My husband and I are in the city to pick up our new rescue dog: we went to Boston pizza, then Scotia Bank Theaters for a movie, are members of Embarc hotels and thought it would be a good idea to stop in at their sponsored beer and wine establishment. We had a perfect night until our experience with this store. Each establishment all night was accommodating to my request not to wear a mask due to a medical condition. When we arrived at FINE SPIRITS they said they would not serve me unless I wore a mask. I have an anxiety condition, a certified service dog, and when i showed them my credentials they still required me to have a mask to enter the store. After i made my purchase (masked AS REQUESTED) the security on staff followed us outside half a block down the street and said that we are refused future entrance into their establishment if a similar disturbance is caused again. I have NEVER once since the beginning of covid been rejected service for a medical condition. Normally I stick to my own home and routine, this is our first travel experience away from home and am completely shocked, and feel personally wronged by how this staff treated us. They also did not offer us the hotel discount so all in all don't go! Over priced, bad atmosphere, and not complying with the legal systems in place to support citizens with heath issues that need to be taken into serious consideration.
Although the sign explains that price tags don't include the bottle/recycling fee, I just find the whole concept deliberately misleading. I'm sure the owner will reply with a seemingly justifiable reason for why they don't post the actual price, but c'mon - we all know the real reason behind it
The staff here are amazing!! Besides great recommendations I lost my phone and came by last night and asked if they could lend me their phone. One of the staff members was so sweet she let me use her personal phone! Really above and beyond for a stranger. thank you sooo sooo much!!!
Just across the street from Worldmark on Hornby St. Small volume of wines, but a good selection from around the world & local wines. Bought a Rose & Tempernillo from local wineries & prices were very reasonable (25-30 Canadian). They appear to have most anything you would need!
Grossly overpriced liquor store with a bad selection. Most selections have price gouging that's 90% higher than BC liquor store prices on beers. Wines about 65% higher. Need I say more?
Three Stars Demoted to Two: Selection of wine and spirits was okay, but staff was a bit rude.. I took off one star because I realized later that they charged my card twice
Nice enough store and staff, but they don't really know their stock that well. A recommended dry Chardonnay turned out to be mineral tasting, a little tart: not good.
Best place to buy liquor in the downtown area. Very friendly staff and a great indoor environment! Also, it’s right next to Tokyo Joes, would recommend
Friendly staff, small selection but items you rarely find somewhere else. I only come for 1 typ of beer but often find something else on the way out.
I found this wine & beer shop on the way to the one in google maps...didn’t even know it was there...happy I was looking around and found it:-)
The staff here is amazing. Very knowledgable. Great place to pick up drinks when nearby. They have free parking also. Rare in downtown.
Great place... Nice people Also great selection... This place has the cheaper price on all private store in downtown .
Nice people and the prices are pretty reasonable (as compared to BC Gov't Stores). Two thumbs up all around!!
Great knowledgeable staff. Great hours. Wish it was bigger and have more space for more selection.
Good selection of wines. Higher price than the BC liquor stores but you pay for the convenience
Good selection of wine. Good service and fair price. I would come back for sure when im around
Customer Service is not good and there no too many selections. Never go this store again.
Great service with a smile. Small but great selection of moderately priced wine.
Lovely spot to shop, though prices are $1-2 more than BC Liquor Stores.
Super convenient especially if you are staying at the Sheraton hotel.
For a small store, this has a great range of beer, wine and spirits.
The staff at this location are great .The manager is wonderful !
Not much options but staff too humble and sweet …
