"Great venue! Got to see an Icemen game which was a treat for a hockey lover like myself"
9-3-21 I was here for Smackdown Live Front Row. IT was not very bad. I got there around 3pm and it was pretty empty and i was at the front of the door and the people were nice and friendly. The only thing i didn't like was that ALL WWE Fans were NOT Allowed to bring there WWE Belts to the show... which most people said capitalism and 2 groups try to make a scene about it and then 30 mins later the belts were allowed to be in the building. The Bathrooms were Pretty Packed but 7/10, The Staff was pretty nice and respectful, The WWE Staff were amazing that night and i had a great blast. i recommend going again :) :) 3-14-22 6 months ago or so i went to Smackdown in this Same Arena. It was a huge huge Blast this time! I went at the same time sorta but the weather was not bad, i was 7 or 8th in line and Off Topic.. I was Allowed to bring my Mountain Dew Cyclone Sign to show at the show since it was removed off the fountain shelves.. The People were nice like always, i saw the same people like last time, 2 fans of my youtube wrestling vlog seen me and the seats were pretty good too. I was super happy to be apart of the show and meet the wrestlers and see them. The Bathroom were clean, The Staff in the building was nice and helpful, and the Food is GOOD! I recommand everyone to come here for WWE shows. 5/8/23 Here we go AGAIN!!! I was super happy to see WWE Return again! I got to the area around 3pm for Free parking around Palmetto ST. I gotten to see a couple wrestlers come in but the parking lot inside the building is LOCKED so it is not possible to meet and take photos with them. (Suggest Amway Center in Orlando for that) I gotten to the front of the building around 3:30pm and waited until 6:15pm to get inside the building. The Building inside changed a bit, and added a 1 New thing in the food court section. A nice Chicken Grill Spot and it smelled very good but i didn't get the food. The Section i sat at was very good too and wish it was a beat cheaper but the seat view was GREAT!!! I gotten on the fan cam a one time lol. Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Judgement Day, Rhea Ripley, Dana Brooke, Otis, Chad Gable, Maxxinee, Damien Preist, Dominik Mysterio, Trish Stratus, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Imperium, Shinsuake Nakamura and many more were there! I cheer for everyone and the crowd was pretty solid! I recommand everyone to please come here for WWE RAW or Smackdown Shows :)
You definitely should not feel safe here just because it seems like they are being thorough with searches. The staff at this place is horrendous. I walk past the metal detectors and it beeps so I head over to the lady checking peoples belongings. I spot a pocket knife in the bowl and assume it comes from the older man in front of me and as she is talking to him she says "I'm gonna let you go through". This man proceeds to grab his pocket knife put it back in his pocket and enter the building. I didn't say anything but in my head I'm thinking what is wrong with this lady or that maybe she let him in with it because he's older or because it's a tiny pocket knife but neither is an excuse. As she is looking through my bag she finds a pair of kiddie scissors that have a small point on the end but not anymore dangerous then a pocket knife. She says "oh I don't think you can bring those in" I asked her if she was serious but didn't want to make a big scene so I asked if I could get them back after the show is over. She said "yes I will be here and you can get them after or you can speak to a supervisor". After she said that I didn't want to make a fuss so I just went inside the building and after the show we asked someone if my scissors would still be outside and they said "no we don't keep things that get taken at the front". That was when I told the lady that it's crazy how the person who checked my purse let a man in with a pocket knife but I couldn't go inside with kiddie scissors. Either way it was a horrible experience with the staff even though the show was amazing. I hope whoever that lady is gets fired.
VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena is a solid place to enjoy a show or watch some live entertainment. Last week, my wife and I were lucky to win tickets to see Cirque du Soleil Axel on Thursday night. We picked up our tickets at Will Call. Will Call is pretty fluid. I have picked up tickets here maybe three times and I have never waited too long. Getting through security and getting your ticket scanned doesn't take anytime at all. There are multiple places to buy drinks or snacks. We opted for some popcorn with salt and butter for a whopping $8 bucks. Concessions here aren't really cheap. Too bad they haven't learned from the Atlanta Falcons who opened a new stadium a couple of years ago and they sell concessions at a reasonable cost. They actually sell more concessions and make more money then they used to when they charged exorbitant prices. The seating at VyStar is pretty good. We had fairly good seats for the show. We were maybe 12 rows up, but it gave us a great view of the awesome show. I think Cirque shows come here every year and you have to check one out. The bathroom situation is also pretty good. My wife went to the bathroom and she came back pretty quick because she said there were a lot of stalls. Finally some smart design for the ladies bathroom. Parking can be a bit of an issue here, but I have a solid space that is always open for me. I won't be telling you where though. For the rest of you you can pay for parking on site or around the arena. I will for sure be back here to catch another show.
The venue is great in general, but many of those S.A.F.E workers have nasty attitudes. Just went to Disney on Ice and these people were (the ones that wear the grey which appear to be the managers) just nasty to everyone they encountered. The seat Ms were not labeled on the floor and the people in the blue and red didn’t have a clue of seat numbers. I sat where I was instructed the as well as people begging me, and some late comers came in. Then these SAFE workers just had short tempers and blamed everyone in the seat they seated. These people need an attitude adjustment. Especially talking like that to everyone like that with tiny children?!? I’d fire a few of them. I am certain leadership at the arena would easily deduce who these specific individuals are. Other than those certain. Employees, the place is great.
Great venue! Got to see an Icemen game which was a treat for a hockey lover like myself. The venue is very nice. Very spacious and clean. I felt that the custodial staff did and excellent job, especially inn the restrooms. As for the event... Ticket prices ought to reflect your market and they certainly did not. The face value cost was higher than most AHL games I've gone to with worse seats. The team needs work but that's exactly what you expect at the ECHL level. All things considered is definitely go again and recommend catching a game (especially if you can get discounted tickets so they're a realistic price) Please don't drink and drive. The number of belligerently drunk individuals leaving the game was a little disheartening. The police could've met their quotas with ease.
Cash is not accepted but they give out vouchers in exchange for cash. The problem with that is the vouchers are taken by the vendors so if I spend 6 dollars I have to give them a ten dollar voucher and I don't get back any change. Also, security in the parking lot was non-existent and my daughter and I saw a fight break out in which a woman was tasered and a man choked two other women and a woman tried to run people over with her car. The worst part was that our seats were at the top and we couldn't see the performers at all because there was no big screens showing them like there usually are at most concerts. It just wasn't worth the hundreds of dollars I spent.
My daughter had graduation rehearsal at 9am June 5,2023. I and several other parents including students parked in the parking lot. At 10am a staff (Laura)pulled up next to me in a black car. She open her car door and hit my car door. I said excuse me miss you hit the door. She replied you parked in my parking spot. Why are you here. I replied I am here waiting for my child to get out of rehearsal. Sorry, I was not aware of this parking spot being someone due to there is nothing marking it. She open the door a second time and hit my car harder. Yes, called reported her after I got my child home. I don't feel like my car safe to be parking here. Like mind blowing.
Went to a Machine Gun Kelly concert feat. iann dior and blackbear so there was a lot going on and hard to not have a great time!! Sound was great and amazing special effects (lighting, FIRE, rose petals falling from sky, prop helicopter moving through arena). We had floor seats which were more expensive but didn’t know they would be folding chairs? Also they clearly didn’t come with cup holders so that was a bummer with nowhere to put your overpriced drinks. Overall concert was amazing. Floor seating just isn’t the best in this arena.
Was here for an Iceman hockey game and enjoyed the evening. The stadium is well laid out with vendors and restrooms. It wasn't too busy and couldn't tell how it would do with a full house. I know that other sports play here. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was pretty constant in the area for 10 bucks. Do not know about pricing for other events but was a bit high, almost the same for a Jags game which was disappointing. I would have thought it would be less. Overall, both my son and I enjoyed the evening.
Easy access to parking $10 in covered lot. Close walk. Food & drinks super expensive. Cannot get a cup of ice for your $8 bottle of soda or $4 bottle of water. And cannot bring your own cup into venue. They are afraid you might drink out of water fountain. Gave 4 stars because shows are always good. Purchased floor seats this time because I cannot maneuver the stairs. (Arthritis) Looked like a lot of people on floor lever were there for similar reasons.
Love this place, they are very well organized and i feel completely safe in this venue due to security. it is well maintained, all facilities are clean and well staffed. Though while waiting in line for hours i noticed they took away facilities to use the restroom this year and there were elderly and pregnant women using a single person bathroom and they waited well over an hour in line for that and that is terrible.
What a wonderful venue! I traveled to awesome Jacksonville to see back-to-back events at this arena. I saw Joe Rogan's comedy show on Friday night and then, on Saturday, attended UFC 273! The stadium's location makes it easy to get in and out. As well, there are ample parking options in and around the arena. The seats are very comfortable and there are tons of vendor concessions throughout the arena.
Very nice arena, some seats are hard and some soft, can see the event from all seats. If you are seating in the stage area there is no restroom close by and that makes it difficult for a handicap person. They are a long tiresome walk from the stage area. There is plenty of parking area. The Police was very gracious and helpful.l enjoyed every moment of my visit except the restroom experience.
Had a great time at the New Edition concert! The venue was organized and prepared for the crowd, .unlike the horrible experience we had at the New Edition concert in Columbus, GA two months ago. My only complaint, EVERYTHING is very expensive! A bottle of water was $7.50!!! I was not that thirsty. I guess that's what we have come to in 2022. It will be $10 in a couple of yrs.
I enjoy all of the events I attend here and love the variety of options that the city provides. I've attended many events here including music showcases, comedy shows, and graduations among other things. The service is always great, and I'm thankful that Jax has a place to put on large scale events for the area and surrounding locales.
I visited here most recently for the circus but I've been on a number of occasions. We were a little confused locating our section but the attendants were great with getting us to our seats rather quickly. Parking was easy but a bit far which is expected. Overall great experience each time I've been here.
My friends and I had a wonderful time together at the Toby Mac concert! It was like five worship services rolled into one! The venue itself was well maintained and very clean. Vendors were courteous, friendly and helpful. The restroom was tidy and stocked. My only problem was dealing with all the stairs!
First time going to a Backstreet Boys concert. The staff at the arena were super friendly. Food was good, drinks little pricey but hey you are at an event so it’s to be expected. The security was well organized so the lines went quick. The arena was clean. Will definitely be going back for another event.
We went to see Twenty One Pilots. Our seats granted us a great view of the stage and performance. The facilities were clean and conveniently located. There were plenty routes to be taken to enter and exit the venue. It got a little crowded at the end of the night. All-in-all we had a great time.
State of the art facility for concerts and sporting events. Lots of parking nearby for $10 to $20. Were able to park within 3 blocks and had several choices to grab a bite on the way from parking to facility. Easy to navigate to your seats. Grrat view of stage from any seat, good acoustics!
Every seat is a good seat to see an event. $6 for a pretzel and $10 for a beer is a bit crazy! $5 small coke and $6 gotten candy! We made popcorn and brought unopened bottled water and placed it in a cinch sack type backpack and they let us bring it in. With 5 people that's a big savings.
Such a good event. And I want to clear up the negative post below. WWE was the ones who did not allow belts or signs to be brought into the arena. Now people were walking around with belts inside because they BOUGHT them inside the arena. It was not the arenas decision, it was WWE’s.
Been a while since I went to an event here. Got some tickets to a Jacksonville Icemen hockey game, so I took my 13yo son with me. Great time, friendly staff, cheap parking, and not too high prices for food and drinks. Only thing that could have been better would be an overtime win.
Usually a very pleasant experience but this time we got permission to bring a child's sippy bottle (by calling in) and were denied at the gate. I've asked in the past if we needed an authorization letter and was always told no but now at the gate I was told I needed one.
Took these pictures as a goodbye to the city we loved so much as we were moving out of state at the time. I looked at them at least twice a week until thank God, we finally made it home. We even brought back a new Duval diva addition to the city!! #Duuuvall
First time to Vystar Vet. Memorial. Enjoyed my time there. The venue was awesome to see Celine Dion 2 nights ago. Felt very safe as there was a nice police presence. Parked in a near by parking lot for a decent price. Second time around will be fantastic.
My friend and I had a Very Good Time we got to get some Autographs of Players and Cheerleaders and they Won BIG Time now have Won 7 games in a Row, I will be there again Saturday for the Last Home Game it will be Pretty Cray? I Imagine? Thanks for Asking
Went here for the winter jam concert. It was only $15 per person, and the music was super good. I was surprised at how many people were there and loved the atmosphere of the concert! I'm looking forward to going again next year for another fun concert.
Nice arena! We went to root on the Orlando Solar Bears hockey team who took on Jacksonville's Icemen. We were pleasantly surprised with how modern and well-kept the arena was. Sections were clearly distinguishable and the seats were very comfortable.
It was really nice. I had a great time, even the bathrooms were clean. Just one thing, eat or drink before you get there. 32 dollars for 2 grilled cheese sandwiches and 15 dollars for 2 20oz waters. Other than the food prices, everything was great!
This was our first Icemen game and we had a blast. They did a great job keeping the crowd entertained during breaks and my kids never got bored. Oh yeah, there was hockey game to watch. The Icemen won 2-1 making it for an exciting evening out.
I'm not sure how this place operates at full capacity but i Saw Marvel universe live at 11am on a Saturday and i was in and out fairly quick.. plenty of parking and they where pretty efficient in getting people in and out of the parking garage
Great time at the Icemen Hockey Game! This was our very 1st hockey experience! The staff were amazing: kind, attentive and super helpful! Food was amazing; Dicks Wings were on point! Sat around Season Ticket holders who literally helped us
Tonight was my 5th or 6th Wwe event in this arena. We travel all the way from Tallahassee for each show but for some odd reason they were turning away people that tried to enter the Wwe event with a wrestling belt or sign, saying that no
My husband and I attended the Katt Williams 2023 and Me show. The show itself is a whole other review. But if you're attending any show at this venue, DO NOT purchase "premium" seating tickets on the floor like we did for this show. The
Have been for a Jacksonville Sharks game (arena football), a few Jacksonville IceMen games (ECHL hockey), and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert. Great venue. There are plenty of parking options. I prefer to park in the parking garage
Went for the monster truck show!!! Great show but honestly that arena is just too small for that show. I can understand the big show gets the biggest stadium but it would be nice if the smaller races like this had more room to show off.
I had an amazing experience at Vystar veterans memorial arena. Amazing facility, great atmosphere and a memorable experience. I had gone with some office colleagues, will bring my spouse for multiple events this year.
Amazing time at the Sharks and Icemen games on two separate occasions. Both times all the security staff as well as the building staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. My son and I will definitely be back again!
Had a good time seeing IMAGINE DRAGONS pretty nice arena I saw a hockey game here. The suites are nice with a good viewing. Bathrooms were a little clean. And also lots of food. Pretty big and a multi event arena.
The Imagine Dragons concert was amazing!!! Definitely top three of my life. The arena was clean and the vendors were very friendly and served the drinks and food quickly. A bit expensive but that's to be expected.
Jeff Dunham was amazing! But the seating SUCKS! your so close to the people next to you that you can't move. Just a couple more inches would be nice. Seats are made for people 10 inches wide or less.
Dec. 7 2021! This was a wonderful venue! Great security. They checked vaccination cards. Masks were suggested, but not mandated. Had an amazing time with my dad at the Jimmy Buffet concert!
Awesome mid size arena. We went to UFC 261 here and it was a great place to see an event. Convenient close parking which wasn’t outrageous. Easy in and out. Will return for an event here.
It’s great that they have a place where we can enjoy all of the great entertainment, but I do not support cashless anything. Love you guys, but I have to stand by what I believe.
Went for a recent Avengers show. Sat in a company box and it was really nice. A lot of traffic to get in and parked for big events so I recommend aiming for an early arrival.
Was in the suites which had a stacked mini fridge, fresh popcorn and nice chairs and TV. Great view of the game. Everyone was wearing masks and following procedures to be safe
Place was Awesome had Nice seats to...the atmosphere was great the historical section was great also lots of sports history from all kinds of players/teams in that section!!!
Great place for an amazing concert tonight. I must say one of the lady supervisors who was working the bottom tonight was very nice to get us crazy fans to the right area .
Very encouraging, motivating, and Spiritually enlightening! Jehovah's Witness "Exercise Patience" Reginald Convention!!! July 7-9 Free to Public! Men Women Children.....
Great arena. Plenty of space. Comfortable seats. A lot of options for snack and drinks. View from section 105, row J, seats 7 and 8. Jelly Roll concert!
Took my daughter to her first hockey game and she loved it. It was a special night for Elementary school safety patrols which made it even more special!
Wonderful experience, easy parking, food and beverage available at venue. Great view with seating. Jax Sports Tavern right next door for pre-gaming...
Great family environment, but occasional drunk fools depending on event attending. Bathrooms (men's) are absolutely annihilated within the first hour.
Great concerts at Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena..have been to quite a few. We enjoyed another show last night. Carrie Underwood!!
First hockey game ever Icemen are very entertaining and competitive. 12/10 on the ice - family friendly event ❤️ …
I did a shift here with Instawork. All was well! Parking was a little far but I made it! No complaints with staff or otherwise!
Attended an Icemen game - they put on an excellent show and the food here is better than most major league venues I’ve been to.
Best event I have ever been to in a long time PBR Bull Rider's. Fun filled entertainment for all ages! We had a great time....
Attended an Icemen playoff game and sat in sec. 109 row AA. Had a fantastic view! There's not really a bad seat in the place.
TSO was outstanding as always. My rating if for the arena it's self. One complaint...THE SEATS ARE PAINFULLY UNCOMFORTABLE!!
Last night's NKOTB concert was one of the best productions I have seen at Vystar' Memorial arena. Great staff, awesome show.
Great place to see concerts. Some of the most comfortable seats for an arena. Mid-sized venue makes concerts sound great.
Awesome concert experience! REBA, Terri Clark, and The Isaac's were great and Vystar made the experience exceptional!
Let's go Icemen, the stadium is small enough that it's easy to navigate but big enough that it doesn't feel cramped.
We had a great time at a Sharks game!!! Family friendly environment and great concession stand food and well priced!
Great night for a Jax Icemen Hockey game. They really need to do something about the parking though. Way too slow
Crew was fast had people going in and out fast. Went to Trans Siberia Orchestra concert. Always a great show.
Great concert with the Mixtape Tour 2022 with NKOTB and friends. Three (3) hours of non-stop music and fun.
Saw wildn out live. It was a great show venue was clean, bathrooms were clean and staff was very friendly.
Great time, clean, and a good variety of food and drinks. Gotta say I was freezing cold though.
Legacy tour 2023 was just amazing, a definite must see and experience. Awesome crowd as well
Great Arena for ECHL hockey and easy to navigate. Friendly staff to assist you as needed.
We went to an Icemen hockey game. Everything was well organized, and people were helpful.
The most amazing b time. Great venue..FYI, plenty of concession food items folks!!
Easy parking in garage but you pay dearly to walk across street to the center.
Best concert Venue in Jax Where All the Major Concerts abd Tours come!!
