On Monday 11 September, we had breakfast at a Cafe in the Heritage Centre in Pakenham and lunch at another, that one being the Wok’d Chinese Gourmet cafe Of the two, Wok’d wins hands down on all points, including “Value for Money”. ✅On average the price per head came in considerably lower. Our meals costing $19.00 each person. ✅ The atmosphere was more to our liking, with no blaring background music. ✅ A large viewing window also allows an opportunity to watch your meal being prepared ✅ The wait time for our food to be prepared and bought to us was minimal. The portions served were more than sufficient for one person. My friend had Mango prawns with Special fried rice,and an orange juice, whilst I had prawns with a Lemon & pineapple sauce, Special fried rice and an orange juice. Both meals were delicious and beautifully presented. ❌ Overall the staff were friendly but not very engaging They lost a point due to letting themselves down with poor table service. We noted that used plates, drink containers and eating implements were not cleared away, even though staff members walked past numerous times. Interaction between staff and customers was also lacking. Would we recommend Wok’d❓ Absolutely, very highly in fact ✅ Would we return❓ ✅✅ Most assuredly, there will be a return visit. They deserve their 4 Star rating, which with a bit of effort could have been a Star.

I love attending this restaurant. I am a fussy foodie and know what should and should not go into my favourite Chinese dishes. I have been attending this restaurant since it opened, and apart from one day when they had a relief chef; the food has been outstanding. My favourite Malaysian dish is Char Kway Teow. Cooked exactly it is dish to behold and this is THE only place in Victoria where I have found that favourite dish of mine cooked to specifications. This afternoon, the Bride and I had lunch there again and to our relief, the regular chef was on duty; AND HE DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Our favourite dish C.K.T was out of this world as usual; the servings were more than generous and the price extremely reasonable. To the Chef, Don't think of leaving anytime mate. YOU ARE THE BEST. Keep up the excellent cooking and service. Cheers.

Delicious food, and they will make slight changes if you want, friendly too! Update: went there again last night for a large pick up order, and i cannot fault them! I only had something v small last visit, and now that i have tried many dishes i am confident in recommending this restaurant to anyone! The meal was particularly delicious, and i love that you can see your food being made, the kitchen is behind a glass wall type thing, great idea ..and i love transparency in business! The staff were all great, making sure order was correct etc, and honestly, the food is top notch!! wontons beautiful, the honey pepper beef was delicious, satay fantastic plus many more- huge thumbs up ...another update.. Wokd is so yummy that the wait can often be long!

It used to be fantastic that we called it best chinese food in Pakenham, we ordered special fried rice yesterday and they were actually not fried rice, probably just mix ingredients into large batch of plain rice, which most restaurants are doing now to save cooking time, this is just cheating! Sweet and sour pork used to be best in Pakenham too but too much batter and just a little meat. Same chef but very different quality, we know you are getting busier this period but if you try to push your dishes out by compromising food quality, you will be losing a lot of customer. we will be going back in a month time if they are not being improved, good bye forever.

We bought takeaway from here after a long 24 hr flight and didn’t want to cook. I ordered the entree chicken satay skewers which were still pink and not cooked. Plus 2 x lemon chicken but only received one. The only positive thing I can say is the fried rice was ok. I tried ringing them about 10 times when I realised the problems and couldn’t get through. I would definitely NOT recommend this place and won’t be going back!!

Don’t know what’s happened to them, but don’t bother. Take away is a luxury in our home and is only purchased once in a blue moon. This WAS one of our favourites & most expensive. Almost $50 for three regular combos for three people. Containers were smaller. Almost no meat. The “Wok’d Special Fried Rice” contained maybe one piece of the extra ingredients. We ALL had funny tummies and diarrhoea within 48 hours. For the price, I could have ordered a takeaway banquet from our local Chinese AND had left overs for lunch for all three. Sans food poisoning. We won’t be back for a second dose of either.

As much as I'd love to give a 5 star rating as the food is absolutely amazing the order service needs more improving then any other place I've ordered from. Third time now i have tried to call and order and the phone just constantly rings and hangs up. When i have gone into store i have seen the 5 phones at the counter and one staff member taking customers in store orders and no one answering the phone. Seriously hire someone to take the orders the amount of orders you would loose due to this I'd hate to know .

Let’s start with the homemade spring rolls, they are a nice size but the pastry was raw on the inside and they were colder in the centre than on the outside. The rice had lots of peas pieces of rubbery beef and remnants of satay sauce, that’s a whole new experience. Last but not least the bbq pork in plum sauce, it was exactly how it looks dry and tough as shoe leather. This meal was totally inedible. Don’t waste your money here.

Ordered $75 worth of food tonight, was very disappointed as both lot’s of Special fried rice weren’t cooked properly, the rice was hard and inedible. Haven’t been going to wok’d as much as we used to because they have cut back heaps on the amount of meat in the mains so when we do go we end up paying for them to put extra meat in the dish. Wok’d you seriously need to lift your game as you’ve been going down hill for months now.

I always like their Singapore noodle.It is the best in town.I need to adjust my review.As We just ordered the garlic beef.We expected to be nice dry stir fry beef with some garlic.We opened the dish and it was very watery,no flavour whatever,taste like a boiled beef slice and veges.Half of the bowl full of water,like a soup.Unfortunately.I will still come back for the Singapore noodles but not the other dish I suppose.

Tonight 20/4/2021 was my first and last time I will buy any food from this place!! There was a BLACK HAIR(AND IT DIDN'T LOOK LIKE IT WAS FROM THE HEAD PART, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN).. I felt like VOMITING, I took the hair back to them as well as the food and got my money back. I've got photo but don't know if I can upload it on here... DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! I should've read the reviews before buying from them.

The times i have ordered there service is great but consistency on the food is not. I always order same thing and 9 out of 10 times i have gone the food never tastes the same. Must be due to so many different chefs. Sometimes food is AMAZING and sometime i want to cry coz it was a waste of time and money. They need to have max 3 chefs same ones everyday. Over all its ok place.

Bought wokd special fried rice, chicken miew and curry chicken. All were very bad. Two chicken had no flavors. curry was a like vegi curry. My son call it a salad... this was the only clean and good chinese place. But never again. Not chinese foods from pakenham for me... I called them to tell about it and didnt even say sorry...

The Schezwan chicken combo was delicious. We were there late (8:30) and thought we’d grab another to take home but the kitchen closed. Would’ve been nice if staff came to us to check if we wanted anything more before they closed.

I was shocked with the dishes i ordered. The vegetables covered in some gooey white clear sauce. I mean c*m has more flavour. I don’t understand how they have customers. If you want flavor try the sand pit at the kids playground for a gourmet night out DIABOLICAL!!!

Disappointed tonight! We ordered wonton soup x 2. And the soup was absolutely tasteless. I don't know if it was meant to be tasteless or they forgot to season the soup. We added salt and soy sauce just to be able to have something to eat and I was charged nearly $5 for each bowl. I called them so hopefully they rectified the issue!

Waited 45 mins for my takeaway order. Asked where it was and was told the chefs (I use that description loosely) forgot my order. Waited another 10 mins and got the most disgusting meal. The kicker was the compensation - stale prawn crackers. Worst Wokd around. Give this one a miss if you want any level of quality and service.

Excellent experience. We went there on a sunday night and I wish gotten the name of our server but she was a credit to the business. Made us feel really comfortable and made great conversation. I will admit the chow mein we got was a little subparr but the quality of everything else made up for it. Try the Flying Duck Noodles.

When it opened it was the best in Pakenham, now its the worst, fried rice bland nothing in it, chicken dry and chewy and the pork was all batter! Had a bad experience there 6 months ago but thought I would give them another chance, never again!

Dine here on the odd occasion, usually nice food, but todays (21/11/2019) lemon chicken, our favourite, was dreadful, the chicken was overcooked and maybe even recooked, the usually pourable lemon sauce was more like a paste than a sauce, spread over the chicken like butter. Not too sure if we want to dine at Wok'd again!

Used to be the best in town..... now it’s the worst, it’s all microwaved and still cold in the middle and there is no flavour very disappointed the last few times we have been there and will never be going back. This last time we got it we threw most of it out there was a strong spoiled meat taste and smell to it.

Great food but staff can not handle the amount of business they get. We are trying to order fathers day dinner and have called over 20 times and no answer. They also need to put in bunting or something to bring some sort of order for customers as no one knows where to stand or who's waiting/ordering.

The food is pretty good and very well priced. As a result, they tend to get busy, meaning that ordering in advance is a good idea. However, unfortunately, as far as I can tell, they have no method to order online, and the Pakenham store is atrocious when it comes to actually answering their phone.

Today I ordered 2 x stir fried noodles( kwai teow), the worst Chinese meals we've ever had. The noodles were so overcooked that you could bind them together into a dough ball. We ate 2 spoonfuls and threw the rest in the bin. We certainly won't be going back there again. Very disappointed!

After reading reviews I was so skeptical on trying food from here but I’m definitely going to admit, it was the best sweet and sour pork I have had in pakenham, the rest of the food was delish too, the black bean beef was so tender and full of flavor also, we will definitely be back!

I placed an order through Uber, tried to call the shop over 30 times to make sure they listen to my allergies as I am anaphylactic to a lot which I specified and no one answers the phone. This is completely ridiculous

They never answered the phone. I called 27 times yet no one answered.When I got there the staff were chatting at the back like nobody’s business. This happens a lot. Very frustrating. Food is inconsistent. Lucky for them they are the nearest Chinese to my place.

We used to order from her sometimes and food was average but still edible. The satay chicken this time was terrible. I had to chuck it in the bin. Sauce was like it was out of a jar. We won’t be ordering here again there are much better options in the area.

I had the Chicken Hokkien. I felt that it might have been a different cook ... the veg seemed to be cut differently and the chicken wasn't as tender as usual. My friend was happy with the Veg Chow Minh.

They tried to pass a piece of fried pastry with a pinch of filling (literally as big as a pea) off as a wonton. I've seen some appalling food come out of Chinese restaurants but this was just an insult. I have pics and video if anyone is interested.

This use to be the best Chinese and now it is the worst, went there a couple of weeks ago and our good was raw so they said next time they will replace jt, tried them again last night and was raw again with such a horrible taste. Not fresh at all

Quiet flavorsome food with quick service price is a bit expensive though for what you get only real complaint I have is I've asked for a specific sauce and given something completely different its not bad but definitely not what I asked for

Food is incredible the staff are very helpful. I have only had takeaway. Not many tables inside but plenty in the shopping center meal area in front. Meals are very quick but it very busy around dinner time so you should alow for this

Have had a few different noodle dishes from this place and they haven't let me down. The Char Kway Teow and Beef Satay with Hokkein noodle dishes (below) are really nice

The food used to be fantastic once upon a time. Unsure what has changed in the last few months, but the food has gone from being very good to being very very ordinary.

Really good Chinese food here, so much better then your normal dirty Chinese takeaway shops. Food is fantastic and not dipping with oil like normal Chinese food is.

Very busy on the weekends but quiet during the week. Great Chinese food and you can sit down to have a meal but no liquor because it's in inside the shopping center.

Rude to Delivery drivers who are trying to pick up on behalf of paying customers.
