I saw Dr. Weidmann for about 8 years and during that time he was always condescending and rude, at times downright mean and unprofessional. I was taught to believe in authority figures and not trust myself as much, or I would have left a lot sooner. During my yearly well woman's check up he put on a bright light headset and said, "Time to go cave diving." I was always scared to ask questions because he had the attitude that I couldn't possibly have a valuable insight into my own body. As someone who suffers from anxiety and depression, please know that we will not take the time to listen to you and figure out solutions. He will push meds. I was on so many meds at one point I can't even remember chunks of time. The kicker is when I found out that he was getting kickbacks for prescribing certain medications, and lo and behold, those are the ones he had put me on. I will say I learned how to stand up for myself from seeing him. At my last visit (for stomach pain), he told me I had an ulcer from an advil that got stuck in my gut lining and prescribed me PPI's (I had spent two years weaning myself off of them years earlier). I asked for proof? He looked at me like I was dumb, and he wondered why I was questioning him. I told him he had no proof and I would not go on another medication unless it was indicated. I ended up having a endoscopy and did NOT have an ulcer. I have since left his office and have spent the last 5 years trying to literally undo the damage caused by over-medication without any treatment of root causes. I would NOT recommend him.
I would strongly discourage seeing this physician. Pros: -Knowledgeable? Cons: -Rude and off-putting (30-minutes late with zero explanation) -- he also showed up in a spandex cycling suit underneath his lab coat; looking like a total clown with zero professionalism -Terse and "I have to be right" comments abounded -Gave me a fairly serious diagnosis (that was unexpected), and instead of being open to a question or two, he explained to me he was "very backed up and didn't have the time." -Literally ZERO bedside manner.
I've been seeing Dr. Weidmann for years! He's absolutely the best! Even when he clearly is extremely busy him and his nurse take their time to get to the bottom of what could be going on. He's kind, listens and always has advice besides the typical prescription. He's the best! He's a fit/healthy physician that tries to pass that along to his patients. I've recommended him to so many friends and they all say the exact thing. "He's all right and love hisbedside manners." He truly is breath of fresh air.
I have had weird (to me!) issues that I was afraid would be medically overmanaged, so to speak, but Dr. Weidmann and his staff are always knowledgeable and prudent. The intervention is not necessarily a new prescription, such as during the time he reminded me of preventative chiropractic-type exercises to manage an old injury. I am heard and helped, intuitively and respectfully. What more could one ask from medical professionals?
Excellent doctor! Dr. Weidmann has been my PCP for several years and I am very appreciative of his straightforward communication, thoughtful questions/responses, and helpful guidance/suggestions. It is clear that he truly cares about the holistic well-being of his patients and stays up to date on medical news and information. I would highly recommend Dr. Weidmann.
Dr. Weidmann is our family doctor and treats all members of our family (Myself, husband, son (17), daughter (16)) with utmost regard and respect. He is especially attendant and thorough, during my kids well-checks and covers mental health, as well as, physical health. I always feel rest-assured that we are all getting the best care, out there!
Odd experience, I'm a senior citizen and I can't remember ever hearing a doctor speak to me in such a rude manner. I think he is probably a good doctor but way too rude. Another friend tried him had a similar experience.
In addition to being about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes late, I found Dr. Weidmann to be pretty rude and impatient. Probably the least pleasant experience I've ever had with a doctor.
Very efficient professionals at this space. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. Doctor Widemann was referred to me by a friend, his holistic approach helped me a lot. Thank you
