2022 Aug 5 @ 9.30 am - Would award ZERO stars if Google would allow it. I haven't used this self car wash in awhile & expected the minutes allotted per $ paid to have decreased; however, I did NOT expect the clock that shows the number of minutes remaining to be covered over so I had to keep running back to the control panel (don't know the correct term) to check the time. Also, I was extremely disappointed in 1) the time it took for the water to become hot enough & I'm certain I wasn't the first person to use that bay since there were fresh soap suds near the drain, 2) the ineffectual soap, and 3) lack of any warning sound to indicate there is only one minute remaining. Overall, I will be checking other car washes in my area before, if ever, I return to Western Pride (they should look up the meaning of this word :( Car Wash.
My husband was waiting in line this morning to vacuum & wash our vehicle. While waiting, he decided to put on a new wiper which he had purchased a few days prior. The owner of this car wash came out of the office yelling at him, stating it wasn't a mechanic shop and he needs to move along asap. There was still a car in the bay in front of him - literally shooing him away from his business. I can absolutely understand you don't want people doing repairs in your parking lot, but that was hardly the case. It was unfortunate the way he spoke down to my husband and the way he approached the situation, he could have had the same conversation in a much more professional manner. We take all of our vehicles here weekly, but after today we will not be back.
I frequent use this car wash. Recently came in for a wash, paid for a rinse, then a soap, then intended to pay for a rinse again. Once soaped up I broke out a microfiber to give it a quick wipe down in the bay otherwise the car remains filthy despite the pressure wash. While wiping down I was told I wasn't allowed to touch wash in there despite 8 of the other bays being open at the time and I was paying to use their products. Not sure what the point is of a car wash if you can't wash, and yes it would be incredibly stupid to leave the bay to the "detail area" with a soapy vehicle. It's not like I was hindering anyone; nobody else was there. As well, the exit is so steep that if you drive a somewhat low vehicle you will scrape.
Used to go here all the time and it was great, stopped on tonight for the first time in awhile and holy moly it has gotten EXPENSIVE. It cost me more than twice as much as it used to and the only item that was working properly was the high pressure gun. The low pressure gun was barely spitting out prewash and the carpet brush barely puts out any soap at all. When I went to put it back it was clear why - the lines are super leaky. It's really unfortunate that it has become such a waste of money to go here. Also they say they take tap but the machine refused to take any of my cards and Google pay, I tried multiple bays. Bring cash, and a lot of it. Personally, I won't be coming back.
I went to Western Pride Car Wash the other evening to do some minor detailing in my car. This is the first time I've ever done any kind of car work and the gentleman there was extremely helpful and kind. He was able to recommend which products to use for which surfaces and gave me additional instructions for safe storage of the cleaning chemicals. He never pushed for me to buy expensive product or service, and checked in on me while I was working to make sure I was doing alright. This gentleman went above and beyond my expectations and I will be returning to Western Pride for all detailing and car wash services.
The guys who did the detailing at Western Pride, Richmond Road did an over the top amazing job, not just a good job. I walked past my vehicle as I did not recognise the sparkling outside. I asked them to deal with a smell and they hesitatingly pulled out some old smelly grocery meat that had slipped between seats. But their attention to detail was the noticeable thing: detailing here means a class act job. The guys were not only amazingly good at their job, but personable, professional and skilled. My first time there but I will be a regular now. Team gold for Western Pride in my view.
Today Sunday August 16 2020 was my 1st time here. One of the attendants was so helpful. Very helpful to me. The only thing is it is quite expensive. Though it is $2 for 2 minutes, the time runs so dang fast! Otherwise, it looks clean, busy and 3 guys man that place... plus you can pump up your tires as well, which the guy who helped me also did. He was such a nice dude and pointed out to me that I need to pump up my tires. He showed me how. All 3 attendants look friendly and helpful though. My preferred place is still the self wash opposite Deerfoot City but now I live down South.
Absolutely the BEST CAR WASH in Calgary! I have driven from the complete opposite end of the city just to wash my car at this location. It is a 24hr facility with individual wash bays. The bays are always tidy and the wash systems are constantly being upgraded and improved. During regular business hours, the staff are extremely helpful. This business is one of the last remaining car washes that actually seems to care about customers and performance. If you're not happy, they will do what they can to correct that. This is the only car wash in Calgary I will forever use.
Generally I like this car wash and use it frequently as it is convenient. What I don't like is that, even in cold weather or strong winds, they block the overhead doors from being closed. When the wind blows from the north you get cold wind and water in your face when washing the front of your vehicle. Unfortunately they seem more interested in pushing through as many cars as possible and pay no interest to the comfort of their customers. ... Update, I was able to close the south overhead door today to keep the wind down. Thanks!!!
I have been coming here for years and have spent hundreds of dollars a month detailing my vehicles as well as my family. We have never had an issue until Ian I believe his name was (he didn’t speak clearly) got arrogant with me for being there for 45 minutes cleaning my vehicle despite being a paying customer and no line up. He didn’t want me there as he said I was spending too much time in there. I must say that this is very disappointing and that this car wash has lost mine and my families business due to his arrogant attitude.
No western pride here. Unhelpful, and disrespectful staff. Dirty stalls. Poor cold water pressure. My car got more dirty after being here, one stall was caked with 3” and 5 to 8”of blobs of clay-mud. My shoes were gross after. Attendant reactive, belittling comments, “it’s a car wash” after I raised concerns. My point being should be maintained/cleaned so people can clean their cars, not get dirtier. After my attempt at cleaning, I didn’t stick around to debate, and just pleasantly left. Not to return, life is too short.
I'm actually impressed with this car wash, very much so. The water pressure isn't as strong as other places but the products seem to do the job better, especially the wax function gave my car a nice shine. I'd typically expect that kind of shine with a contact wash. Many places claim to have spotless rinse but they end up drying into spots, unlike this car wash's spotless rinse which actually left ZERO spots. I did not even dry my car, just drove away as I was in a rush. Top quality stuff, would recommend.
My detailing experience here was abysmal. No one was available at my appointment time to start the detail, and when someone finally came to assist me, they tried to charge me more than the price I was given over the phone. When I got the car back it had been poorly detailed at best - surfaces hadn’t been wiped down, there were sections of carpet that weren’t vacuumed, etc, despite these things being part of my package. I would never go back.
I usually come here but lately I've been extremely frustrated as to the fact that when I go from high pressure soap to rinse, the soap never stops coming out and I'm left with no choice but to either waste money on attempting to rinse longer or leave with soap on my car. But after 2 minutes of rinsing and soap still spraying... I'm pretty sure it's not just soap left in the lines... So unbelievably frustrating if you're a clean freak.
No digital reading like most of the new self car washes. Don't really get a lot of time either. Good thing is it takes credit cards but a min of $4 also I got a voucher from Honda West went there for the touchless carwash after I was done the siding to my door was practically peeled off and I’ve been to a dozen car washes I always inspect my car after car wash and noticed it not happy about this
Just picked my car up after a silver wash detail package and it looks incredible. Highly recommend these guys, they know what they are doing and are very thorough. I had a stain in the trunk of my other car and the lovely gentleman working there came out and gave me advise on how to get it out. It worked perfectly. Can’t recommend them enough! Will be taking my other car there for sure!
Best coin op car wash I ever been too. Having that high pressure air hose to blow away dirt from hard to reach places and blows waters outta the carpets mats is a game changer. Along with a vacuum, foam brush, tire air hose, another blow dryer for the exterior car wash and actual warm water from the pressure hose all inside the bay, you are killing a few birds with a toonie at ease.
A 24 hour car wash must take steps to make sure their change machines are in good working order. Moreover, the change machine has no contact number printed on it in eventualities such as this. This station failed in these basic tasks and is the reason I register only 2 stars. The services otherwise appear adequate, but after losing my 10 note Ive decided to go else where.
Great wash. Clean, well maintained, lots of bays. Only qualms are the vacuum in the bays doesn’t seem to last nearly as long as the stand alone ones in the lot. Also when paying by card, the timer starts at 2 seconds, but pressure doesn’t come out until at least 5. Minor, I know, but for the amount I wash my vehicles it adds up. Wouldn’t deter me from going though.
Was in the area and needed a wash. Very little pressure, there was still a film of dirt on my truck after a 20 dollar wash that I could remove with my fingers. Spot free rinse didn't work, foam gun barely worked. Can't beleive how busy it was for how poor quality it is. Only good thing about the location is that the bays were very clean. Will not be returning.
Great place to be harassed. Rinsed and sprayed soap on and started scrubbing with a sponge. They were on me in 30 seconds. Started the clock again and one came after me until I told him the clock was running. Presumably you're not allowed to dry your car either. They don't seem to understand the concept of car care. You're in the wrong business a$$holes.
I like this one almost as much as Heritage - although equal in cleanliness and accessibility of bays, this facility is noticabley more expensive and its much further from my neighborhood. However, it is open 24/7, which when you have a hankering to wash your vehicle at 3 or 4am, is well-worth the premium exacted. My favorite answer to periodic insomnia.
Minimum amount to start is $2 perhaps you don’t have coins then near the office there’s a machine that you can convert your paper bill into coins. You need to plan ahead because 2 dollars is equivalent to two minutes in continuous working if you don’t the count down won’t stop so it’s better to prepare everything before you start your car washing
Used to be my favourite in the city. Soap is good and lots of room to dry. They raised their prices way too much though. I can barely wash my car for $10 in change. There are much better places in Calgary with at least as good sprayers/soap for a better price. Some even have free undercarriage wash. Good place, they just started charging way too much.
My 2 year old son managed to drag a magnet down the passenger side of my vehicle and left a spectacular scratch on it. Rob and his team performed an excellent detail / power polishing job and brought My Fairlady Z, back to her pre-scratch glory! Thanks so much guys... I will be sure to keep an eye on the boy and the magnets out of his hands. :)
I had a Gold package cleaning carried out on my mid-sized SUV and I couldn't be more impressed. My vehicle was spotless and looked amazing. It went in quite dirty as I hadn't had an opportunity to clean it in over a year. I had forgotten how nice it is to get into a clean vehicle. I would highly recommend Car Cleaning Calgary's services.
It's ok. The presoak did not work today and pressure for rinse is not as good as the competitors. Unique about this place and also the reason why I go here once in a while is the pressurized air. Very good option that every car wash should have. Overall it's better than the ones around. In other words... best in and around signal hill.
Good water pressure, generous on the soap spray, and plenty of bays. I was referred to this place through a voucher I received from Honda West. Really wish I found out about this car wash earlier when I moved to the southwest. It is a little pricier than other self-serves I have been to but the quality of the sprayers are top-notch.
Wouldn't accept my Visa/debit.... No biggie. I used to be able to do a (sedan) Rinse then quickly get the foam brush happening, toss another loonie in, scrub away for a few minutes, then Rinse off and spot free Rinse for $5 total. Double that with an SUV! Add another $2 for the wheel scrubbie. Good wash tho, always has been.
Pretty good carwash. Has everything that you need to clean your vehicle.. it is a busy location but there are a lot of individual bays. Hot water to wash and rinse but the pressure isn't great. The bays are somewhat clean but it's that time of year so maybe it's cleaner in the summer months. I'll visit this location again.
Great Car Wash. Fully Equiped Car wash. Credit card accepted Coin accepted (I Rarely use coin) High preasure wash Foam Shampoo Foam Wax High pressure wide / spot dryer All the equipemnt possibly ask for. With recent 24hour wash, I go in late and take my time. I was there 930pm 2021 Jan 17. I did not meet or saw employee
For decades Western Pride Car Wash has been the go to for car washes having updated technology in their wash bays and high quality equipment from vacuum cleaners to brushes and hoses. I like mat clips on both sides of the bays. Quality, price value, cleanliness and hours of operation make WPCW a great choice.
Ok car wash but it’s always freezing as owners are too cheap to allow doors to close despite their ads of washing car keeping warm. Pre-soak also literally does nothing to your car. Dirt stays on so you scratch it when you get to the wand, that's if you can even hold the wand as ice had built all over it.
I was thoroughly impressed with this car wash. There was someone directing cars into stalls so I didn't wait at all. Also, the stalls were clean & well maintained. The prices were the same as other locations but unlike other car washes, there was actual product (soap or wax) for each step of the process.
Not a bad carwash at all. Lots of bays and will get really busy on those warm days but the line moves reasonably well. They have vacuums just outside the bays if a person needs that sort of thing and for a person who doesn't want to get their hands wet I believe there are one or two fully automatic bays.
Just recently started going to this place. Great car wash, the attendant was helpful and nice. You don't need change, can tap your phone or card while in the bay. Only thing that kinda sucked was the presoak foam (think that's what it's called) ran out but other than that it was a good experience.
A nice place to bring your car for a thorough wash. Your coins seem to go a long way here, and you can pay with your credit card too. Lots of bays, vacuums, everything you'd need. Not usually too busy on weekdays, however it can sometimes be a game of luck to get in on a warm Saturday or Sunday.
Lots of bats and a long line up but people are taking their own sweet time to read and then remove the money and then decide to wash etc. People who came after me finished & drive out before I could even enter the bay. The assistant is allowing anybody to barg in the queue from behind our cars.
Automatic Bay doors just push the button. Closes automatically. Convenience store and other stores nearby. Air for tires inside wash bays. Foamy brush and Matt hooks. Wheel/bug brush, high pressure air for drying Matt's blowing vents, hand held air dryer to dry vehicles. Shopping malls nearby.
Went there recently with my truck in the bay closest to the kiosk. I like to use the foam brush. The brush is so worn out (unknown to me) it has completed scratched up my 1 year old truck. It scratched up my windshield so badly that I can barely see out of it when the sun is on it.
My car was very messy, with kids and a dog. They were able to get me in the morning I called, which I was very impressed with. The result was beyond my expectations, my car looks better than new! They even washed the outside which I didn't know was included in my price!
Very much enjoyed my experience with Western Pride. They did an excellent job with customer service from the booking the appointment right until the end when i picked up my car. Was very impressed with the great job they did on my vehicle. Highly recommend them!
Very poorly run business, came by this morning and 4 bays were in use and the rest were all locked and unusable. Why have all those bays if people can’t use them? Making customers wait when they don’t have to makes no sense. Left and went somewhere else.
I've been meaning to pressure wash my floor mats since I bought my car, finally took it here today and it was the best decision I've ever made. They're got a credit card payment option so you don't have to burn through all of your loonies and toonies.
Great value for the money and staff is nice. The wash options are plentiful and there are lots of spots to dry and detail. The exit is the reason 2 stars went away; painfully sharp blind turns and the slope on the way out will decimate your front end.
Asked the attendant inside to enable the doors so they could be closed due to winds and cold temperature. Was told the owner controls this. When I suggested he reach out to the owner, he just gave me a blank look and doesn’t care attitude.
More than a few times the amount shown to be charged at the car wash is different than what I am charged on my credit card when I check my bank statement. Only a .50 cent to 1.50cent variation be nonetheless has happened many times over.
Decent car wash, hit n miss with pressure in some bays so it just tinkles water onto the car. Soap doesn't seem to be as good as other car washes. Very short exiting, IV seen suvs and trucks hit the garage because of tight turns.
Their touch less cae wash is terrible. I tried it twice but after every wash, dirt/mud was not cleaned. They need to upgrade it. I spent 26 in 2 washes then have to rewash car by myself again. Avoid touchless manual wash is ok.
Very good car wash with the option to use credit card for payment. Sometimes it is very busy and it can be a log wait time to get into the stall. Otherwise they seem to keep the equipment up so everything is usually working.
I regularly go to Western Pride Car Wash. I appreciate the full service at the automatic car wash bay. The service attendant me always go above and beyond to ensure my car is clean. I highly recommend Western Pride Car Wash.
The young gentleman that works there is just phenomenal. The owners are lucky to have him work there. When my wife dropped 9L of laundry detergent in the back seat he guided me on how I can go about extracting it all out.
We use this car wash all the time and love it however on our last visit they seem to have turned down the water pressure on the wands and the soap dispenser so now it takes more time and this is coin operated on time.....
I got the Gold package detailing service done on my Honda Ridgeline in December and they did a meticulous job. It was like brand new when I picked it up. Very professional and friendly business. I highly recommend !
The prices have gone way up recently and they put tape over the time counter in a lame attempt to try and hide how much time you are buying. Just makes it harder to know how long you have left to wash your vehicle.
Affordable and lots of bays. Wax and soap work good and sprays hot water. If you have to wait in line you may be one of the lucky people who get to watch others scratch their vehicle everywhere with the tire brush.
Been washing my car here for years. Awesome! Love that it's 24 hours. 12 bays so the wait time is never terrible. One of the staff detailers recommended I use wax to remove iron stains, worked very well!
Probably one of my top 2 favorite car washes in Calgary. Staff that is very helpful they have even helped me wash may car sometimes (have built a relationship with them). Individual large bays. Reliable.
It's fine, but when compared to Serve Pro near my work, it's not as good, and I think they have been raising their prices slowly (there are cheaper places)...I now try to avoid this one if I can.
Western Pride - Richmond Road I had my first car detail today. They did a wonderful job. They were professional, personable, caring and accommodating from booking the appointment to the finish.
Spent 36$ used all the options and yet car was not cleaned i believe the products they use are not high grade. Car was not only cleaned but a lot of scratches even after rinsing the soap brush.
My go-to Car Wash because it is open 24/7 and it is clean and there are plenty of stalls as well as easy entry and exit. Also I have never had a problem receiving change from the coin dispenser
Many options, including the ability to blow things dry with compressed air. Great for cleaning motorbike seats afyer a wash. Coin or credit works, and many bays mean the wait is usually short.
Usually spaces available, credit card readers always work. High pressure, clean, everything always works as it should. Better value than other washes. Always a good experience. Open very late.
This carwash is a great option if you live on the west side of the city. Stalls are clean and kept that way by the staff on site. Normally not a big wait as there are a good number of stalls.
Such great facilities - my car came out squeaky clean :) shout out to the gentleman staff member who helped me when the machine wouldn’t take my credit card. Appreciate that customer service.
Lots of wash bays so the wait is minimal if any at all. The bays are keep clean. The only issue I have is exiting the bays in winter. The ice build up on back lane make for a slipper exit.
Love love love! I used the self service vacuums and they have a nozzle that sprays air so you can get under your seats, crevices and vents. Cleanest I have ever been able to get my car.
Hands down the best car wash I’ve ever been to in Canada!! The touchless car wash never disappoints and leaves my vehicle sparkling for weeks Not to mention the amazing service! …
Very well equipped car wash. It has your usual car wash accessories along with a dedicated wheel/tire brush and a air blower to blow out dust and debris that might be inside your car.
Pricing is wrong on the website. If you don't opt for a certain touchless option, you don't even get a blow dryer. The absolute worst touchless wash I've ever experienced in my life.
$2 minimum and cuts off very fast. This was my first and last time here, there are lots of other car washes that don't rip you off. Had to spend $8 to do what I normally do for $3.
Great location. Always well maintained and now that it accepts credit cards it is much more convenient. It is a busy car wash so keep your eye peeled for a good time to come.
Ok car wash, about a buck a minute. My bay had a faulty bug brush which wasted a bunch of time figuring out it did not work. On the clock of course. Otherwise acceptable.
The water pressure is like using a garden hose. My car wasn't much cleaner coming out and that was after stuffing $12.00 worth of coins into it. Now I know, never again.
My favorite car wash. Everything works great. There are a lot of bays so you never have to wait long. I like that they still use coins. I'm able to wash my car for $5 !
Love this car wash. It has so many car ports so you are never in line for too long. They take VISA/Mastercard/VISA Debit and even have an outside dog wash (for summer).
I spent $2.75 on a quick rinse over the truck and my credit card was charged $5.00. Pretty dishonest. I would only use loonies and toonies. Don't use your credit card !
One of the cheaper car washes I know in Calgary. If you love washing your own car I recomend this spot. It is open 24hours but can get fairly busy when it is nice out!
To busy and not very good pressure and small bays. They charge yiur credit card 24.95 for a 5 dollar wash and then goes from 5.15 to 6 bucks when u press finish. .
Awesome local car wash! Well maintained, lots of soap, brush, wax options etc. Optional services like detail and auto wash aswell. Great spot to clean your ride.
They have air blowers for interior and exterior. All the wax, soap mop, rinse, and vacuum features 24hrs a day. And you can pay in the washbay with tap! Love it!
Great car wash with awesome bays. Strong washing wands and this place does not skimp out on the soap like other places. Lots of room to park after and wipe down.
Great car wash has everything you need for a great cleaning the water lasts long your toonie is well worth it .Also there's plenty of wash bays & staff on hand.
Love how you can wash your own car here how you want it, whenever you want it, while keeping your wallet intact. 5 dollars keeping my car spotless, sign me up!
Surprisingly good. Needed a quick soap and rinse after a muddy day, only cost a few bucks. Credit card machine works reliably. In and out for a good price
My daughter’s boyfriend was robbed last night (7:30pm) while washing his truck. His tools were stolen too (he’s an electrician). Be careful out there.
Like the fact that I could pay via credit card based on time used. Water pressure was pretty good - much better than Mile Wide car wash on 17th ave.
$2 minimum isn't bad enough... $4 doesn't get you 4 minutes. Will go back to using Mile Wide Car wash on 17th Ave, you get more bang for your buck
My main place to wash my vehicle. Can be busy on hot days but that is because the prices are reasonable and they’ve got lots of options.
The guy work there he was not allowed me to clean my side view mirror with tissue after washing my car I was trying to clean and dry.
Pay by toonies or credit card. Lots of wash options on the dial. Really appreciated the tire brush. Streak free rinse worked well
I love how conveniently located this car wash is. Their prices are really good too. Definitely recommend this place!
Great car wash. New (to me) vacuum equipment, tire brushes and spray options have bumped my rating from a 4 to a 5.
Convenient timing, excellent price and fast turnaround with job well done. Very claims they made is true.
Didn't really clean my car. Not enough pressure and some of the functions don't work. I won't be back.
If you could close the doors when it's windey and if the pressure was stronger I would give it 5/5
the vacuum cleaner for cleaning the interior with water did not work. Impossible to clean interior
I like the wand wash, lots of bays, all equipment worked well. Have used this business many times
3 out 4 tires needed air. Great service they checked and filled all the tires for 5 bucks.
