I have been going to York Mills Spa for a few years––the service is pretty efficient, orderly and prompt. I assumed they prioritize cleanliness too, considering they make patrons take off their shoes and change into slippers when accessing the facility. However, I’m not sure if that is reflected in other areas of the operation. On my first visit, the massage therapist assigned to me was coughing and sniffling the entire time. I didn’t make a deal of it since she appeared to be mindful and was not just coughing into the air. However today, I noticed something more concerning. While waiting before my appointment to use the washroom, I heard someone in a massage room repeatedly sneezing. When they exited the room, I noticed they were a massage therapist. She then went into the hallway and sneezed two more times into the air with zero attempts made to cover her mouth: no hand was brought to her face, no elbow was brought to her face, she didn't turn to the side––nothing! She expelled her germs into the air in a very careless and obnoxious way. No attempt was made to spray the air with disinfectant afterwards. This is an area where both patrons and other massage therapists are frequently going back and forth, She is clearly visibly going to work sick, not wearing a mask or face shield, and making no attempt to cover her incessant sneezes. I approach the front desk to inform them that one of the massage therapists seems to be sick and is sneezing into the air without covering her mouth. The receptionist looks annoyed and just says “Okay…” Almost as if to say “So what?” I told her I am letting her know since this is an area people are constantly going back and forth in, and she should be more careful. The receptionist just tells me “Well, she’s not your massage therapist anyway.” I explain that’s fine but she still shouldn’t be sneezing multiple times into the air without making any attempt to cover her mouth. The receptionist then says “She did cover her mouth.” So I told her I literally just watched her sneeze twice into the air with her arms down and that she made zero attempt to cover her mouth and that shouldn’t be acceptable. The receptionist then says she'll let her know. She seemed unbothered by my concern and clearly didn't think it was a concern worth bringing up, based on her highly dismissive reaction. I was disgusted by the sneezing into the air, and even more appalled by the nonchalant reaction when I approached the front desk. If they don’t think it's a problem to show up to work while sick during a pandemic with no mask and no face shield, sneeze into the air, and then touch patrons, I would hate to imagine how that lack of cleanliness would translate to other areas. Especially for the patrons coming into the service who are at-risk (with autoimmune illnesses, the elderly, etc). How can I be sure you are washing your hands before touching patrons? Or sterilizing/washing the massage beds, towels, sheets, hot stones, rags and heating pads after each use? I appreciated this place for its efficiency and convenience, but unfortunately, I will have to find a new spa. I cannot come back to a place with this kind of attitude when it comes to cleanliness and an even more careless attitude in addressing customer concerns. Also, for the actual massage, be wary, when you order a hot stone massage, it is like 10% hot stone, and 90% oil. I had so much oil poured onto me, it felt like it was biblical times and they were preparing my body for burial or something. There is no reason why you need 15 pumps of oil (yes, I counted) for one area! The rags that are used to wipe you after being baptized in oil feel like rough cloths used to wipe the floors. They lose their heat after 10 seconds, so the wiping just feels like being scrubbed with a cold, wet, floor rag. On several occasions our massage therapists were loudly chatting and laughing. It’s fine to speak briefly but to be talking non-stop & laughing at the top of your lungs while patrons are trying to relax is high-key disrespectful.

It was actually my birthday yesterday and I decided to show myself some love so I decided to get a spa treatment at this wellness centre. I went on at 5pm and the moment I entered the location it felt pretty Zen. From the quiet environment, to the calm music, the nice view from the sitting area on the 2nd level. Everything felt good. Then came in my massage therapist Vivien. Vivien has years of experience and you could tell. She politely gave me instructions on how to begin (it was my first time in my life getting a massage treatment so I had no clue and I was nervous!) then we went to the room, it was dimly lit and so pleasant smelling. Everything smelt clean and fresh. I opted for package 1 which included the massage, foot treatment and facial. Then she asked me what areas I wanna target for the massage and I said back and shoulders. Vivien took great care of me, the hot stone was so so therapeutic with the music combined I was transported to another realm no cap. It brought back memories of when my mother used to give me oil massage for my scalp/hair (I'm Indian so my mom did that). It was a very very relaxing treatment and I enjoyed every bit of it. All my stress that was in my lower back has gone, I wish I could do this every week. Best birthday ever and my therapist was kind to even tell me the other treatments for my back and the ones for glowing skin. Special thanks to her and the York Mills Wellness centre. Will def recommend to my friends and come again.

Love this place!!! I’ve been coming to York Mills Spa for 8 years now and I’ve never had a bad experience. It’s always ultra relaxing and clean. The staff are always professional and so very kind. And their prices are very reasonable to make repeated regular visits affordable. They have an appointment request system on their website which is great for planning for future appointments more than 2 days ahead, otherwise I’d suggest just calling. They’re very responsive and really great at trying to fit you in. They have great masseuses, wonderful spa packages with massages, manicures and pedicures and facials! Keep in mind though that they only do normal polish, no shellac, but I do still highly recommend their massage and facial packages . They have a variety of massages and facials to choose from and are always so very relaxing!! Even better is they can accommodate couples and small groups and everyone always has a wonderful time. They’re not just a great place for relaxation either. They offer a bunch of other beauty services like micro blading, waxing, etc and they’re my go to for when I’m injured and need some RMT Massage muscle relief. My friend even comes for acupuncture and cupping and even though she moved to Aurora she still comes to York Mills Spa.

WOW. My second time here and another amazing session. Massages are new to me but my first time was very welcoming and I was surprised with hot stones during my massage which felt so soothing. For my second time today, I booked a full body massage. Hot stones were used again which I can now say I love. I've been dealing with a wrist injury and wasn't going to mention it since I've already been doing physio and was worried to aggravate it. After my masseuse worked on one arm/wrist, I decided to tell her only because she was going to do my other injured arm. She asked for my permission to massage it and IT IS NOW FIXED. She kept checking in with me to ask where the problem was and whether I felt ok with what she was doing. The pain is gone when I move my thumb and I am so astounded. I've been dealing with this for 2 months and been doing physio 1-2x a week. She made such a big difference with one massage. She told me it'll feel even better in 1-2 days which I am so happy about. I will 100% keep coming here and highly recommend it. I also like to fully relax and be quiet and both times I was here, both employees were understanding of that and checked in with me politely without making me feel uncomfortable at all. Thank you!

This was my first ever spa experience, and I am so glad I chose York Mills Spa & Wellness Centre. Immediately upon arrival, I was warmly greeted and told to wait a few minutes. The place is exquisitely clean. The music is relaxing and the atmosphere created is one of calm and tranquility, just as it should be. Right on schedule for my 2PM appointment, I was ushered to my room. I was tended to by Grace. She instilled within me a sense of ease and comfort. Light conversation and friendly chatter, with her delicate hands she worked her magic on my face and made sure I was feeling no discomfort during the extraction phase. Just my luck, it was raining outside today, and the gentle pitter patter of rain drops against the window, with the soothing piano music, a heated blanket, amazing service, all made for a truly delightful spa experience. Have I even mentioned how affordable the prices are?! You must try this place out; because after the whole procedure, I came out looking and feeling like a million dollars. I cannot thank Grace and the spa enough! Keep doing what you're doing; I am definitely coming back.

My experience with York Mills Spa began in 2019, and I would like to continue sharing it here. York Mills Spa was the first spa/facial experience I had ever received. I was completely new to the world of facial services and always hesitated to attempt any because I was unsure how my skin would react. Let's just say, since 2019 I have never looked back and am super glad I chose this place. For facial services, I received the majority of them from Jenny. She has been super considerate of me and what my needs are and adjusts what type of service is best suitable. Each time I have not regretted my decision as my skin has improved so much over the years. Not only is Jenny super friendly, but the front desk is also welcoming and extremely accommodating. I have already recommended a few of my friends to visit if they ever want to receive any facials or spa treatments. I will continue to visit in the near future, and recommend others to do so as well. Would highly recommend York Mills Spa to others.

My husband and I went for a couples massage and was left to wait 20 minutes on the massage tables. Two times I had to leave the room in a robe to ask what’s going on.. in which the second time I was told one of the masseuse has diarrhea (tmi).. we would’ve appreciated if we were informed in advance that there was some emergency or delay.. they rightfully agreed to shorten our 90min massage to 60 due to our time constraints, but we were unable to enjoy the massage for multiple reasons. For one, my masseuse without the bowel issue came in and asked if we were Chinese and when I said no, she proceeded to speak Chinese to the other masseuse. The techniques she used were very hasty and I left feeling very disappointed and unsatisfied about the whole experience. While we appreciated the front desk staff’s apology, we will not be returning.

I was gifted a spa package 1, which included a hot stone massage, facial, and hot oil on feet. My therapist (I think her name was Brenda?) did an amazing job. She asked which areas I'd like her to focus on, and she really took the time to break down my tight knots. She made sure the pressure she was using was fine. It was my first time getting a hot stone massage, and I think it's a game changer. The facial made my skin so fresh, clear and dewey. I think we need facials just as often! I also appreciated that they were ready for me upon my arrival. That's how all appointments should be treated! :) I highly recommend this clinic. My mom's been here too, and loved her services.

I felt discriminated against by the front office secretary. I have a great insurance plan and was told that I’d have to pay up front even though this spa does direct billing. I had arrived late due to traffic but managed to fill out the appropriate forms yet I was told that the insurance form would take too long. And that wasn’t true. My appointment time was changed by the company and I rushed to accommodate them only to be faced with disappointment with the front line secretary. I would never support a business that has terrible frontline staff. The massage was great but the therapist would be my only reason to rate a 5.

I visited this spa this past Saturday Feb 11th with my daughter and daughter-in-law for early birthday celebrations for the two of them. We all received package 1 which included a lovely massage, facial and foot oil treatment. The whole experience was absolutely amazing. The spa it self was clean and all the women were so happy and pleasant. The spa technicians we had were Mabel, Vivien and Pinky. I will definitely recommend this spa to everyone I know and will for sure be back in the near future!

York Mills Spa is likely the best spa around! My partner and I visited today and took the couple's package 2 which included the hot stone body massage, scalp massage and facial with eye masks. We were beyond impressed with the spa and the staff, and were very relaxed by the end of the session! They are highly experienced, knowledgeable and were very attentive to us. The packages are super worth it and we will definitely be coming back! Thank you for the most rejuvenating experience!!

We’ve been coming here religiously all the way from Caledonia and this last visit was just HORRIBLE! We’ve had a not so great visit a couple years ago but we decided to try them again. Boy were we wrong! As a returning customer the customer service was not great, the massage was terrible, very painful and not efficient at all! They was alot of grabbing and no kneading , 1 min of hot stone eventhough that’s what we paid for. We won’t be wasting any more time and gas driving here!

Been trying a few places during the years but have yet to be so happy with the services as I am with York Mills Spa & Wellness Centre. Recommended to family and friends, and we had the best experience. I loved the RMT massage with hot stones, and the ladies here provide the best facial treatments with Collagen, vitamin C Oxygen infusion and so on. Spotless place, well maintained and very easy to book an appointment. Highly recommend this place to relax and rejuvenate yourself!

Haven't been to a spa since covid and was a bit nervous about it. But I've been to this spa a few times and always loved the service. They are very nice , very professional and the spa was clean. They followed all protocols and the service was amazing. I went to treat myself for my birthday with my sister. We got a 60 mins massage and facial. Massage was great and my skin was so soft after the facial. I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I will definitely be going back .

My daughter and I went to this SPA today and we were very pleased. At first we were taken aback by the fact that you have to take off shoes and wear slippers that don't look like normal spa slippers. However, once we started the procedures, we truly enjoyed the professionalism of our RMTs. I got spa package #1 while my daughter got only a massage. I must say that RMTs' skills are top notch. My therapist's name was Vivian and she was truly amazing. Will be coming back again.

i had a bad experience. i was put in a couple's room for massage because they had no single bed rooms available. then in the middle of the massage someone walked in to get some materials from the room i was getting massage done. i felt extremely uncomfortable and it was breach of privacy. there was no asking permission to come and no apologies for walking in and being there for good 5 minutes while my massage is going on. Probably not going back there.

I had worst experience with the booking. I was cancelled last minute whereas I had confirmed booking. I called multiple times to book but no response and finally book online. Their website is misleading they show all dates are free so I booked online but when I reached there it’s was already booked in fact for whole day. My question is if it’s already booked why can’t you update that in website which show available all the time?

Website is super misleading, I would only book if you are calling by phone. Their website has open appointments you can book and sends a confirmation email, but the appointment is only actually confirmed if they call you. I would recommend they update their site to show no availability when there is no availability. The atmosphere did seem nice and clean though, so I’m sure if you are able to book it would be a good experience.

I come here for my massages, facials and waxing needs. Vivian is my favorite for facials, her hands are very gentle and she gives lots of useful advice for skin care. Everyone there is absolutely lovely from reception and all the staff, they are all professional and friendly. They remember their clients and they are happy with what they do. I definitely recommend coming here if you're still undecided.

Been coming here for a few years, receptionist is extremly rude and unprofessional. I will not be returning mainly because of her horrible and unwelcoming attitude. On the other hand the RMT are usually very pleasant however the recent one although she was friendly it was probably the worst massage i ever had. There was no pressure at all only rubbing with cream over my body.

I had an absolute wonderful time here. I got a hot stone treatment with a facial. The place was very clean and the lady that was doing my service was super friendly and funny. The service was great! We felt relaxed. However, the receptionist is kinda rude. There was a little misunderstanding with the receipt. I know I should have clarified it with her. But I don't think she needs to be rude about it. She just literally needs to reprint another one and change the name on the other receipt. It's not that difficult.

I've been there many times. The massage therapists specially Grace, gigi and Mr. Chi were very professional. I got mix of relaxing and hot stone massage. Price was reasonable. $95/1hr The area was clean and quiet, and it has free parking. Really great experience. Highly recommended.
