Wrigley Field

1. The free parking lot had a long line for getting on the bus due to a sold out game. It also drops you off 3 blocks away when it use to drop you right at the stadium (bad planning on the Cubs) . Plan for it to take 45 mins. from parking to getting to stadium. 2. The stadium is old so it has a lot of obstructed views. Anything in the 200s will feel strange as you sit under low hanging structure and have columns in your view. If you can't get 100s, go for 300s. 3. The concessions are not great as it's a older stadium and only has cooking on the main level. The concessions cannot keep up with demand during sold out games. Expect long wait times. Try using mobile app ordering to cut down time. 4. They have newer scoreboards in left and right outfield, but it still can be hard to see game stats. You will rely heavily on the ribbon boards at the front of the 300 level seats. 5. Like most MLB stadiums, security and ticket scanning is faster now. You just walk through a metal detector without stopping. You can still bring in a small soft sided bag, closed water, food, etc. 6. Egress out of the stadium can be lengthy if you are in the 300/400 sections. The stadium is older and the stairs/ramps aren't made for massive crowds.

For our visit to Chicago from Canada, we were able to purchase tickets online and download the mlb ballpark app before our trip. The day before the game we received an email with all pertinent information for visiting the stadium. We followed the links to read what we were allowed to bring into the stadium and how to best navigate with our young sons in tow. Size of bags allowed, contents, and stroller check were all clearly described on the site. On the day of, several staff approached us to make sure we knew where to find the stroller check and help us out with our kids. We were so welcomed and had an amazing time with less stress than anticipated. If you're visiting the city, I suggest going! Special thanks to Cubs staff Cathy Weadley who went above and beyond to look after us! My top tips are: to follow the flow of foot traffic, be sure your bag is under 16"x16" (unless a diaper bag), leave metal thermoses and cups behind, and preload the ballpark app or an online wallet and leave cash at home. Most of the seats in the 200s are shaded in the early afternoon if sun is a concern. We also found the local buses and trains to/from the city to be quite intuitive and they allowed our double stroller.

Stadium Tour (Wrigley Field), Part 1 And this…is baseball, for baseball purists like myself. Wrigley Field is known by many as the “friendly confines” and each time that I visit I’m struck by just how small and almost intimate that it feels. While its dimensions are similar to other ballparks, it somehow just doesn’t feel that way. We had the good fortune of sitting fairly close to the action and found the height disparity amongst some of the players quite surprising. With perhaps an unintended meaning, I was also surprised just how “friendly” these confines can be after observing Cubs and Reds fans actively mingling (scroll through the pics). A truly great place to watch a game no matter who you’re rooting for, the lights just seem brighter here. So much so that I can’t imagine what postseason baseball must be like here (sadly, most Cubs fans wonder the same thing). I was told by @1ehernandez that the best Chicago dog he’s ever had was at Wrigley and I’d have to agree with him! I am a White Sox fan, but at heart Chicago fan and do not have animosity towards the Cubs, except during crosstown classics. I have to say I love the “friendly confines” of Wrigley Field. No matter where you sit, you have a pretty good view of the field and for a field that is so old, but redesigned. In fact, when I used to live in the north side, I would go to more Cubs games than Sox games. I was fortunate enough this evening to be able to be in a suite for my company between 15-20 and it has a great view of the 3rd base area. The whole exterior is great and has many activities for before and after the game. More than where the Sox play. And the bars and surrounding area is “built for baseball” after the redesign of the neighborhood. I have nostalgic memories of the old times before the redesign, where the bars were more or less independent and Clark street was a destination for bars, not just baseball. Either way, if you’re in Chicago. Make it a point to go to Botha Cubs and Sox game. They are both off the CTA Red Line, making public transportation easy.

Wrigley Field was awesome! Went to a weeknight game to see the light show on a work trip and got a tour to learn the history of the stadium. Our guide was nice, knowledgeable, and super funny. The stadium itself is fun to explore. There's a very nice restaurant and bar right next to it called the Brick House that has two levels with outdoor seating and umbrellas and patio furniture and you can also seat inside. The field was beautiful and learning the history of it made it more magical. I don't go to many baseball games and the one I went to, the Cubs won! We got to sing Go Cubs Go at the end of it and that made the experience even cooler. Would love to go again!

Wrigley Field is one of those places. You just have to go to when your visit Chicago either take the tour to go down and see everything inside and where the famous announcers were and and what is meant and who actually owned it and why is called Wrigley Field. All those good things are something you can do on the tour and if you don't want to take the tour you can just walk around it and see the statues of the the greats that played there and just enjoy it that way as well. I don't think you can go wrong either way. You know if you're a big baseball fan being on the field and seeing you know the wall and and where the fan sit is is good as well but just if you go Chicago you have to make a stop at Wrigley Field but if you're going to Chicago, you have to make a stop at Wrigley Field

This is, in my opinion. The best stadium in all of baseball. I still love the feeling of the sun and Baseball at the same time. The train is still the best way to get there. Especially if your coming from the Southside. This was my first game In 3 years. I did not even recognize the place any more. Hotels, big mall like buildings to do everything and of course a ton of bars. Roof top seating still exists but only two or three buildings. Beers are 12 bucks and hot dogs are 9. They have a new plastic bat that is a cup for beer its like 36 bucks. Holds about 3 beers. If your a regular who just goes to the game and slides out the 133, 233, 333 to like 125 or so, is closets to the back entrance right by the train.

The sense of history here is palpable. Just inside the marquee gate to the left is the World Series trophy. You can get your picture taken with it and a designated staff member is there solely for the purpose of taking pictures. There could be more bathrooms but there were two lovely women wiping down counters and directing people to open stalls so the line went quickly and the bathroom was clean. Food options range from basic ballpark fare to Chicago dogs and Chicago's very own Home Run Inn pizza. There are domestic and craft beer options too. I recommend the souvenir beer bat or a cocktail in a Cubs logo (plastic) Mason jar. Get there early to wander around and take it all in. Tours are also offered.

First visit to Wrigley! Not a Cubs fan but how can you not love this ballpark. The obvious comparison is Fenway, which I've been to probably a half dozen times at this point. The seats were more comfortable than the Fenway versions and the hot dogs were the best in baseball, no joke. I took the subway, which is pretty cute but got really crowded both there and back, you could actually end up not being able to get on a train though that didn't happen to us. The outside isn't as fun as fenway which has a street blocked off for ticket holders with bars and such. Anyway, it's amazing, a living piece of baseball history, even if you don't like the Cubs.

What’s not to love? Visited from Fresno. Checked this off my bucket list and it did NOT disappoint (even though my Giants lost and were thoroughly embarrassed). The Friendly Confines were very friendly. Couldn’t have been happier with our experience here. Cubs fans were so friendly. There were two guys behind us speaking Spanish, and a couple sat down next to them. They got to chatting and learned it was the guys’ first Cubs game. The couple then bought them beer and had a great time the entire game. Just blown away by the experience and the beauty in this historic stadium. A true highlight in my baseball fandom life.

Saw the Cubs play the Mets, Cubs got blown out so the game wasn't that competitive but still was a good time. If you're going to a night/weekend game park at the remote parking lot at 3900 N. Rockwell, you get dropped off about 3 blocks away from the park, best of all the service is free. I haven't been to Wrigley in about 3 yrs and some things have improved, concessions and bathrooms are updated, prices are still high but that's never going to change. It's still a great time.

It's been a very long time since I've visited. The park was amazing compared to the way I remembered it. The highlight of the visit was us arriving late and my wife asking a guy named Tom if he could show us to our section. I look over and she's talking to Tom Ricketts. (she didn't know who he was) Sure enough he stopped what he was doing and was happy to walk us all the way to the left field bleachers and told us to have a great time and gave my daughter a baseball. I mean, how cool is that?!?!! We did have a really great time even though the Cubbies lost.

Mixed emotions. It’s iconic and historic so have to come here once at least. I took some off because I felt the fans were a bit Church like unless there was a big hit or the seventh inning stretch. No cheering for when their pitcher got to two strikes. On another matter, the PA didn’t really try to excite the fans between innings and there is no mascot for the team. It’s very no frills and some people like that. I would just like to see some. For my money, Cincinnati is a better experience. See my review for that ballpark.

Our family had such a great time visiting Wrigley Field. There were no baseball games going on while we were there so we went on the tour to see the stadium. I could only imagine how cool it would be to watch a game in the 2nd oldest stadium in the US. My baseball loving boys enjoyed the tour as well. You learn about the history of the field, you get to see the visiting team’s locker room, press box, and walk around the stadium. If you’re in from out of town, this is a great stop to add to your list.

Had to share for the very first time in my life I had a seat in the bleachers at the Cubs park. I will say it’s the most fun I’ve gad at a ball game it was last minute that we decided to go to the game with our kids me and a girlfriend we had a great time and so did the kids. We saved money due to us sitting in the bleachers and glad we did we got to spend it on drinks and snacks and we enjoyed the whole game. The view is pretty perfect. You can see everything you will not be disappointed.

Fun times to visit historic Wrigley Field twice in one month! First for the P!nk concert and then for a game on Labor Day. Amazing to share game day with a Vietnam Veteran and a 70-year old first timer to the park❤️ We enjoyed the Budweiser Patio with unlimited beer, wine, NA beverages, and food I will certainly do the Patio again. It has the ability to sit in the sun or hide in the shade. Very flexible movement for those that need more than a singular seat. Fun was had by all! Enjoy!

Obviously the best stadium in the entire country. You will never have a bad seat here. Anywhere I've ever sat, I was able to comfortably enjoy the game. The venue is always clean, the service is always great and the time spent is always memorable! The concerts here are also very good. If you've never been here, you need to make time out of your life to enjoy the experience. One of Chicago's greatest landmarks. If you want to save time and money getting here, just take public trans.

Lovely stadium. Very clean. Lots of space in walkways and several entrance/ exits for easy access. You'll likely see vendors outside. There is an official cubs store inside the stadium. The chicken tenders took 12 to 15 minutes to get made. It was a long wait. The nachos were fun. Very messy get extra napkins and then grab a few more. Lots of drink vendors walk around during the game so you don't have to miss. The bathrooms were also spotless with a nice attendant inside.

Wrigley Field is such a historical ball park full memories of Old Chicago. It was a beautiful day and we were with a group of coworkers as we had reserved the left field porch area. Beverages and snacks were provided as part of the package. I highly recommend everyone who loves baseball and the Cubs to make a trip and spend a great day at Wrigley Field.

They don't call it "the friendly confines" for nothing! I went to my first cubs game, and it was nothing short of amazing! The stadium was super clean, I felt safe the entire time, and had incredible seats! If you sit in the upper deck on the third base side of the field during a 1:20 start time game, you will be shaded almost the entire time. Everyone here was so friendly, and the gift shops weren't overly crowded. I can't wait to come back! Go cubs!

Every sports fan should attend a game here once in their life. This place has preserved the character of baseball from a bygone era while incorporating the nuances of the 21st century. I sat in the top most row and could still hear the pop of the glove as an outside fastball hits it, the yell of the ump's call, and the crack of the bat as it makes contact. The old-style organ music adds to the essence of this place.

The always classic Wrigley Field has been well preserved over time. Most of the dining options are on the ground level with smaller concessions throughout the levels. The bathrooms are always clean and the staff is helpful and there when you need it. Best of all, every seat is a good seat!

As always, Wrigley Field was a MAGICAL experience. It’s such a great baseball stadium and the atmosphere is the best. I’ve been to many MLB games in different cities, but Wrigley Field will always be my favorite. They are accommodating with dietary restrictions (we have a dairy-free kiddo!) and offer Oatly soft serve ice cream. The mixed drinks are potent and the hot dogs will always be a favorite!

Wrigley Field and the surrounding community is 2nd to none! This historic and beautiful ballpark is a must see place. I highly suggest the tour before you attend a game. You'll get more out of your time during the game with all the knowledge and history from the tour. And leave yourself time to check out the local shop and restaurants around Wrigley. Make this a full day or two experience!

Life long Cubs fan and I finally got to go here last August. What a beautiful ballpark. The atmosphere is electric and I felt like part of a big family. Didn't get much for food or drinks because I didn't want to leave my seat. It was just a wonderful experience and the Cubs even got a W. I really hope to be back soon.

Took this picture at 3am! No traffic Never having been here before I loved the neighborhood surrounding Wrigley Field. The atmosphere was alive but quiet even at 3am. I felt safe here, but always be aware of your surroundings no matter what. I love my home team just a little more, but I love baseball ⚾️ always. 4 stars because I didn't get to experience the inside.

Wrigley Field was on my bucket list since I was a kid watching it on WGN. I had such high expectations and they were exceeded especially by the friendliness and camaraderie of the crowd! Surprised to see such high tech at the concessions despite they weren't working properly. Wrigleyville was fun too! So many options to eat and drink with so much personality.

It was my second time attending a game at Wrigley. I went with my husband and our son. Nostalgic and one of the best ball parks to watch baseball at, in my opinion. It was a beautiful sunny/cool day when we attended a game last year. Parking was a little hard, but walking up to the stadium and attending a game was magical for any fan of baseball.

1st game of the season for me. It was so cold. Everyone was buying blankets, hoodies, and hats. Once I got my winter hat I was good. Overall great game, great food, and over 33,000 people there. WE WON!!! GO CUBS!!!

My 8 year old son and me took the tour just after the season ended. Walking around such a historic baseball stadium is an amazing experience. But the best part of our tour was our guide Noah. He was funny, enthusiastic, and informative. He told us several times that he loves his job and it shows. Every baseball fan should do this tour!

Wrigley Field was a bucket list item but no longer. Great experience! If you have the time to do a tour of the park then do it. Jim & Roger were great to talk to about baseball and such a wealth of knowledge.

It was my first time visiting and I loved the atmosphere. We got bleacher seats last minute and were not disappointed. The weather was nice compared to Houston, where I am from, because you're pretty much in hell there. The people were all friendly. The stadium was clean, and it was nice to visit a stadium with a lot of history.

One of the oldest ballparks in the world. I saw my first game here when I was 15 - Giants vs. Cubs. Harry Caray was still calling the games. I remember being there with my father and his friend, and I’ve never felt more cozy in a ballpark than I did there. This is coming from a Dodger fans who grew up in LA btw.

Great Ballpark. Great Experience. Love how it’s in the middle of a neighborhood and not an industrial park. Wore my Mets Gear and had no issues with the hometown fans. Great dogs and sausages.

Second oldest ballpark in the MLB and it still looks good. It’s a classic baseball ballpark feel. Has good food and cold craft beers, also a baseball bat cup full of beer. Don’t forget your Chicago dog and Go Cubs Go, fun environment a must go see even if your not a fan of the cubs.

First time in the Friendly Confines was for a concert with some local bands, The Academy Is..., Alkaline Trio and Fall Out Boy. The staff here is excellent, friendly and helpful in every way. I heard they play baseball here too -- it's probably a great place to see a game!

One of the last remaining Great Cathedrals of Baseball. Definitely an item marked off my bucket list. Any True Fan of Baseball should plan a visit.

Def a worthwhile experience as a Cub Fan! The seats were the best I’ve ever sat in, plus the included food, desserts, wine, cocktails & beers are amazing with lots of variety. Even the beer vendors have great selection, and the bags of Garrett’s popcorn are great.

It was my first time at Wrigley. My husband is from the area and has been multiple times. We truly enjoyed our experience. Checking it off our bucket list. Been to Fenway, Yankee Stadium and now Wrigley. I highly recommend going to Wrigley field at least once.

Nice experience for an older ballpark. Be prepared to spend big bucks to park near the stadium... around $50 to $75. Lots of decent bathrooms and seating and seemed fully staffed as the lines moved fast at both consession stands and bathrooms.
