Also, exacting with minimal X-ray. They gave me a full body shield from the X-ray each time. Top-quality experienced team. They also will refer you to the best professionals that will service your teeth as you need for your health, safety, and/or beauty. Staff are always kindly-supporting, friendly and complimenting, and extremely-knowledgeable in their field (based on my low to high experience)… Whether it’s finding your insurance on a whim, finding ways to support your life/financial/circumstances/needs, giving you reinsurance that you and/or your insurance is okay/good/great, as well as giving you reassurance that we will never discriminate, and we believe in unity as well as diversity, based on my personal experience over the years. the review may be long, but it is authentic, specifically Dr. Kanada THE BEST, recently hygienist Kasandra (hope I got the spelling or I will correct) was THE BEST top 100, and Dr.Kong can look at you from far and know your dental needs. I have many years experience and maybe my first review for Willow Glen dental but I should have done it sooner. Personally, I care for others more than myself, and tend to forget about my needs, but at Willow Glen I feel taken care for. All take care of my dental needs, but as an extra they make me feel confident and beautiful. This is an honest review, not paid for. If anything I paid for it, and took my time to write this better the people.

What a great experience, starting with the first call to make an appointment! Thank you Dr. Tam and staff! I just changed dental practices because my previous dentist stopped taking insurance so the value of my benefit was severely cut using an out of network dentist. It's unfortunate that has to be part of the choice but in the end it was a win for me! The friendly office staff person who took my call sent me a link to new patient forms within minutes that I did on my phone over the next few days, so I was easily ready for my first cleaning and exam. After a few x-rays I was seen by Dr. Tam who is the most gentle, attentive, listening dentist I've ever encountered. I've had a few new issues as I've gotten older and she listened carefully as I explained my history and concerns moving forward. She suggested things for me to try immediately as we talked in a way that helped me relax and lessened my concerns. Dr. Tam not only did my first exam, she did the cleaning too, something I haven't had done before. The process was painless and thorough and I left feeling like I was her most important patient of the day! If you're searching for a dentist, even if you have referrals from friends or family, I would definitely consider adding Willow Glen Dental to your list!

Today, as usual, what I get for dental care, is a twice-a-year event I actually look forward to. Dr. Glen Lee has been my dentist since 1970. I met him through one of his dental hygienists at the time, Linda Marlow. After serving as "Best Man" in her wedding, she connected me with the "Best Dentist," probably in California or possibly the world. I like to call Dr. Lee the "Thinking man's dentist" for he always has sage advise to both younger and older patients. Plus, after 42 years, he has helped me preserve my teeth and maintain healthy gums. In addition to Dr, Lee's presence, his hygienists and front desk staff are like family as well, with each having decades of tenure. They are gentle in their cleaning and friendly but always professional, welcoming you back and efficiently getting you through your appointment. Recently, the office has installed digital x-ray displays, which make it easy for patients and doctor and hygienist to see and discuss problems and treatment. There's even a button to email the digital x-rays to another dentist when necessary. I feel so fortunate to have Dr. Lee & Kong and their Willow Glen Dental as my oral care professionals.

Dr. Doug Kong, thank you so much for NOT saying “This might pinch just a little“ before giving me the shot. That’s what most dentists say and sometimes it pinches a lot. Your shot was pain-free. I didn’t even feel it. Maybe that’s because you first applied a topical anesthetic and more likely because it was injected with a slow and steady hand. All my life I have associated dentists with times I’ve endured a lot of pain and anxiety. I neglected my teeth because I was too terrified to make an appointment. What I learned from Dr. Kong is that going to a dentist doesn’t have to be a painful experience. Dr. Kong and his staff created a friendly relationship making me feel relaxed. The front desk and all the staff greeted me warmly and offered to help make me comfortable in any way they can. I cannot imagine how stressful and exhausting it is dealing with anxious patients all day. So I think dentistry must be a calling, a vocation and Dr. Kong is everything a dentist should be. I regard his kindness and gentleness as the hallmarks of a great dentist and a great human being.

I liked this dental office for the two visits I went to. However, after my second visit, this provider randomly went out of my insurance network and they didn't notify me. I received the full bill for my dental cleaning and that's when I found out they were out of network. When I spoke to their office about this surprise, they said they should have told me, but they didn't, and let me come to my appointment anyway, despite them knowing my insurance was out of network at that time. As a "gesture," they dropped only $18 off my $185 bill, leaving me with significant out of pocket expense for cleanings that are normally covered 100% by insurance. I'm extremely disappointed with this service. This provider admitted they should have told me, so they should have provided a much better discount to an existing patient for their mistake. If you choose this provider, make sure you always double check with your insurance BEFORE EVERY VISIT to make sure they're in network, because you can't count on them to notify you of changes to the networks they participate in.

I have been going to them for a year now, and this is one of the rarest of rare dental clinics, where they don't look for avenues to oversell a service by scaring you. I used to go to a dental place (Smilecraft Mountain View )which has a much more fancier ambience, and the staff are extra courteous but every time I visited them for a routine check up , they will try to convince me for some additional service to make money , and they will always take an x-ray just because they make more money out of x-rays than just regular checkups. Talking of Willow glen staff , they are very courteous, doctors seem very thorough in their examination, and clean-ups, and best of all they explain everything they do . Recently when I went for a check up, they started measuring my gums and started telling numbers like 2-3-2, 3-3-3, etc.. As soon as it was done, they actually explained what they mean without me even asking. If you are looking for a dental clinic, where they do their job ethically without overselling you like a car salesmen, definitely consider this place.

Willow Glen Dental has provided the best experiences in my long history of dental care. I don’t mind going to the dentist, but for more extensive procedures, I’ve not had the best experiences elsewhere. Dr. Kong’s staff from reception to techs and hygienists make you feel comfortable and at ease at every visit. When the Dr. needs to come in to work, he feels like a trusted friend who’s there to help with his extensive knowledge base, kind manner and excellent processes. My wife and extended family members have trusted Dr.Kong and Willow Glen Dental for years, and it has been my pleasure to have had them care for me and my teeth since my first visit to their well run office. I’ve needed old dental work fixed up (crown replaced), and that was amazing to have completed in 1 visit. BIG THANKS to them for seeing me today on short notice after I chipped my tooth 2 nights ago!

I've been going to Willow Glen Dental for 7 years (Dr. Douglas Kong). They do amazing work, and everyone in the office is very friendly everytime I come in. Each encounter I've had here - from routine preventative care to putting in crowns - has been great. They will not try to sell you every dental service under the sun but will really just focus on proper personalized care. I finally convinced my wife to come here for her dental care, and she said she's never looking back to her old dentist. Most recently I had a dental emergency, after hours procedure done here after I broke my tooth in half (ouch!). I called their office: No hesitation. No delays. Just got me in and fixed my tooth within an hour of calling. Just phenomenal care, which is so hard to find these days. Highly recommend.

Willow Glen Dental is a fantastic dental care provider. My parents have both seen Dr. Kong for over twenty years and I have been going to him since I turned 18. We all would never consider switching dentists because he is simply the best! He is always kind, thorough, informative, and caring. The hygienists are excellent as well! The receptionists up front genuinely seem to care about patients as they will keep calling you to try to get you in for an sooner appointment if they are booked up. The care here is unmatched. Even when Willow Glen Dental was out of my network, I still chose to see Dr. Kong above anyone else. He is extremely fair with pricing and he never recommends dental work that you don’t need. Willow Glen Dental truly cares about their patients, and it shows!

My dentist at Willow Glen Dental is Dr. Brian Kong. I recently had an issue with a tooth during my regular cleaning. Not sure why I had some discomfort with a tooth. After his examination he identified the problem and later repaired the tooth with the removal and replacement of a new crown. His communication skills are outstanding, making sure I knew what he was doing to repair the tooth plus me not having any pain during the procedure. Additionally, Dr Kong uses the latest technology in his practice which can reduce the amount of appointments need for certain dental work. As in the past, I highly recommend Dr. Kong as I feel he really cares about the patients he treats.

I've been a patient of Doctor Kong for over 40 years. The staff is top notch. Everything you could ask for from their friendly greeting to, within a few minutes, greeted by a tech, escorted to the comfy exam room, where they make sure your comfortable, I never feel rushed. The appointment management is excellent. The office vibe is about the patient care and com fort, not about getting you in and out as quickly as possible; most importantly, in an emergency, I am treated with empathy, and scheduled quickly. Doctor Douglas Kong is the Best: Intelligent, gentle, respectful, friendly, I feel well taken care of, thats the highest compliment.

My dentist is Dr. Doug Kong, who has been a great dentist for years, talking care of my teeth with general care & even for emergencies. His staff is the best, starting with the hygienist, Karen who should be the measure of how hygienist should clean teeth, she's the best. And Carol the administrator who is so friendly and efficient, that she remembers the patients best time for the next visit, and has everything setup after one finishes their exam. The use of technology from emails, text, and computer patient files is super. So nice to get email reminders and text messages, it really helps me with my busy schedule. Sterling

If I could give everyone at Willow Glen Dental Group 10 stars I would. Everyone at Willow Glen Dentistry was extremely kind and professional. Dr. Brian Kong gave me a beautiful new brightened smile and when appropriate I was able to have two crowns prepped, made and placed in the same appointment. Julia, his assistant is attentive, efficient, happy and put me at ease from the first visit, always making sure I was comfortable. Everyone at the front desk was helpful and accommodating and so nice. With the exception of my cleaning appointments, I will miss seeing all more frequently. I like my hygienist Lynette. She is gentle and does a good job in teeth cleaning. This practice is very different from the dentist I used to go to while I was in the East coast. It's a much larger practice that dentists focus their time in more complex procedures and leaving cleaning to the hygienists. I only saw Brian Kong the first time. I had email access to my previous dentist and feel that he knew my conditions very well. I understand this is a much bigger practice with 8 rooms. I do recommend to get thinner floss.The floss is so thick that the hygienist was having a hard time to push it in between of my teeth!

Our family has been going to Willow Glen Dental for years. The staff isn't just friendly, we really are friends and treated that way. They had to wait to open until June and then retro-fit to get back in business due to Covid, and they have done a great job! It was already very sanitary, but now every room has a Hepa fan, face shields, etc. Every hygienist I have experienced is thorough and they make your feel comfortable during each step of the cleaning process. My smile is much brighter as a result of their good work. Thank you Dr. Kong and the great staff of Willow Glen Dental!

Willow Glen Dental has provided me with excellent dental care since I have been seeing them. Their staff are all very kind and professional. The office has a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. Each visit experience I have had so far have all been quite good. The rooms are all very clean and wait time is usually not long. Making an appointment for a future visit is easy. On top of that they send reminders when the appointment date approaches which is very helpful. I would highly recommend Willow Glen Dental to anyone looking for dental care. They are among the best I have ever had.

I needed a second opinion to make a decision about getting dental implants. I liked Dr Cong, he comes across as caring and honest. However when I called to make my appt I was quoted $80 for an initial consult. At time of discharge I was told I owed $107. I explained what I was quoted when I called in, she went to check w someone and came back to say I stilled owed $107 and didn’t even apologized for being misinformed by their own front office staff. It’s a small $$ difference but it doesn’t help my COVID related distrust for the medical industry.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Canda since 2019 and it has been nothing less than an excellent experience. Dr. Canda and staff are fun, personable, and, most of all, they are meticulous in the work they perform. I’ve never like a number and that means a lot when it comes to healthcare. Dr. Canda is great to work with. Her advice, guidance, and work are of true excellence. She’s responsive to any questions and does her best to accommodate my crazy schedule. As a patient of this practice since 1976, I have always seen my regular dentist. The practice has grown, and as such has undergone changes. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed yet again that my daughter's appointment was not with the dentist we requested. She was not happy being seen by another in the office. It was a surprise to her. Please stop reassigning patients without advance notice. Had we known her preferred dentist was not available or too busy, we would have changed the appointment.

I want to thank all of the staff at Willow Glen Detail for all of their assisting in arranging for an urgent tooth extraction this week. I was granted an appointment overnight . Based on a call at 6pm Monday, I was seen by the dentist by 8:30 the next morning. I failed to note the dentist's name although I think the dental assistant's name was Lynn. The hygienist was a bit rough with the tools. I’ve been going here for twenty years and the new staff isn’t as friendly as Dr Lee’s was. I think this is the first time ever that I haven’t received a toothbrush kit when I was done with the appointment. The exam room was sweltering and uncomfortable as well. Before, they knew my name when I walked in. How hard can it be. You have my appointment right there. You may only see me twice a year but how difficult can it be.

My dental hygienist is fantastic! So nice, friendly and Everytime I come in she remembers me, stories I told her last time and even things about my family. She always pays attention to my likes and dislikes, the toothpaste I like etc. I don't have as much interactions with the doctors but during the few minutes I spend with them each appointment they always seem nice and friendly. I also came in recently for the first time since covid and I felt very comfortable!

I've been coming here for years and they are always on top of the schedule and they're very efficient get get the job done and get you in and out but not sacrificing the human touch. Always friendly always efficient always thorough. The front staff especially is very good at their wait list. If you have to move an appointment they put you on the wait list and they really contact you when things become available. Exceptionally efficient front desk which is rare.

I have been a patient for > 4 years. There is no comparison vs previous dentists in the Bay Area. The office is well run and every hygienist and doctor I interact with are professional, informative and truly care about your health. I never feel they push unnecessary procedures or dental work on me which has been a big issue at other dental practices. I’ve always had top-notch dental care here. Great hygienists, dentists and front office staff. You’re in and out quickly. Scheduling, payments are a breeze and they had their COVID protocols up and firing from the start. TVs in every room. I hate the dentist but this office makes the visits as easy and as pain-free as possible. Staffs seems to like it there, not too much turnover. I do recommend Willow Glen Dental and Dr. Jeff Sholer by Oakridge.

Dr. Douglas Kong has been my family dentist for over 40 years. I have never had a problem with his work, always enjoying the experience. The other professionals in his office do excellent work. I've been a patient here for the past 42 years. My kids went here as well until they moved away. Always got great care and were reasonably priced. I don't know anyone who honestly can say they look forward to having to go to the dentist but for the regular check ups and occasional emergency repairs I won't go anywhere else. Dr Harvey and Dr Brian Kong treated my dental issue by making room in their busy schedule, were sensitive to my schedule restraints and yet dealt professionally and sensitively with my immediate issue and going forward made time in the near future to discuss with me a comprehensive treatment plan, giving me options. I got two fillings done this morning and it was supposed to take an hour and Dr. Brian Kong had me out of there in 30 minutes, fillings done totally painlessly! Before my initial appointment I completed a much more thorough intake form that asked questions about things that I never knew were related to my dental health. I wish I had come here years ago.

My cleanings need extra care due to an implant that I have, where my gums are super sensitive. Teresa always remembers to apply a little topical anesthetic to allow her to clean the area thoroughly with tolerable discomfort for me. She's also very friendly and also explains anything she finds going on with my teeth that shouldn't be. Excellent dental care by a wonderful professional!

I went to the dentist today for a cleaning and I mentioned sensitivity from chewing on ice. Bad habits are hard to break, so I really appreciated Lynn’s suggestion to purchase hard plastic cups with a lid and straw to keep me from chewing on the ice. I got a very non-judge mental vibe from her, which is nice given that the dentist gives me anxiety, lol

Warm, friendly, professional and exceptional service. Willow Glen dental are honest and proficient. I trust the staff and the dentists to make the right decisions with my consent. I have never felt so comfortable and cared for (this includes monetarily). The front desk willingly made a point to offer in network vs. Out of network costs.. 5 + stars.

Got to my appointment today right on time. Front desk staff is friendly. Was called in 2 minutes later. It was teeth cleaning and checkup. Lin was the hygienist. Friendly and efficient. And Dr. Tam did the check up. Again friendly and efficient. That’s why I’ve been coming here for years. Everyone’s nice, no drama. And just that much is enough.

A long time patient, since the 1980's. They are always available when problems happen. Middle of the night or middle of the day. I use Karen as my hygienist and see her 3 times a year for cleaning. Willow Glen Dental is full of very nice, caring, expert staff members from the receptionists to the dentists. The atmosphere is very professional without being "stuffy". I especially like the way they accommodate me and the recent addition of the modified ramp entrance that makes it so much easier to get in and out in a wheelchair.

Love everyone here, but after my appointment I had to sit and wait in the waiting room to be told I could leave. To go in you have to wait in your car until you get a text, without any Covid questions, and get called into a room almost immediately, but then you sit and wait in the waiting room with other people to leave.

Had 9 am appointment. Arrived at 8:50 , was nicely greeted, and seated in exam room at 8:55. Doctor came in shortly and proceeded to replace a filling that had fallen out. Completed in about 20 minutes. Great service!
