I recently visited this pub that I found to be a great spot to unwind with friends after a long day. The pub had a lot of things going for it, including a nice outdoor seating area, friendly staff, spacious interior, delicious food, and a lively atmosphere. One of the things that stood out about the pub was the outdoor seating area. The seating was comfortable, and there were plenty of tables and chairs available. Additionally, the staff were attentive and made sure that our orders were taken promptly. The pub's interior was also spacious, with plenty of seating available both indoors and outdoors. Despite being busy, it never felt overcrowded or claustrophobic. The decor was stylish and modern, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The food at the pub was excellent. We ordered a few different dishes to share, and everything was delicious. The menu was varied, with a good selection of classic pub fare and more contemporary options. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. The staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. They were attentive without being intrusive, and they always made sure that we had everything we needed. Overall, I would highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for a vibrant and busy spot to enjoy good food, drinks, and company. The outdoor seating, friendly staff, and spacious interior make it a great spot for groups of all sizes, and the delicious food and lively atmosphere are sure to make it a favorite among pub-goers.
Sunday lunch was pretty reasonable...big Yorkshire pudding, nice slice of beef. I would've liked a little more meat and much more veggies. The veggies were lovely, but only a small spoonful of each. At £20 for the beef, I feel that an extra spoonful of veg wouldn't be too much to ask for. The major let down was the service. We had booked ahead and arrived on time at 13.15. Although there were free tables, the team seemed to struggle to seat us so we were left waiting for about 5 minutes before being sent upstairs where we had to wait again before being pointed to one if the many vacant tables which did not have a reserved sign on. We took a quick look at the menu and went straight back to order only to be told that the kitchen weren't taking any orders and that it might be a 20 minute wait...but he couldn't be sure. No reason was given or real apology. After about 15 minutes were were told we could now order and the food then arrived within 20 minutes. We don't mind a bit if a wait, but would have appreciated a bit more customer service and communication. Maybe telling us when we arrive that there are problems, or offering to take the order and put it through when he could or even just to call us over so we wouldn't have to queue again but we had to ask to be told when we could order. Shame that this really made us feel unwelcome.

Westow House resides in a gorgeous hilltop location of Crystal Palace with a beautiful view of Crystal Palace Park. The pub is spacious with plenty of cosy seating, courteous staff, and delicious food and drink. The pub's landlord Dan is a very friendly gentleman who's always warm and welcoming to guests. His chef offers a wonderful assortment of dinner menu options that always satisfy my appetite. I cannot recommend this pub enough. You will be happy you stopped in.

Easter Sunday Lunch was a delight. There was a nice atmosphere. We were seated in the library which had doors opening onto the outdoor seating area. We are a family of four and all chose different roasts which were tasty plentiful and well cooked with offers of extra gravy, plenty of vegetables lovely roasties. The staff were quick and responsive, the manager was on the ball but lovely and kind to our 7 year old. The pub had paid for a fantastic person to come and face paint which was free to us as a family. Really nice touch. Would definitely recommend, nice and close to Crystal Park and caravan site. We will be back!

Great value
Chose to stay here over the unappealing travel lodge - Sunday/Monday deal found on the website. The booking, check in all smooth and professional for a very busy Easter Sunday. I’ve stayed in many terrible hotel rooms but this was very clean, well decorated and tucked away on top floor. There are several flights of stairs but even I could manage with some disability and probably very good for me. There is parking at nearby Sainsbury but we used the pretty safe streets as we know the area. Very close to the station and the park. You are in the heart of the Crystal Palace Triangle with lots of eateries and an Everyman Theatre. But for me, the staff were really helpful and impressive.

Managed to snag the last room over the Easter weekend. The staff were really welcoming and the atmosphere was very chill. I also had dinner there. I had the fish and chips and it was amazing. Would highly recommend a vist.

Room was very nice. Twin room at the top of the building (no lift) was just what we needed. The beds were comfy and a decent sized bathroom. The only thing of note is if you are a shorter person getting into the very deep bath can be tricky but they do provide a bathmat.

Ambience is great as ever. I tried the "pubdesking", which was quite nice. It was just a pity that both the website and confirmation email state that an after-work pint is included in the £15 fee. However, when asking about this at the pub, it was mentioned that this was not the case and that I would need to pay £4 extra. When I mentioned that this was not completely fair compared to what is offered online, the staff member got offended and seemed to be very uninterested in communicating this to his manager. This was a real unfortunate ending of quite a nice day. I feel that this does make the pubdesking offer less attractive.
I really love this pub… it’s in an excellent location with great transport links - Crystal Palace station 5 minutes walk, Gypsy Hill station 10-15 minutes walk and a good choice of buses. The food is a little pricey but well worth it! Excellent choice of spirits, beers/ales, cocktails and soft drinks. They have private function rooms for hire and you can bring a wireless speaker for music if you desire. As it is a public house children have to be off the premises at 9pm due to licensing. I would wholeheartedly recommend this venue.

Such a lovely establishment. My partner and I stayed here recently and everything was tip top. The rooms were well furnished and the public house downstairs was bustling with good cheer. We ate there on many an occasion and found the food to be of the highest quality and teaming with flavour. Please pass my compliments to the chef. All round a perfect stay, thank you to Dan and the team for looking after us so well. Yours truly Thomas Richards

Had my family Christmas gathering here and we had our own private room, which was great. Had a mix up with our food order but the manageress sorted out promptly which turned what could have been a very bad experience into a great one! when the food did finally arrive it was definitely worth the wait! lovely food!! (i had the burger ) Great staff, great customer service and lovely atmosphere. The young guy behind the bar was brilliant too I will definitely be back again. Thank you Westow House for being so accommodating! I highly recommend!
Good quizzes and friendly staff. Lots of space, good beers on tap and always get a table. That said, >£15 for a very small vegan burger and fries and not much else feels like robbery and is probably 80%+ margin for them. Could throw some onion rings, double up the small burger patty or add more vegan cheese to beef it up to a regular burger size/fillingness. I shouldn't be hungry again an hour or two later for a pub burger

The room was nice. I dont think the room had been hoovered, there was someone else's hair all over the bathroom floor. Bathroom otherwise was clean. Bed was comfortable. The traffic noise is pretty constant throughout the night. Selection of tea and coffee. I didn't eat downstairs or interact with many staff. But the place is good value for Crystal Palace. As a solo traveller I felt safe.

Nice pub and hotel! Location is great. Only downside is single glazed windows mean the room was chilly, especially the tiled floor. Also a little noisy in the evenings so rooms on the back are better for this. Lovely decor and facilities. Breakfast was good, but service was a little slow! Pub is super busy in the evenings!

Room wasn't cleaned throughout my whole stay. AC was broken, it was absolutely boiling so barely slept for two nights. It didn't get fixed and I wasn't offered another room. Not a great experience. Food at the pub is nothing special. Beds are comfy and rooms are stylish but missing essential things like a wardrobe and mirror. Overpriced in my view.

Great stay would return again. Rooms are good size and comfortable. Decor was nice too. Bathroom was great with powerful hot shower. Toiletries too. Only downside was our room was adjacent to a large extractor outlet, which was noisy 247 so if a light sleeper you would need earplugs. Can’t comment on the pub itself for this trip but have been in the past for quiz and Christmas carols and has always been great!
Great place for food and drink reasonably priced and fast service we stopped in before a gig on a busy Saturday and were seated quickly, great range on the menu and good range of non alcoholic beers. Friendly service and happy to make changes to our orders. Right next to crystal palace park so great location too

Disappointed with my room. Whilst it was clean, the quality of the bedding and mattress was poor. Stains on the duvet and pillow cases, did not fill me with confidence. The carpet and general quality of the furniture in the room was not great.

Needs a refresh. Dated.
I didn't stay in any rooms but had a drink. The atmosphere is welcoming. The staff are nice. At the time they hadn't had the full menu of drinks as delivery issues. The bar could be made a bit larger as people tend to stay at the bar drinking and taking the space. Otherwise nice pub.

Good for a Saturday lunch with a healthy selection of meals. Had the burger with chips and extra bacon, definitely a safe pick and tasted great. Pub looks good with a nice feel to it, Seating is good inside and out. Only thing I would say was annoying was you could only order drinks using the qr code, you had to go to the bar to order food.
Family & friends visit. Food was good, decent portions. The gravy was too full on. Flavour was okay. Desserts menu not enough choice but what was on offer was good. Bit over priced definately a treat. Would recomend! Quite busy which is a plus. Well done Westow.

Fantastic to get use of the upstairs function room for my son's bday party. What a space. Phoebe and the rest of the staff were excellent as always. We followed up with lunch and myself and the wider family all enjoyed our excellent roast dinners. Thanks for helping to make the day go so smoothly!
I’m local and usually love to go there to eat and having a pint. But tonight I ordered a Burger as usual which for me was always the best I had but guys what happened?! The quality and presentation went really down and the price went up. Definitely is not a £15.50 for what a got. Disappointed.
Nice pub. Everything well presented. Nothing not to like really. Beers good, staff nice. Have only had the sandwiches but they were great. Refreshingly inexpensive. Great place to meet someone.

I love this pub and the drink selection here is great - Guinness and aspalls, perfect. But the ladies toilets smell absolutely disgusting. It's every single time we come in and as locals that's often. There's something seriously wrong with their plumbing, please get it sorted. More

Bad experience! Went here today for a Sunday roast as a group of x8 adults…very disappointing. Upon arrival my partner asked if the football was being shown (as it usually is), he was told rather aggressively by the manager that they don’t
Staff was nice. This is a nice small peaceful hotel & pub. The rooms are clean and nice. My only gripe is that it was hot like a sauna in the room and bathroom. My sister warmed a croissant in the bathroom for like 10 minutes. That's how

We’re still eating the roast but just to emphasise how damn good the roast is here. Me and the ladies are blown away!
Advertised as showing all rugby World Cup matches, but neglected to mention they would all be silent. Waste of a trip.
