"Very unhappy with my children’s experience at this store! Incident happened 17/06/2023! My 21 years old daughter and my son who will be 17 in October, went shopping at this store and wanted to buy me a bottle of wine for Father’s Day! They have got the shopping and a bottle of wine for me and at a self checkout a lady approached them and asked them for an ID! Fair enough as my daughter looks younger! She show them the ID but that wasn’t good enough as they wanted an ID for my son who is still not ready to have one! My daughter explained to them and told them that she is buying the wine for Father’s Day, they called the store manager who was giving a lecture to my newly graduate daughter, they make them feel very embarrassed and refused to sell a 21 year old a bottle of wine for Father’s Day!!! To be honest always in this store I had a “look” from the staff, I have never felt welcomed, they may think they are a “posh” store, but you guys are miles away from being e friendly family store!!!"
"Bad hygiene in the store generally"
"Again " sorry but not coffee""

Bad hygiene in the store generally. This store used to be so good but I visited yesterday (Dec 30th) the vegetable section empty save a few old vegetables lying on the shelves. Same with fruit. I bought a box of seedless easy peelers clementines which when I unpacked them I discovered some were old and wrinkly and others just not fresh . I tasted one and it was awful, hardly any flavour , just watery….horrible… Most areas I visited were in chaos , especially the chilled goods, young staff standing around laughing and joking on their phones….. Management needs to get their staff sorted.
Again " sorry but not coffee". I have received so many letters from Waitrose customer service main office to remind me that " coffee is back", and it is part of customer loyalty scheme. There is only ONE coffee machine ( despite of the fact that there are two or three coffee machines even in much smaller Waitrose branches), and it is tooooooo often ( always) is out of order. It should be one more and new coffee machines there. And it is not a "free option", ( "free offer", " not a priority", " for free" as some Waitrose partners declare) it is a part of customer LOYALTY scheme.

Not happy with the labelling here!! When I questioned a member of staff, he said oh there were some special offers here last week, but this is full price. Really! So why don't they remove the label. The same could be found inside the store until I pointed it out to another member of staff. Not good enough and time wasting fir customers
Always a pleasure to shop here, I really don’t see it as a chore, the store itself is impeccable, the customer service is faultless, it’s a real joy to see young adults that are only too willing to help, the management team are doing a grand job leading their team, super happy, thank you…
Waitrose produce are high-quality and need nothing else to sell itself. The partners are always helpful, friendly and courteous. Every visit to this delightful store always leaves me satisfied. I missed the smell and taste of fresh brewed coffee in the store. Bring back the coffee!
It's a long time since I was in a Waitrose, I found the layout a bit confusing. I bought some cheese of the counter the gentleman was very pleasant. I had to take a toilet break, ( I spent ages looking for a loo , it's outside). If there was a toilet inside it would be 5 *
I wish there was a Lidl, Aldi or M&S instead of this store. The hygiene is so bad, it's always dirty and the freezers are full of mould for months now. It even smells really bad. The prices are ridiculously high compared to any other grocery store in the UK.
Unbelievable!! Decided to stretch and stopped at Barnet Welcome break. Bought something to drink and snack from Waitrose. Kids wanted doughnuts from Krispy Cream which was near Waitrose, paid for it next door. Then husband decided to buy a
Nicely laid out Waitrose with all the normal great range of produce and helpful staff. Convenient parking and close to all the other shops on the High Street. More self checkouts would be helpful but staff always on hand to help
Spacious,Clean, staff always polite courteous It is always an enjoyable experience to be strolling along the aisles and goping at the multiple products. What stand out though is the excellent PR of the staff.
Very pleasant, midsize branch of Waitrose. Bright, airy and well-spaced, wide aisles make shopping here relatively easy and stress-free most of the time. Best to avoid busy times as the checkout queues
DO NOT USE THEIR BAKERY, flies are rampant and constantly getting in, staff said it's been an issue for a while now and it still hasn't been sorted. Other than that, just your typical Waitrose.
Long story short, I've found myself without a phone. The staff were super kind and let me use their phone. Helped me a lot. Thank you so much (especially to the young lady with the glasses)
I wish a Merry Christmas to Nicola who took the time to prep the Monkfish that my 11 year old is cooking for dinner. Thank you, above and beyond, he is so touched. Evan x.
great place to shop with a wide selection of goods. the Waitrose soup brand is decent.
The staff and quality of the stock is excellent. It's a pleasure to shop there.
Love shopping there. Very happy with quality products and friendly staff.
A good local place, lovely staff
