It is easy to say that I know next to nothing about tax. Even in Australia my sister-in-law is my accountant so I never did my own taxes. So needless to say when I relocated to London I was completely overwhelmed trying to understand the tax system, and to be honest I am happy not understanding it. I was referred to IMS by my recruitment agency due to their good reputation, and I was not disappointed. I was and still am not the easiest client by far due to my lack of understanding of the UK tax system but the team have been absolutely amazing; explaining what it is that I need to do then taking care of the rest for me. Nadia has always been a phone call or a text message away when ever I have had a question and has always been prompt and extremely friendly, understanding and professional in relying to my emails with my unrelenting questions. I don't want to think where or how stressed I would be without the assistance of my IMS team; I cannot recommend them enough!

My initial phone contact and meeting were very positive and I had a lot of confidence in the person who spoke/met with us. Following my initial meeting I was contacted by a range of people and I didn't really understand why. However once I learnt that they are all one big team working together it was okay. The whole process has been very new a foreign to me, and I have had lots of questions about lots of different things. The IMS and especially the support team, have been wonderful in helping me out. It has sometimes been difficult to get in contact with a specific person over the phone, but if I just send an email someone on the team someone will usually write with a response on the same day. I would recommend this company to anyone wanting to set up a limited company as a locum worker in the UK.

Having been with IMS since September 2017, I can honesty say that they are a massive improvement on my previous accountant. Their initial mentoring service was very professional and useful; the online portal was always easy to use and update; all phone conversations were always dealt with promptly and efficiently and face to face meetings to discuss the more complex questions were always handled with great patience and attention. Also, being out of contract for the last 6 months, they did not charge for the payroll services but still provided a very professional service for all HMRC and essential business. Only downside is that the offices are not very clearly identifiable from the outside - could do with better signage. Overall, I would definite recommend them.

I was referred to IMS by a friend only two months ago, after my move from Australia to the UK. I had no idea how the tax system worked in the UK, especially once I started working as a locum. I was fortunate enough to work with Nadia, who was so patient with all my queries and questions about the UK system. She to, has only recently moved over here and more than willing to give me advice about all other aspects of my UK move. The IMS team are fantastic! My experience with IMS was fantastic. They assisted me with everything I needed to start my company, from registering the company and starting a business bank account, right through to meeting my tax obligations. The helpful staff were always available to assist with any questions I had regarding expenses, timesheets and VAT registration. They definitely went the extra mile to ensure I was a happy customer. All the fees are tax deductible and reasonable for an all inclusive service. There are a lot of other companies offering a similar service, however IMS have a very personal touch and customer service focus. A very refreshing approach in the London rat race. I would highly recommend IMS.

I found out about Income Made Smart on the recommendation of two colleagues. I have been with them for nearly three years now and found them to be extremely helpful, professional, approachable and dependable. I am relatively ignorant when it comes to accounting, but they are very good at explaining things and advising me as needed. There was a period last year when some new software was introduced that didn't function as IMS had been told it would, as is often the case. I understand this caused a few headaches, but everything seems to have been resolved and I haven't had any issues since. Have had a very positive experience with IMS.
