Context & summary: I attended the Camp WNDR event with my sister since I got free tickets through DoMore206 - we didn't expect much, but definitely thought it would be more engaging and interactive as it was advertised. The staff were nice. Their gift shop was more exciting than the exhibits itself, I bought a plant pot ($35) from the artist Valfre. My thoughts based on my experience: I can understand what they were going for but I personally think the space was extremely small/under-utilized, the exhibits were all right. We enjoyed the "You Can Do Most Anything" & "Hyper Mirror" installation. I'm not sure if there were other exhibits that we missed or were not included since we went during the week, but there wasn't anything special about the experience. Had I paid for my ticket, I would've been even more disappointed and displeased. It took us maybe 30 minutes to go through, and was, dare I say, boring? The excitement/enjoyment is short-lived, if that, and after they gave us complimentary "bug juice" & we played jenga in their lounge area ... a few others were making friendship bracelets and they had a cornhole set-up outside ... I understand it's part of the "summer camp" theme but honestly, it was really cringey. Overall, I would advertise this as a spot for youth under 10, if that. The entry price should be lowered, but of course with all the tech involved, the museum's electricity bill & location are probably the main reasons for the steep price point. It felt very fake deep to me, personally, it was a lot of AI comprised art-work and wasn't a comfortable experience for me in that regard. If discomfort and contradiction was the point of the museum, they executed it well, but I fear it's trend and social media based not art or artist-based. Just very lackluster and detached, for me personally, I would not go again and instead would spend my time and money at MoPop, MoHAI, or SAM.

One star because of price/value. Also they add a convenience fee for purchasing tickets. Tickets were 38 per adult plus a 3 dollar fee for the 'convenience' of buying them online. I think it's crazy to charge that way, AND especially because it's a physical location with staff. The staff were great. Helpful and knowledgeable about the exhibits. The exhibits were visually very cool. If you are a looking at the marketing materials though you have probably seen all the exhibits. There are only maybe 4-5 interactive things there, and I think all are used in the advertisements. I liked the Hyper mirror as a concept, but was disappointed in the 2 different experiences, they are almost identical. It uses the same 'graphics' package, and assets. It's kinda like one experience is just a shuffled version of the other. Overall I think it was a really nice museum, but I was disappointed because of the size and convenience fee. It's harsh but a one star review is really the only way to give feedback the value and fee, because it was pretty bad. I also felt that the size the museum, and number of exhibits is less forgivable because the gift shop and cafe are about the same size as the exhibits. So it not really feasible that that they didn't have enough space, If you want to see cool light shows the Pacific Science Centers Laser light show is a way better value, but it's not exactly the same. We did not expirience any wait, and went on a Saturday night. So that was nice. However if they didn't manage lines or the number of people in there the museum would be really boring / unpleasant. I would say the vibe of the place felt extractive, like you paid a relatively high extrance fee, and WNDR is giving you the bare minimum back in terms of experience.

I recently visited the WNDR Museum in Seattle, an interactive art and technology museum, with high expectations. Unfortunately, my experience was far from ideal, and I cannot wholeheartedly recommend it to others. Upon arrival, we were allowed inside as per our reservation, but soon discovered that the museum was exceedingly crowded. After starting the exhibition, we had to wait inside for 30 minutes before we could see the main attraction due to the packed environment. This frustrating delay set the tone for the rest of our visit, as the overcrowding made it difficult to fully immerse ourselves in the exhibits. Another major issue was the loud, annoying music that seemed to be blasting throughout the museum. Instead of complementing the exhibits, the music was a major distraction, making it challenging to concentrate on the art or engage in conversation with my companions. In some areas, the noise level was so high that it was bordering on unbearable. That being said, the museum does house some genuinely fascinating and interactive exhibits. A few of the installations were quite thought-provoking, and I appreciated the blend of art and technology. However, the overcrowding and noise level severely diminished our ability to enjoy these displays to their fullest potential. In conclusion, while the WNDR Museum in Seattle has the potential to be an engaging and unique attraction, my experience was marred by the overcrowding, long wait times inside the exhibition, and irritating music. I would advise potential visitors to consider visiting during off-peak hours or waiting for a special event where crowd control and ambiance might be better managed.

I went to this location on a Sunday and for almost $45 a ticket after fees and taxes, I had higher hopes than an exhibit that I could have walked through in about 15 mins. The staff was very friendly, and seemed enthusiastic about presenting all the experiences to visitors and although there weren’t a lot exhibits to see, the few that did exists were pretty cool (hence three stars). My favorite display was the walking tunnel with an interactive floor— the downside? It was literally the front entry so we didn’t even get to fully enjoy it because there were people coming in behind us. Considering this is an immersive experience with very few “experiences”, this would have been better placed in the middle of the exhibit, that way you could have gone back for seconds if you felt so inclined. My least favorite? Waiting 45mins in a line for 2 minutes (and I mean that literally) worth of mirrors and music. When we first put our names on the list, it told us we would be waiting 90 minutes! But considering the exhibit takes less than 15mins to walk through, my guess is most people didn’t even stick around to wait which shortened our total wait time. I’ve been to many immersive experiences around this country and this was by far my biggest let down. I get this is Seattle and everything is overpriced but even still, this was way too expensive for what it was. If you were my friend, I’d tell you to save your money. But that’s just me.

I came to write a review and was shocked by how many negative reviews there were. I agree it isn't the biggest museum and if there is a large crowd I could see it not being as great, but there is a lot to like here! The exhibits are thoughtfully placed to make the best use of the space. The staff is super helpful and gives some great tips on how to get a good experience out of some of the exhibits. And the exhibits themselves offer you a chance to explore your own perspectives and assumptions about art. You don't get much time in the infinity mirror room but it is a super cool experience! I visited on a Saturday in mid April around 6pm which was perfect. There weren't many people so my partner and I got to explore the exhibits and spend more time enjoying the experience. My one complaint would be the price. We spent about $40 per person, but I feel that $30 would've been more appropriate given the size of the museum. Still I think this is an excellent experience for a rainy weekend evening.

First, this is not a reflection based on the people that work at the WNDR museum. They were fantastic. It was very expensive for a family of 5 adults and one child to enter. We had seen lots of great videos and photos and were excited about the contents of the museum. The reality is that it is very small and extremely limited inside. The installations are interesting but there is little to hold your attention for more than a minute. For example, one whole 'installation' is a person who gives you a sweet that looses it's sourness. Fun but like 20 seconds. It feels like a slightly cynical cash grab and what was particularly annoying is lots of the videos and images circulating are installations that are no longer there. You could be in and out in 10 mins. We stretched it to 35 because it cost so much.

My partner & I planned a trip to Seattle from Bellingham for our anniversary & a big part of this trip was coming to the WNDR Museum, our tickets were for 4:30pm & we received an email at 2:30 saying they had booked a private event for the evening and any tickets after 4pm would have to be refunded or rescheduled. We didn’t see the email considering we were already on the road so we showed up at the scheduled time. The staff was very nice & offered a refund & to comp our tickets for another day but considering we had come out of town for this event the comped tickets weren’t much help. Overall just very unprofessional to book an event for a night where you’re already booked up with people who paid to attend your event, & even more unprofessional to let your patrons know only 2 hours before they’re supposed to arrive.

The museum is really small and definitely overpriced. Some of the exhibits are very interactive and cool, but the majority are exceedingly underwhelming. Museums like this are what make people think that digital art is an overpriced scam, which is a shame because digital art has such high potential. My partner and I went through each installation twice, once without reading the explanation/bio, then after reading it. Perhaps we are complete philistines, but we felt that the artists' intention was not executed in a way that was clear to viewers. I've been to other museums like this in other big cities and this one is definitely the biggest let down. If it had been $20 entrance fee I wouldn't be feeling as robbed, but for $40 I would advise people to save their money.

We visited the wndr museum during their tattoo and tarot event and don't get me wrong the museum itself was fantastic and so interesting however the event was severely lacking. Tickets were sold with specific time slots meaning you were only able to get in during your set purchased time. When we arrived at our ticket time (only 1 hour after the event began) we were told the tattoo queue was already closed, their wine slushies were gone, the stone goody bags were completely picked over, the line for a tarot reading wrapped all the way to the entrance, and the mirror room was closed. We were told upon arrival that they stopped paying attention to ticket times and they were just letting people in. So, becaue we honored our ticket time we missed out on the full experience of the event. Had I known this I would have arrived prior to my ticket time. Over all we had a 3 star experience.

This was hardly immersive, I was definitely immersed in a overcrowded 45 minute line full of awkward first dates and screaming children. 45 minute line for two minutes in the mirror room with strangers. They show you some vague cheesy video about social media…. The mirror room itself is very unique but they don’t give you time to admire the mirrors . They show you a video and kick you out . VIP just means you pay more BTW . It’s crazy how little effort went into this whole installment. Best part of the whole experience was the first 10 seconds when you enter the exhibit. Which is a mirror hallway and light up galaxy floor. Kinda just felt like an idiot as I walked though the rest. If you have kids and screaming toddlers though, come here!!! They’ll have a blast.

The museum was very small considering the tickets were almost $40. It was very cool in the brief moment I got to see a room. However, while oblivious to where the lines were going and no security standing in front of doors, I opened a room, and felt the security guard dig her nails into my back. I politely asked her to not touch me like that, then kind of went into a panic attack. I told the manager on duty and he assured me I would get to come and try my experience again for free (that was a lie) I reached out to Jenny and Sarah, they both stopped replying because I couldn’t go on the day the wanted me to go, stating I was “worried about lines” which I wasn’t, I just didn’t want nails dug into my back again.

Fun experience but a bit pricey and smaller than expected. Went to an After Dark event (CAMP WNDR) on a Thursday evening/night and it was missing a few of the things listed on their event page (no s’mores or live music), so… some false advertisement. Ticket price was already pushing it a little for this experience but would *def* be too much without the event extras or if it had been crowded. Staff were all super nice tho! Other event/After Dark details: we got to go in through the entrance or exit, so we could’ve had repeat laps if we wanted. Also got a photo booth token for coming in our “camp gear”, which was nice. I believe the event ticket price was the same as a normal ticket, so might be worth it to go to one of those to get a bit more of your money’s worth.

The pictures you see on Facebook and Instagram are the best it gets. I would highly recommend waiting for the Van Gogh exhibit to reopen: you get way more for your money there. Or, if you’re on Alaskan Way, just go to the aquarium. Tickets for WNDR were about $40/per adult and $30/per child. We were in and out in 45 minutes. The exhibits that were there did show talent, and some were very thought provoking. I wish the carnival-type music from one of the main exhibits wasn’t so loud because that did have an effect on being able to enjoy the other exhibits. Overall, I feel there are much better exhibits and museums in Seattle than WNDR.

Boyfriend got a migraine from the same carnival song playing over and over again.. there needs to be more art because you have to be on an hour+ wait-list to see the main attraction and what they do have can easily be seen in under half an hour leaving you to question if it's worth waiting half an hour standing around listening to the same song over and over when the wait could be for something just as underwhelming as the rest. We didn't wait. For $85 bucks for 2 of us.. I made a bad date choice tonight . I never read reviews so hopefilly I can learn from this and also help someone else. Plus they need to hear this feedback!

There are so many things I would rate a 5star about this place but overall I would have to say 3.5 maybe …. Starting off with the price, I paid $43 per person. With it being so expensive I wish it was much bigger. We were in and out in about 40 min and that was going through the whole thing twice. I saw this place advertised on TikTok and it looked really cool. There were parts of it that were really cool! But mostly a little underwhelming with all the hype. Concept 10/10! But yeah wish there was more. Some highlights for me was the fortune teller machine, music beat box , sweet/sour taster, windstorm room and the hallway that was touch activated. I do wish the sound/music was better. That part was interesting ..

I bought tickets for the Tarot & Tattoo event so that I could get a flash tattoo. To be honest, that was the only reason why I booked the tickets in the first place. We showed up early to get on the sign in sheet, waited in line for an hour and a half, confirmed they had the correct phone number and name, then explored the exhibits. We waited hours for them to call us. After waiting until 10:30pm, we decided to leave since the museum was closing anyway and they still hadn't called us. I understand that they only had two tattoo artists but this was a sold out event. If they knew that there would be so many people, they should've hired more artists or maybe they shouldn't have sold so many tickets?

Very small, and feels like there was an idea for a museum and they really had to stretch to get it filled up with content. For $40 you expect more than a few exhibits with one “showstopper”. The special mirror room is also a long wait…. Despite tickets already having set times you can’t arrive past. The exhibits themselves are just…. Not that cool. A few rooms with projectors. A lot of screens with images (one is just four tvs with AI art scrolling). All in all, way over expensive for an exhibit that feels more like a bad business school project than an artistic work realized.

We went on a Monday night and had the whole place to ourselves. We spent just over an hour and had a great time-- I may have been disappointed if it had been crowded, as you need to be fully immersed to enjoy the art. It isn't something you can watch others interact with and find it equally as interesting. If you can manage to go at a time it isn't busy it is definitely worth the ticket price. The staff was also wonderful and helped us to experience every exhibit to its fullest. I would give yourself 60-90 minutes to enjoy everything, and wouldn't suggest bringing children!

I don’t know why there are so many negative reviews lol maybe they had expectations it was like SAM. Anyways it is small but anyone could be there for hours experiencing light and sound in new ways! Felt like magic and we had a blast! The staff were absolutely great and so friendly! My friend Bri and I got banger pictures. We went late on a Saturday night during a holiday and didn’t feel crowded at all. Colin (hopefully spelled correctly) was staff and an angel! He told us about the artist and showed us where things were. Can’t wait to go back!

Definitely not worth around $40 per person. Half of the things shown in their ads are not at the Seattle location. The exhibits in this museum are hit or miss, and the whole thing took around half an hour to get through. There was little to no thematic continuity or insightful messaging, and part of the museum is just NFT art. Their “meditation” room was extremely overstimulating. I can’t recommend this to anyone besides someone extremely into looking at mirrors and huge LED screens. Go to PacSci or a modern art museum instead.

Overall fun experience because we went with a big group of friends. The staff were all very helpful and there were plenty of them around to assist if needed. I just wish it was bigger, the exhibits don’t take long at all to interact with and they’re all kinda the same, just random lights and sounds. The mirror room is interesting but nothing spectacular. I’m glad I did it for the one time experience but it’s definitely not a repeat experience. Know what you’re going for and what to expect and it will be enjoyable. Of course weekends will be packed so if you want a more private experience, go during the week.

It just felt like a cheap cash grab. There were some reasonably cool exhibits but for $40(after fees) it was just not doing much. For instance, there was a little part where you could prompt an ai to draw something. 2yrs ago that would've been very cool, but at this point we've all seen Dalle(and whatever ai they used was frankly less impressive than most mainstram ai art bots). There was also just lots of empty and awkward space, like they didn't have enough content to fill the gallery. It's a fun idea but the execution was lackluster, truly. If you've seen the ig ads than you've seen the museum.

Way overpriced for the experience. We understood what they were trying to do, but it was disappointing for the price, especially because we had traveled to see it, and had guests from out of town. Got thru the experience with 4 people in about 20 minutes. The line for the mirror room was over an hour, and since there was nothing left to see while we waited, we just left. Not hating on the art but the whole thing was a bit uneventful. When you walk in you have a touch activated floor that, then you can push buttons and make lights go with sounds, you can go look at a pumpkin from a few different angles. The wait for the mirror room was not worth it although it did go by fast. I think the coolest thing was the storm shed, nothing there lasts more than 1 min so the duration of time you spend there will not be long as the space is very small.

If you read through the reviews the most common complaint is the long wait times and crowding. For the best experience DO NOT go on the weekends, you won't appreciate the museum. Go Monday - Thursday when there are no crowds and you will be able to take in the immersive experiences much better. Overall there was some interesting exhibits, the interactive ones are the most fun and visually pleasing. Would recommend you check it out mid-week!

I would like to give it a better review because the staff was very nice but the museum was a big let down and very overpriced for what it is. We paid $38.50 per person before tax. This is almost exactly the same we paid for Superblue in Miami, which is probably 4x the size and infinitely better than WNDR. Nothing really stood out here. On the weekend, expect a 20-30 minute wait for the Hyper Mirror and the free poem respectively.

Left me with an “is that it?” feeling. Overall fun concept but really just doesn’t stack up to the admission price. It starts off really cool with the snow and mirrors and then has the really fun trolls like music box, but the other parts feel very unfinished or just lacking, also the whole thing is very small. Not worth the entry price. There was a two hour wait for the main attraction mirror room, and there is hardly an hour of stuff to see inside, if you stretch it, to take up that time. I was in and out in 25 minutes and that was because we spent 15 min in the gift shop. The art work is mid at best. For the $172.20 it took to get the four of us into this museum I’d say it was almost a complete waste of time. After we looked at all the displays which looked like there were made by my kids in art class I found myself in the awkward position of finding another activity to fill the time.

It was a good time. It was like a digital art/light museum. It took us about 2 hours to go through it and we took our time. Went on a Friday, it wasn't busy. This was a fun exhibit. They have a VIP option and I didn’t think it would have been worth it to buy-only because there was literally no line, and the exhibit was not so big that you would want to re-enter, as you can stay inside for as long as you want. I didn’t see Yayoi Kusama pumpkin though. There was an exhibit that was very similar to her Infinity Lights-which has incredible. The employees were helpful and patient. Bathrooms are located inside of the exhibit.

Had an amazing time attending the tattoo and tarot event! I knew it was sold out, so i didn’t show up with the expectations of actually getting a tattoo. Loved making my own tarot card, making a protection blend, trying their yummy wine slushee that i got to add a picture of the mountains to, and checking out the interactive art exhibits! My friends and i had a blast!!

I am all in for this concept and love that they are playing with updating what a museum experience can be in a modern era. From what I've seen I love their organizational values. I'm excited to see what else they do. I do hope they have more exhibit space to fill and it's probably most enjoyable when it's not very busy. I love love their current feature artist. I wasn't familiar with her but reading through the exhibit, I need to be. She's totally my vibe.

Just don’t do it, y’all I took the reviews with a grain of salt and it was honestly worse than I was expecting. Very very small, and if it’s busy then you have to wait in lines just to try and enjoy one of the like, 5 installations. Went here for a special Pride Night After Hours. Museum After Dark is every 3rd Thursday of the month. There was a special fashion show featuring the designs of Bryce Rail. Lots of fun, interactive pieces. Loved the floor that lit up wherever you took a step. They also currently have a piece by Yayoi Kusama. Great for a date night idea.

Went to the after hours event in May to check out the space. The space was crowded, however we got to do everything except for one. Overall I was underwhelmed. It was just ok. I was hoping to check out the space and take my team to it but after experiencing it, it fell short of experiential art museums, art, or museums. Didn’t really leave with a new perspective- some mild social fun. We went there with new friends and it was nice to break the ice.

Please skip it. I’ve been to many museums. This one is really pushing the definition of museum. It’s a few rooms with lights , mirrors , monitors and projectors. Wife and I went last week. $36 a person and paid for parking. If you just want to look at color and shapes go to the Chihuly Museum. MoPOP is also a better choice.

Sadly, disappointed. I REALLY wanted to like this museum/the exhibits. Two issues: 1) Scheduling/crowds. Tickets are sold at designated times but when we went the primary exhibits were +35-40 minute waits. The staff apologized and agreed it was over-crowded. 2. Way over-hyped. The exhibits are interesting, not ground-breaking. If they weren't so hyped online we might have been gently surprised vs. left expecting more.

Museum with modern tech art. Honestly for 35+ dollars it was not worth it at all. Some exhibits were cool near the entrance but there's really only like 6 or 7 exhibits which I feel like isn't worth the cost. I would've given it 2 stars but the staff and service were 5/5 so I bumped it up one star.

We reserved a time and bought 4 tickets in advance to come to this exhibition. However, when we arrive, the “hyper mirror” staff told us the waitlist is 1.5 hour and we can’t get in before the store closes. They then gave us a name card and suggested us to contact the general manager. I didn’t hear back from the managers after sending 2 emails. If you wanna waste $40 for a trash exhibition, please come here.

Fun, interactive art exhibit but admission price is probably 2-3 x's what it should be, based on the relatively small size of the exhibit. $38 for an adult and $28 for a 4 yr old felt like highway robbery as we were leaving 37 minutes after we entered (and we toured the exhibit twice).

Getting two stars because the staff is excellent. But seriously - skip this. It's mostly AI art and really small. Plus, it's just weird because they have an exhibit about an artist who got extremely depressed about her work being copied but that's LITERALLY this museum. They copied other ppls art and shoved it in AI to make it 'new' and then ask 'is this Art'? Not worth the high price tag.

A unique experience, interactive art. We had never experienced this type of setting before and it was hard to pull yourself away from each exhibit immersion to move on to the next. Worth the stop if in Seattle skip Starbucks you can buy that anywhere now. This place is a must experience kind of place.

Cool interactive exhibits, along with some more thought provoking ones. Great experience just too short. Pricey yes, but that’s art. Plus the location is right on the waterfront. I tried the red pill, but I wish I woulda done blue one. I feel like if I brought a kid they wouldn’t want to leave.

It was cool walking in, but it was definitely overpriced. $38 per person is double what is worth. If tickets were $20, the value would have matched the price. But there are only a couple of things worth doing, and even doing everything, it took 30 minutes.

The makers market is a great experience. Kasha Sofia is one of my favorite artists to see. Check her out on Instagram and order your art. Makers market is once a month, it will be the last Sunday of October I believe. Can't wait to check it out again!!

Disappointed that it wasn’t at all what they advertised. It said that it takes about hour and half to go around which I planned for and I went through in 20 mins. Theres only 3 interactive things otherwise it’s just art on the wall. Definitely not worth it for the amount of money you spend.

Extremely overpriced trying to make bucks off gimmicky instagram ads. If it was reasonably priced it would be worth it but instead they want to overcharge and try to dupe a few people. Hopefully the reviews encourage them to drastically reduce their prices and bring in more people rather than gouge the few that don’t do their research before attending.

This was a fun way to spend the evening. Some of the exhibits were really cool; some, I didn't even realize were exhibits until I took the survey at the end. I would like to experience this in other cities to compare experiences.

Likely not worth your time, but could be better with children along. Misleading advertising regarding featured artists, and the pieces there feel largely amateurish and conceptually underdeveloped. The curation overall feels more concerned with being trendy than anything else.

We visited this on Thursday and our experience was great. There weren't many people so we were able to enjoy the exhibits completely and we had enough time to explore each exhibit thoroughly. We loved all the exhibits. Staff was really helpful in getting us wholesome experience. Overall, it was wonderful! More

Their after hours events are horrible. Oversold the event. I paid an exuberant amount of money to wait in lines for things I would never even be able to do before closing. I showed up at my exact ticket time and it was so packed we were able to do nothing. $65 for two people to look at two exhibits. Horrible.

Seattle needs more art! WNDR is such a great addition to our city. So different, fun and engaging. A must-see. I even love their gift shop! So nicely curated. Gum wall socks?! Get atta here!

I was lucky enough to go on a day it was free, because I wouldn’t be able to afford going on a regular day. It was cute, and there are a couple of pieces that are explained… but I wouldn’t pay $40 to go in. The photo booth was not printing pictures that day and it was very disappointing

Wow! I knew WNDR would be something special, but this was above my expectation. There is a Kusama piece on display for the entire city to see from the street, and the experiences inside were fun and engaging - even for my kids. We all loved it from start to finish. Get there, Seattle!

I’m glad I tried it but wouldn’t go again. The admission is pretty expensive for what you get. The exhibit itself is just too small. I thought there would be more interactive art pieces. Kind of a disappointment.

Great experience, be sure to read all the explanations and a lot of cool contributing facts! We took 3 teenagers 14 & 16 and they all really enjoyed it, maybe the neural network digital art a little too much...you could do endless possibilities with ideas.

Interesting works, but there aren't alot of them. So the experience was extremely underwhelming for the price. Wouldn't recommend going.

Its cool to see, but you’ll see the bare minimum. The price was high for what we saw. It was not worth it and I wouldn’t do it again. If there was more to see, I would recommend but the exhibit is tiny.

It was an okay experience. The whole thing takes less than 20 minutes to go through and honestly not worth the money. It would’ve been cool if they had more things to see that made it worth the money.
