I have used Wagner since they installed my heating/cooling system in 2011. Wagner is not the cheapest HAVAC, plumbing company in Albuquerque but their works is always top-notch. It is important to note that Wagner will schedule a service on a specific day but not a specific time. So be sure you have a free day before you schedule. However, when the service date arrives Wagner does an excellent job at keeping you informed about who the service tech is and their arrival time. Our most recent service was to replace a sump pump on our cooling system. As has been my experience with Wagner, the technician who did our service, Dennis Elliott, was knowledgeable and professional. 04/18/23. An update. Wagner just completed my annual summer service. Both techs, Barney Gallegos & Andres Villanueva, answered all my questions and provided excellent service. 05/05/23. Barney Gallegos came because the pilot light had gone out on our water heater. I was at work, so he explained things thoroughly to my wife. He blew out the dust from underneath the water heater, and it’s worked fine ever since. 09/14/2023. Barney returned to our house to complete a recommended shut-off valve replacement. I'm happy with the work that was done.

I have never had so much pleasure having to have a repairman. Jose Sanchez is a dynamite technician, knows his stuff, polite, informative, friendly and his having involved me as the owner at every step put my mind to rest. The work was beyond my best expectations, was thorough, and carried out in a steady manner such that the time that did pass felt like almost no time at all. If you need to use Wagner for heating repair I STRONGLY advise that you ask specifically for Jose Sanchez, you will NOT be disappointed. EDIT..... SO it is now about a month after my initial call to Wagner and I had reason to call again. (as a new homeowner, even simple things can cause me to need help). The response was fast, (1 day) and the technician was again a very competent individual who got right to the root of the problem, involved me as the customer at every step. Very impressed with this company and their service. The technician was not Jose Sanchez who I still HIGHLY recommend, this time the man's name was Alan Garcia. VERY nice man, and also one I think deserves a recommendation...

The Wagner Team was awesome and painless. I had three other companies come out to give me a quote and Wagner was within my budget. Starting with Dave Z. He was easy to talk to and answered all of my questions. He pointed out some things the other companies didn’t see or mention. He provided me with 3 different part options that would work with what I was wanting replaced at my home. The crews that came out, Levi I. Faron F. Carl W. Blake S. and a couple other guys I can’t remember their names (plumber, electricians, HVAC), were prompt and showed up first thing in the morning. Each crew made sure to find me and introduce themselves to me and advised me about the work they’re about to start. Once each crew was done with their part of the job they showed and walked me through what was changed and everyone was able to answer any questions I had with how to maintain or what services Wagner can provide with future maintenance. A great experience and would recommend Wagner.

I recently moved into my new home. Everything was working well until the furnace began malfunctioning by short cycling. I did what I could do to diagnose and fix the problem. I realized the job was bigger than I could handle. I called Wagner in Albuquerque because numerous people on Nextdoor had raved about their services and reasonable pricing. Alan showed up on time, listened to the issues with my furnace and what I had already done. He fixed the first issue quickly and then proceeded to diagnose the second issue. He came up with a fix and offered me the least expensive fix. I went with his suggestion and 45 minutes later, my furnace was cleaned and functioning as it should. Alan was knowledgeable, professional and a very nice person. I will be using Wagner for any future problems and as my yearly maintenance provider. I will be asking if Alan Garcia is available as a service tech when I call because he was great and a pleasure to have in my home!

We cannot recommend Wagner enough. Our water heater was leaking gas and it turned into a bizarre multi-week repair fiasco. The company that originally installed the water heater did not want to handle the job but Wagner picked it up and did everything under warranty for us, without at all being obligated to do so. The gas leak was SO persistent that we had NM Gas out six times to address it. Wagner came out even more than that and did everything under the sun to stop the leak and keep our family safe. They truly bent over backwards to help us, including many long hours of work over numerous days. Thank you especially to our technician, David DuPriest, for handling this so professionally and patiently, as well as to Chantry for stepping in when needed with additional expertise. The staff was friendly, kept me informed,and showed me photos as I was unable to get outside. Wagner uses quality products and was able to replace my system in a timely manner. They provided me with portable ac to help with my comfort level and will look into getting a generator while my power is shut down as I am on oxygen. It truly is a full service company! Prices are comparable with other vendors. They are not the cheapest nor the most expensive vendor. I shopped around and talked to others who had used their services over the years. All reported a positive experience. Wagner stands behind their work. If u need a comfort care specialist, please ask for Chris Sierra. Pablo Estrada, an electrician, fixed a problem with one of my electric sockets in a timely fashion. He explained why it failed and promptly replaced the part. It works like a charm.

Luis and his team were so professional and went above and beyond to ensure that the work they completed (adding outlets to my home) was done neatly and precisely. While they warned me several times that the plaster walls could be damaged and that they would be unable to repair that for me, they were able to do the job without damaging the wall at all and left it in perfect and ready to go condition. I also appreciated the fact that they took extra care to clean up after themselves and ensure that they left my home better than they found it. In my experience that's rare to get from a contractor. Wagner also installed my new hot water heater last year and did a professional job and there have been no issues with it since. The quotes are always reasonable and the work done quickly and professionally. Also my dog liked them and that's NEVER the case!

Wagner Mechanical is fantastic! They are very quick, on time, and do exceptional work of the highest quality. They replaced our HVAC system and water heaters today, and we are very happy with the speed and quality with which they did everything. After another company could not get the job done, Wagner promptly fixed everything! They even did a walk-through before the job to make sure everything went smoothly, and when they noticed that our plywood under the water heaters was warped and needed replaced, they even got plywood and constructed a new base at no extra charge. They were able to get the job much more quickly than the other companies who quoted the job. Dave, Story (Blake Story), Anthony, Jesus, Julian, and the whole team were all wonderful! They truly are the best in Albuquerque!!!

We had a rusting and leaking water cooler the week before Christmas and were able to get it fixed pretty seamlessly. Wagner has great customer service and communication and incredible staff. Barney did the estimate and installation and he’s very knowledgeable and obviously takes great pride in his work. And the finished product was awesome! Really happy with the job they did. You can tell that Wagner is not a ruthless company or only cares about making money. They really care about the customer having a good experience and feeling like you are getting a good product. And for that I’m grateful. The best I can say is that these events can be stressful and Barney and Wagner made the experience as stress-less as possible. I will definitely look to use this company again when needed.

Best plumbing experience ever. Wagner is a super organized and professional company. Their communication and availability is outstanding. My water heater gave out at 3:00 a.m. and I was chatting on their website by around 6:00 a.m. Someone stayed in touch until they called to say a plumber would be out around 10:00 a.m.Nate explained everything he did to bring the plumbing up to code and explained all of the features of the water heater in detail making sure I understood what he was doing and why, and understood how to operate the new cooler. He took lots of before and after photos and would show me what he was doing using the photos as a reference. Working with Wagner has been a very positive experience all around. I would highly recommend them.

The entire experience from sales person to installers was excellent. The installation of my new HVAC system went extremely well. Only needed just over one day for it all. The quality of the work is very high. Wagner has all of the necessary technical skills including electrical. The office people are also very capable. The customer information system is very good. Wagner sends out both email and text messages to keep you informed on the work. I am very satisfied with my new Carrier system. The knowledge of my salesperson Roger gave me great confidence in my choice. The lead installer technician Jordan was outstanding. All of the staff at Wagner have you the customer number one in mind. And, they are all very pleasant to work with.

My hot water heater went out on Thanksgiving night. I contacted a different company that I had used before first but many hours later I didn't receive a response from them. So I contacted Wagner. I had a response within 5 minutes and an estimate and appointment in less than an hour after my initial contact with them. Barney came out and replaced my very old water heater and the whole system in less than 4 hours. His customer service was outstanding as well as was the work performed! I could not be any happier with the work they did! I will no longer be using the previous company I had been using for 20 years. I am now a Wagner customer for life. They were terrific!

Pablo and his assistant came very quickly and solved our problem. We were changing the filter in our water softener in the garage, and some water must have gotten into the outlet in the garage. None of our outlets in the garage worked. We have a refrigerator and freezer in there so we needed to get the power back on in the garage right away. We called Wagner and they sent Pablo, who arrived within a half hour. They found the problem quickly, and now our electricity works in the garage again. They did a great job, and were very professional and courteous. I highly recommend Wagner Mechanical. We will call them again when the need arises.

We used Wagner Mechanical in the past with good service . We decided to use Wagner mechanical again. We were told we needed a flame sensor. It was replace. But the furnace then would not stay on. We paid the bill of over 500.00 dollars and were left with a non working furnace. Since 11/22/23. No thought to why or what could now be done. The technician did call his supervisor. And still no regards to the customer . We have no heat and now need to start with another company after the holiday. Wagner Mechanical service people didn’t care if we had heat or not. Or why this occurred. Very frustrated , would not recommend Wagner Mechanical .

The experience working with Wagner was outstanding. Starting with the suggestion that we replace our 14 year old roof mounted heating/ AC unit due to age and potential future maintenance issues Wagner worked with me to pick the best solution for our particular situation. The installation of a new unit on the roof including the the crane work was smooth and issue free. Team members communicated well, addressing any concerns I had and listening to my comments and suggestions. The Wagner team was efficient, professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend Wagner for future work.

Installed minisplit system in an old double walled adobe. Wagner has also done follow up work. Super responsive, professional. I got multiple bids, they weren't the cheapest but I wanted an experienced team that wouldn't wreck our adobe. They ALWAYS answer the phone, they show up when they say they will every time - things haven't gone perfectly smooth but I blame our house construction and I feel 100% that we are in great hands. Sales, installation, electrical teams - all very good. Cecilia managed our inspections - she's a rock star. Our system is 100% now and we love it.

I truly appreciated that Wagner Mechanical was extremely efficient in sending their technicians within 24 hours of my initial contact. Pablo and his colleague, were two of the most professional and courteous individuals and made the process so easy. I was impressed with the speed in which my estimate was provided and how reasonable the cost to complete my request. Despite some Department of Transportation roadblocks (literally) the boiler technician, Isaiah, made it to the house and repaired our 21year old boiler. He was professional, personable, and knowledgeable with regard to what needed to be done and made sure the boiler and associated components would make it through one more heating season. I would recommend him to anyone. Wagner scheduling was easy to work with although they were presented with a couple of unexpected obstacles. They kept me informed about the status of the repair and when the technician would get there.

Fantastic experience with Wagner!!! We called them with a plumbing emergency on a Saturday morning (the day before New Year’s Eve, mind you), and they were at my house an hour later! Our technician Johnnie was great & very professional, and worked tirelessly to remove our clog while also keeping prices as low as possible for us. He fixed the problem super quickly, and it was incredibly reasonably priced for emergency plumbing services. Highly recommend them and will absolutely be going back for all of our future plumbing needs.

My water heater pilot wouldn't light so I called Wagner and was able to get someone over in less than an hour after calling. Barney and his coworker were both friendly and professional. Barney advised on what needed to be replaced to make the unit work. My water heater is older, so he suggested other part replacements as well, but there was no pressure on that. After obtaining the parts the work was complete in less than an hour. Everything is working like a charm now. I would use them again for fast reliable service.

I was changing a hose bib at 3:30 pm on a Friday. When I took it off the pipe was rusty and broken. I was unable to connect a new hose bib and I had to have the water for the whole house shut off. Wagner was able to get some out out quickly when they realized I was not going to be able to turn my water back until the issue was fixed. Johnny quickly fixed the problem during normal business hours. He was professional and personable. Our experience was great and I highly recommend their services.

I was looking for someone to do several plumbing jobs around our home, and after calling and contacting a few other companies, I contacted Wagner (based on other Google reviews). None of my tasks were emergent, but Wagner sent Barney over the same day to do maintenance on our water heater, and the next business day to do the rest of the tasks. Barney was efficient, helpful, conscious of time, and showed us how to maintain some of the things he fixed. Grateful for good, kind, helpful service!

I am pleased overall so far. I am contracted to have some plumbing work done, and found the plumber to be responsive to my concerns about the job and professional. I expect to have the job done soon. I am also signed up for their membership and may have further work done too with an HVAC estimate. I like the business so far and feel they merit my employing them for my projects. I have quite a bit of experience with contractors in ABQ, and feel that this one is better.

We had a leak from an upstairs bathroom to a downstairs ceiling light and Wagner worked to get someone over ASAP. Barney and his apprentice Reece were terrific — did great work and guaranteed it, cleaned up during and after, explained what was happening, and were professional and personable. Barney has years of experience and quickly understands what’s needed. We also appreciate that he listens to clients. We will definitely request him in the future.

Jack Cupp came to my home and immediately determined the location of the leak. After reviewing the repair options, I chose the one he recommended, which also resulted in minimal structure damage to my home. Mr. Cupp repaired the leak and replaced the water heater all in one day! He was efficient and explained each stage of the repair. I am very satisfied with his work. Because of his efforts, I have hot water and no more hidden leaks!

Really impressed with this company. We had a toilet malfunctioning and a frozen water valve, Mike and Gabe came and were on time, professional, and fast. Originally I just needed the valve replaced but after talking to them it was decided to have them do the repair to the toilet (needed new float mechanism) also. Both items were done very quickly with no issues. Thanks to them for their quick and complete work.

Wagner technician David DuPriest came out (same day I called) to evaluate a water hammer issue in our pipes when the irrigation sprinklers turned off. David was very thorough in his evaluation and explained everything he was evaluating and doing. He was very knowledgeable and isolated the cause quickly. He also quickly followed up with two estimates we requested. I highly recommend David and Wagner Mechanical.

Emergency plumbing repair needed on a Saturday. Pinhole leak inside wall next to water heater. I called Wagner told them the details and within an hour, Anthony was here to fix the leak. I thought my day was over having to wait for a plumber…but no sir! Wagner was prompt, professional and reasonably priced, especially on a weekend. I will have all my plumbing issues/upgrades done by Wagner. They are the best!

Customer service over the phone was phenomenal and the electricians were very knowledgeable. However, they charged me $116 for a $10 breaker I could’ve bought at Home Depot (and that didn’t even include the service fee). I understand convenience has a price but a 1,000% up charge is a bit of a rip off (and that’s putting it kindly). If you ask me, $50 is still a 400% profit and a much more reasonable price.

Johnnie came. He was amazing. He was knowledgeable, he fixed the clog in like 20 minutes. He came because I initially called Mr. Rooter~ the Plumber from there broke a pipe and wasn’t able to declog the drain after being here 2 hours. I will ALWAYS call Wagner. Wagner is affordable, reliable, and intelligent. You don’t have to worry about unnecessary drama. They will fix it and not make a fuss.

Mr. Calderon was terrific! He analyzed the unit and listened to what I had done already, inspected and found a pretty good mess of hair, dust and dander. Completely cleaned the unit, including the fan motor, and is working beautifully! Will shorten time between filter cleaning to every week-10days instead of every two to three weeks per his advice. Very clean and efficient!

Wagner installed a new HVAC system and water tank about two years ago. For the past two months our thermostat goes offline and we have no heat for several hours every day. After finally getting someone to come take a look at it, we thought it was fixed but in continues to happen. It has been almost impossible to get anyone answer our calls, much less do anything about it.

Scheduled an electrical appointment with Wagner electrical for an outdoor patio fan installation. The two guys were well prepared and professional. Added all the conduit from an outside electrical box and made everything look perfect. Made sure to show how everything works and took away the extra debris. Couldn't be happier with their work. Will use them again for sure.

I scheduled an appointment for a soft water installation estimate. David provided the estimate and when I told him i wanted to go ahead, he said he could start immediately. It was done in a few hours. Very professional. This is the second time I have used Wagner for a major installation (mini split a/c). I will not use anyone else. I highly recommend them.

Timely response. Unfortunately, the two that came out were not able to find my leak. Also, I had done replaced my water heater and the gentleman that I came over criticized me doing the work myself and said I should have paid them the $3500 to install a new water heater. Not pleased with how I was treated and will it use them again.

I've used Wagner now three times, and they've been great (a/c and heater upgrade and to replace each toilet flange - two toilets). I'd recommend them, and I plan to call them again when needed. James was so kind and friendly; he went above and beyond.

Wagner plumbing was very efficient in their diagnosis of the problem with my shower panel. The maker of the unit is no longer in business, and parts are not available. The charge was nominal for their time and effort. I will definitely use them again.
