I hired Wiring Resource LLC on June 7 2021 to have all knob and tube replaced in my 1400 sq ft unit. Jacob came through and did a video walk though documenting everything and seemed very professional. I needed the work to be completed by July 1 2021 as I had tenants moving into the unit which was clearly communicated and understood by Wiring Resource. The team came in and opened multiple crooked holes in my walls (more than necessary to run wires), cut two structural joists in my attic (without my approval or awareness), made a complete mess of the place, and left tools and items throughout the place without proper cleaning after every work day. They did not complete the work on time by my deadline of July 1 2021, and I had to put my tenants in temporary housing. They did not complete the job per the written contract as I wanted a city inspector to come through for approval. The last communication I had with Wiring Resource was them asking for additional payments as to which I responded that I will not remit any payment until the inspector comes through and approves the work. I also provided an itemized list to Wiring Resource of all the additional expenses I had to incur including sheetrock repair, cleaning, temporary tenant housing, and other ad-hoc expenses. I would not recommend Wiring Resource as they did very low quality installation, missed deadlines, incomplete work, and lack of responsibility. I have had to hire an additional eletrician to complete the job. See pictures for aftermath of Wiring Resource's work.

Update: 10/18/2019 I hired Wiring Resource again and this time it was of a more serious nature. I recent found out that my house had a defunct breaker panel in the garage that was known to cause house fires. This situation jeopardized my homeowner's insurance coverage and the overall welling being of my home. I called JB and he was here within 3 days to assess and give me a quote. He also ordered a panel to custom fit the space left in my wall from the previous breaker box. For the first time, I know what every switch in my panel actually controls, thanks to Wiring Resource taking the time to label each one after the install was finished. I will continue to work with Wiring Resource and recommend them to anyone needing electrical services. JB is the first electrician I have decided to hire, based on previous customer reviews and a very reasonable estimate compared to my inquiries in the past with other companies. JB is very knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. His work speaks for itself. I will definitely hire him again in the future and refer him to any of my family and friends who may need electrician's services.

The project we had Wiring Resource do was setting up a conference room for projector/TV/surround sound/new outlets & ports/electrical and then the most crucial thing was making sure everything talked to each other. I think Jacob and his team were professional from quote to finish. I was very impressed. They were ready at a moment's notice, started early and worked into the late night getting everything completed in one day, and cleaned behind themselves like they were never even there. When I had questions about equipment Jacob went above and beyond and called the manufacturer and stayed on the phone to troubleshoot the issues, which extend well beyond the original scope of work. However, it is the reason I will continue to use his company for future projects and recommend them to other businesses. It's very rare I write reviews but I do believe on giving credit where credit is due. It's honestly refreshing to see someone of this generation (also my generation) do what's necessary to complete a job without excuses or pushbacks on lack of material, capability, etc. I could not be more satisfied.

We needed to move our generator from Central City to Algiers end of July/early August and the company that originally installed it wouldn't of been able to come out to give a quote for the move until August 15. Jacob from Wiring Resource was able to give me a quote the next day and was able to get it moved from our old house to our new house within a week of moving in. His team was able to do it sooner, but we needed to wait to close first. I am so happy I found Wiring Resource, Jacob is extremely professional and responsive and goes into great detail of what he's doing and why he's doing it. He didn't do anything without running it by us first that was outside of the estimate so there were no surprises cost wise. He also needed to cut one of our gutters for the generator and had his team come back to fix it and is covering the cost. Jacob was also able to recommend a company that could hook up the gas for the generator and they were also great and efficient. Highly recommend Wiring Resource and will be hiring them in the future for any other electrical needs.

Here is my experience and for you to decide... Jacob asked me to txt him photos and measurements of the job, which was to replace a chandelier in our very tall stairwell 22'. I sent him the pics and info and he txt me back with a $350 quote (before he even came out to look at the job). I said great and then a week or so later he came out to the house to do the job. Jacob and his partner looked and looked for a way to do it, but said they could not do it that day because they needed the right equipment for the job and it would now cost me $500. Again I said ok lets do it, then they came back a week or so later and still could not do it. Now Jacob says to me he will do it if I provide the scaffolding! But... he will not refund me the $85 for the estimate. I agreed TWICE to his prices and to do the work and he, not me, failed to deliver the service. Doesn't seem right to me... He and his partner were super nice guys. They could have said because we can't do the job we will refund you the $85 and MAYBE I would have said no keep it and thanks for trying...

I needed a light fixture repaired in my foyer February 2020. Jacob was very efficient, and communicated with me throughout the process even though he could have communicated with my adult children. He felt it was his obligation to speak with the head of the household, which was awesome. On today January 6,2021, Jacob returned to fix something in my circuit box, I was home today and was able to meet Jacob today and his communication skills matched his kind personality. They were quick and kept it professional. Having a young black business man with so much professionalism and able to deliver on their quality of work is rare. Wiring resource conducted troubleshooting and repaired my whole-home emergency generator, assisted me in selection and install a whole-home surge suppressor that I provided, and inspected and upgraded our primary grounding installation. Wiring Resource did a great job. They were knowledgeable, listened to my concerns and explained every step of work. Jacob, the owner, was very transparent and kept me very well informed of status of parts and when I could expect work to be accomplished. As an approved Generac installer, Wiring Resource worked with the manufacturer to provide all parts and labor for the generator repair at no cost to me. I heartily recommend these folks, by far superior other electricians I've worked with in southwest Mississippi and the North Shore.

I wish I had the experience that others have had because Wiring Resource came so highly recommended. I was scheduled for an appointment for an estimate to have a TV mounted on my wall. I waited until the hour timeframe had passed then called because the technician had not yet shown up. I was told that the appointment wasn’t scheduled correctly but thankfully the technician didn’t mind coming out, even though it was after hours. I was very grateful for that. I was told I would have an estimate in 24 hours. Here it is 3 days later and I’ve yet to get an estimate. I have emailed the company but have yet to get a response. It has been a frustrating experience.

This place is really great! I wanted to install smart switches all over my apartment and had messed something up and couldn't get it to work. I called Jacob at 7pm and he instantly came over to assess the situation and give me an estimate. Initially he was going to come 2 days later to install everything, but he managed to squeeze me in. Fast and reliable service. Due to covid 19 I've been during lots home improvements in which I've been changing out all of my outlets in my home and I had an issue with a circuit not turning back on and I called my favorite trusted electrician and he was able to walk me the issue over the phone and get me back up and running. Anytime I need an electrician he's my go to guy, reliable and professional.

Please beware of this electrician. We’ve had the absolute worst experience with him. We paid him $9000 to rewire our house but his license was suspended. We couldn’t get our renovation permit. The whole thing dragged out for weeks and then he disappeared. Now he won’t reply to me or my husband so we can get a refund. It has been a nightmare. Please be careful. We lost almost $10,000 for no reason.

My experiences with wiring resource were very pleasant . The service was very professional and the technicians were very knowledgeable of their craft and of the products they were using. I have contracted this company for things as small a simple porch light to wall mounts for TVs and even a dazzling bedroom chandlier. Trey did an outstanding job wiring a new 240v plug for my dryer. I inquired on a Wednesday morning and had the new plug installed by Thursday at lunch. Trey went above and beyond. No need for an appointment, no wait time, fast and cheap. I had a nail in my tire, they patched it but you could go cheaper and plug it. Some of the other larger tire shops were booked all week.
