Nice, neighbourhood cafe with homemade bread and baked goods at the corner of West 16th and Willow, where free street parking is easy to find. Outdoor seating is also available, which is nice on a warm day. I visited several times to get a Iced Chai Latte (excellent) and a shortbread cookie or gingersnap cookie (both good). I have also used the Too Good To Go app to buy their surplus baked goods at the end of day. Unfortunately, the one time I tried the app, I got four chocolate croissants that was a bit stale and one nondescript muffin that looked a bit bashed in. But other than that one time, my experience has been generally positive. I only wish that they start selling individual slices of their homemade pies, which always look so good.

Been wanting to go here for a while. The baked goods aren’t bad. Location and indoor seating area are actually quite inviting. Had I been able to visit before the pandemic, it’s probably become one of my regular study cafes. But I guess they had to make changes. Posted on their window and signs outside are still labels that say “free wifi”. Ask, and you find out they don’t offer this anymore. Another sign outside said handmade pie. I walked in hoping for a slice but they didn’t actually have pies inside the cafe. You have to order ahead of time. I got a little ginger cookie instead that I quite enjoyed. Enough to boost the rating by an extra star.

Worst experience of my life. Extremely rude cashier/salesperson/barista. Absolutely no manner. I ordered american misto, green jasmine, oat meal vookie and a bread and butter(which he charged 3.50 for it!!!!!!!!!). He filled 1/4 cup of the mug with hot water for tge tea and when I asked to fill it up, he said I'll give more later !!!!!!!!! It was the most disgusting, old and not pleasent experience of my lice, just eating in this place. They're so lucky to even be open, horrible, horrible person, bad taste coffe, tea, dirty dishes, everything is gross in this place. I would NEVER EVER come back here.

Another local business worth visiting! Been here twice recently and tried some of their cookies (baked in-house), so good! There is actually quite a variety of cookies, pies and others, so you have options to eat right there, or to bring home. Also picked up a coffee and enjoyed the brew, not bland, quite the opposite. Both ocassions, it was take-out, but they have a nice seating area inside and outside if you prefer to sip your coffee in a more relaxed fashion. The service there was very friendly. Prices, very reasonable (specially on their baked goods!). Come and support this local jewel!

Willow Cafe. This is where the locals hang out. Super busy and popular cafe but for good reason. Very friendly owner, he recommended some popular items to us and those are fresh baked in house everyday. Absolutely amazing and tasty! We had butter croissant , chocolate croissant, almond biscotti and cranberry muffins! My Kids approved and finished everything I ordered. Latte are smooth and hot enough! There are some free 3 hours parking spots in front of the cafe. Definitely 5 ⭐️ recommended anyone!

Worst cappuccino I've had in a long time. The oatmeal chocolate cookie was dry and did not taste fresh. Not sure how these two cost $6.5? The guy didn't ask what size I wanted, but I guess made and charged for a large. He set it up on the bar while I was in the bathroom, and did not point it out to me while I stood there waiting for a few minutes. This is a brutal review, but I'm sitting here seriously considering leaving to go order something similar at another cafe rather than finish these items.

Wow. Really nice! I go to a lot of wifi cafe's and bakeries to do my online work and this is one has topped almost all others I've visited in Vancouver. The place has a large area with a variety of seating, it's quiet and everything is baked fresh that day. Not to mention the owner is so gracious and kind. Perfect spot for a quiet business meeting, for the student needing to focus and study, for friends to catch up, or for the average WiFi worker like myself (wifi has good speeds too!).

  • Michael Robach

I've been here quite a few times to work and it meets pretty much all requirements for a great coffee place :) It serves great coffee, freshly made pastries and an array of hot sandwiches (in delicious bread!). Its quiet enough to have little meetings or focus on work, but still has a nice atmosphere to it. The WiFi connection is excellent! Only negative is that there are few sockets for laptop plugs. But it hasn't ever been a problem, since I've never really seen this place packed.

I've now ordered two of Luke's chocolate cakes for celebrations and not only are they now my go-to cake, but he'll have orders from my guests. The most heard comment from the last time I served it was "This is the *best* chocolate cake I've eaten in my life." I used to order from True Confections, but now Luke's my guy. Better tasting, less cost, local person. Thanks, Luke, for making my events a taste success!

Was lucky to get a great guy to serve me and a friend. Customers seemed a little snobby. Not one smile from anyone but the man over the counter. Was also the baker i believe he did just about everything. Friend droped coffee the guy came with no hesitation on his face cleaned it with a smile and a laugh very professional friendly the kind of people that make you want to come back.

Calm little spot with slightly more home-baked treats than the average cafe: croissants, biscotti, small tarts along with larger, take-home items like homemade pie and bagged cookies. I only really wish they had more "fresh baked daily" selection; for example, the twists, though good in taste, would have been so much better had they been less brittle. - Mimi's Cake Tour

Great coffee place! Had the almond croissant and basil croissant- amazing! The macchiato was ok, very strong but still did the trick! Staff are friendly and busy working. Not sitting and chatting with each other. They are attentive and the place is clean. I’d definitely try it. Big place and nice relaxing vibe where music isn’t blasting to deter your extended stay.

  • B S

This place serves up your expected bakery fare of treats and pre-made sandwiches. Nothing was bad, but the everything tasted pretty standard. A lot of indoor seating available. It definitely felt like a neighbourhood spot that locals come to out of convenience.

Love their bread. Their sourdough is heavy. I love it. It really is nice toasted. Go early as they sell out nearly every day. Also found that their energy bars are really good too. I need to buy more. They are not that sweet and there is no added sugar. They have coffee, baked goodies and sandwiches. Drop by and see for yourself.

Cozy little neighborhood coffee shop in a quieter residential area of Vancouver. The staff here are always friendly and quick. The baked goods on offer are baked in house and always good - the gingerbread cookies especially. Great place to pop in for a quick cup of coffee before a commute, or to sit and enjoy the atmosphere.

  • Richard Bergen

This place is beautiful and cozy, with pleasant smells. I do not think much of their prices, though. I've tried their coffee, a few of their specialty drinks, and a smoothie, as well as probably 6 food items. Quite inconsistent in quality between the items: extremely stale muffin, but an exceptional macchiato, for instance.

  • Mona Lee

Great neighbourhood cafe with excellent baked goods with wholesome ingredients. Not overly sweet, and always fresh. I love their homemade breads, oat bars and homemade soups. Very friendly owner. I used to go regularly pre-pandemic. Now, I do take-out, which is good too. Wish they'd stay open a bit later in the evening.

  • Bryan Causton

My expectations of a 4.5 star cafe were sadly too high. I don't mind paying for quality but this place misses the mark. $7+ for a tiny burnt egg salad croissant thin on egg salad. Same goes for the sourdough BLT using tough dry yesterday's bread. Service was disinterested. I'm disappointed and won't be returning.

Perfect Neighbourhood Instagram ready cafe. Starting from ambience, it's warm and cozy, and barista's customer service was tremendous. We got a chance to sit at the patio and enjoyed the sun. Coffee and Tom & Jerry cake was exquisite. The cafe has cute handmade merchandise for sale, definitely coming back soon.

  • Sarah Mcginnis

Been coming to this cafe for over 6 years. Today I asked to use their washroom and I was looked up and down and refused. I work outside as a landscaper. Now I can say I will no longer be going to this cafe, and going to the one up the street where I'm not judged about how I look.

  • Liam Murphy

Very poor customer service. I purchased a coffee and a date bar expecting so spend some time studying but was shocked to find out they do not allow customers to use the bathroom. Their are plenty of other amazing bakeries/ coffee shops in the area that I will patronize.

  • Jennifer Belcher

I love this place. Every time I go, I am reminded of why I love it. Their coffee menu has a wide variety and tastes great, the sandwiches are always super fresh with amazing bread, the owner and staff are wonderful.

Went on a weekday afternoon. Ordered a smoked turkey sandwich to take to the park. Place was empty, and took a minute for staff to come to the counter. Sandwich was made to order. Sandwich tasted fine. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. Sandwich was under $10.

  • Zach J

The coffee tastes terrible, the food is sub-par, and the service is consistently rude. It's a nice space inside, and usually quiet and empty (wonder why), but there are plenty of far better coffee shops in the area. Do yourself a favour and skip this one.

  • Moca Nimmervoll

Awesome little coffee shop with a friendly neighborhood vibe! My familys go to place for a drink, and a great place to sit and study! On the plus side, they're super friendly about you bringing your own mugs and cold drink cups!

  • Becky Mikkelsen

The coffee/drinks here are excellent, and the baked goods are also great! We tried a good selection and were very happy with everything. We have gone back a few times so far and the quality and service is consistently great!

  • Steph Portos

Owner/barista is quite abrupt and rude some days. Used to be friendly when we first started visiting but we’ve stopped going here completely due to his overall demeanour. Decent baked goods but selection could be better.

A quaint and cute, homey and local coffee house serving pretty yummy oatmeal raisin cookies and organic Pedro's coffee. The server was a nice guy and it's a warming and welcoming feeling inside. Support local businesses!

  • Keith Rudance

A quiet location, nestled in trees but close to the Vancouver General hospital. Outside under cover. Good coffee. Friendly staff.. close but far if you need some solitude. Wish there was more offered on the menu though.

Place is weak highly disappointing pastry’s, muffins a step up from McDonald’s. Check out Olivier’s bakery on king Edward. It’s a bit of a drive but will blow this place out of the water 7 days a week 52 weeks a year.

  • Vish Talreja

Fantastic local bakery with a wide selection of baked goods, sandwiches, teas and coffees. The owner Luke and the staff are too notch. Quality product and quality service! Cute sitting area inside and outside.

  • Daniel Blustein

This place was OK. We walked here and decided to get our drinks/pastries to go since the atmosphere wasn't super warm/welcoming/comfortable. The prices were a bit high and the baked goods were pretty good.

  • Kelly Little

This community bakery has the kindest owner and staff. The food is loved by my kids and we visit often. They are also supportive of our local schools and community which is so nice to see.

  • Ella Go

Delicous croissant, it was perfect! My husbands roast beef was very tasty and the bread soft. The service was good, but it was pricey. Oh and iced coffee is not iced coffee, it’s a frap...

  • Byron H.

Service was not that great, no music so it was an unpleasant atmosphere, and mocha was not good, hardly any chocolate flavour.

Disappointing sandwiches, baked goods were ok, but not amazing. Would probably be good for people with dietary restrictions as there were many gluten-free and/or vegan options.

  • Shari Attarian

Thisis one of my favorite places in Vancouver. They are casual and the service is very well. I come here often mostly on Sundays specially if the weather is sunny

  • Joy Full

Barista is a bit abrupt and impatient. However, service is swift. Artisan sourdough loaf decent. Cheese scone too porous and not enough cheese. Only so-so spot.

  • Satoko Oka Norimatsu

My neighbourhood favourite! Less expensive than big chains and the home baked goods are great. The only drawback is those cold metal chairs --- not welcoming.
