I wish the staff members (every single one I've interacted with) could be cloned several times over and employed at all branch libraries. Short of that, I'm sure these guys could put on a helluva training session for the (way too many) employees who struggle with customer-service. More realistically, however, these guys should be recognized, cherished, and held as the gold standard for LAPL staff.
Rossi, the elderly woman at the front desk, is a lovely person! This library is quiet and well-stocked and has a remarkable wall of black authors. It was difficult to only bring home what I could carry. Rossi even gave me a free bookmark and helped me step by step making my library card. I feel so lucky that this is the closest library to me because it is such a dream to come here :)
This beautiful old library has been closed and fenced off for some time. I hope that there are plans for restoration. The pictures and the location that now show up on Google maps is a new library in the area. It is not the original, beautiful old building on Arlington just north of Washington. I hope that it hasn't been razed since this one was built!
There's access to reading material, audio visual and other information resources from this and 72 other locations in the City of Los Angeles. Online resources are available through the website and related mobile apps. Wireless printing is available and computer access is free for up to 2 hours per day.
Polite and helpful staff. Clean facility. Quiet mostly but can get a little loud depending on the time (which happens to all libraries based on peak times and attendant demographics i.e. children). My experiences here have been good so far and I will return. Thanks.
Great public library! Its very clean and has plenty of outlets you can use. Theres a small parking lot but I've never had trouble finding a space. The staffs super friendly and nice and theres plenty of large desks/ medium size to work at!
Nice librarians, mellow patrons, usually quiet. Lots of interesting books to be explored. If you need a break, there is a Starbucks, fast food joints, a Catholic church and gorgeous historic homes nearby.
The black old lady at the front desk is really really rude! I've seen her be rude to other people too don't recommend this library for applying for you library card, just for checking out books …
Ms.Nailah was extremely kind and helpful , she helped me find the books I was looking for and even pointed me in the right direction for a book that was not available. I am very grateful.
The staff is always friendly, always a computer available, magazines and newspapers to look at, and 10 free copies (color even) per day. What's not to love? ❤️
The employees were super nice however the place is very messy and kids wouldn't stop running around. Couldnt get my studying done unfortunately.
Significant social estrangement is occurring. There are many large, roomy rooms at this location. desks and computers aplenty for everyone.
Aside from the usual daily disgusting street people sleeping here to charge their phones, its small, quaint and nice.
This library is very quiet and a lot of helpful staff members are there. This library is astonishing!
Small selection of books. However the librarian will order them for you. Restroom is rarely clean.
Easy access to computers, books and DVDs. The employees are "Super Nice"! Makes me feel at home.
Friendly optimistic librarians and staff will share resources with hopeless student minds.
Live this library. Always I visit to read something new. Parking available for free.
The staff was very friendly & helpful . I'll return in the future, for sure.
Love this small neighborhood library! Been going there since it was built.
