The food here is absolutely terrible. Ordered beef chop suey. Got a container that was half water a couple pieces of beef and a bunch of bean sprouts (no vegetables!) Sweet and sour pork... was the brightest died red concoction with no flavor! Dry garlic boneless pork... looked like beef and was not dry or boneless. Chicken chowmein... greasy think noodles that looked and tasted like swollen itchiban noodles. Egg rolls... dry and flavorless. Deep fried shrimp... the only thing was even slightly edible. Dont waste your money supporting this place. When I called to complain the owner said it's against policy to refund unhappy customers even though we had to throw everything out. I posted photos but didnt know how to add them here. Mine are the ones in the styrofoam boxes.

The worst Chinese food I ever had... didn't even finish the leftovers. Most items didn't have any meat in it for example I got Curry Shrimp and it was all vegetables with maybe 3 pieces of shrimp. The wonton soup tasted really off I've actually never not liked wonton soup and I through this one away cause I didn't trust it. The ginger beef was tough and flavorless. I also got salt and pepper squid... I've never seen a salt and pepper squid dish that had no peppers and onions it was literally overcooked breaded squid with what I assume was cajun powder. The only decent item was the seafood and broccoli that I enjoyed. Also the rice didn't taste fresh either that's pretty key item for a Chinese food place to nail...

Beyond disappointed. My friend and I were craving Chinese food and looked up some restaurants near us. We decided to try this restaurant. The guy who answered the phone sounded annoyed to take another customer's order and just lacked customer service skills. Anyway, we ordered Lemon Chicken and fried rice. We were expecting a roast chicken since that is how it is advertised in their website, but what we got instead was a fried chicken with super thick breading and it was very dry! I called the store letting them know we ordered something we didn't want due to their false advertisement. However I didn't even get a single apology. What a poor customer service, I certainly would not come back again.

When we ordered, we placed a double order of beef. One of the orders came with uncooked meat. We realized this after combining the 2 orders of beef to store leftovers. I immediately called to let them know and the gentleman I spoke to said they would refund me next time I stopped in. I came in the next day and they would only refund 1 item even though 2 were contaminated. The man from the previous night said to toss the food because obivously they can't take it back. The next day, the woman kept saying to bring the food back and refused to refund both dishes. Also, the shrimp wasn't properly cleaned/deveined and there was 8 shrimp and a ton of onion, not worth the price.

The man I spoke to on the phone while placing my order was such a sweetheart! The food, ok so everyone knows that you ALWAYS cook fish separately from any other food, why? Because all the other food will taste like fish!!!! That is what happened with all FOUR combos plus 2 extra side dishes we ordered last night... ALL the. Meat tasted just like fish! I really hope that the owners or manager reads this because this could be serious. It's cross contamination and someone could get really sick....

I ordered here through Uber eats earlier today. I usually never leave a review even if I don’t like the food however this restaurant deserves one. The food was gross.. threw everything in the garbage. But what drew the line for me was when I found a grey hair mixed into my food (which definitely did not come from me I have long dark hair). I called the restaurant to inform them before I left any review and the person on the phone laughed at me and simply said “ok”. Horrible food and horrible customer service.

Pretty unimpressed this morning. My dad is a senior, and told me last night he tried to order from this restaurant. As he’s done in the past plenty of times, with no problem. His roommate told the owner the address. (And yes it’s down the street, but they’re both seniors) the owner said “why don’t you just walk down here and get it” even after saying they are more then willing to pay the delivery fee, the owner got nasty. Needless to say we will not be ordering here anymore.

I just ordered from this place Oct 23/2020. This Chinese food is as discusting as all the other post from earlier in these reviews say it is plz don't get food from here you will be wasting your money we have a family of 5 and were not able to eat all of our food. When you call for the manager and voice you complaints he just laughs and tells you otherwise. I say again do not order from this discusting place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........... these people need to be shut down and I'm going to do my damdest to do so.

I've been meaning to leave a review for some time because this is a great place to pick up great Chinese food at a good price. There are only two small tables if you want to eat inside. The owners are super friendly and very nice people. Chicken fried rice has a good smokey wok flavour to it. Ginger beef is awesome sprinkled with sesame seeds. Chop suey is great. If you have not got food from here please give it a try as I believe you will be very impressed and fully satisfied.

Best little hole in the wall Chinese food place around. All these complaints may have had it on an off day but 9/10 the food is so good. The dumpling are the best in the city. Everything is unique and tastes different unlike some places, where everything just starts to taste deep fried/the same. The key to the ginger beef is to mix the sauce on the bottom into it if it wasn’t obvious. Winton will stay my go to take out place.

The food was very good with generous portions. A pleasant man brought it to the door a bit earlier than expected but that was fine with us as we were hungry! I found the price great for how much food we ordered (about 8 different dishes), with a 20% discount coupon. We loved the spring rolls and will probably order more next time. The dishes had just the right amounts of sauce and seemed very fresh. This is the second time we've ordered from Winston and will again :)

Very disappointing. Received a flyer in my mailbox and was excited to try. Found a hair in the vegetables so wasn’t off to a good start. The rice and chow mein were ok but the rest wasn’t edible. The lemon chicken was greasy and over cooked and dried out. The sweet and sour pork was not good. The beef and broccoli I had to spit out. The egg rolls were dripping grease and tasted burnt. Don’t waste your time or money and try somewhere else.

Not very good overall. Rice was not fresh and over cooked. Instead of nice moist grains it was firm and very dry. DO NOT order salt and pepper squid. Was extremely over cooked and could barely chew it. Worst I ever had. Was like shoe leather. Chow main was very good. Egg roll was very good. Ginger beef was different, but flavourful. Dry ribs were pretty good, but over-cooked. Not sure if they are overlooking things or just reheating.

Horrible picked up food first sign a dirty restaurant. My favorite food salt and pepper squid had 2-3 pieces terrible into the garbage it went. Went with single combo rice - old, dried garlic ribs soggy, ginger beef like rubber. Not worth the $24.00 pretty sure egg roll came from a box so disappointed. EVERYTHING WENT INTO MY GARBAGE Will keep trying to find a place that serves descent food expecially at the prices they are charging.

Edit- changing from 5 to 3 stars after my last experience. I had give 4 stars for the food and 5 for the portions. Now both drop to 3. As somebody else mentioned, the sweet and sour sauce has an off taste. Also was disappointed in the Ginger Beef- just wrong. Lemon chicken and beef & broccoli were good. I might come back for a "dinner for one" for those two items, but that's about it.

Very delishious fresh. Owner is very nice, takes pride in recipe's like making house made butter, sauces, slicing ginger beef instead of.your traditional long/short crunchy oval shaped.. (Best way I can describe ginger beef haha.) I don't eat McDonald's, Wendy's, burger King, Arby's,gross fake fast food filler with flavour , etc..tried lots on the menu and will always go back!

Being from Vancouver BC , I can honestly say that it’s been hard finding a good Chinese restaurant in Calgary but I was impressed by this place food was good portions were fair price was good. I’m not going to say that there aren’t any good place for Chinese food but compare to BC well it’s not easy but hey Yuu can’t beat the Alberta Beef hands down the best for a good steak

This was the worst Chinese food ever.. ginger beef smelt rotten.. sweet and sour pork disgusting. Called to let them know and they laughed and said they have a no return policy and hung up on me.. I had to rate a 1.. they did not have a - 0.. what happened to customer satisfaction. I have never dealt with such a rude restaurant.. food is not fit for a DOG. Stay away people.

Honestly, I’ve ordered from this place many times and have always enjoyed it and never had any issues. Tonight I ordered from them and my brother and I end up getting seriously sick. I call the restaurant and the woman couldn’t have cared less. It’s disappointing that a place I once enjoyed ordering from would not care about the customers becoming sick from their food.

This has been the best Chinese food place I have been to in years!! The ginger beef was amazing because of the very little amount of batter on it, it was basically just beef chunks in ginger sauce. I will definitely come back and I will definitely recommend!! And the people who took our order were very respectful and very nice!! Thank you for the great experience!!

If you want delicious, fast, non greasy,hot Chinese food. This is the place to order from. I love it. I don't feel gross after eating it. It always comes fast and hot too. We often order lemon chicken , they send the sauce on the side so it's not soggy once it arrives. Food is always fresh and crisp.

My children and i all got food poisoning from this place! We tried talking to them and they basically said its not their fault! Customer service was unbelievable! Radioactive Sweet & Sour Chicken Sooo the sweet and sour chicken looks like it could be giving off gama rays. It didnt have pineapples or any veggies. The shanghai noodles were green. Everything looked and tasted a bit weird. The shrimp fried rice is not the worst thing that has ever happened to me.

I ordered dry garlic ribs and I got something else egg rolls were burnt I don't think I will ever order from here again I just moved back and trying to find a decent place to get food from.

Calling this "Chinese food" is both an insult to the Chinese culture and food. I ordered 5 dishes from here and each one was worst than the last. Even the rice was horrible. If this is your idea of good Chinese food do yourself a favor and go to the mall and eat there it will blow your mind.

I ordered for dry ribs. But what I got weren't ribs. they were neckbones. I can tell the difference between ribs and neckbones. And the chicken fried rice smells like burnt grease off the barbecue grill. So disappointed. Even the kids didnt eat the rice, they usually love to eat fried rice.

We went in on a “spur of the moment”...wife was very friendly. Food was made fresh and tasted amazing! The prices were very reasonable and the portions were large! Not like some other places that have “downsized” their portions but increased their prices. Will definitely go here again.

Ordered the dinner for 3, and everything was tasty. Very generous portions. We particularly liked the garlic ribs, which were tender and seasoned perfectly, not too salty like other places usually are. The delivery driver was extraordinarily nice as well. We'll order again!

I've always ordered from this place, however I don't know who they've got answering their phone but you've just lost a customer. He needs to brush up on his customer service skills. And no it wasn't a language barrier issue the guy was just rude.

We always oder chinese food from this restaurant for some time and always loved their food, but above all our last oder was beyond perfection. All the menu items we ordered were cooked to perfection, and the portion size were up to satisfaction.

Best Chinese food for the price in the city! Never greasy and always hot and tasty. Fresh ingredients and robust portions makes for an Amazing experience! They would be my favourite of all time if the Wor Wonton was as good as everything else!!

General Tso's was just dry fried chicken bits with chili flakes. Laughable portion for the price. Only 2 stars bc UberEats refunded me so I didn't pay a cent for it.

I am suprised to see the bad reviews since my family has been ordering form here for the past year when we first found out about this restaurant. We've never been disappointed with food or service. Great little location, run by a nice family.

Worst food I have ever tasted. The oil in the fryer was old so my food tasted like burnt oil. It didnt even look good. I attempted to contact them to give them a chance to fix this and I was told that there is nothing wrong with their food.

Always greeted with a smile at this place. First tried it when I had a craving during my pregnancy. We enjoy their service and their food, prices are great as well. Here's to supporting more local Calgary restaurants and business owners! ❤️

Fast Delivery and good food for a responsible price. We have been looking for a place that served good chicken balls. Winton's chicken balls are very good and made with white meat which believe it or not is hard to find. Highly recommend.

Ordered a from here and the value and taste of the rice keeps bringing me back. Tried the Wonton soup tonight and wasn't disappointed. Excellent friendly service is a definite plus, they earned a fan here. Keep up the good work Mr & Mrs.

Awesome Chinese food. Various of choices on the menu. They'll give you one item for free if your order's over $25 (doesn't work with Skipthedishes or Uber eat). Can't find a cheaper and better Chinese food than this one. I love it!

I do understand that they have difficulty with English. I have ordered there many times. I live on a mews. Hard for them to understand. I had to spell it many times and they still didn't understand me.so effing frustrating!!!!

You have to try their GINGER BEEF!!! It is fantastic! Not heavy breading like everywhere else! Also everything else is super delicious at reasonable prices! The dumplings are the thick dough ones however.
