Very disappointing customer service experience, I won't go back! Like the scene out of Pretty Woman! Here is my experience; We just moved to Glenora from Okotoks AB. I have shopped exclusively at a boutique store in Okotoks (Ginger Laurier...its awesome!) and since we have moved I have been looking for a similar experience. I went to Yu Fashion to purchase a dress and jewelry for my husbands Christmas party. I was with my 2 year old daughter. I'm lucky enough to be a stay at home mother of 3 (2 were in school), which I love! My kids come with me whenever I go. We were dressed casually with puffy winter jackets on cause 'Baby it's cold outside'! When we walked in the lady took one look at us and looked away, back on her phone and turned her back to us. Judged from the first glance. I actually thought she was a shopper at that point. I was looking through the clothes when my daughter said she needed to go to the bathroom. So I looked around the store for a staff member to ask if she could use the bathroom. In fact, it was the lady that was on her phone, she wasn't a customer at all! I asked her if my daughter could use the washroom. She barely glanced up from her phone and with a quick, judgemental tone said 'No, she can use the bathroom next door'. She turned around and helped another customer. At that point I decided to leave. Not a comfortable situation at all. She never did offer to help me look for clothing or accessories. I had a terrible experience. Between her judgemental glances and tone of voice she made me feel like I wasn't good enough to be in the store. I was ready to spend a significant amount on a new outfit for my husbands Christmas party. Not only that, I was planning on having the store be my go to Boutique shop. I wont return to Yu Fashion to be ignored and judged for the way I look when I'm with my 2 year old daughter. Like the scene from Pretty Woman...... Big mistake, huge!

My experience with this store is horrible. My family and I live in the Crestwood Area and my wife loves to shop in the Yu Fashion store. It was our anniversary and needing a gift for my lovely wife, I thought I'd go to one of her favourite shops and support an Edmonton local business. MAJOR MISTAKE! When first walking into the store, I was not greeted by anyone. It seemed the staff were way too into whatever conversation they were having. As I continued to look around the store to find something for my wife, I was being stared at and yet no one still asked me if I needed any help. I finally asked if I could see something in the jewelry case, as I found a piece of jewelry my wife had shown me. The woman behind the counter looked at me and said it was probably out of my price range.... Excuse me, but how do you know what I can or cannot afford. Maybe the judgment was due to the fact I was in casual weekend clothes, I'm not entirely sure but that was outrageous. I was embarrassed and stunned by this comment. I shook my head and walked out of the store. After giving my wife a gift from a different store, I told her the story of what had happened she was utterly surprised being a regular at the store. It seems to me that this establishment treats their regular customers much more differently than any ordinary joe on the street. Yu Fashion will not be receiving my family's business anymore.

I have shopped at YU for years. Without question, YU is the only boutique a fashionista needs! From head to toe, you can find everything here. And the best part is the service you will receive....styling assistance, advice, suggestions, recommendations, for yourself or any gift giving....it’s always given enthusiastically, honestly, and with a shared joy of all things fashion. Every single time I receive a compliment on a part of my ensemble, the answer is ALWAYS the same.....”I got it at YU”.

I could go on about all the amazing things I have to say about Yu Fashion! Impeccable recognition of clients, always remembering their names and details previously shared. Extremely loyal to this local brand and a shopping experience everyone should experience in Edmonton! Their Instagram, website, buying, styling and selection is top notch. The women here are amazing and if you’re not shopping here and supporting them regularly you are missing out!

My mom and I love Yu. The gals here are SO nice and friendly and make your experience a lot of fun. They are really lovely to chat with and always remember things you were looking at or what your style is like. Their Instagram is also awesome, they do a great job on there posting lots of outfits and new arrivals. Whether we are browsing or shopping we always enjoy it here. Nice to have such a great store in the neighbourhood!

Absolutely love this boutique through and through! Fay (owner) and Diane (store manager) curate an amazing selection of high end clothing, completely one of a kind in Edmonton. On top of that, all the Yu gals are so helpful, honest, and the sweetest individuals! They always give me wonderful styling advice, and I leave happy, so satisfied with all my purchases, and confident. I don’t know why anyone would shop anywhere else.

I want to commend the staff at Yu Fashion on their superior customer service. I recently purchased a gorgeous barrette from Yu, only to have it break after two wears. Fortunately the staff at Yu reached out to the vendor on my behalf and, and I am having my barrette replaced free of charge! The owner has curated a beautiful selection of fashion items that feels right for just about any style. The staff has always been very friendly and go above and beyond to help.
