This is an urban park surrounded by large buildings and busy streets; it does a great job for what it was designed for to be an urban park. It does not have a lot of space but it can be a great venue for a medium size concert. Or celebrate Christmas with a lot of cool decorations. It’s a small but functional people’s park.
Dog-friendliness
Sure dog’s on a leash.
Picnic area
The tables are kind of small. They work for at least four people.

Wonderful little park with plenty of seating to enjoy the city and eat. This place is a little break from city life. I especially enjoyed the lights and decorations for Valentine’s Day and the big chess board was popular tonight. I did not see many homeless people around. I felt safe with security nearby as well as a free COVID testing tent.

Nice park and square in the middle of a busy city. Urbanistically well-designed space is sad and dangerous because of the homeless people who live here. If this problem were solved, it would certainly be one of the best squares in Seattle. And people would use it not only as a transit hub or place for protests.

I love this area and it's surrounding. Unfortunately it is nowadays infested with homeless issue and continued sound of police siren. But still, you can seat and watch people pass by you and also hear the sound of water to calm your senses. You can play table tennis or chess sitting here all day.

Enjoyable experience. Natural environment in the city. Walking/running trail, bike trail, seating to enjoy the water and sunset or watch the boats and ships. Many art sculptures. We rented the lime bikes and rode through the park. Fun experience. Friendly atmosphere.

It is a city park that comes alives in all seasons!! its at its best during Christmas where the entire park is lit up. they also have a carousel during Christmas. absolutely no parking available near the park. you will need to find nearby parking garages for parking.

I catch the bus here when I get off work. I love how they decorate! There's usually homeless people wandering around here.. But they mostly keep to there self.. One guy came up to me and I told him I didn't have any money but I have food he

The place is very nice, but quite small. One of the best spot for coffee and gossiping! I have seen some peaceful protests against the genocide in Palestine on Saturdays! The place always consists of variety of people and activities!

Great place for Christmas Shopping, Fine Dining and Family Christmas photos or Selfies! Also the family that owns Westlake is a very honorable family. There is very good energy around that place especially this time of year!

This is a nice clean environment that you could go walk your kids, nice picnic area, dog-friendliness, beautiful safe playground and you could also use the restroom if you like......very nice place you would love it.

Beautifully lighted for the end of year celebrations. When I visited the park I felt safe. A lot of people visited the park while I was there. Thank goodness for a cleanup of the area. Such a beautiful spot for now

Good place to relax and sit down and people watch. There's friendly staff cleaning tables, very well organized. There are sometimes food trucks here, so it's a good place to pick up a bite to eat too.

I’m not a shopper but if I have to go to a “mall” for Seattles Christmas tree lighting, so be it! The atmosphere was amazing and the entertainment was first rate. The crowd was festive and jolly!

A nice Christmas stroll through this is really nice and festive. They have the Christmas tree up and Christmas lights in the square. Quite nice to walk around and take a deep breath and enjoy.

I cherish this park. The Seattle MID downtown Ambassadors maintain a clean, drug- and cigarette-free environment where there is always something going on. You guys do great work, keep it up!

Park area in the centre of downtown with a number of seating places to chat and spend time in a good weather. It's nice place to sit around with others, not really safe place though.

Had a blast here listening to Christmas music and people watching this weekend. The lights are beautiful, the security was friendly and the convenience to shopping was very helpful!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... In Westlake Park... Where the freaks come out at night. Late night. Don't go unless you know!

Point83 meet at Westlake Park, ride bikes explore the city meet new people. Every Thursday night at 7:30pm rain or shine.

Went for the tree lighting ceremony but the protesters postponed that so we left... so that was unfortunate
