Disgusting . My room must not have been used for awhile judging by the dead insects and daddy long legs living in every corner and crevice, Bedspreads badly stained with food on them, a huge turnoff that made me feel sick.The old fashion square sheet toilet paper on the wall like what you would see in public toilets. No chains on the doors which made me feel unsafe. Don't be fooled by the lovely photos of the grounds offering three acres of nice gardens when there is rotten lemons a grapefruit on the ground everywhere, they could have been picked up as soon as they fell of the tree and put in a basket to offer to arriving customers as a nice gesture, Owner was wearing a shirt that was worn and full of holes, These people take advantage of the fact there is not much accommodation around and charge way too much for what they are offering, I don't mind the fact that the rooms are old and outdated but I cannot handle filth. Owners have got too comfortable and don't make the effort, Go the extra mile or pay the extra price and go somewhere else.

Fantastic stay. Had everything you needed for a short stay. You know you are in a good place when the owners describe themselves as being 'in the business of sleep'. The beds were amazing. We had some very hot summer days and the aircon was fabulous and so quiet. The motel has a great vibe to it and 1960's feel. The owners were so happy and willing to make your stay as comfortable and as memorable as possible, many times they went out of their way for us. You can tell they love being in the beautiful surrounds of Warburton and they know every nook and cranny of the area - even where to go to for the best sunset spot! The fire pit is a great addition and we enjoyed sitting around it and having it ready to use every night. The location is quiet and tucked away but close enough to everything, including the start of the Warburton to Lilydale bike track. We would gladly come again!

A beautiful location! The hotel is retro styled with simple but clean rooms. You are going to spend most of your time out and about - so you only need the basics at the motel. Richard and Simone are excellent hosts who were very attentive to our questions. They are running an effective Covid safe check-in at the moment too which is ace. We organised bike hire and river tubing which is all conveniently located on-site at the motel. It’s a short stroll to the local shops for any small items and looks to be some great vintage shops. Richard was able to give us biking tips for my son and I too which were spot on. I would definitely come back and stay again. It is perfect for families of all ages with lots to entertain them. Once Warburton opens up the new mountain biking trails it is going to be even better!

My wife and I had a lovely 3-night stay at the Warburton Motel and could have stayed longer. The highlights for us included eating at the pop-up Mamma Santoros restaurant at the Motel, relaxing on the grounds and chatting with other visitors, redwood Forrest, running the local trails, walking to town and spending time at the river. We had intended to drive to some of the other towns but enjoyed Warburton so much we never left, a gem of a place. The owners Richard and Simone are wonderful. You can tell they are truly invested in creating a fun special place and care about each guest. Would easily recommend to others!

We had our wedding in Warburton last week and we stayed at the Warburton Motel. We CANNOT recommend this place highly enough❗️It was cosy and comfortable. The owners, Simone and Richard, they put a lot of efforts to bring up this place but the same time they still kept its personality. They were EXTREMELY accommodating, responsive and friendly. They made our big but stressful day so much easier. Love their beautiful garden, both day and night. A perfect place to hang out with friends and families. Not just us, our guests had a wonder stay as well, especially after an exciting night. Please come & stay, cause you will love it too! It's a true hidden gem...

We were warmly greeted by the owners on the Motel late on a Saturday night as we were late getting in. They were super nice and friendly and really accommodating to our requests for a late checkout. We were super happy to find out they had put the heater on in our room prior to arrival so it was toasty warm when we got inside. The furniture in the room is retro chic which is pretty cool (if you were in Fitzroy you would be paying double for the experience). The bathroom was so clean it was sparkling and you can tell a lot of effort has been put into the cleanliness of the room overall. The balcony looks like an awesome place to hang out on a warm summers afternoon so we will definitely be back!

This place should be condemned! Absolutely disgusting and nothing like the photos which are probably taken 5 years ago. We were there 10 minutes and they wouldn't give us a refund as he said we checked in 4 hrs ago. Very unsafe . Opened the window and fly screen fell off, wall light was hanging by electrical tape. Air conditioner was only half a unit on the wall and so obviously didn't work. The front door had holes all over it and the lock had been torn off the wall. fridge wasnt clean, roof outside our room was broken and hanging down, cigarette butts everywhere. Old furniture in Carpark like the tip.

Perfect place to plant yourself and explore the Yarra Valley. Motel is beautifully renovated with a retro vibe. The entire communal space is surrounded by stunning trees and is simply enchanting. Richard who runs the motel is so helpful and a gracious host. His tips for exploring the area were spot on and made our stay even more enjoyable, not to mention the bike tours and river float on offer. I highly recommend the river float for a perfect way to relax and float through the nature. Can't wait to come back already!

We loved our stay at the Warburton Motel last weekend. I was impressed by the very user friendly information that was sent to us the day before our arrival, very clear and very helpful. The contactless check in system was seamless and we felt relaxed the moment we entered the room, greeted with a beautiful subtle scent of essential oils. The bed was extremely comfortable, the room was warm and cosy and the outlook to the ferns was gorgeous. The motel is situated in a great location and the many walks in the area are sublime. Owners are what make this place so special. Not only do they keep every room clean and tidy, but they’ve poured their hearts into restoring the rooms to a modern feel while not losing its 60s charm. They’ve also created a beautiful outdoor space where you can relax and have a drink with other guests. Close to everything, the location is the perfect spot for day trips or to relax and look at the beautiful scenery right outside your window. I’ve been here 4 times in 12 months, couldn’t recommend highly enough!!

We had an amazing time at Warburton Motel! The Owners are so friendly and talked us through all that Warburton has to offer! This was great as it was our first time exploring Warburton! They also recommended great Vegan options around Warburton which we appreciated so much! The garden area at the Motel was perfect to lounge around with a glass of Wine and enjoy the sounds of the birds and being immersed in nature! The Spa room was lovely, beds were comfortable and the room was spotless. We also stayed in the Queen room the next night which was also very clean and cosy!

Loved this place. . I've stayed in a handful of places in warbuton but some thing about this charming place has a special element of easy going relaxation. . Richard the manager I met. .cruisy kind approachable. . . We need more Richards in this world. . Fire at night. . Close to every earthy need your soul maybe search i ng for. Wonderful accomodation in a beautiful location. The motel has been lovingly restored and maintained, and the owners were incredibly accomodating when we had to delay our stay. Absolutely appalling customer service. I attempted to make a booking but needed a few questions answered first, and the hotel completely refused to engage. Not only does nobody answer the phone, when I finally got through to someone via text, they also refused to speak to me and kept on directing me to the website, despite not knowing what my questions were. They were extremely rude and dismissive and I am totally shocked they would turn down business in such a horrible way.

Stayed there with my adult family over long weekend in tree tops suite. Spacious and comfortable with everything you could need and want together with lovely views. Very restful and relaxing for the soul. Easy stroll to the wonderful township of Warburton. Owners Simone and Richard were very friendly, accommodating and helpful with suggestions. The 2 bedroom unit was great for us (next time we'll bring that kid monitor!) very comfortable. Looking for a getaway that's not far away? I would highly suggest the Warburton Motel. A perfect spot to explore the beautiful surrounds (thanks for the tip on the redwood trees, very cool).

Loved it! Perfect overnight pit stop doing the rail trail. Fresh, clean, and really comfortable, but maintained that kitsch 1960s vibe (the pink toilet was ). Every detail has been carefully considered, not to mention super friendly hosts. Wish we could have stayed longer, but we’ll be back. Definitely no where else we’d rather stay in Warburton and surrounds.

We had a fantastic stay here. The Hotel Manager was super friendly, easy going and couldn't be more helpful. He knew the local area really well and gave us lots of tips on things to do, particularly anything to do with cycling and walking. The hotel lounge room is like a travel back in time to the 70's, perfectly preserved and very relaxing. Hotel rooms were quiet, clean and functional. Lovely gardens too. Highly recommended.

This is the BEST motel of its type, i have ever stayed at anywhere in the world. Literally. The owners are super friendly and very knowledgeable about the local attractions, places to eat and things to see. The rooms are spacious, very clean and the beds are comfortable. The rooms are also very quiet. If there was a five star resort in the area i would still choose to stay at the Warburton Motel. It's that good.

Great price for comfortable simple accommodation. Our hosts were very helpful. I had my mountain bike with me and was able to secure it overnight. Clean, good hot water and basic cups kettle etc. Terrific location for cycling up the hill out the back and onto the O'Shannassy Aqueduct....thanks for the tip Franz! I did the loop back down Dee Road and along the rail trail...a perfect afternoon cross country cycle!

Wonderful stay at the Warburton motel. We rode our bikes from lilydale and the bike storage was great. The rooms were super clean and spacious, and the grounds are delightful. We sat around a fire on Saturday night and enjoyed the serenity. The owners are so helpful and have created a wonderful little place. Will defiantly be back!

Very disappointed with the room and the owners, the rooms were nothing like the pictures on the internet! The spa was falling apart and we were told by Franz that is was normal! Had an argument over the amount owing as his wife was in his ear! The doors wouldn't lock etc.. Beautiful town, but I'd look elsewhere for accommodation!

We had a great time here. Really accomodating hosts, super comfy beds, (extremely welcome) reverse cycle AC, and nice spa! If I had one complaint it would be the shower head but that’s not even a small issue and maybe we’re just spoiled at home. Overall, excellent service, and they went out of their way to look after us!

What a find! An amazing Retro Cool 60s motel, given a new lease of life, yet retaining all the period charm of the era, with lots of modern comforts. Our host Simone was incredibly helpful and hospitable, making sure our rooms were clean, warm and cosy for our arrival. Could not fault this place.

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. The hosts were really helpful with must do activities. A cosy little motel that's really close to the river walk. The rooms have all basic amenities one would need and kept very clean although a bit dated. For the price, I'd totally recommend this place

Lovely motel, very clean and comfortable. Really nice and accomodating owners, the bike hire was excellent too and we loved the open fires to gather around in the evenings. Our kids also loved that it was near the caravan park so we could easily wander down to the amazing water playground.

What a hidden gem Didn't stay at the accommodation, but hired floating tubes to ride down the Yarra river for 1.5 hours in such beautiful, natural surrounds plus a 3 course dinner package cooked by authentic Italian chefs and it was such a great experience. Absolutely loved it …

What a sweet little motel run by awesome people. It’s a relic of the 60’s, but so cool and fun. Don’t expect silver service, but rest assured you’ll be well looked after. Good Hospitality is a rare thing, as is a campfire on a cold night! Will definitely be back.

A very clean motel, lovely gardens and close to the Yarra river for a shallow paddle during Summer. Manageress is very friendly and polite, but not intrusive. A great place to use as a base to explore everything Warburton and surrounds has to offer.

Such a cute little motel in the most unlikely location. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the camp fires at night are a special addition to the experience. Have stayed here a few times now and will definitely be staying again in the future.

Had a great lunch on Easter Saturday with the family. Jesse was welcoming on arrival and his service throughout our lunch was first class. Great experience, highly recommended.

Absolutely lovely town with great sights, yes the rooms are older and dated, but the beds are comfortable, the shower is hot, it's one of the rare pet friendly hotels (why I picked it) and the owners have been great
