I have been ordering from Yorgos for 5 years now at Clyde Ave. My family thoroughly enjoys any of the items on the menu, as we have ordered probably everything there. The service is always great, except a few weeks ago. The new driver brought our food and a smile even as i turned him away for not having my food in a bag this time. The importance for me is that the food is kept as warm as possible until it reaches us..and i am very picky about that. I then called the manager. I was put on hold, and decided to hang up and go there and speak my mind in person. I was greeted by Zane the manager. I pulled him aside and expressed my grief. He listened without interuption and accepted my complaint. Then he asked how he could make things right. I responded that it wasnt about the money or the quality of food nor the staff, rather the acknowlegment of the complaint and a promise not to let it happen again. He appologized most sincerely and spent time with me to make sure i got it all off of my chest. Now i know things can happen and change with time, how ever, the service and quality i cannot compare, as they consistantly provide and i want to keep on ordering from them. By the way, not only did Zane give me a healthy discount but he also made a new batch of wings so i could eat something hot on the way home. My family once again ate their favortie food, YORGOS. Thank you Zane and STAFF for hearing me out and having an excellent attitude about my displeasure. I have been going to Yorgos for years now, and the food is worth the drive! (I live outside of their delivery area.) It is a family run small business, and you will alway be greeted by brothers Nehme and Muhammad in a friendly manner. It is always a pleasure to have a lovely conversation with them. Their hard working father is often there helping out in the background too. They have the most delicious Greek salad dressing in the world! It is an amazing family recipe. You will always want to order extra! It is a take out restaurant, with a some bar stools if you want to eat at the counter. They are busy with pick up orders and delivery. My go to meal is the chicken souvlaki platter. The large chunks of chicken are seasoned and grilled to perfection always. The homemade tzatziki is fabulous too...order extra. My husband enjoys the pizza with its crispy crust and tasty melted cheese. A wonderful family run business who aim to please. Order early on a Friday/Saturday night...they get busy! Yorgos on Clyde Avenue, just near the sharp curve, tucked in a plaza, has the BEST CHICKEN SOUVLAKI in the city of Ottawa!!!!

The delivery guy was awesome and the food was edible but sucked. There was no real Greek flavor or touch to it. Which is the only reason I picked this place. The meat tasted and looked like it was just cut up, rolled around in steak spice, put on a skewer and cooked. The salad was just some romaine lettuce, 2 tomato wedges, 2 slices of green pepper, 2 onion ring slices, 2 cucumber slices, 2 whole olives, 2 small sices of a light kinda feta cheese and 1 slightly spicy pepper. And lastly the rice, it seriously tasted like Uncle Ben's chicken flavoured rice with frozen carrots and peas cooked and mixed into the rice. The only thing I liked was the hummus and pita bread. when the pita bread is warm it's very good but as they get cold not so much. lol All that and $2-3 for tip cost me $45. For that much I could of (and should of) ordered a Swiss Chalet family pak, McCain cake and $2-3 for tip as well. I will never order from here again or any place named Yorgo's and I definitely will never recommend it. I will actually tell people not to get anything from Yorgo's EVER!!

The best PIZZA in town (all their food is real deal). Greek is great, all the staff are wonderful (especially at this location) We order here 95% of the time that we get take out, and we are always impressed. Typically, we order a medium pizza and I have never had a single pizza that wasn't done to perfection. Occasionally the food takes an hour or just over, during peak times, but it always arrives hot and cooked proper. I saw a negative comment about the desserts, well we order dessert often, about 1/4 of the time, or roughly 5-10 times a year, and the cheesecake is always delicious. Love from Costello Avenue, my wife is calling in an order as we speak. Stay delicious my friends, and those of you thinking of giving it a try, do it, and order a pizza, even if you want to have Greek, order a small side pizza (reasonably priced) and get ready to be hooked. Horrible Delivery. Oct 21st 5:37 pm, i order their large pizza 20 chicken wings and paid extra to get 2 garlic sauces. They tell me over the phone it will take 45 mins to an hour to come. they show up 1 hour 40 mins later with no Garlic sauce. I ask for them to come back, they tell me it will come in roughly 20 mins!!!! Are you kidding me!!! Now i gotta wait min 20 mins to get my 2 Garlic sauces i paid for. My pizza getting Cold. Ridiculous! Never recommend this place ever! I will never ever buy from them ever! I cannot believe the lame excuses they had about why! My Garlic sauce comes 30 mins later and the guy who brings my Garlic sauces ask me to pay! Are you serious! I already paid and they are expecting me to pay again? I've never encountered such disorganization!

The food is good and the prices are very reasonable. Any of the Greek food is excellent. I would advise against, specifically, the Hawaiian Sub and the fries are rather lacklustre. Otherwise the menu is strong. The hot wings are completely delicious. HOWEVER, I ordered 40 of them and they only put 37 in the container. I'm going to do this order a few more times and, if I'm always shorted, I'm going to have to find another place to order wings from. I like 40 wings and it is not an arbitrary number, it's just enough to forestall starvation. Follow up: subsequent visits have yielded between 39 and 40 wings. I just a did another and it was slightly more than 40. Touche Yorgo's, touche.

This for the Clyde one specifically. I ADORE Yorgo's. Been going to them for about 5 years. The customer service is fantastic! I have never been treated poorly by anyone that has served me at the counter or on the phone. Always pleasant and smiling! And the food is delicious. I could live on it day in and day out. I have started ordering it for the meetings I "cater" at the company I work for. My colleagues all love it and ask for it specifically. I always recommend their food to anyone that mentions Greek. I will continue to go back to Yorgo's for years to come. These guys are great!

Just AWEFUL! Have been a loyal customer for years. Loved the lamb skewers, ordered almost weekly. Price has always been the same. Now the young kid running the phones calls to try and overcharge me and claims it's always been this way. I have receipts dating back a year that prove otherwise. Scummiest sleaziest move from a restaurant. In disbelief a out the poor service. This is after they took almost 2 hours on our last order and delivered it cold. Such a shame the quality has gotten so poor. Will be telling everyone I know to stay away

Overprice Greek platters - Not worth it. The food was edible but VERY BLAND. The rice had zero seasoning and was very bland, it seem like it was made with frozen veggies. Potatoes were fine. I agree they give you a teaspoon of tzatziki with your souvlaki platter. Chicken was indeed dry. The lamb and beef was thin and dry and had no taste - was not appealing. The feta cheese had a weird taste to it. I was not impressed and won't be coming back. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Ordered thru Skip, Restaurant does their own delivery. Food arrived in little over half an hour from 8 km away...excellent....the food was warm tasty .. I was momentarily fooled by the calamari because it looked like onion ring,,,,, but what an original taste..Hockey Calamari! ...the salad was fantastic...shrimp a bit few but delicious. even the taters and rice was tender not dry and very tasty. A multitude of taste with a good quantity of sauce to boot. Yup Ill be back

What a freaking good place for Greek food. They made a super honest mistake in one order with the sauce and because I offered to come back and get what I need (I live 350m away from them) they gave me a HUGE pot of sauce and they also gave me some delicious cheesecake on the house. This is an establishment that's actually worth spending money on. The size of the platter is good enough to last me 2-3 days

Driver shows up without debit machine, apologizes for his mistake and says I can have the food, and asks for the receipt ..to show his boss... 30 min later I have loud aggressive knocking at my door with a guy saying ok I have a machine. You can pay now. Horrible communication with staff. Excuses as to why the machine was forgotten (clearly written in details paying debit) AND THEN they tell me I’m wrong. Sorry yorgos im done with you goofs.

This restaurant rents it's space out to illegal business. The owner puts your health at risk by allowing strangers to use his kitchen. In oarcto make. RAW pet foods. The care nothing for your health or safety. The owner also sets up fake businesses using the name of real, established business, to try and ride on the name. He has tried to rip off primal pet foods (he uses primal instinct as a name) AND the famous Damascus bakery in sudbury.

Ordered through Skip The Dishes. Not only did it take over an hour and a half to arrive, the food wasn't that great. The chicken was over cooked and dry. I was expecting a nice shrimp skewer to be with it but it was over-fried butterfly shrimp - and only three of them. The potatoes had a fake lemon flavour to them. The gravy tasted smoky (?) and was barely touched. By the time the food arrived, it was barely warm. Do not recommend.

Front cash was rude to me (young kid), food over priced and cold. Bought their chicken poutine and it was lacking gravy and added little chicken. The most dry poutine I have ever had. Period. Wouldn't recommend going there for food. Foodies beware that Yorgo's is lousy and so is their customer service and food. Take your hard earned money else where because I completely regret purchasing. 1 star isnt low enough.

The food was not what I was expecting. It was like what i would expect if I ordered Greek food at an Irish pub. Not authentic at all. The spices were put on top of my meal and dry... It was like a club house seasoning... lots of salt. The tzaziki was not tzaziki. It had a mayo-type consistency like Rene's salad dressing dip. I wanted yogurt tzaziki not some dip. Disappointed. Wouldn't recommend their Greek food.

Filthy place ordered a Caesar salad first time found a hair in it didn't think anything of it second time made the same order found hair again called and complain the owner or the cook didn't want to do anything about it two large Cesar salads $30 later. When I took the salads back he wanted to charge me for the chicken again, so left everything and walked out. Never going to this dirty dump again.

Easily my fave place for takeout- everything is fresh, very well cooked by guys that know what the heck they're doing and it's always great value for the money. I get Yorgo's almost every week.

My wife and I ordered from Yorgo's for the firat time for dinner tonight, a chicken souvlaki platter and a small combo pizza. We were pleasantly surprised. We are originally from Cornwall. Not much of a town but the pizza is the best, Since we`ve moved to Ottawa we had a very hard time finding a good pizza place. Well we hit the jackpot at Yorgo. Finally a place where we can enjoy good food.

Delicious! This place exceeded my husband and I's expectations. We got a flyer in the mail, and decided to give this place a shot. Crunchy, and generous amount of calimari. Pita wrap was very refreshing and healthy. We also got the donair pizza, and oh my goodness I think we will be back here as regulars for pizza now! Garlic sauce is very authentic. Overall, we had an amazing experience!

Really enjoyed our meal yesterday. Normally, I order a wrap, but felt like a pizza. The pizza on the front looked good. It was House Special. My wife had the wrap. Their food has always been good each time we went. However, the pizza was excellent. I thought the price high..$25 for large, but it made up for it by the amount of toppi ngs they put on the pizza. We will definitely return.

After waiting an hour for my order (a pita wrap), I called to see where it was. it had not even left citing they were waiting for a driver. How cold would that have been when I got it! And really, over an hour for a wrap! Listen, you forgot my order, own up to it. I can’t stand dishonesty. I won’t be ordering from them ever again. I live two streets over.

When I walk into a quiet restaurant and order and they tell me about 10-15m, it makes me happy. It means my food is actually being made, not just pulled from a drawer. Little things matter, that's why Yorgos gets 5 stars from me. The food is amazing, the staff are excellent, but that above-and-beyond approach are what take you from four to five. Well done!

DON'T BE A FOOL LIKE ME AND ORDER ANY DESSERTS FROM THIS PLACE.. I ORDERED THE BLACK FOREST CAKE AND IT WAS ULTRA STALE.. I COULDN'T EVEN BREAK THE BOTTOM LAYER WITH MY FORK.. Incredible Delicious Amazing Pizza!!! Best we have had in Ottawa and area, Really! The pictures are true and that is how we discovered Yorgo's! Awesome pizza place, I usually order down the road at willy's but got sick of them and this place is amazing the pizza is great and I've tried the salads and other things and they all taste fresh and good. Delivery is extremely fast I only live like a five minute drive and three times I've ordered so far the order was here withing 25-30 minutes.

My first time trying them out last night, and i must say, the food was AMAZING! The staff were friendly and the service was great. After picking up my food from clyde avenue and driving home to bayshore, the souvlaki platter and poutine were still piping hot!! My wife and I are now hooked! They will definately be seeing my face more often :)

So my friend always recommends this place for me so i finally tried it. And OMG best lamb and prok wrap ive had in my life. After almost a year of avoiding a place that is my friends go to joint. I feel like i should of listened a year ago. Will be ordering more often. Only reason i didnt give it 5 stars i waited over an hour for 2 wraps.

Longstanding Customer: These guys were originally by Lincoln Fields Mall, the Carling Avenue side, and they were one of the few great places. They moved to Baseline and Merivale, but kept their quality and service. Now they are also in Barrhaven. We love them! This is our default place to order from and the best place for gyro!

Literally had 2 olives and 2 tiny pieces of feta that would be too small to put in a mouse trap. You have to go out of your way to be that stingy.

Terrible service in regards to delivery, they called me four times to tell me that their delivery driver forgot an item, it took them an hour to finally get my order right, took them 2 hours to finally bring everything that I ordered, half the food was frozen, or under cooked. Would never order from them ever again!!!!!!!

Don't call this Greek! Greek salad full of lettuce 2 olives 2 tomatoes fake 10 gr fake feta. No olive oil. White rice burned plain potatoes. Wrap had no onion. Tzatziki no garlic the pita was dry. No taste. Staff was fast and helpful. Yorgos Greek food? More like hospital food. Not Greek. please

They have great food, but terrible service. They pay no attention to any kind of special order. DO NOT order from them if you have any kind of food allergy or sensitivity because they ignore those requests. The delivery is ridiculously slow. Pick it up yourself or order from somewhere else.

Terrible delivery service, use to be good but recently has gotten worse. Was told 45 minutes, next thing we know 75 minutes later. A phone call and they did a brush off, when the food arrived it was barely warm and missing items. Never again, be warned. The food is not worth the wait.

UPDATE: While the Pizza IS good, the last month accuracy on everything else has gone right downhill: from missing items, to wrong sauces on shawarmas and downright cold fries. I've called, complained, nothing changes. Switching to Argos

The first time I tried this place I fell in love! I actually had to get it every week or every other week. The ingredients are so fresh and tasty and great prices too, and the staff are very friendly too! This is my favourite Greek place in Ottawa that I've tried so far ❤

This is our go to for fast delivery service and high standards for their salads and chicken. After repeated orders I have yet to see anything that would change my opinion. They consistently provide the freshest salads that I have seen in the west end of the city.

I did Uber eats a few weeks ago.. pizza was decent, salad was ok, dip was weird. They forgot to deliver our wrap we ordered and when we called and waited on hold for a while to try to resolve it they said we are too far for them to deliver

Have ordered twice in one month. First time it Took a long time to get our food. This past weekend I ordered the Greek chicken salad and in a few hours had a severe bout of food poisoning. I don’t think I’ll be ordering from here again.

Best take out and delivery spot in Ottawa hands down! They have everything, from greek platters to wings and pizza. Tried many items, everything is delicious! They also opened a new location in Barrhaven, we highly recommend Yorgo's !

Yummy! Food arrived quickly and was hot and everything was delicious. The portions were large and the marinated chicken kebab was moist and tender. The salad was fresh. Wraps were a hit with the kids. Really good food and good value.

Great pizza and great customer service. I was accidentally charged double the total from the delivery driver due to a mistake with the credit card machine. The following week i was delivered a pizza free of charge due to the mistake!

Normally a decent place- known to have long delivery times. Tonight however, nearly 1.5hr to deliver and our food upon arrival was soggy and nearly inedible. Definitely not satisfied with any aspect of the delivery or food tonight.

This place has hands down the best food I’ve ever tasted. Out of 10 I’d give this place 15 stars. The employee’s are gentleman and couldn’t be kinder. I am very pleased with this restaurant and I will definitely come again !!!!

I made an order on Uber Eats. The order was being "prepared" for about 40ish mins then they cancelled it. The restaurant then closed. I don't care if you don't want to make the order, but you can at least cancel it right away.

Good food and portions, friendly service, clean resturant, and quick service, but I went in yesterday July 7th to pick up my food around 8:30pm and the two gentle men there did not have masks on even though its mandatory.

Ordered the Steak Umm, that sub was really good. It was one of the hottest sub I've ever had. It was nice and freshly made. The service here is awesome too. They are friendly. I would recommend this place for other food!

Wow very good food tonight from Yorgos we love Greek food and Yorgos is very good at making it we had chicken and beef skewers rice potatoes and salad. If you want so Greek fast food it's fabulous.

I dropped in for a quick takeout item while waiting for a bus, and they were able to help me select a menu item that would be done in time for me to catch the bus. The gyro wrap was really yummy!

Chicken souvlaki with extra veggie skewer is my usual. Great potatoes (not too fatty or salty) and salad is always fresh. Vegetarians don't miss out here with the spanakopita, which is amazing.

I ordered a small Yorgo’s supreme pizza tonight and it was by far the best pizza I have ever had! I’ve been ordering from Yorgo’s on Clyde for more than 10 yrs. Great food!

I order from here constantly! I love the chicken souvlaki platter and my BF gets Tandoori chicken platter. As well another favorite is the Spanikopita. MUCH LOVE 5 STARS

What a treat, they must be a specialty for the Souvlaki. I don't write reviews often, but they do make a platter to remember! see you next week!

I'm usually not a big fan of Greek food -- I've really overdone it in the past -- but this place is great. And like everyone else says, their lamb is delicious!

Had a beef wrap for around $8. Wasn't even real meet. It was the worst wrap in my life. 2 stars because never tried anything else. And I think will never do.

Awesome food and great staff, used to work next door to these guys, I recommend anyone to try their food, don't forget to get a side of waffle fries yummy!

Platter was meh (could be better could be worse) - also I’m not caught up on all the rules but most employees weren’t wearing masks.

Not what I expect from a Greek restaurant, could be a little more authentic with minimal effort ie. seasoning, spices, ingredients.

Fast delivery. Wraps could be cheaper They are $7. I get the same wraps at Cosmos for $5 with tax. Regardless, they are very good.

Used to be great, but after 3 times of forgetting items and having to sit and wait for items to show up while food gets cold. Done

I've had a craving for Greek food all day and this definately satisfied it. Food is delicious and the portions are really big.

First time ordering from here. Their chicken wrap was so amazing. And I loved their rice pilaf. Food arrived soooooo fast.
