"Good beer selection but be prepared to be harassed by people in the parking lot"
I just moved here from Dallas, Texas. I am a 50 year old black female and I thought this was a great location for me because the store is right across the street from where I live. I go to this store every day to get my daily essentials. The store worker is a Mexican man and he seemed very friendly until I noticed that he charges extra on my bill. I started asking for my receipt after every purchase and noticed he adds .50 or .75 or if an item is 2.99 he will ring up to 3.49 and then adds the tax at the end of my transaction. Just imagine if he is doing this to every customer, he is really getting over. I have not said anything to him as of yet because I want all the evidence I can gather on him because this is stealing. Sir, if you are reading this you should be ashamed of yourself and I am coming for you.
I DELEON JARMON AND MS. NATALIE ABRAM SIT ACROSS FROM THE STORE AND DRINK OUR BEER WITH THE RESIDENTS LIVING AT THE ROSEWOOD COURT APARTMENTS AND THE SALINA APARTMENTS AND EAT AT THE NUBIAN QUEEN LOLA PLACE. MS. NATALIE ABRAM WOULD ASK MONEY FROM THE CUSTOMERS AT THE STORE AND SOMETIMES ARRESTED FOR CRIMINAL TRESPASSING. MS. NATALIE ABRAM IS TO APPEAR IN COURT ON APRIL 23RD 2018 AT 2 P.M. AT THE TRAVIS COUNTY COURTHOUSE 1000 GUADALUPE ST. AUSTIN, TEXAS FOR A VIDEO POSTED ON DELEON JARMON FACEBOOK CONCERNING ALL THOSE INVOLVED IN THE DEATH OF OUR CHILD AND WHY SHE ALLOWED THESE PEOPLES TO FILL HER BACKPACK WITH BOOKS KNOWING I WOULD CARRY HER BELONGING WHICH CAUSE ME FOOT PROBLEMS AND NOW HAVING TO HAVE SURGERY. MS. NATALIE ABRAM IS WELL KNOWN IN THE AREA AMONG THE RESIDENTS OF THAT COMMUNITY.
It's a shame that you go just about anywhere to use the restroom and because you're black, they say it's broke. This man was about to let me use it then he double backed and said it was broke. How dare you put a store in a area that you are scared of letting someone use ur restroom, when everyone is not drug addicts or prostitutes but because my skin is dark you deny me to use the restroom. I'm a realtor and still I get discriminated against. It's the same for any black person, if we are not dressed up then we are nothing, it's like we have to wear our profession 24/7 in order to get some kind of respect. No Weapon Formed Against Me Shall Prosper!!!! No one should spend in your store, you look at your customers as if they have something, where is that OK?
Living in East Austin Community you would think that they would accept Snap which is considered food stamps since most of the community especially right across the street is housing projects how could they not accept focused most of the day they are customers and most of East Austin families receive SNAP benefits the children have the whole summer without income can go to the store or just right in front of there housing because of no income besides Snap.
Good beer selection but be prepared to be harassed by people in the parking lot. This is my neighborhood and instead of walking here I usually drive to one of the other stores a few blocks away. If they fix the loitering this would be a great spot.
Store has been here for a long time. Quick in and out service for the most part. Sometimes has people hanging out in the front asking for change. Not as bad as it use to be awhile back.
Usually great service. Nice friendly staff.
