YYC Airport International Terminal

Worst security screening ever. And I travel a lot! Slow and disorganized. Most weeks I fly through for business the security lineup extends well down the hallway before you even enter the actual designated line and it doesn’t seem to matter what day or time it is. They seem to only have 2 lines open when they have quite a few available. They spent millions building a new domestic terminal in A concourse, and there are NO outlets anywhere for charging devices/phones. So bizarre I can’t even understand it. I’m no exaggerating when I say there is no place for charging. Literally there is no place for charging, including no wall outlets that I could find. Not acceptable. Whoever missed this detail when approving the plans for the new concourse should be fired.

Very nice terminal with a couple of shops for gifts and bits. Large duty free when you're through security, some nice restaurants (I ate in the Chilli shack which served nice cold beer and had a good looking good menu). Starbucks for a brew, Laminees for your Calgary stampede bits and a desigual shop. That's about it for shops. Small enough to only ever be 3-4 mins walk from any gate. I did think some of the shops seemed expensive but I guess that's airport shopping and a result of a captured audience. Friendly staff though and clean and airy. A pleasant experience but if you're there for more than an hour or so, you'll have done it all in the first 30 minutes.

Very tiring and out dated "International" airport. I spent 1 hour and 45 minutes to pass through security check, and the line was so long ends at Swarovski shop. Men Washroom near gate C52 is very small needs to line up again, and doesn't provide seat cover tissue for toilet. Washroom at any Costco is better than this one. Airport has few laptop work desks which is very thoughtful, but all plugs were not working near gate C53. Generally, this airport is very disappointed by issues I have mentioned above, however, people are friendly and professional. I am really surprised this is the home hub for WestJet which is the second largest airlines in Canada.

The new international terminal is awesome! I have never waited in security for any time whatsoever and check in at departures is now a breeze. Finding your departures gate can be strange, but the waiting area is very nice, modern, bright, and clean. HUGE IMPROVEMENT! On the arrivals end, customs is super easy now. The only weird thing is you fill out a customs card on paper, feed it into a machine, verify random questions from the paper, print out a copy, and hand the copy to first the customs agent by the machines and then the customs agent after the baggage claim. Why? Seems like there’s still some processes to iron out.

This is the newish international terminal which was added to the airport recently. It's pretty well organized in terms of walking distance etc. Access to lounge is pretty easy (Aspire). The food selection is pretty good. It has ample and comfortable seating area at begining but things go a little downhill close to gates. There are not many seats close to the gates so you have to sit far from gate to the point that hearing announcements is not that easy through typical airport noise. Also annoyingly they didn't add power outlet close to all seating

I travel within Canada a lot, so I really like this airport. It's modern and fresh with lots of places to dine, grab a coffee or browse shops while waiting for a flight. Security, though usually quite lined up, is pretty quick. Things are much more efficient and timely than they were 2 years ago due to Covid. I find this airport easy to navigate and always a friendly employee or volunteer nearby should I have a question.

Rating it 1 star because United rips people off at check-in. Their scales are uneven and lots of them purposefully overestimate the weight so they can get $100 from you. Until the airport enforces even scales from all airlines, y’all get a 1. Also, my boarding pass said pre-check, but I was told by security there was no such thing, so I had to wait in the one long line. Good riddens.

Waiting time for security check in is pretty long. Usually crazy busy during early mornings and evenings. Be prepared to be an hour earlier to clear the security check in. There is a direct bus from downtown to the airport which usually takes an hour and half. Small but a very busy airport.

The Calgary International terminal is still relatively new, with high-tech equipment and a seamless self-check-in system. It is beautiful, neat, world-class, huge, and easily accessible. The Major International airlines that come to Calgary have their check-in stations there.

It is exponentially big and very new and ahead for it’s time. There is always space at the drop-off and pick-up spot and the flights are usually on time. At Christmas time there are a lot of great, quality decorations. Renovated restaurant and hangout places.

Arrivals pickup is a nightmare. Trapped in the cell phone waiting parking lot for 45 minutes because the taxi traffic won’t allow any outflow from the lot. Overall it took me over an hour to pickup someone who had already landed. Total gong show.

We were warned of the Christmas rush but there we no problems for our international flight. Westjet had lots of agents so there was no line at the ticket counter. Security was ready for crowds and it went fast. US immigration had no line.

They tried to cut corners by limiting just one elevator on the USA departure terminal. WestJet staff are horrible. They disallow international check-in luggage even for 200 - 300 gms difference. Welcome to YYC.

If you can avoid checking in luggage when traveling to Calgary, do it! It will save you 20-30 mins at luggage pick up. This airport by far the one of the slowest airports for luggage processing.

Der internationale Terminal wurde in den letzten Jahren gründlich renoviert und sieht sehr gut aus. Duty Free ist durchschnittlich, aber der übrige Komfort ist gut.

Nobody seems to know how to help people. Huge lines caused us to miss our flight despite being assued by staff and security we would make it.

I haven't been to this airport for several years. They have made some pretty amazing improvements.

Good airport, need more water outlets, I could not find it, while waiting in visitors area

As far as airport terminals go, this one is pretty good, especially later in the evening.

Somewhat busy but ok, friendly, ---> not at all like Eastern Canada Airports
