We were looking for a good drink spot to kill a bit of time, and luckily we were encouraged to try Water Witch by our waiter at Vertical Diner down the street (plus: you can walk to WW from VD!) We walked less than 5mins to WW and found that the place was actually poppin' on a Sunday afternoon. Luckily, there was no line and open spots at the bar, so we were seated right away (they also have outdoor seating under a closed tarp, but I couldn't tell if there was heaters -- it was flurry-snowing that day). Being able to sit at a bar and chat with the bartender is one of our fave things to do. It's another thing that COVID has made more difficult, so we were happy to be able to do this here! We downloaded the menu with the QR code, but couldn't decide. Antonio behind the bar let us know that the bartenders are able to come up creative, improvised drinks if we were able to tell them a lil' of what we were hoping for, i.e. whiskey with citrus and tequila with citrus. The friendly female bartender made us a couple drinks that were quite refreshing and delightful. The prices are surprisingly reasonable, and patrons were also surprisingly respectful (low talking volume). We had to keep our voices down for once! The ambiance is laidback and cool. I would totally come back for a date night (before or after dinner) or bring back some friends from outta town.
SLC can trace a whole lot of the top cocktail programs that now exist back to Sean Neves, Matt Pfohl, and Scott Gardner. As the Facebook page says: "After forty billion years of trials and tribulations, The Witch is alive." It is indeed. The food doesn't start until next week, but the cocktails, and beer, are available now. This place takes all the best of craft cocktails and removes the pretense around it. There aren't 100 different bitters. There isn't an entire rack of infusions. There are no uniforms. There are fresh juices, top quality alcohols, and decades of experience behind the bar crafting delicious drinks. There is a raft of beer taps on the side wall. This is a place to stop by before, or after, going somewhere else. It's a neighborhood bar. Albeit, a neighborhood bar with a trio of the top barkeeps in the State. I can see many new ventures coming out of others who end up working here. My drink? It had Rye, Fernet Branca, Sherry, and some other little things. It's not a combination I would think could go together, but it worked. It was something Scott created on the fly. They had the daily special Daiquiri for $6. You're not going to find any other class operation having drinks at that price point as well.
Super WACK first and last time experience thanks to Skylar. Worst customer service experience I’ve received, and that’s the fact that we were never helped. My friend and I went for the first time 05/17 around 6-7PM when we decided to sit at the bar we looked at the drink menu for a few minutes and we’re ready however SKYLAR kept looking over us and totally disregarding my friend and I, honestly felt low key racist as we were the only POC in the place, and he kept helping other people around us. My friend and I were conversing the whole time and not once were we asked if we needed help. He asked the other nice worker if we were a to go and still proceeds to not help us. When I asked for our drinks, after 15 minutes he continues to not make them. I 100/10 would not recommend this place. Much less if SKYLAR is on the clock, extremely unprofessional how he can say hello to his friends instead of doing his job and helping us when we’d been there a while. I would definitely suggest a manager take a look at the cameras if there are any concerns/to see what kind of lame worker you guys have. So upsetting to see such a greatly recommended place let you down due to a lousy worker, I’d give negative stars if possible.
Anyone who calls Water Witch a "hipster" bar must be drowning in an ocean of their own insecurities. I'm a soon to be 69 year old, short, chubby man, who looks like a cross between Danny DeVito and Bob Hoskins. I am treated with respect and understanding at Water Witch, and my cocktail needs are met with both aplomb and panache. Not only does the staff honor my maturity, but the clientele are almost "old school" with their interaction with me. I have had these so called "hipsters" actually offer me their seat at the bar. Water Witch may be the most welcoming bar in Salt Lake City, and the proprietors want the place to be diverse. It is obviously one of their goals, in what can be a rather myopic and xenophobic town. While Water Witch is the quintessential cocktail bar, they also have an intelligent and eclectic beer list catering to all tastes. My only negative about the bar is the small space it occupies. It could use some extra square footage, but that would raise the overhead, and thus cause a raise in prices. Thus, let us cherish Water Witch in its present form. Bravo for being the very best bar in Salt Lake City!
Water Witch is a new age bar with great selection of unique cocktails and high end liquor. The reason for the one star is due to other reasons. Tonight we witnessed the bartender (who we believe to be the owner not confirmed) verbally abuse their coworker/employee. Was it busy? Yes. Was he frustrated? Yes. And rightfully so he was alone serving all individuals. But that doesn't give you the right to treat others poorly. Especially your employees (still speculating on that). How you treat others is a direct reflection of you you are as a person and a reflection of the businesses that deserve support. I hope this gets to you and you realize you were in the wrong (especially since you chased us down asking if we still wanted the drinks we ordered and never received and I told you how messed up it was to lash out on others because of your frustrations.) I'm not mad about anything else. It was busy and the fact I didn't get my drink yet was no surprise it was only 5 minutes maybe after I ordered. Just please treat the people you decide to work with/next to better. Everyone deserves respect.
I went there on Sunday with a friend, it was about 4pm and when we walked in there was a sign that said “please wait to be seated”. We waited for a few minutes and all we got were awkward stares from the two bartenders working. We finally sat ourselves and the female bartender tossed a menu at us without saying anything. We waited another ten minutes for either bartender to even acknowledge that we were sitting at the bar. It appeared as if both of them were avoiding us until the other one would give in and decide to take our order. A male bartender finally asked very abruptly what our order was. I would have ordered more drinks but was never given the opportunity to. The bar was not busy at that time of day and everyone else had already been served. It made me and my friend extremely uncomfortable to be there not only due to the lack of timely service but the obvious resistance both bartenders had in doing their jobs and helping a customer especially since one decided to take time to pull out a book and skim through it. I won’t be back.
I was very excited to visit Water Witch after my sister and brother in law recommended. However, my high hopes for the place were dashed the moment I walked in the door. Jacob, one of the bartenders that evening, was very rude and inconsiderate from the get go. He asked all of us for our IDs. And I’m from out of state, so I didn’t realize that you needed to take out your ID and have it scanned. Then my sister realized I had her ID in my wallet, so I quickly asked for the wallet back to get out both IDs. Suddenly, Jacob threw my wallet at me when he asked me for my ID and walked away just because I said I wanted to show him my sisters ID. The aggression was uncalled for, and I hope he was just having a bad night. The one star is for the other bartender, Jason, who tried to salvage the experience and got us to stay to enjoy our one drink of the night. Jason was 5/5 and is the only reason I would recommend this place I just hope he teaches Jacob how to treat customers especially when there are few guests in the place
Tasty, creative cocktails in a tiny bar that gets crowded fast! We visited on a Saturday at 8pm, so it was understandably crowded. There's pretty limited seating so expect to stand with your drink. Even the patio is pretty small. Luckily, people move out quickly and are friendly enough to share tables if spots open up. However, it might be more challenging to get a seat if you're with a group. Music is fairly loud and you'll have to raise your voice a bit to talk to the person next to you. Drinks were delicious and the bartenders were friendly (but busy). Some of the flavor profiles and combinations sounded quite odd, but the drinks were all tasty and well-balanced. I appreciated that the cocktail selection included things that we wouldn't make at home. We ordered off the menu but it seemed like you could still ask for classics and they'd be great quality. Overall, not the vibe I was looking for after my 12 hour shift but I'll be very happy to visit again perhaps on a weekday evening.
Alright, so 1 of my chefs was very excited to take me here. "Best mixologists in Utah own this place" "super creative and amazing drinks". Drinks were alright, we tried almost every 1 and the only 1 that was really good was the blatherskite. It was a great take on a classic cocktail and I think they nailed it. So for the drinks not being overwhelmingly amazing they lose 1 star. And the next star they lose is because we spent a good ticket size there and being in the industry I always tip very generous. So I was a little frazzled as when we are walking out, literally 1 foot away from the door. The bartender goes "put your mask on your way out" I was stunned at first. What the heck I'm literally 1 foot from the door. Just another reminder why we don't live in Salt Lake anymore and it was the icing on top to never come here again. I would have definitely give them another chance, probably even brought in more industry people but 100% not anymore.
the dude with the glasses and short hair is honestly a pretty mean, inconsiderate bartender. any other bartenders i've interacted with here have always been so funny and sweet, but this guy tonight on 12/02 upcharged me, ignored me several times to prioritize customers, and when i was ready to pay my tab, he ignored me for another customers drink order, closed the tab to the left of me that waited less time, and took a second drink order once again before i asked him for the second time if i could pay my tab to leave. definitely coming back just sure hope he isn't there to bartend me, if you read this and ur the mean bartender guy, i just want you to know it was my bday and that hurt my feelings :( thank you for reading.

I had a great bartender the day I went (5-23) but I cannot remember his name. I believe he had been there awhile. Great attitude. He knew what he was providing; craft cocktails. I wanted something he didn’t have, a vanilla vodka, but he didn’t make me feel stupid for asking. He mentioned it’s always good to ask as they may have a special syrup or something possibly. My desire for a fancy craft mind eraser wasn’t met. However, he made me something with the roulette drink option and it was great. He asked some questions and quickly came up with a cocktail I thought was impressive. Delicious and wonderful presentation. That experience was 5 stars. I never felt belittled when reminded, of sorts, what they were providing. I left satisfied and looking forward to coming again!
I’ve been wanting to stop by this place for quite some time and finally got the chance to do so tonight. I will start off by saying… damn they make a great cocktail. Probably one of the best ones I’ve had. Not sure if that outweighs the poor service though. We had a few friends meet us here and the bartender assisting us tonight had such a horrible attitude from the moment we walked in. It felt as though our mere presence was an inconvenience to him. I only ended up having one drink because I just didn’t want to approach him. Just an overall negative vibe so we all collectively agreed to go elsewhere. I really hope he was just having a bad night and that’s not the status quo.

Stumbled onto this bar completely by accident while killing some time before my dinner next door at Nohm. I ordered a simple single from some bottle that stood out to me but while I sipped it slowly was able to watch the bartenders hone their skills on a variety of elaborate cocktails including one which required some large flames that was perfectly executed by one of the bartender owners. I could tell he was an owner because he chatted with me very politely and professionally for quite some time before with his eyes scanning the entire venue as only an owner could. The place is small and can get really busy but there's a handful of pros churning the drink requests so all in all a top destination for cocktails in a fun social little hole!
I'll start by saying the love the vibe. It's quirky without being tacky. The space is very small, and it was crowded when we visited on a Thursday evening. It felt a bit claustrophobic, but we were able to snag a table outside. The service was SLOW. I've worked enough hospitality jobs to have a lot more patience than the average patron. So when I'm starting to wonder what's happening, you know things are very backed up. We had mezcal negronis for our first round. I'd give that cocktail a 2/10. Maybe 3 if pressed. Our second round was a watermelon drink and cocktail with cognac (I can't recall the name). Those were definitely better, but we still weren't excited by our drinks. Would I give it another shot? Maybe.
An amazing gem of a venue in an rising up and coming strip. So I never expected SLC to have great venues I had succumbed to the fables and stories rooted in the past. This place alone (there are other great venues) is worth the visit. As with all bars the clientele can change the atmosphere by some margin this place has staff that can steer it back, flawlessly. Ever changing specials, deadly regular cocktails and nothing is too hard for them to make for you. Utah has some strange drinking laws and they toe the line without losing the hospitable nature that bars are afforded else where. If you have only one night in SLC this is the place if you have a week I promise you’ll be here 5/7 nights. Thank me later
I've sold my Soul to the Witch. My absolute Favorite place to spend time after working. The bartenders are wonderful some even give you hugs! Some are friends from years ago some are becoming friends. Come join the Witch Community. Come find out what a Hamberger is. Or get a Saturn from Mikey. Maybe ask Kenzie for something with Cynar or ask Jake for a last word with Mezcal. Maybe even ask Cliff for a surprise cocktail because he's that daym good. I'm a life long Witcher meow. Maybe you'll find me sitting at the bar laughing with friends. Cheers Before I forget get a Tiki Drink from Sam OR Mikey!!!
Good drinks and whiskey selection, poor poor service. We walked in right as they opened and listened to the bartender’s personal conversation with a friend and were ignored. We sat down, listened some more and continued to be ignored. After finally being acknowledged, we watched all the locals and friends of the bartender treated like Norm on Cheers, we felt kinda bad. Then we watched another couple who clearly weren’t friends with the bartender wait so long to be acknowledged that they just left. I think this bar seems nice, but only if you know the guy behind the bar. If not, you’re just a piece of furniture.
I was so excited to try this place out but I wasn’t a fan. Any bar I’ve ever been to whether big or small has table service, so it was very strange that even in a 300 sq ft space on a slow afternoon with maybe 5 other people in the place the bartender couldn’t be bothered to take our order or bring our drinks to us. We had to keep getting up to serve ourselves and it felt backwards. After looking over the owner’s rude responses to some of the lower reviews, I see their attitude matches their service. I’m usually a great tipper but seeing as I got 0 service I left 0. Sorry not sorry.
This is a tiny, extremely cool place. Standing room only on weekends, but the interactive style of ordering (they don’t have a cocktail menu, just really savvy bartenders that help you find something you like), fairly priced small plate food items, and incredibly tasteful wine and beer selection make it worth it. All of the downtown industry folks consistently make the extra effort to get over to central ninth for this bar when they aren’t working themselves, so that tells you it’s got something going for it. I’d give it five stars if it weren’t so damn small inside!
Was trying to find a place to stop for drinks that we had never tried before. We did some searching and decided on Water Witch and we are so happy we did! We walked inside and the decor is simple and the lighting gives off and very inviting and relaxing vibe. Service was top notch. Bartenders really knew their stuff and were happy to make suggestions if you weren’t sure. The drinks were also phenomenal! One of the best mezcal old fashioned drinks I have had in a long time! Will definitely be coming back.
One if my closest local watering holes. I like being able to say that and technically this is peoples freeway neighborhood so try it out if you haven’t. I had a gin drink. My husband had something with rum I believe. It is small but cozy. We sat right at the bar snd got there around 11pm maybe. Either way was glad we went and the bathroom and liquor collection is impressive. Definitely a collection, you can tell the owners and patrons are cocktail connoisseurs and have a passion for good drinks.
How wondrous is Water Witch? How amazing do you feel when you saddle up to the bar and receive a life-changing cocktail from any of the incredibly friendly and talented barkeeps? How connected to your community can you be after a neighborly conversation opens your eyes to the world around you, forever altering your life view? How wild can it get, on tiki Sunday with torches shining bright, stumbling out in the starlight? Head down and see for yourself. And don't forget the milk.
I was super excited to try this place but it turned out to be a pretentious, over priced, hipster bar with bad cocktails. I would not recommend the Isotope unless you want to be completely overwhelmed by mint. Seriously, it was so much mint. Apparently there were other ingredients in the drink but I couldn't taste them. And for 13-15$ per drink, I would hope for something better.

BEST bar in SLC. Hands down. If you Happen to visit SLC and don't visit Water Watch, you'd be better off missing your first childs birth. This place is that special. It's not a drinking state, but if it gets smart and turns a corner ... this bar could be held responsible for that positive change in spirits and libations. Order a whiskey, cinnamon to be exact, you may fall in love with Party Fuel. Changed my life. Pray it changes yours.
What a hidden gem and a fun place! Our exploration of this unique bar was an exquisite experience. One of owners shared how the place was named, and it relates to large painting on the wall. Watched a fun drink being made with Gruet Champagne which comes from our home town of Albuquerque, NM. Learned one of the owners was from Albuquerque, and that brought on more festive conversation! Thank you Scott and Jason, we appreciate you!
Aptly named, the three different bar tenders I've been served by here have supernatural potion making skills. Master craftspeople, every one. The specials board changes frequently and doesn't disappoint, but my wife likes to just say "I want something with that liqueur" or "I want something with auch and such flavor profile." and let them surprise and delight her. It's crowded and requires patience but it's worth the wait.
This is one of the best spots to hang out in salt lake. The bartender today, Jake, was so friendly and personable. Went out of his way to make sure I was having a good time while enjoying my perfectly mixed cocktails. I will be back.

I went with a friend and we asked the bartender for something apple flavored. We were told there was nothing apple flavored at all. Then my friend said she was just in the mood for something sweet and he said “I don’t know what that means", but not in a funny way. He sounded annoyed. We thought he could have given us some suggestions or been creative with us but instead we just felt unwelcome, we haven’t been back.
There are a lot of solid cocktail bars in Salt Lake, but this place is special in going off script and encouraging drinks with character as well as quality. Clientele seem to appreciate the level of bartenders and tap into what this bar can offer. If you're a cocktail geek, Water Witch is a must visit. And if you just like to drink, don't be intimidated, just tell them what you like and enjoy your evening!
All these responses to the negative reviews warm my heart. Mikey and Sam both do an Incredible job and you should do yourself a favor and stop by if you haven't already.

Great place to visit and outstanding service.. from the moment you walk in to the moment you get service. highly recommended.. awesome food amazing service and personality. interesting people, unique vibes all day very personable uplifting in souls kenzie is an amazing waitress filled with good spirit thank you for everything and all you do. the food is amazing 10 out of 10
First time there today. It's not a big place and it was packed. The bartenders were nice. I ordered a gin and tonic with Bombay Sapphire gin. What I got was good but it was pink. Tasted good and I slugged it down ...only had the one drink as it was small and very crowded exacerbating my mental health issues. I met a couple guys who seemed like regulars...they were affable.
Small fun and interesting bar with great staff. No premade drinks on the menu. If you know what you want or have a go to that you always have they make everything really well. Otherwise they will ask you a few questions like what type of alcohol, sweet or savory, etc and make you something. I've never been disappointed and it's a great way to branch out on types of drinks
This place is small, cozy, intimate, perfect for a date with a friend or by yourself. I had to talk the bartender into making me a drink of his recommendation but after letting him know my preference of liquor he made me a drink, with my exact tastes, very intuitive, a drink I've never had before too, impressive. Loved the experience for a quick drink.
I mean hey, I’m a 13 year old kid, my uncle I believe is the entrepreneur/ owner of this place. I can guarantee you if he’s there, he will make a bombass Margarita or Martini, whatever you prefer top quality because, I know him. He and his employees will I guarantee, not disappoint you one bit and you will leave satisfied with your decision -Gabriel
Creative, delicious cocktails in a small space with seating at the bar, a few tables inside and outdoor seating. I've been here twice with friends and both times have been packed to standing room only (thankfully we had a table both times) and you have to be prepared to talk really loud to converse because the music is always really loud!
I have visited this bar on and off since Fall of 2017 when l first discovered it. The drinks are amazing and the staff is always friendly. Michael has worked there since I can remember and he always recognizes me and gives me a friendly hello. They also have gender neutral restrooms which I appreciate as a non binary individual.
This place is absolutely fantastic. The bartenders were super friendly and helpful, and the drinks they made were delicious. The vibes were a great departure from the usual utah sports bar feel, very laid back but also upscale. It also felt queer friendly which is a huge plus. You should absolutely check this place out, 10/10!
Small "neighborhood" bar that just happens to have been opened by several of the more serious bartenders in the city. Prices are fantastic and quality abounds. This place is small enough (and good enough) that you should enjoy the rare moments when you get a quiet seat to yourself and can chat up the very knowledgeable staff.
These guys really know how to make drinks! Not your typical Utah bar that just pours beer or mixes vodka cranberry. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Mike is the best bar keep! Try a traditional daiquiri, they are delicious! Very nice clean bathrooms as well (not typical at all for a bar!) Bring back Tiki Sundays!!
Great traditional daiquiris. The Gravy Boat (pictured) was a fun take on a drink vessel and the fernet worked well in it. Went twice on our trip. It does get busy but that is expected for a small place like this when the drinks are made well.

A great neighborhood bar that happens to offer world class cocktails. I regularly walk in and name a base spirit and a general flavor or style and let them go to work. The service is great and the prices are right. It get crowded in the evenings but for an after work destination Water Witch can't be beat.
If you're looking for craft cocktails by bartenders who are true mixologists, this is the place for you. There really isn't a menu. Let the bartender know what type of drink you're in the mood for and then be prepared to have your expectations exceeded. If only there were more places like this Salt Lake.
A sharp, insatiable absoluteness in it's breath, the Water Witch tickles your neck with it's breath as you walk through the doors into it's hospitable atmosphere. Txopinongo Cider on tap, seductively calls your name as you sit down at the bar. You've come to the right place. You've come to Water Witch.
Cute and small establishment with friendly bartenders who know their craft. They have lots of options for whiskey/scotch and other liquors that aren’t popular but delicious. The hot toddy was one of the best I have ever had and they have Chartreuse VEP. First time having that and it was spectacular.
A friend and I went there because we liked the atmosphere and aesthetics, but left after 15 minutes since no one paid us any attention. We just sat down on an indoor table and started talking, but no one asked us if we wanted to order anything at any point.

I've never been disappointed here. This is by far the best bar I've ever been to. I usually order surprise drinks, and even if the flavors are not my favorite, it's never a bad, or even mediocre drink. This place is just so good. It's tiny and can get really crowded, but it is so worth it.
Really bad customer service. I sat down at a table inside and for over 10 minutes no one acknowledged I existed so I walk out. The place is as big as a bedroom. 2 bar Tenders. Only 5 people there and they still couldn’t even say can I help you, or I’ll be right with you.

Met friends for a drink here since they love this place. It's small but felt cozy. They had a decent sized menu and of course could make other options. I had one of their IPAs on tap. I felt like the service could have been a little more friendly but overall would visit again!
Don't be intimidated by the menu. Ask the bartender what you want to drink. They'll ask you some basic questions, go back to their office to do some work, and return with the perfect cocktail. I got the feeling they like their work. The hummus and pita is pretty perfect.
Came here last week as the decor looked nice from the outside. The bartender messed up our drinks and she gave us something we didn't even order! Orders also seem to take a long time even though it wasn't busy! Might come back to see if they improve their service
Met a few locals that offered to drive us to their favorite bar and we ended up here. Love the small atmosphere. No cocktail menu that I saw and just asked the bartenders to make me something and all fo the drinks were excellent. Definitely worth the stop!
Easily the best cocktails in salt lake. Bartenders know how to work with liquor laws to get you the best bang for the buck. The drinks are all inventive - Just tell them what you are in the mood for and they will mix it up. Sick vinyl collection as well!
Super dope cocktail bar in SLC! Great drinks at this menu-less bar. The bartenders were great and could make anything I asked for. Had good conversation about spirits as a fellow bartender. Mike was awesome and gave me some good recommends around SLC!
Nice pop-up bar. I would say hipster place. Small but very cozy. There’s also terrace to seat outside. Tasty beers on tap. Big plus that they have GUINESS beer on tap. There wasn’t available place to seat outside, everything was occupied,
Loved it!. The bar is small and can be really crowded when it gets busy. Nonetheless, the bartenders do their best to serve their customers. I love the drinks here. You can have request for a particular drink and they will make it for you.
Really fun place that draws a crowd. Drinks are awesome and the bartenders are great at helping you find something you will like. Indoor space is limited so be patient grabbing seats or a table. Space has a very cool vibe and I'll be back.
This hip little hole in the wall became my absolute go to spot for good cocktails during my month long business trip in Salt Lake City. The bartenders are friendly and experts of their craft. Solid potions here. You won’t be disappointed.
Don't recommend ordering food. Small portions, highly overpriced. Got chips and salsa which only reasonably served 2. Imagine the chips you get at a Mexican restaurant sizes. Drunks are good but expensive. Enjoy the drinks, skip the food.
Cozy neighborhood bar with knowledgeable and friendly bartenders. If it's not too busy, ask them to create a cocktail for you -- they always come up with something perfect! The place has a great vibe and a good selection of whiskey, too.
Easily one of the top cocktail bars in Salt Lake City. No menu, chill vibes, fantastic bartenders with Scott and Pat. They're a neighborhood bar, whether you want a bucket of beers, a blended frozen daiquiri, or an imaginative cocktail.
Negative reviews made me nervous to visit , but I'm so glad I went anyway. Excellent cocktails, great space to get some artwork done on a lazy Sunday afternoon. The bartender was so nice and cool. No downsides to Water Witch.
Really cool bar with great drinks, we did the “roulette” where you tell the bartender what you like and he made us great custom drinks (I got a Smokey old fashioned). One of our favorite cocktail bars in Salt Lake City! More
So good! I am quite impressed with the selection available here and the team there are very knowledgeable about craft. I requested 2 different types of drinks and both times I was very pleasantly surprised by the results.
Always an incredible spot, folks there are phenomenal at cranking out amazing delicious craft cocktails. Plus, you don't gotta worry about the hustle and bustle of downtown, it's a bit more relaxed. Ya gotta check it out!
Water witch is next level. It’s one of the best bars in SLC. It’s such a fun bar with a great selection of spirits. They have very unique and fun cocktails. The food is great too. The witch dip is my favorite, so tasty!
Great atmosphere, clean bathrooms, and a cute outdoor patio. The bartenders were kind and knowledgeable. We only had beer, but it was a treat to watch the variety of cocktails being made. I definitely plan on returning.
One of the better bars in salt lake to hangout with people at. Wonderful mixed drinks, with great ambiance. A young professional crowd, that's more on the hip side. With different music from the normal bar soundscape.
I just moved here from San Francisco and this bar is on par with any bar anywhere. Scoop not only is an extremely talented bar tender he gave my wife a recipe of her favorite drink to carry with her. Highly recommend.
Was looking for some new and unique cocktails and it didn't disappoint. Gave a base liquor and the bartender took it from there. Great vibe, great service, and even better drinks. Could not recommend this place more.
Went for brunch and ordered the Chef Omelette. Also ordered a bottle a champagne for mimosas with cranberry juice. Good place to hang out and have food with friends. Food was good too and the waiter was attentive.
Water witch is one of those little neighborhood treasures. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the cocktails and selection delicious, and the ambiance super cozy and inviting. You will not regret a visit.
Bartender named (or with the name tag) Gustavo makes a great drink but is kind of rude. Cool atmosphere and a great selection, but we were made to feel like we were inconveniencing him by just being there.
Best new bar in town. Intimate setup. Well thought out decor. Drinks slung by a few of the best bartenders in Utah. Orders are made custom for each drink. Go for something new, stay for the experience.
They make some of the best cocktails in the area, and the vibe there is a lot of fun. The door guy, Ludwig, was incredibly friendly and interesting! The rest of the staff were great to talk to as well.
I loved everything about Water Witch. The flaming mai tai was amazing. Everything is better when it's lit on fire right? And the toddy was on a whole other level. I will definitely be going back here.
The bartender we had was great. We showed up at a random time it was a bit slow so we could talk to him, and my fiance would make requests like a summer-y drink, and he would knock it out of the park.
One of the best bars in Salt Lake City. The Staff is incredibly talented and friendly. The bar is beautiful and fun. I would say it's impossible to have a bad time here. Don't miss out on this gem!
Great place to go for cocktails in slc, especially on sunday when most places closed. Unique drink specials at great prices! Bar tender was impressive to watch. Bar stools best we've ever sat on!
Bartenders are true artists. Give them a direction and they will craft you something truly amazing. I think I asked for "something with a ginger base that isnt too sweet" and I was blown away.
Great as atmosphere. Very cool bar. The bartender was a pro. We told him what we liked and he surprised us with custom craft cocktails. I was very impressed and will definitely be back again!
The drinks we ordered were pretty good, nothing special. The metal music was a little loud and overwhelming to try and talk over and the space inside is very small with limited seating.
I enjoy the food, drinks and company at this bar. Everyone is kind and respectful, and I love that.

My favorite bar in SLC...great bartenders. I love how requesting a mezcal cocktail the reply is a confident "I gotcha'". Great ambiance and beer selection too. Keep it up Water Witch!

Excellent place all around! Great atmosphere and vibes, and the bartender (whose name I sadly forgot) was a gentleman and a scholar. I am from out of town but I felt right at home!
My love for JJ and their fellow bartenders is worth every dude that hits on me when I’m there.

Bartender definitely knows what he's doing! Threw some curve balls at him and he nailed it. Definitely recommend if you've had cocktail experiences anywhere. They hold their own.
Top notch bartender's. Tell em what you want and you won't be disappointed. Or you can leave it in their more than capable hands to craft a unique cocktail in front of your eyes.
The bartenders here are amazing! They're so knowledgable about spirits and they make so many fun and unique drinks here.

My favorite place. Every single drink has been absolutely fantastic, and the vibe is the best combo of chill/eclectic/sass and that's just what I need when I want a cocktail.
Cool vibe inside with outdoor seating. Cocktail menu looks really good (also based on other people’s photos), but they gave a nice liquor selection so I kept it on the rocks
Went for a date here. It is a small place but has a great atmosphere. There were a lot of hip 20 somethings and no open tables even in the middle of a blinding snowstorm.
Great little bar. Emphasis on little, this place can probably hold 15 people max. Great vibe. We really enjoyed our cocktails (not mention the cool menu we ordered from)
Awesome feeling little bar! Welcoming, accommodating, good vibe, great drinks, super friendly staff. Heated outdoor smoking area, Swayzee atmosphere. Bring your cool...
Just moved back to utah recently and almost forgotten about this gem! I love coming to water witch! Best hot toddy I’ve ever had! This place never disappoints!
Best cocktails in Salt Lake City. So imaginative and delicious. Tell the bartender what liquor you like and let them surprise you with something amazing.
What a cute little place. I didn't feel rushed even though they were quite busy. I felt valued as a customer. Great cocktails simple and sweet.
Great place with very good drinks at good prices and the bartenders are very nice!though it is kinda small so be careful going on weekends!
