When I was told my mom would meet her maker any day, I felt lost. Then I was asked if I had a funeral home in mind. Of course not, who does? My mom's death came so suddenly and unexpected that I wasn't ready for her going or for what came after. Anyways, my husband said "Weed Corley Fish Funerals, I heard they are pretty good". My mom passed the next morning..I called and the lady that answer was so sweet and told me not to worry about anything and Johnny would in touch. They came to take my mom with white gloves and all, right after Johnny called me to setup a time to meet. Once we met with Johnny, he made sure to stay in contact with me and made sure my mom's service ran smoothly. Everything was beautiful but the part that took me was how they prep my mom, she look so natural as if she was asleep. I have been to some services and let's just say people are unrecognizable but my mom look beautiful like a sleeping angel. A few days after the service, the staff followed up to ensure we didn't need anything. Johnny, I hope I do not have to use your services anytime soon but if I do, I know exactly who to contact. My sister-in-law and I went to Weed-Corley-Fish South Austin Funeral to plan and prepay our Mother's funeral. We met with Jon Hershey who walked us through the entire process and guided us in our decision making. He was very kind and thoughtful. Much of what we chose was the same as our Dad's funeral from years before. Jon was very respectful and helpful. Our Mother died about a month later. At that time, I was helped by Jim Panzarino, the funeral home director. What a kind, reassuring, helpful man he was. He guided me through some hiccups with the church, and let me know everything would work out and be just perfect. He was 100% correct. My mother's service was beautiful, thanks to the caring attention to detail of Jim Panzarino and the staff at Weed-Corley-Fish South Austin Funeral Home. I highly recommend them to anyone needing funeral or cremation services for a beloved. Everyone I encountered made everything so much easier for me and our family. Johnny Lack, at the south Congress location, went ABOVE and BEYOND all expectations and needs. He was truly caring, attentive, and willing to do anything to help take any burden or stress off our shoulders. I have never had to plan a service for anyone before, but have heard horror stories. Not once did I feel pressured, taken advantage of, or unimportant. He cared for my families needs and limits like anyone else, and made everything possible. Johnny Lack is not only a genuine and kind person, he truly takes care of the grieving families in a comforting, professional, and heartfelt way. Not ONCE did we feel pressured for any particular product, and he gave us exactly what we wanted and needed. His team, especially Linda, is also very kind and will go the extra mile. Though I would be happy to never have to see him again in a professional way, He and his team at Weed, Corley, Fish will be my first choice if an occasion ever presents itself.

My sister and I recently used Weed-Corley-Fish South to handle our mother's funeral, and we are so appreciative of how they handled the entire process. Johnny and all of the staff that helped us during the time were incredibly kind, professional, and considerate. We didn't plan on having a visitation at first, but they accommodated our last minute decision to have a visitation for two different family groups on two different days. They coordinated the service, which was held at my mom's church in Round Rock, and they transported her to the cemetery in Dallas where she was buried. Inger stayed with us at the gravesite and provided support and comfort until we were ready to go. The staff were wonderful during all of these events, and the process was seamless, allowing us the time and energy to say goodbye to our mom and lay her to rest in peace.

I would like to commend Rene and Jim at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home on S. Congress Ave.. My mother passed away on Dec. 10, 2019 and she had all her funeral arrangements in order. From the moment we walked in and talked about the services for my mother we were greeted with compassion and sincerity. I dealt with Paul Williams, a professional in every sense of the word. I have "buried" a few people in my lifetime, but this was the first time I was ever responsible for making the arrangements for the deceased. These people were absolutely wonderful, accommodating, and so understanding. I realize that it generally isn't customary to endorse a funeral home, but these guys are top shelf, first class. Weed Corley Fish Funeral Home on S Congress Ave in Austin, TX is a wonderful facility staffed with attentive and compassionate personnel. Our funeral director Johnny Lack and his administrative assistants provided much needed guidance and support regarding our son's funeral and cremation services. We were very pleased with the entire process and definitely recommend this facility to other families. I would also like to add that there is a wonderful boutique hotel, The Colton House, located right next door to the funeral home. This was a convenient and wonderful place to stay while planning and attending our son's funeral.

This is the second time my family has used Weed Corley Fish. I hope there won't be a third time, but if there were, I would employ these folks. They were calm and reassuring, explained everything clearly, applied no pressure, and made this very, very difficult experience that much more bearable. They struck just the right tone. Keia, the Funeral Director, was very easy to work with, was genuinely empathetic and sensitive, and not intrusive in any way whatsoever. Having to plan a funeral on short notice is an awful thing , and goes so much easier when you have a good team to work with.

My experience here was excellent. Weed Corley Fish offered compassion, gentleness, patience with such respect for the deceased. They may cost a bit more than others that mail the remains to you but I'm so thankful I went with them because they add a personal family touch that you can't get from a mail order. And they walk you through the process every step of the way which is very nice when you cannot think clearly to make decisions. They listen to all your desires and needs and they do not pressure you or try to upsell you. I highly recommend them and would go back when needed.

This place deserves more than 5 stars. They did so much for my family during such a hard time. Johnny was extremely kind, patient, helpful and informative. Kara helped while Johnny was away and the communication was always on point. I would recommend this funeral home to anyone. Simply amazing. In the fire service we say we meet people on the worst day of their lives. We'll these folks meet people dealing with that worst day and are compassionate, caring, understanding, professional, communicative, kind, and they really seem to care about each individual person that walks through their door and they seem to genuinely care about the deceased they oversee from start to finish and treat them with the utmost respect. I wish I never met them but I sure am glad I did...

Called and spoke with Connie, who was nice enough. However, we were quoted $3700 for the use of their small chapel only, with no services required. I explained that we would be hosting the Memorial Service ourselves and only needed the use of their premises, TV screen, etcetera for a small group of 10-12. Outrageously expensive, and three times the price I was quoted by other funeral homes in the Austin area. Who knew price gouging the dead and grieving could be so profitable?

Carisa was a warm kind funeral director who answered all of my questions and her sense of humor made my experience rather enjoyable and not all somber and depressing, given the subject matter. She provided all of the information I needed and patiently showed the all of the views of the urn choices - several times over while I made my decision on where my remains are to reside. with the sudden death of my brother I did not know where to go and after calling several funeral homes that were not helpful at all I ended up just walking into this funeral home and it was the best decision I could of ever made. It's always stressful to plan a funeral, but Rene Gonzalez made the experience much easier. He informed us of the many options available, listened to what we wanted, and made it all happen. Our family has had two services with Weed-Corley-Fish South - one with around 200 people, and another with fewer than 20, but the same care and attention was given to both.

Other than the length of time it took to get the cremation done(due to outside red tape I was told) the staff was kind courteous and very helpful. I had to arrange everything through my phone which added another layer of challenges. This was not the first time I used this company’s services. They have always provided a top notch level of service.
