I would like to clarify at the beginning of this review, that I am a regular at Yame Sushi, but I only go on the weekends (both lunch and dinner). Thus, my review reflects the service and food served on the weekends only. I have tried several all-you-can-eat sushi joints around Oakville, and Yame Sushi is the most consistent with regards to food quality and service, hands-down. The service: The girls who serve at this establishment know English as a second language, but in the several years that I've been going here, they have NEVER once messed up my order, or have forgotten anything from my order. Considering how orders at AYCE sushi establishments can usually lead to confusion or mistakes (due to language barriers and volume of food being order), I find it quite impressive that these girls never miss a beat. I should mention they are quite friendly as well. The food: You might be able to find better sushi at other sushi restaurants, but compared to other AYCE sushi restaurants in Oakville, Yame Sushi has the best and most consistent quality food. I would strongly recommend trying the special house rolls on the menu. Also, it is the only sushi restaurant that I've found that serves a rainbow sushi pizza. The sushi pizza here also seems to be fresher than other AYCE sushi restaurants. The location: The decor here is modest, but functional. It can handle large groups without issue. Tables and washrooms are always clean. There is a washroom on the main level, but unknown to most, there is also one downstairs if you are in dire need. The only thing that this place does not have is the iPad ordering functionality that has become more and more popular at AYCE sushi joints. The absence of iPads does not concern me though, because the servers are quite exceptional and I don't see the need for them if my orders are perfect every time. In conclusion, you might be able to find better sushi elsewhere, but you won't be able to find a better AYCE sushi anywhere else in the Oakville area. This place is a "must try".

Horrible experience, ordered uber eats customer pickup whilst I was outside the restaurant and went inside in about 10mins and the staff thought I was Uber eats driver and she yelled saying we just received the order and you came right away. This is ridiculous regardless if I was a customer or uber driver. Everyone is human and needs to be treated with respect. Staff either needs basic customer and human etiquette training or replaced as this is not appreciated and should not be tolerated. Had it not been for delivery apps your business would suffer heavily. I personally will never return to a place that had no courtesy to treat other human being with respect and will take my business elsewhere. Shame on you. Apart from this food is below average, you have kibo close by, choi's right opposite and august 8 not too far, you are better off going there for pleasant service, good quality food and last but not the least, basic way how to treat other human fellows.

We order from here occasionally - it used to be our good-to place for sushi, but we noticed the quality went downhill from our recent experiences. We usually encounter bad experiences during the weekends. This past Saturday was no exception. We order chicken cutlet and pork cutlet in a bowl. By far it was the worst quality we've ever had. The rice was hard and old, it was evident the oil wasn't changed (i.e. they fried items in the same oil many times without changing/cleaning it...likely for days), and there was no vegetable garnish to accompany the entree. The meal was mediocre at best. I would give 2 stars, but we've had good/decent experiences in the past with their sushi and party trays, so I gave an extra star to acknowledge that. There are many Japanese restaurants in Oakville now, so I think Yame needs to up their game in order to stay competitive and keep loyal customers.

The food is awesome. Fresh and tasty. I like the all you can eat option which seems to provide an unlimited choice of the different styles of Japanese food. However you continually order what you want from filling in an order sheet. It makes you more selective and less likely to order too much. It’s not fancy but it is cosy and a fairly relaxed place to grab great quality, tasty good value food. I like the 4 person booth as it’s great for chatting with a few friends. Been back twice in last month and will be back again soon.

For the price it's excellent. Really fresh food, a great selection of items, lots of flavors. There are items you don't normally get at sushi places like enoki mushrooms in butter. Really good. It's not fancy but it comfortable that's for sure. I recommend you try it

Located in Oakville this establishment is easy to get to and had no issues with parking. The service and food quality is great and the amount my friends and I ordered for AYCE is worth for how much per head. I'd definitely see my friends and I coming back here again in the future.

There are about eight spots directly behind the building that are shared with other businesses. If those are used, you can usually find street parking or green P just behind that.

Went to this place with the family based on an invite by other family members. It has a pleasant appearance and is fairly clean. The bathrooms could use a little more cleaning. The food and service are good, and the portions are reasonably priced. They have both lunch and dinner pricing, as well as special pricing for Seniors, children, and younger children. A 10% discount is applied on pick up orders when paid in cash. The restaurant has easy access and there is a fair amount of metered parking. I would recommend the place for anyone that likes sushi.

Full rating for food because you get a lot, and it's not all top, but most of it is really good, and on this all-you-can-eat, you can just pick the ones you think they do best. And there are a lot of items on the menu that they do fantastically! The staff is fast och friendly. Their service is no less than I would wish for.

I was quite disappointed with their pad Thai. There descriptions of the food was pretty typical pad Thai. When I got it, there's not beans sprouted, it was orange, not a taste of tamarind. It have brocolli and Napa cabbage(since when). It was very bland. I had 2 bites and that was it for me. The Restaurant was clean, organized and friendly. Don't order pad Thai to save you the disappointment.

This is my go to AYCE sushi spot and have been going for years. I’ve tried other places and they were either higher in price or something was just off. The food is fresh and always delicious and service is quick too. They have many some good options for those who don’t eat seafood as well.

Food is good. The service was not very good. The host ignored us on multiple requests. Plus she gave us attitude when we asked for the sheet the last time, which I don’t get because it was not closing time and this is an all you can eat restaurant. Adding to all of that they apply gratuity without your consent. The atmosphere was average, there are a handful of places in the area with the same price range with better atmosphere.

Went there with a friend at 2:30. It wasn’t busy, and we were actually the only ones in here when we left. I liked the miso soup, and everything else—the rolls, the quality of the salmon—was pretty good. Just note that if you go for lunch and stay past 3 they won’t allow you to order any more food (other than dessert). I’ll come again since I love sushi and still have 95% of the menu to try.

Delicious sushi. AYCE has such huge portions that are very tasty and filling. Loved the dragon roll, beef enoki mushroom, chicken teriyaki. The steamed custard buns and green tea ice cream for dessert were a great way to end the meal. Definitely my new fave sushi spot in Oakville.

Disappointed with the food quality, especially with the sushi rice. The rice had brown kernels that I thought if they mixed brown rice at first, which couldn't be, and then I realized they must have mixed it with old stale steamed rice. It didn't have any gloss, no moist, so I felt the dry kernels without any stickiness. Of course, it didn't taste good. I also don't think they use the right kind of sushi rice such as koshihikari. I won't order from this place again.

I just expected way too much from this place based on the reviews. I ordered Patty Tray D and Yame Lobster Roll. Lobster Roll : Not great at all. The Decoration and look was on point but I wouldn’t get this again. Party Tray : Salmon and tuna Sashimi was really nice and fresh. There were different rolls included in the tray. Some were good some were okay. Maybe I will give this place another shot again in the future. For now it was a pretty average experience.

My number one favorite sushi restaurant in Oakville Would definitely recommend checking this place out

The food was quite descent. The Sushi was fresh, the Clams were soft, the Shrimps well done and the Sweet & Hot & Sour Soup was Sweet & Hot & Sour. I had only 2 unplesent issues: 1- I pad the rate for Dinner while it was lunch. 2- The Waitress was concerned with something, I had got impressions that the minute I acknowledged her that I will take advantage of the all what you can eat menu option, she lost her smile, so, I felt a bit uncomfortable!

Amazing first experience! Possibly the best sushi I have had (from my limited experience). Food was delicious and the service was pretty quick. One nit pick would be that they forgot one order of chicken that we ordered, but there was plenty of other food to go around. Would definitely recommend.

Lunch AYCE menu options are very mediocre. No sashimi, no bbq eel, other signatures rolls were very basic. Heavy on the rice, light on the fish (especially the fish roe). Only gets an extra star cause it is cheaper price than other typical AYCE sushi. Guess you get what you pay for.

All you can eat lunch menus has very limited items . Orders are done through paper, food quality is good specially the fried rice and the sushi rolls. They charge 9.99 for a four years old kid while at other all you can eat buffet restaurants kids under 6 are free. Lunch and dinner price are no much difference . I personally will not go back to this place anymore

It was one of the cheaper all you can eat sushi places I've been to. Fish was served at a good temperature (wasn't too cold like it just came from a freezer) and the rolls had decent consistency in cuts.

Rice was not cooked properly. Ordered about 60 pieces of sushi for 4 people, costed 180$ and was super hard to digest the food. We are going home hopefully we don’t get sick. I don’t recommend this place and my daughter is just about to throw up.

Unfortunately, my recent experience at Yame Sushi was disappointing. The taste and quality of the food were subpar and fell below expectations. Can get quite busy so service can sometimes get a little slow, but food is great and tastes very fresh. I'd recommend coming during the less crowded hours so you can get a lovely presentation as well. Sushi is very well made, as is pretty much everything on the menu. Very reasonable price for all you can eat.

The more we eat here the more we love it. The food is so fresh and tasty! We have not eaten at the restaurant, but have only got takeout. Delivery is easy and the meal is such great value. Highly recommend them!

Absolutely delicious sushi for a very reasonable price. Quiet and comfy interior, we had to wait over an hour to get a table due to covid restrictions but it was worth it. No reservations are taken so get there early and get prepared for wait. They should have more variety of desert other than ice cream

What a great little place! The quality of of the sushi is some of the best I've had, AYCE or not. They don't skimp on the size of the rolls or the sushi themselves, like many other places. Plus, the staff was friendly and fast. Definitely coming back.

This all-you-can place is great! I would recommend calling ahead of time for a reservation just in case. A ton of parallel parking along the street. Staff are really friendly. Definitely would visit again!
