Dinner for 27 people for my sons 21st birthday, arrived at 5:45pm told we had 3 tables everyone arrived suddenly we had 2 tables and not enough for everyone to sit down, find out table was given to someone else, mean while people sitting at the table eating, ordered food via the pass waste of time , not only did the food come out late but the food was wrong for 7 people, staff had no idea what food they had, when finally my food came absolutely disgusting taste burnt wasn’t edible, I missed out on dinner best part of this was my husband paid $50 for scotch fillet waited over an hour didn’t come, I complained staff came over to tell us it was given to someone else, he didn’t even get to eat, our night was spoilt, disappointed with lack of care, definitely not the greatest place anymore why use the pass if your food comes out later than when you normally order, simply not good enough! Just there for lunch in the main bistro area. It was surprisingly very quiet with hardly anyone there and so service when ordering drinks and meals could have been more attentive. 2 of 3 main staff were "messing around" when we first got there but stopped fairly soon after. Nothing serious but still not a good look. Wife and I had the salt and pepper squid and our other guests shared a meatlovers pizza and some onion rings which were a bit oily. The pizza had plenty of topping and our salt and pepper squid was nice. No issue with the table service but like I said the bar service needs a bit of work especially when there was hardly anyone there. The whole complex is quite big as will be the new beer garden when it's finished. We'll be back. 3.7 Stars There for lunch today 8/9/23. Customer service was good, new beer garden looks fantastic but my schnitzel, not so good. The parmigiana topping was over cooked and dried out. My wife had a plain schnitzel with gravy on the side and that was okay. The cooks need to take a bit more care......

Had a very disappointing lunch at Waterloo Station today. To start with, there was mass confusion over the table my daughter booked for us, which was eventually resolved (after about 15 minutes of standing around waiting). Ordered lunch, some ordered via the counter and others ordered from the table using the QR code...half the tables meals came out in good time, while the rest waited nearly 35 more minutes for their orders to be bought out. Upon querying our orders, we were told that the QR code orders got lost in the system. Food was very overpriced, $30 for a steak sandwich that had a piece of gnarly steak, a small amount of lettuce, tomato and cheese on a roll with some chips. Husband had the Parmy and Pasta dish that was barely warm when it came out. To add insult to injury, we paid $5.70 for a 330ml bottle of Coke Zero. Really disappointed, as this used to be a good value for money establishment, where you could come for good food and good service that didn't cost an arm and leg. Think it will be a while before we return...

The new renovation to the outdoor beer garden at the Waterloo Station Hotel is fantastic, it was a major upgrade and they have created a large, welcoming outdoor dining and drinks area. There are multiple large TVs for those interested in sport, lots of well spaced out tables with umbrellas in 2 seperate open space areas and there is a dedicated bar serving this part of the hotel. I recently had some friends join me for a birthday celebration in the beer garden and everyone commented on what a lovely space has been created and how nice it was to sit and have a few drinks on a sunny afternoon. This upgrade has made the Waterloo Station Hotel a real standout in the Salisbury area, and it is now my favourite pub within a few km of the Salisbury city centre to catch up with friends or workmates after work. I will be returning to this hotel, it is a really nice spot to have a few drinks and a meal, congratulations to the hotel on a major upgrade that has made a real positive impact on the outdoor space.

Well this used to be a great pub, before Reno. Used to come regularly. Tonight was not great. Made a booking for 6 pm for 3 of us. Arrived right at 6. Sat down had a drink, which we got at bar, everyone else got table service. Ordered entree and mains and waited, waited, waited....no entree forthcoming. Waiting staff didn't appear to know what they were doing. At one stage 15 plates lined up on the pass. One waitress did 2 laps of the dining room and was checking table numbers before she found the right table. Saw food come back, probably because it was cold. After an hour we asked for our money back and went elsewhere. A lady asked me was I ok and used some excuse about Happy Hour, which finishes at 6. Maybe before seating people should be told it's up to an hours wait. We were looking at venue for Grand daughters birthday but won't be having it here. Poor service. Couldn't rate the food because we didn't get any.

Spending time and money here is a waste. both overpriced and understaffed. There was only one person collecting drink and food orders, thus there was a line extending the length of the dining space. The chicken snitzels were firm, as if they had been prepared and kept heated in the oven before to being ordered. ordered a well-done surf and turf combo for $45. The rump steak was not 200g in size. At most, I'd say 100g. When I cut it open, it was medium rare and bleeding even though I had asked for it well done. ended up not eating it. Let the girl know, and when she informed the kitchen, no one cared. ultimately wrapped it up for the dogs. Even though the renovations appear fantastic, they might want to spend money on a head chef who is concerned about the food's quality. They must raise the bar like when they first started, when the cuisine was excellent and the service was first-rate.

Absolutely amazing night! We had Torie look after us and from the start we could not fault a thing. Tori went above and beyond to deliver amazing personable service that maybe everyone feel welcomed. The food was great and well priced! With all of our 22 guest complimenting their meals. As an added bonus there was plenty of things for the kids to do. The facility includes a well kept playground and two sound proof kids play areas, that made a perfect addition for my nephews with autism to relax if they needed. Staff where nice. Service speed was average. The ultimate garlic cheese and bacon bread was quite nice, came out super hot. Chicken parmigiana was big and nice. The prawns where a bit plain for my liking but cooked perfectly. The bbq ribs where ok. There wasent much meat on the ribs compared to other places. The meat wasent very tender (dident fall of the bone) The calamari was delicious! Would totally get it again. The mushroom gravy was very vinegary, so that was upsetting. But there was slices of mushrooms in it The brownie was disappointing. It was hard, which is a shame because it had a nice taste. $12 for a small cocktail but it took ten minutes to come to the table, even though I only ordered 1 drink and the bar tender wasent serving anyone else and I know this because my table was next to the bar. Loved the decor. They have the option of take away containers.

I had the beef parmy with chips and salad - interesting flavour on the chips not sure what it was - the salad had waaay to much onion plus the tomato was mushy when eaten and the napoli sauce on the parmi tasted like tomato paste out of a jar My husband had the steak surf and turf with chips and salad - he said the steak was cooked to his liking but again the amount of onion was a bit much and we couldn't workout what the sauce was in the jug that came with it - too us it tasted like heated up aioli Also not sure what to say about the garlic bread - disappointed comes to mind We did have some good service but one young fella needs more training For the prices of the food we would have expected better

I had a wonderful Birthday experience. Staff were amazing, but one staff member in particular made our night. Thanks to Torie for her bubbly and vibrant personality. Came here for mums birthday. The venue itself is perfect and we'll thought out. Activities for the kids, the food is always delicious but it's your customer service that just makes it a step above the rest. A beautiful card for mum for her birthday with a gift. A meal was wrong and quickly fixed. The extra entertainment you put on Sundays ( today was a pirate making fairy floss). Which is why Waterloo Station Hotel is always our number 1 choice when getting together as a family.

I took my wife and two grandchildren there for a meal the kids had nuggets and fries , I ordered fish-fries with side salad, wife ordered steak-fries-side . The kids nuggets were rock hard they only ate some of the chips, I returned my Meal because the fish was barely bigger than a match box, it was replaced with a slightly bigger fish that was dry and over fried, my wife’s steak was tough and didn’t smell right. The only good thing I have to say about our experience at the restaurant was that excellent service provided by the young lady that served us it was the best,( ten out of ten, ) the chef zero It was only because of the service by the young waitress that we stayed and didn’t demand our money back.

While the place is nicely renovated, we went in tonight for dinner. We ordered the drinks and waited a while for the drinks to come to the table when I went to get up to get them from the bar the lady said I’ll bring them to you I’m just a little slow tonight. It wasn’t busy at all. I got the wings and rib combo. The wings were so over cooked and the ribs looked pretty sad like they had been sitting there for a long time and then sauce put on them. My partner got fish that was also over cooked the batter very hard. Very disappointing to pay $90.00 and left the meal there.

I had dinner with my family. I ordered chicken parmigiana and chips. The chicken and chips were so dry that I couldn't cut them with a knife. Even though it was very crowded, my chicken came to the table about 8 minutes after ordering. I think they probably cooked chicken and chips in advance and keep them in Bain-marie under warmer for a long time. That’s why it only took 8 minutes from the order to the table and it was dry. My partner ordered steak, but it took about 40 minutes and we couldn't eat it together. I couldn't enjoy dinner at all. Sorry to say that but this was my family dinner experience at here.

Been here a few times before and it was nice. Unfortunately, this time we came it was extremely disappointing and expensive for the quality of food that was served to us. Schnitzels were dry and overcooked, mushroom gravy had no flavour, it was watery and only small about was provided. The chips tasted like they were sitting there for an hour, they were cold and dry. Garlic bread could also do with a bit more garlic. It's a shame, because the place looks amazing. I think you need to put a bit more effort in the kitchen and less on how the bistro looks.

The atmosphere was great and the service was pretty good. However the size of the menu and the menu options were not good. The drink menu should never be bigger then the food menu. And the actual food itself (I got hot chips only) WERE NOT GOOD. They were greasy and left a disgusting taste in my mouth. Unfortunately the service and atmosphere just isn't enough. Your paying for food, you want it to be good. Sadly this was not the case I will not eat there again nor will I recommend it. Overall not a happy customer.

We went for an 80th birthday lunch and I was surprised at how good the food was. We expected typical pub food and was pleasantly surprised with the taste and quantity of the food. I had the 400g rump and all the steaks that came out had that beautiful char grilled flavour that I struggle to find now days when we go out looking for good steak. The schnitzels look amazing too. Will definitely go back again and might take some foody friends along with us next time and hope to get the same satisfaction again. One more thing, the cheesy garlic bread was a huge it on our large table and we'll worth whatever they charged for it. Well done guys.

Right from the get go it was fantastic. Staff wished my husband a happy birthday as well arrived, which was lovely! Then when we went to our table there was a little card wishing my husband a happy birthday, we were all super surprised and it made the dinner even more special, just with that little touch. Food was absolutely delicious and staff were wonderful! A fantastic place for a feed and to celebrate with friends and family!

The upgraded beer garden is awesome, a very nice addition. I had the grilled chicken burger and it was juicy and fresh, I liked the chips they had I slight lemon flavour. My partner had the nachos and didn’t like them, it was basically corn chips with diced tomato and red onion, no salsa and a very small amount of guacamole, we asked for extra, topped with a small amount of tasteless grilled cheese. Besides that the service was good, staff had smiles and the overall atmosphere was good.

Had lunch with my Hubby on the 17/8/23. Drinks took 10 mins to reach our table. Our meals were ok. They don't have much of a range of toppings for ya schnitzel. I watched one chef & he actually sneezed on the empty plates before serving meals. He wiped his sweat off his face with his hands then handled pieces of tomato & put on the salad. The new menu looks great. Had a couple of the snack items and the sticky lamb ribs are da bomb but in consistent with the portion size. Last week we got 7 very decent sized lamb ribs but this time we got 5 average sized lamb ribs. Seriously the best place to go with your family. Today was our 3rd trip to Waterloo Station Hotel. On Sundays they have Kids entertainment which means we can sit and relax and eat/ drink while the kids have an absolute ball. We travel from the western suburbs to come here. We ordered meals for pick up. They were available quickly and the service was friendly. The meals however were extremely disappointing. We ordered 3 x 180 gram eye fillet steaks. We received 3 x 105gm steaks. My meal was a steak with baked potato and coleslaw. Considering the price of $32, the attached picture shows the steak is half the advertised size, accompanied by half a potato, and 50 grams of coleslaw. We have attempted to support many businesses in our area. This one is now off our list.

Great place for dinner with children. Kids loved the ipad room and the toddler didn't want to leave the sensory room. Our food came out so quickly and was absolutely beautiful. Service was 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Love this place, has been my local for years, Tash is amazing and is always happy to see you. You open a new beer garden, and its closed most days/nights, wether there is 1 person in the garden or not it should be open. Very quiet and expensive nowadays way before the new owners and new beer garden would easily be 5 but the renovation made all the food $40 for a main! The schnitzels uses too come with it hanging off the edge of the plate and you have to ask too add free gravy too any meal now when before you had a gravy list. Won't be long before it shuts down due too, expensive.

I had a meal of beer batted kingfisher and it was a really great meal size and Quilty for its price. My partner had the rump stake he said that the rump was perfectly cook to his liking and the salad and chip that when with the meal when very well.

Lovely meal with friends. Ribs were sensational. Service was nice and they thoroughly checked our allergies which I appreciated. I must say the chairs were very uncomfortable so when you visit be sure to ask for a table with alternate chairs.

Typical pub fare at this place with food ranging from schnitzel to seafood. The serves were of a good size and came out quickly after ordering, tasted fresh and service was friendly. The only downside was the pasta meal in which the pasta was under cooked. Worth checking out.

Great beer garden but just a tad noisy with both lots of people's conversations and music through the speakers. Didn't like the seasoning in the chips but the chicken wings were good. Love it that beer gardens are coming back

Had lunch there today chicken snitzel was good my partner's $46 surf and turf tasted like bicarbonate soda it was so salty the garlic bread didn't even have a hint of garlic unfortunately won't be dining there again and won't recommend to friends

Here for the Melbourne Cup event in the Beer Garden. Amazing service, awesome food brought to our tables, drinks and sweep etc Well done to the Waterloo Station and all staff. Atmosphere here is awesome

Am not normally one to write reviews but I went in recently and the bistro area wasn't at capacity yet the line was so incredibly long to order food and when we did get our food it was a hot on the outside cold inside palmy. More money on product and less on the venue perhaps?

The food here is absolutely sensational. Everyone in our group was happy with what they got, I had the steak and it was cooked perfectly. The staff are super friendly, fun, and accommodating. The only complaint we had was that it was too hot inside as well as in the smokers area. Otherwise this was a great place for a dinner out.

Food was delicious but steak was quite cool. I guess from placing on a very cold plate. Chip in their own bowl were great

Went there today for a late lunch with my nephew and sister. Very clean and beautiful decor. Staff member Torie was super friendly and very accomodating. They have a playroom for the children decked out with books, tv and Ipads. Food was yummy. Can't wait to come back and enjoy a cocktail in the new beer garden :) More

Took just over 1 1hour to get my meal blaming the kitchen print out machine but my wife's order was done at the same time and she got hers long befor me. The girl in charge did her best but we won't be back in a hurry.
