We usually order sandwiches and they taste nice (definitely much better than Greggs!) and on occasion the sweet treats which have a nice variety of flavours. At one point they were doing a theme thing which brought in different types of sandwiches and pastries etc but they seemed to have stopped that and more variety of sandwich fillers would be nice. So regularly buy my own lunch and colleagues’ lunch from Wenzels. The pizza baguettes are well-liked so we used this branch to put through a bulk order of sandwiches and pizza for our monthly team meetings as it’s close to our office. I honestly would not bother ordering from Wenzels if it wasn’t for the manager there – Albertina. She has consistently made the whole process from start to finish so much easier and smoother. Each month I may need to change the food items but every time Albertina goes through the list with me to ensure the correct order will be made and discuss any requirements I may need. This attention to detail is why I keep using Wenzels for our meeting food. Other parts of the prep for my meeting are incredibly stressful for me but I know 100% that when I go and collect the food order, everything will be ready and organised exactly how I asked for it. On many occasions she has gone above and beyond to help with my order without me needing to ask, whether it’s providing cardboard boxes she may have in back so I can carry it all to my office or separating the food items and grouping them to help make it more presentable for my colleagues. I’ve even accidentally given her the wrong date but she was incredibly understanding about my error and continued to provide excellent customer service! Definitely will continue to use Wenzels.

Absolutely terrible service. Was given a chicken baguette after asking for a tuna baguette. Go back to get it swapped. One of the workers who had previously served me swapped the baguette without any issues. However another worker there asked me with full on attitude “if it was a chicken baguette why did you have a bite off the sandwich”. How am I supposed to know my tuna sandwich was a chicken sandwich and why would you ask me why I took a bite off my sandwich which I paid for and that too in such a rude and aggressive tone. Severely disappointed as this was my first time in Wenzels and it ended with a terrible experience with a rude worker. Please Wenzels educate your workers on how to treat customers after they make a mistake.

I always like Wenzel food and I hate leaving less than perfect reviews. Maybe the lady who served me was having a bad day. From the moment I walked in until I paid and collected my food, there was no hello or thank you from this person, no verbal exchange what so ever throughout. When she put my order through she was just standing there waiting for me to pay without saying anything, after that she left my food on the counter turned her back towards me. I walked out of there thinking ‘wow this is just rude’. I don’t expect you to go beyond to provide perfect customer service but this is a business and you do not want people to feel unwelcomed by this type of service

It was my first time visiting the store today. I was very impressed by the customer service I received from a lady called Feli. She kindly assisted me in choosing the right product that I would like. I would definitely recommend this place again!!!! Thank you for the amazing service. It is very refreshing to see that employees still care about their customers

I've been to or used Wenzel's here in Barnet a few times already either in person or via one of the numerous food delivery apps when I am busy working from home and I have always been very highly satisfied with the quality, taste, texture, and even where appropriate the temperature of my food and any drink as well. Completely copacetic; highly recommend!

A lovely blond woman (the manager?) suggested us a doughnut with jam - vegan. My vegan sister was sooooo impressed that she has regretted not buying a box to take it back to Italy aha She even tried to get it delivered to her but it's not an option! thank you for always being so kind, we need you in Barnet xxx

First visit, service was almost rude however my one complaint was that the 2 girls serving were having a conversation backing me but facing the doughnuts etc, which was only a few centimetres from their mouths! I think they should be wearing 'mouth coverings' to stop them spitting over the goodies they sell.

We always come here to buy bread breakfast with our dog today I walked in one team run towards the door and told me off not to come in with a dog he really scared me . I understand dogs not being allowed in but there is a kinder way to say to the customers . You lost a customer today. I won’t be coming back

Very disappointing!!! Order a ham and cheese panini which is charge 5.50 on deliveroo and this is what I receive. I do understand that food costs are increasing but sell a panini whith 3/4 slice of ham and bit of cheese, Is very ridiculous and a scam!!!

I ordered off Deliveroo, I had two items missing from my order. I called the store, the lady I spoke to was extremely unhelpful and hung up on me, which is why I will never be using Wenzels again. Maybe the staff need to rethink how they speak to their customers.

Absolutely brilliant bakery! Was served by Eva and her manager Albertina and the service was fantastic! The baked goods are very good and i would recommend getting the meal deal with their paninis, which are fantastic. Quick service - would highly recommend.

Asked for a bacon sandwich but got a baguette. The lady wouldn't change it as she said it was a sandwich. I had already paid so I had to take the sandwich. It would help if wenzels employed staff that can understand the English language.

Went in for two rolls one bacon and one sausage both looked raw and were freezing cold. Terrible service when there is an emtey shop and your left standing waiting around. How long does it take to put bacon or sausages in a roll!

A great addition to the High Street - Always top notch tasty food on every visit. The quality of the food far exceeds the price they charge. With friendly and great staff I cannot fault this place, more than just a bakery.

Order 40 quids worth of food and I order alot from here and they forgot my order but instead of them sending it they told me to order it again so pay twice and I'll get a free cake, last time I ever order from these

Not had a bad experience yet. Been there a dozen times and tend to get the same things. However their selection is pretty good and I always spend time looking. Staff always seem happy and helpful.

Called the bakery last minute for a sandwich platter and some pastries and Daina was so helpful and efficient. Excellent customer service and a lovely last minute platter!!!

Been a few times to Wenzels Barnet and couple of the staff are the rudest . Sour faces while serving won’t get you customers coming back and the goods are very average .

The olive sourdough does not taste like sourdough at all. It's not bad, the crust looks quit good but it he bread itself when you cut it is closer to soft white loaf.

Very friendly staff, especially Patty, great servise and super fast. And always fresh baguette and all other food and sandwiches. Recommending to all my friends.
