I had a dental appointment scheduled on Tues Oct. 25th. I was unable to go due to a work emergency so I called and rescheduled. I talked with Cindy and she was very upset with me that I had to reschedule. She preceded to tell me that that they called to confirm and they sent text messages, and asked very aggressively, could I keep my appointment. I immediately felt uncomfortable just from her tone of voice. As a patient I feel that was unprofessional for her to tell me how they tried to confirm an appointment with me while I’m trying to reschedule due to circumstances out of my control. I have never rescheduled before and when they called and reschedule my appoint due to Dr. Church having a conference earlier this year, I gladly rearranged my schedule with no complaints. She told me that they had an open appointment for Thursday Oct 29th, and if I didn’t make it, they were booked for the rest of the year. I told her I would take the appointment and I would see them then. Today I get to the dentist office for my appointment and they don’t have me on the schedule. I asked to speak to Cindy who scheduled my appointment and she denied speaking with me. She claimed she didn’t have recollection of the conversation nor did she put any notes in my account concerning the conversation we had about rescheduling my appointment. I have the phone call record on my phone! I asked to speak with a manager because I know this was deliberately done, because I rescheduled my appointment. There is no way she forgot our conversation! I could see if she said that I misheard the date of the reschedule, but she said she NEVER talked to me. I was told that there was no manager or supervisor to file a complaint with. For an employee to do this to a patient just to get their point across is completely unethical and unscrupulous. To add to the improper conduct, I called back in August to let the office know that my insurance changed, and I wanted to make sure they accepted it. I also wanted to know how much of my dental plan would be covered with the new insurance. I was told that I had several people ahead of me, but they would get back to me as soon as possible. I never got a call back! I didn’t even know they updated and accepted my insurance until my phone call with Cindy yesterday. She told me they updated my insurance on September 21st. How would I know this unless I talked to her! I’m totally disappointed and disgusted with the way I was treated. They have shown me time and time again that they do not value me as a patient. All the while there is no one to hold Cindy accountable for her actions or try and rectify the situation. Making another appointment would do no justice because I no longer feel comfortable or safe to bring my business there.

Came from Fort Wayne for a gold crown. At examination by dentist I was pulled out for immediate payment. Sent to another dental technician for a temporary crown that was so large and sharp it stuck to my cheek. When I called I was told to buy dental wax and put it on there. No need..that night it cracked in half. So 4 hours round trip again to get a second temporary crown and that one lasted 2 days until it completely fell off and was told to go buy dental cement and glue it on by myself. Called again and left messages again (sent to fax or answering machine repeatedly during business hours) and never received a return call. 2 weeks with a completely open root canal tooth, and 1400 dollars in, prepaid. I can't quit. Arrive for gold crown and tell the technician my story..no response. As she's fitting my gold crown she dropped it on the floor, wipes it on a paper towel and puts it back in my mouth. Now I have a gold crown cutting into my outside gums and would be another 4 hour trip and 80$ in gas to get that looked at with a low confidence rating.

The doctors and nurses here are absolutely fantastic. I had a major phobia of going to the dentist for the longest time and finally decided it was time. They were extremely welcoming and helped keep my anxiety and stress levels to a bare minimum through the entire process. I had a decent amount of work done including cleaning, wisdom tooth removal, and cavities filled. I was very anxious about this procedure, but they made sure to keep my anxiety and pain to the absolute minimum. If you are having any doubts about getting dental work done due to a phobia or anxiety issues, I can assure you this is the right dentist to go to. Every one of their staff members I met were so nice, calm, and respectful and walked me through the process perfectly and professionally. I still need a little more work done and I have no doubt that I'm going back here to finish the work needed to be done on my teeth. Thank you so much, you are amazing Washington Street Dentistry!

From the time I walk in the door I feel the love from the staff. They greet you by your name when you arrive for your appointments. I think that shows that the staff make it their mission to knew each patient by name. Dr. Church is always so friendly and ask you about your day. I always look forward to my next appointment because the staff is so friendly. Who knew a person would be looking forward to going to the dentist. I like the friendly reminder of appointments whether it's by text, email or phone call. I always talk high about my experience I have after leaving the dentist. I always recommend you guys when someone ask my about a dentist. Doing the whole time you are having any procedure done they are always talking to you and reassuring the your are feeling comfortable and make sure that you endure less discomfort as possible.

I just love Dr. Church! He is so professional and intelligent in his craft, yet super personable and friendly with you and his staff. I have been a patient for a few years now and most of my visits were pretty normal until this year. But, Dr. Church worked his magic and made sure I was taken care of. His ability to reason with you and be empathetic with your situation is a reason why I continue to patronize his business, not to mention the fact that he genuinely cares about my teeth and my healthy smile. Thank you so much for making sure I remain healthy and educated about the health and upkeep of my chompers. I appreciate you, Dr. Church. Now, I can continue to smile confidently and no one knows how much metal is in my mouth - haha! Thank you so much, you are wonderful!

My experience with Dentist wasn't the best, until I started going to Dr. Matthew Church he really cares about what you would like to accomplish in getting your smile and teeth back to the way that they should be, Dr. Church is very patient and understanding and HE LISTENS to what you would like to have done. The office staff is amazing and ALL the assistants are terrific. The Dental Hygentist Liz and Brittany are great. I have told all my friends about Matt and his staff. I would give them 100 stars if that were possible. Thanks to Dr. Church and the whole office staff for being the best in the business. Also Thanks for helping me get my smile back!!!!

I love going there you are always treated like they have known you forever. Appointments run pretty on time with very little wait time. Dr. Church always takes time to answer your questions. I have never had a complaint except for maybe this last time. I love having my teeth cleaned it always is done with caring technicians. This last time my favorite part was skipped. I love having my teeth polished at end but didn't happen this time. Not sure maybe has changed since covid. Hope they bring back the process....but if you want a great experience at a dentist Washington Street Dental place to go. Best to have appointment

I have been with the Washington Street Dentistry since around 2008 for my routine cleanings. This year was the first time that I had to have what I call major work done. I broke part of my tooth and had to have a crown put in. I didn't know what to expect but the staff made me feel comfortable by explaining the procedure to me step by step. The staff in very efficient and seem to know exactly what they are doing. I had a very good experience. Everyone is friendly.I never have to wait long to be seen and I always seem to get in and out at a reasonable time. Alecia Hudson

My grandmother loved Dr. Church and his breathtaking blue eyes! She was a form patient of Dr. Church's and brought me here when I was a kid. I grew up loving to go to the dentist because of this facility. It is great for kids, teens and adults. They have you right in and right out with a nice open relaxing waiting area. It is clean, friendly, convenient, and informative. They do an outstanding job from cleanings, wisdom teeth removal, teeth whitening, and root canals and more! I refer everyone to Washington Street Dentistry and wouldn't dare go anywhere else!

Not a fan. First visit was not welcoming at all. Assistant wanted me to pay for my services in the middle of my services. Lol I didn't. Instead of explaining what could have been a simple misunderstanding for a procedure, Matthew & his assistant only mocked me. I wouldn't have mind but neither explained the proper procedure. This dentist stepped back & looked at me like I was getting on his nerves during my 6min procedure. Lol Just didn't feel professional. A little ghetto actually. Heard they're cheap though. You get what you pay for

The front desk is friendly and very helpful for scheduling appointments and letting you know up front if there are any out of pocket expenses prior to dental work. Dr. Church and his dental assistants are caring people - good people. They try to ensure the best comfortable dental experience. Dr. Church is warm and caring. He always greets me with a smile and a handshake. He wants to know how I'm doing. He helps me make best decisions on all of my dental needs. I truly like this office and I thank Dr. Church and his entire staff.

Dr. Church and his staff are amazing. My family And I have been patients there for a long time at least 10 years and i can't imagine taking my children or myself anywhere else for dental services. They always make uncomfortable situations such as today (needed a small filling) more comfortable and easier to get through. Always a great experience with Dr. Church and his staff! I love that they treat myself and my daughter like we’re just one of the family. Great care, explanations, and conversations. We’ve moved on a completely different side of Indianapolis and yet we continue to come back for our dental care at the corner of German Church and Washington St. My daughter has gone there since she was 2 or 3 and she’s 14 now! I’ve gone there for even longer.

In the door and into the dentist chair. Absolutely no wait. That is far from the best part of my visit. The staff was extremely helpful in helping me navigate the ins and outs of my insurance and scheduling future work to maximize my benefits. The results were a great cost savings for me and a plan forward to a better smile. The work that precipitated my visit was handled quickly, painlessly and with great results. They are the best!

I’ve went here for three years now and I absolutely love it! Dr. Church is by far the best dentist I have ever went to, I have never had a bad expirence ! I highly recommend coming here.The staff is always friendly and respectable. I have had no issues with this dentist. Staff is very nice and so is Dr. Church. Started going here when I first moved to Indy in 2013. I don’t like dentist, but I am comfortable here. I initially lived East and it was close. I left the area and moved back far West and they took me back as a patient. I take the 30 min. drive there so that says a lot about this place. My entire family goes. Great place!

I have to say that everyone there is extremely nice, helpful and committed to patient care. I'd like to make a special mention for Cindy. Even during a trying and super busy period, she was able to accommodate my needs. At 53 yrs old, I've experienced many dentists in my life and Dr. Church is by far my favorite. I would recommend this practice to anyone in need of their dental expertise.

I started going to Washington Street Dentistry in 2009 after moving to Indiana the previous year. The whole family has been pleased with the whole experience. I have had extensive dental work done from root canals, bridges and now implants. They are very accomplished with their work and I don't fear going in for cleanings, checkups or any work needed. Everyone is very friendly and caring.

Dr. Church has been my dentist for over 20 years. That saids something right there! He is very good at what he does! He is very professional yet very caring and concerned about his patients! Having dentists in my family for three generations and having spent a fair amount of time in a dentists' chairs in six states and two countries, I feel qualified to comment on any given dental practice. Washington Street Dentistry provides a wide range of dental services but will refer as needed. I recommend them.

I have always trust Dr. Church & his staff today, i went in for regular teeth cleaning & mentioned some soreness to my dental Hygienist& she looked in to sore spot & mentioned to Dr. Church & he took care of that problem immediately& I have no pain!! Their services are excellent.

Dr Church and his ladies are wonderful! It had been some time since I had been to a dentist, he placed fills which were almost painless and his chair side manner is like no other. If you’re a baby about your mouth I’d suggest paying Dr Church a visit, he is the best!
