Sometimes you don't know how good you have it until you have a bad experience somewhere else. My kids and I have been coming to Dr. Peña for years. The office is always warm, welcoming and like a home away from home. I never have any concerns about coming solo with my 4 kids because I know we will be loved and taken care of while we are there. Recently, my daughter was in need of an extraction that was more than their office is equipped to handle so we were referred elsewhere. I ended up going somewhere more local to us that had over 1,000 5 star reviews. It couldn't be a bad experience, right? WRONG. It was scary and painful for my daughter and overwhelming terrible for me to witness. It made me value so greatly the gentle nature of Dr. Peña and her staff, and wholeheartedly regret not going to the place she had recommended (it was of concern of distance and missing school for my daughter, as well as time frame as they could not see her very quickly with a holiday weekend coming up). Dr. Peña and her staff deserve more than 5 stars! We appreciate you!

Dr. Pena is absolutely wonderful. She is the most patient, kind, and very knowledgeable dentist I have ever met. I love that she uses a nutrition approach. Our daughter had a very bad experience at Alamo Heights Pediatric Dentistry. That location spends all their money on the image of the location: games, movies, toys, paintings etc so it seems very child friendly but they have no knowledge about what the power of food does. Our daughter was severely traumatized after leaving that location, and we are so glad we found Wholesome Dentistry. My daughter was so comfortable and wanted to return because of how patient Dr.Pena was with her. More people need to educate themselves as the way Dr.Pena has. Thank you for providing us with other options that most dentist do not care to learn about or just have one sided thinking when it comes to Dentistry. :)

The staff at wholesome dentistry are absolutely amazing! They offer holistic dentistry options for the much needed demand here in San Antonio at affordable prices and great service! Both doctors are great and the staff feels like family! They never chase the dollars and are truly incredible assets to our community. They also take care of babies and children so they most certainly provide a full service dental package for the entire family!

Saw Dr Gonzalez for ozone therapy on an implant. Incredible service. He really went above and beyond to explain my CT scan that I brought in and the procedure. I was concerned about an abscess below the tooth. He injected it 2x and I noticed immediate relief. Not only that he also helped clear my sinuses. Great Doc and "crunchy" friendly as well! Thank you Doc and support team!

We love Dr. Peña and all of the staff at Wholesome Dentistry. My son has been coming here since he was 18 months old and feels at home every visit. The whole office just radiates peace and genuine care. I wish I could describe how comfortable my child feels with these ladies. Been bringing my children here for 2 years. We stopped even going to a dentist before that because of some traumatic experiences my son had had. Also we were looking for a more natural approach to dental care. We appreciate Dr. Pena’s approach and her gentle care! We are so thankful to have found a dentist we can trust! This place is so great! Both times I’ve been I’ve had Elvira as my hygienist and I’m sure if every hygienist was like her no one would be scared of getting cleanings. She was so gentle I could have fallen asleep! And beyond that, the dentists are knowledgeable and the front staff is super nice and helpful. Highly recommend them!

Service was routine, health care professionals were very accommodating, but the front desk staff needs extensive training on billing and working with insurance. On average they were about $50 - $60 compared to others in the local area, but unknown charges on top of that really makes you regret getting service there.

I’ve been going to Whilesome dentistry for years now and they have exceeded all my expectations. Not only have they fixed my smile and given back my confidence, but every single visit they treat me and my family very well. Highly recommend them!!
