DON'T bother asking for any assistance at Hope ave Walmart!!!! After searching for an employee anywhere near the fabric section of Hope Ave Walmart. Finally found one near the electronics and we politely asked this employee if they could page someone over to fabric to give us a hand with some bolts of fabric. This employee yelled at us and told us he didn't have that kind of system to be able to page help even though a little later he was promoting mobile phones over the P.A. And was too busy to help. I understand being under staffed and overwhelmed but come on its NEVER ok to just start yelling at the customer. Then he tried to sell us a phone. The 2nd employee we found was wearing the freaking Walmart vest and a name tag told us she didn't work at Walmart and so didn't know what to do. Seriously?!?! Finally the 3rd goes yep I will page someone- I work all areas here and did one page over the system. After about 10 min waiting we finally grabbed folding chairs from a near by isle realizing no one was coming.....after another 15 min another employee walked by and noticed us sitting at the fabric section and asked if we needed help and started trying to find someone with the ability to help. The one upside was when a team lead Terry finally found us and came to help after 30 min of waiting. He was very nice and extremely helpful and we greatly appreciated him but even he said no one had even let him know that there were customers in need of help. He was very kind, courteous, and apologetic about the situation and even walked us up and checked us out personally. He is truly the best Employee there!! The majority of this experience was such a frustrating and time/ just to get a few yards of fabric!

Ok I am not a fan of Walmart and try to not go here unless I have to. Well today in the middle of winter down town Salt Lake City I passed a woman who was standing in a parking lot in slippers. This was 1 day after a major snow storm. I felt prompted to buy her some snow boots. Walmart was the closest place. After asking her shoe size I went to Wally world. Surprisingly this Walmart was very well kept. Super clean. I walked back to the shoe department and yes I was lost. As I was looking an associate asked me if she could help. "STOP!!" Yes I was asked if I needed help. To top it off she had a smile. I am not trying to be hard on Walmart but as many times as I have been in one the was the first time EVER that I was treated with that amazing customer service. I told her what I needed and the size. She got a grin on her face and said, quick follow me. She took me to the only pair of boots in that size. She told me that was the only pair they got I. Thar size and she just put them out like 5 minutes ago. Wow I think our father in heaven was telling me this was meant to be. I thanked her for being so kind and told her Merry Christmas. The check out was fast and simple. Very clean machines. I delivered to boots and added some hot hands and treats. Let's just say she was more than happy. I want to thank Walmart for adding the joy and peace that was needed for that interaction. I live 10 miles from this Walmart and I will always be proud to go there and do business. Thanks Walmart.

Went to Walmart to get reading glasses. Found some I wanted that had some sticky substance on them. Tried to ask a manager to discount them. No manager in the store at 7:15 pm on June 11th. I asked 6 employees and not one of them could contact a manager. Even the security guard couldn't reach a manager. Everyone told me to go to customer service, except it was closed and the lights were turned off. Employees standing in front of the closed customer service still told me to go there. Who was managing the store? Don't they have walkie talkies or an intercom? Not one employee knew how to reach a manager. More bad results at this Walmart. So I went to Walmart to pickup a photo I had printed. The photo center people forgot to trim all the edges of the photo. I went to get a frame for it and it didn't fit. Lucky I went to get the frame or I'd have walked all the way home and then would have had to return. I went back and got them to fix it. They claimed they left the extra space because some people like to write a note on the side. But then it won't fit in a picture frame. I ordered a 5×7 photo for a reason.

I go to Walmart occasionally to see if they have new products or produce. They carry a large variety of foods, clothing, pharmacy, fishing/hunting items, seasonal gardening items and seeds, electronics, shoes, bakery, crafts area with fabric, knitting yarn, and items to make something good. They carry so many soaps, deodorants, and eye masks for those of us who sleep during daylight at times. I could go on forever about all of the items Walmart has. But, there are other things you need to know. The Walmart on Hope Ave. Salt Lake City is on 300 West & California Ave. (13th S.). They used to have some problems with a lot of transients, dirty floors, & dirty shopping carts. All of these problems have been addressed. There is a banking area for cashing checks, etc. Another area for returns/problems with their items they bought. Walmart calls this place a Supercenter. With all they have in this store, what else could you want? Oh, they have an area for eating fast food too!!! Happy Shopping

The store is almost completely unshopable. There were no shopping carts. NONE! I had to find an abandoned one already in the store! Have you ever been to a TJ Maxx the day after Christmas? Yeah… it’s that bad. Boxes litter the aisles. Shelves are a mess. Inventory is sparse in random places, but spilling out into the aisles in others. I had a hard time finding things and asked for help several times. Employees are friendly at least, but wow… keep your expectations low. Staff seems catatonic and adrift. Seems as though there is no captain on the ship. THIS MESS IS A MANAGEMENT PROBLEM. It the only Walmart I’ve ever been to where my receipt was checked when I left… like a Costco. “Sketchy” is the first word that comes to mind, but the one thing I appreciated most about this store… I could park my tall van in the covered parking lot and not come back to a toaster oven.

This particular Walmart sucks I am always being followed around the store I don't know if I'm being stalked by a weirdo or a employee kinda the same in one I think. I never find what I'm looking for. This employee came up to me and grabbed an item out of my cart and said are you sure you can afford this and walked away with it. What the hell. why would an employee say such a thing when I went to customer service to say something the lady closed down, and wouldn't you know it there is the lady that oh took my item out of my Cart, laughing and joking like nothing happened. My item she took out was in her hand. I am so appalled. Who can I talk to about that? I think I should get compensated for all that trouble and embarrassment she caused me and the other associate who was with her and refused to help me, didn't even look at me, like I wasn't there.

It's the closest one for Downtown SLC. It always runs out of everything. It's a hit or miss if you're gonna get shopping cart if you shop in person. It's ghetto because there's homeless alot of times hanging out front. The police visit frequently. I prefer online shopping and it's great 80% of the time but again they run out of stuff. Shipping and pickup are great but delivery I would say it's a 50/50 chance if you get your stuff and it's actually correct or delivered to the right place or they actually follow your directions. It's always busy. The construction is horrendous on 300 W so avoid in person shopping. Also they just barely added a divider so you can't turn on to 300 W unless it's from the light off to the side of Walmart which is understandable bc drivers are crazy and I feel like there were probably too many accidents or close calls.

Worst attempted shopping experience I have had this year. I went in for three items, but the store was in such disarray that I spent 40 minutes sorting through the available stock to find items in the size that I needed specifically, thermals. I had intended to buy a few other small items but had wasted all my time. I went to check out and the cashier told me to go somewhere else so I dropped all my items on the floor and left. I appreciate the fact that it is a busy season, but I do not have time to waste in an absolutely disgusting and discourteous location. Seven years ago I reviewed this for two stars, and it has only gotten worse. The included photo is after I had sorted the thermals to a degree. Couldn’t even figures out what the cost was for my items. Do not waste your time here.

While I don't have many complaints about the store itself, I do have an issue with the money services it offers. The store offers a good variety of goods, which is commendable. However, there is one section of the store that I find quite frustrating. This particular area is the only place where you can withdraw cash from your account if needed, and it always seems to be understaffed. I've only ever seen 2-3 employees working in that area, and what surprises me even more is that they are the only ones trained for that task, not even the managers. On numerous occasions, I have visited the store and found no one available to assist with the money services. This is an area where the store needs significant improvement, and they should make it a priority.

I’ve relied on this Walmart many times, so I feel like I can give it at least something. However, I bought a pull-up bar for $18.77 cents that wouldn’t work with my doorway. I went to customer service the next day and tried to return it. The item, for whatever reason, was not returnable. In fact, the money couldn’t even be transferred to a Walmart gift card. I guess the system had problems with it. I didn’t want a useless pull-up bar taking up space in my house, so I just told them to keep it. This was super frustrating and basically ruined my faith in this Walmart. Again, this has nothing to do with the individuals working in customer service. I’m sure they did their best. I am writing this as a complaint to corporate. Please fix your system!

If there's cops outside of the store that means Sharon is working. She's the one that likes to call the cops for no freaking reason on brown people. Also, Good luck give a step into this Walmart and hope not to get yelled at by her for no freaking reason also the employees get treated like trash by her. How is she the hiring trainer still? She 'll yell at the employees in front of the customers ask. any of the employees about her. Nobody likes her. I get the problem is when you're in the store and she calls the cops on you and the officers are the ones apologizing it's getting ridiculous. like the police department knows who she is already. Why are we wasting police funds with her there constantly calling the police

This Walmart is not a reliable place to pick up or shop for groceries. I used to use their grocery pick-up service because of its convenience, but recently it has taken much longer than just going in the store myself. I have had several negative service experiences with items not being selected or selected incorrectly. I needed 2 florets of broccoli for a recipe and was given 1 small floret that was broken in half. I ordered raspberries but they gave me raspberries that were covered in mold. The store is always very dirty with items misplaced or missing. I have also seen empty packaging on several occasions. I think it is an inner city location that needs more security and more staff. 1/5 stars :,(

This is the second time I received a very bad behavior from the stuff in this Walmart, First time I was looking at the men shoes and one of the stuff who I think he was the boss! came to me and said what are you doing we are trying to keep this store clean! While I was not doing anything!!!! And today I went to exchange an airmatress and the old lady in the customer service talked to us very bad not like someone who wants to help you, seemed like she wanted to kill us! And she told us you can only exchange this item one time, but in very bad tone of voice. Me and my wife just left the store I will never come back to this branch, They don't respect customers. Even one star is too much!

This location closes early, if you’re going to do that please update your hours on Google maps. I understand this a location in a rough part of town so that makes things difficult to manage I’m sure. However i needed oil for my car to get home late at night and made a decision to go to Walmart rather than the auto parts store, that both closed at the same time, because i was closer to Walmart, on to be forcibly told the store was closed even tho the window and online say it’s open til 11:00pm. Since i chose Walmart i then could not make it to the auto parts store in time. Very stressful and unnecessary if you would just accurately post the time you stop allowing people in your store.

Awful service came here to get a phone charger needed an employee to unlock the glass doors the charger I needed was in went to an employee and asked she kept claiming she didn’t work at Walmart when she was wearing a Walmart outfit I asked another employee they kept claiming they didn’t work in the area I asked her to call someone that worked in the area to help when she rolled her eyes had an attitude about it and walked away I then saw an elderly couple asking for assistance as well when one of the employees started arguing with them. Not good customer service I ended up just walking out and not getting the charger I needed and went somewhere else

I always wanted to make a visit to Walmart Supercenter anywhere as we don't have it in India. I got this opportunity here at SLC Utah and found the Walmart Supercenter,a nice place where you find almost anything that is on your wishlist. I could visit a few sections of the center in the limited time that I had, like the apparel, Kitchen items, daily need products , food items and beverages etc. I think many items that you could take as a souvenir to your dear ones are available in plenty here. Overall an impressive center that must be in the list of those who have never been to Walmart ever.

If you are in need of the electric ride on shopping carts at The 350 Hope Avenue , Salt Lake City Walmart , even if you start out EARLY there the employee shoppers , get in the way and cut you off like you should not be there until they finish the shopping for internet online customers , somebody needs to tell them the store opens at 6:00 AM or start them to work 2 hours earlier , maybe I should phone 1-800 Walmart the main office headquarters in Bentonville , Arkansas , I bet Sam Walton would not be happy if he was still alive ,this would not be how he would want his stores to be run .

There is an infestation… one that you wouldn’t expect… teens!!! Left or right. My children hate going there because it is humiliating being near their peers doing chaotic activities. I wish the store did more things to enforce good behavior. This store is always not accurate to the app, and there is frequent miss placed items. Their new layout also sucks. You can’t get passed the front because all of the necessities are now there. I wish it was more spread out. I respect the workers their i feel bad for them it is kind of sad job in that sort of environment. Maybe next time Walmart.

Had a friend there that got wrongfully fired for no reason. Yeah, she made a mistake but she owned up to it. HOLD THE OTHER ASSOCIATES ACCOUNTABLE as you guys did with my friend. I bet any other customer that interacted with her while she worked in the electronics department can vouch as well that she was a really good worker and always tried her best to keep the customers happy. She should of at least gotten a warning for what she did. I know a lot of people who work for Walmart and they have never gotten fired for something so small.

Ordered same day prints in the morning and their printer broke (I understand, no worries). Got an email saying that my prints were ready around 10pm, went in and waited for someone to help at the photos, someone ended up sending us to the main electronic area, waited in line there, then they told us to go back to the photo area. They helped us once we were back to the photo line, and they couldn't find my order. Then said it wasn't ready and to come back tomorrow. Very frustrating.

My gripe is with money services. As a whole I can't complain much about the store itself. There is a good selection of goods there. But, the one section of the store is ridiculous. It's the only place to get cash off your account if needed and I've ever only seen 2-3 people working it. Apparently they are the only ones trained for the spot NOT EVEN THE MANAGERS!! There are many times I've gone there and there is no one to run it. They need to do better that that period!

Stopped in for some fishing supplies and Walmart has pretty good selection not the best but a pretty darn good one. Hunting area was fully stocked sporting goods you could just about to do all of your shopping in this place. From banking to vision center to bakery, two home goods, they have everything. The restrooms were clean and up-to-date. Their parking lot was covered or you could also choose the upper floor, which is not covered in case you had a higher vehicle.

THEY SHOULDNT GET 1 STAR.... This is The WORST walmart I have EVER been to. I informed the meat department their freezer isn't working the meat is warm, and he laughed in my face and called me coo coo. Then as I'm checking out half way the associate turns off my self check out and makes me go back and wait in another line for 40min. To Check out. Then they tried to say I stole items when I provided a receipt for my ENTIRE PURCHASE. DO NOT shop here.

The nightmare from hell,during my last visit. Went thru no less than 6 employees trying to figure how to make my credit card go thru without pin number,so I could just pay for the things at the register. I had to explain it was not debit card,it was a credit card. I didn't need a pin for my card. My bank told me I only use pin when getting cash because anytime I use a pin number MasterCard and or Visa would not back up my purchase if need be later

Will never shop here or any walmart again. What probable cause do you have to ask for a receipt, I have the right to deny the check. Then have the extremely over weight checker yell out are you stealing. NO!!! You have security to stop theft. Not like her overweight could stop a theif anyways. Self checkout increases theft by 400%. Solution get rid of self checkout. Stop with the receipt checks. And don't employ overweight receipt checkers

The prices are what you would expect from a Walmart: low and reasonable. I found everything I needed here and I found it all at a low, low price. The best part was the customer service. The staff are warm and friendly and always ready to help. My only complaint would be that sometimes I don't need a big cart for my shopping so I would love to see more small baskets. This would make shopping so much faster and easier.

If you want to do pickup online groceries here don’t bother. I’ve never had this much of a problem at any other Walmart or smiths for that matter. If you do online pickup you’ll wait at least 30 minutes every time and they will give groceries to people that at before you that were not there first it doesn’t save you any time. I’ll give the benefit of the doubt to the employees and assume it’s an under staffing issue

Just a regular walmart like every-where else. Good thing is that it has lot of parking space, parking lot from 1st floor has amazing views of mountains. And the items are always kind of out of stock. There are homeless people outside of this walmart and nothing to say. This is a regular and normal walmart where you can find anywhere in the states. Not a lot of staff where you can find help. You are on your way.

It was not a good experience. It was actually sad to think that the persons working there are so unhappy that they resonate this onto the customer. I know that its a large company, and disappointed that when I travel there are still stores out there that have such poor service. I wish those two night managers the most blessed day however I will still need to file the formal complaint with corporate.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. None of the employees know where things are or how their pick up system works. Waited to speak with someone in customer service for 20 minutes just to be told they didn’t have an answer to my question. Total waste of time. Employees are super unprofessional- on their phones and clearly do not value their customers. Will not be returning to this location.

Went in to do some shopping with a friend. We had time to browse and see what cool products we could find. Many times we noticed that they were following us. This is an issue I have when I shop at Walmart. Their lost prevention should step back a little and make it less noticable. I spend good money each time I visit and it is so rude and it does not make me want to spend my money here.

The only downside is going to this location is the location. It's not the safest and cleanest location but it is what it is. We were in that area at that time so we stopped to pick up a few items, on the way to our car we were asked for monetary donations. Coming from Los Angeles and being in an area like this I notice I had my guard up, it's a self-preservation thing.

I had a very negative experience today with Angie in electronics. Not only was she rude to me she was rude to another customer waiting for help behind me. I came to purchase Beats Solo 3 not realizing the prices were different in store vs online. I told her this after she rang me up thinking the prices would be the same. My interaction with her after was shocking.

Bought this snack tray expecting to eat it in the car, and didn't check the date first because it looked okay! Opened it up and was hit by the NASTIEST smell, and when I checked the use-by, it was over a WEEK out of date. However, the employees were super nice about giving me a refund, and helped me despite the fact that the customer service counter was closed.

Wanted to buy a prepaid sim. The long haired guy at the electronics that seemed not inclined to answer my questions told me to buy a sim that in fact was not compatible with my phone. After returning to be refunded and asking him (while he was on his phone) what I should buy, I did not get any advice and finally did not buy any SIM...

Weirdest Walmart I've ever been to. Parking underground, with barely any handicap parking. The inside is much the same as other Walmarts. They keep 4 Police cars parked near the front. I didn't have much difficulty finding what I was looking for. I still think self checkout is losing too much of the customer service element.

When I visit this particular Walmart 11 employees walked in the bathroom. I know they were employees because they were wearing Walmart vest. Out of those 11 employees four of them wash their hands. That's a little over one out of every three just think the handle our groceries. I'll never buy groceries from this Walmart.

Most every time that I've been to this particular location the service is horrendous! To any corporate representative, please take corrective action against this location. Asap! First time been here. Walmart always have lots of selection with competitive price compare to other grocery stores. The ladies upfront was nice and greeting every customer coming in and out. The goods on the shelves are arrange nicely, they also keep the cleanliness inside also the restroom. reccomended place to shop

Dirty. Lots of scabs and shady people. Plus a huge irritating problem is this store (hope st. Location) hires people who barely speak english. And none of them know anything. Im all for helping immigrants but learn the freaking language! Or at least don't just ignore you. Overall the worst store ever.

They falsely advertise things online that they either don't have. Or have 20 bucks higher than they posted it for as they know your gonna buy anyway for making the trip. Dont trust the online prices. Always add 10 extra bucks if you plan on coming in person, and if thats the case just go to best buy

Every time I go to this location, most items are incorrectly marked. I have to take pictures of the price that is listed (which is never honored). They make the shopping experience very annoying and time consuming. It almost feels like a scam to get people to pay more that are not paying attention.

Terrible. I was in a rush and needed to get earplugs for a concert. The earplugs are locked up (of course). So I waited for about 5 minutes after someone called for an employee to come help. I literally saw one employee the whole time. No one came. So I left so I wouldn’t be late for the concert.

Pretty darn good Walmart/Mcdonalds (ha). Friendly people working here and two level parking (seems like it’s temporarily closed). On a slightly unrelated subject, on your way into or out of the store, enjoy some free pigeon entertainment, but don’t get pooped on or your name’s mud.

Don’t go to this store for grocery pick up. I’ve always had problem with them or they take too long. But I’m finally done with them after they gave my groceries to someone else and it became a whole thing. Save yourself the hassle, drive 10 minutes to any other Walmart.

Just a heads up…. Do not leave your car here at all. We meet here with some friends. Went inside then went to run an errand and left one car there. Came back 20 min after the store was closed and the car was towed! They will tow your car the second the store closes.

I stoped there about 7:30 am got me some groceries I needed and I was looking to get a present for my daughters birthday, I checked on the Jewelry Dpt but I asked some employees if someone would help me, but they said nobody were there to help me a that time …

The staff has no clue where anything is so if you must shop there use their website to find something. A lot of products are locked in a case and don't expect any of the staff to help you out in a timely manner. If you have to buy electronics, go to a Best Buy.

Missing a lot of products. Tobacco seems to not be stocked. But no one can tell me if they are discontinuing it out when a shipment will come in. I really wish they would have the mini pies more often. Regular people asking for money but no one being obnoxious.

Walmart was great. Had to get a list of things for a little mini party at my child's school. Got everything on the list except for the creamies. Had to substitute the creamies for fudge bar, strawberry shortcake, and orange cream. Overall good experience.

This is the Walmart your parents warned you about. Lots of missing staple items, which is annoying. Seems like things are thrown on shelves. Lots of beggars in the parking lot. For a potential flagship store in the area, not well cared for or maintained.

I waited half an hour for someone to come and serve me at the sporting goods I talked to multiple employees and they said they would go get someone after 10 minutes no one can so I called the store they said they would send someone and no one came.

Walmart has hit it's business fair battles in the field. Some locations are struggling but some are pulling up their pride and customers. This supercenter is one of them that is still carrying it's icon always friendly with Great Values.

I ordered some headphones that was supposed to be delivered at a certain time that didn't arrive at the set time and then they delivered to wrong door and now I'm out of $113 because they don't know difference between door 301 and 309

Eye drops are under lock and key. I just want some $8.52 eye drops, and there’s not an associate around to open the case. Why oh why did I not just order on Amazon or go to Target? Awesome way to drive away customers. Well done guys.

They don't open their doors at 6am as posted on the main entrances and website, etc. Day after day and multiple employees see up to around ten people waiting every morning past 6am. As late as 6:15am they keep the doors locked.

THEY CLOSE AT 10:50 SHARP, with police officers guarding.. The hours posted are incorrect and the manager refuses to change them or change them on Google maps even. (Probably because it goes against corporate's directions)

It's a Walmart. Lives up to the expectation. I will give them this, the store is usually pretty clean and organized and even though the general public is selfish and sucks, this location deals with us pretty well.

Definitely trust prepaid before the 2 guys saying phones out the door 8.00 dollars. now some Verizon dealer up in there lying to customers and stealing your phone number just to rope you in don't trust them !!!!

I mean it’s a Walmart. Was only frustrating to have a million boxes to walk over when they were stocking the shelves at night. But they had everything we needed and it even had a covered garage to park under.

There were no carts in store or in parking lot. Lady in front was not at all helpful she kept sending everyone to other front door. We were not alone with this problem. Corporate should look into this.....

My “same day” photos were delayed a day, went in once I got the email saying “ready for pick up”. They were not ready to pick up. I have been sitting here for 20 minutes waiting for my order to be done.

Bad customer service and they lock the doors without telling you so you end up having to walk the long way. No signs or anyone to redirect you. Trash parking as well for being in the middle of the city.

This has been the greatest shopping experience of my life. I really appreciate the diverse foods from around the world. The most surprising food was the floor patty!!! Will come back! …

This so happens to be my local Walmart and it's a super center as well.. It is essential for basically getting everything You need under one roof, even a restaurant, bank, vision center, and More..

Nice addition in garden section in Walmart. This is the downtown location so don’t expect it to be the best, it is always crowded and busy. However, they did a great job reorganizing it recently.

Walmart used to be a place where you can find the cheapest deals around, not anymore almost everything at this store is more expensive then you would find at a lot of other stores in the valley

the greeters they hire don't speak English and we had to take the elevator to the top level of parking just to put groceries in our car. If the cart escalator is broke put a out of order sign.

The store was very busy & was able to get in & out of there within 20 minutes. Store was clean. The reason I only have 3 stars is cause this store was sold out of 2 items I went there to get.

The pigeons in the parking garage really bring the place to life. But for real they have good prices and the store was very clean when I went inside. New buggies as well (smooth ride!)

Went there for travel case on my way home. Is a big walmart, lots of options, but no time to walk around, not much different than other Walmart I think , and I got what I looking for.

They seem to have hired people that speak English so that's nice I actually. would find what I needed without to much of a struggle. still have very dirty parking area however....

I usually think going to Walmart is equal to hell. The last 2 trips I had weren't bad. I was very pleasantly surprised considering it was 2 days before Christmas. I will go back.

I was super impressed when 0ne of the self check out lines wouldn't take my ripped dollar and one of the worker went out of her way to go get me a good dollar to use

Like any other Walmart, good variety to find nearly anything you'll ever need, floor and parking lot were slightly dirty. A nice feature is the covered parking lot.

It's a Walmart. The pharmacists came out of the back, walked me to the items I needed, and explained how to use them. That does not happen at Walgreens or Smiths.
