So I reached out for a cake right after new years when other bakeries would be closed. Yvonne was happy to make a cake despite it being a short notice and for a cake during the new years holidays. For the ordering process: It wasn't hard and Yvonne was prompt when replying to emails. Payment was processed online. The cake: Personally I was a little worried that the birthday cake was.... well pretty dam tall compared to usual cakes. Yvonne had suggested a lemon cake when I asked for a light and creamy cake. I've had this kind of cake before in previous years from bakeries and my mom (whose this birthday cake is for) isn't impressed each time but I figured I give it a shot anyways. The result? My mom loved this cake. It wasn't overly sweet like the other bakeries would make them and it was light. We had to stop my grandma who really does not like sweet much from eating too much cause hey, even the outer chocolate layer wasn't overly sweet. The design: Well.... lets just say my mom was all smiles and the flower that was tied to the cake now has a permanent spot on one of the flower pots in the dining room On a side note: Even the base the cake was on was edible so there's no worries about kids biting into it If I was going to be in Calgary again next year I'd order another cake.

Yvonne & Onose made our wedding cake for us and it was incredible! Not only was the outside beautiful, but the cake itself was delicious and everyone who had some was super impressed. We had to order a gluten free cake which can be tricky, but this cake was one of the best we've had. Following our wedding, we ordered another cake for a friends' baby shower and it was awesome! The team nailed the design, making the cake look so incredibly cute and beautiful. It was truly perfect and exactly what we envisioned! My wife (Naomi) and I had the pleasure of having Yvonne cater our cake and cupcakes for the wedding! From the very start she was delightful to work with. We met her at her house for a tasting and consolation. Every piece of cake was tried was made to perfection. We chose to do 75 cupcakes and a two-tiered wedding caked. She did phenomenal job! Our guest lined up and rushed the cupcake stand eating every last crumb the could find. So many compliments from our guests! The wedding cake was so soft and fresh. Amazing! Yvonne is so easy to work with. We went for our tasting going in thinking we were going to get red velvet cake as it is our favourite, well she blew that out of the water! She gave us 6 different types to taste and they were all so delicious! But we ended up going with butterscotch flavour and it was a huge hit! Everyone thought it was so good and unique and the design of it was stunning. Yvonne took a small idea I had in my head and really brought it to life it was stunning. She even provided the cake stand and it went perfectly with our decor. We are so thankful to Yvonne for our beautiful wedding cake and for making the process so incredibly easy!

Absolutely amazing. Cake showed up right when we discussed and it looked beautiful. It turned out one of the top flowers were a bit too heavy and fell off just before dinner, but my family was quick on the draw to repair it before we arrived. I then emailed Yvonne thanking her for the amazing cake and explained what had happened. Although she didn't have to, she offered us a 10% refund on the total and apologized for the inconvenience. Top notch customer service. Will be returning next time I need a birthday cake, or cupcakes. It was far beyond my expectations with the beauty and level of detailing. The sugar flowers were so intricate and impressive! Not only did it look gorgeous, it also tasted wonderful without being overly sweet. We received so many compliments on how gorgeous the cake was. Yvonne certainly has exceptional talent and will come highly recommended for years to some. She is super friendly, very organized and took some of the stress out of wedding planning.

PRETTY OUTSIDE- UGLY INSIDE. Cakes and cupcakes looked so good on pictures, was impressed by design and good reviews. However the taste of all cupcakes and cakes was HORRIBLE , they were super dry and frosting was too sugary and extremely sweet. People who left good reviews either never tried good cakes or they are good friends of owner. I guess I am too spoiled by European and French cake shops, and we have quite a few of them in Calgary. Honestly I don’t recommend this place to anyone, save your $$$, Costco cakes taste better. I am super disappointed

Yvonne Is amazinggg!! We met a couple times, first for the cake tasting ( huge cupcakes!) and for final details. My fiance at the time was unable to make it so she gave me a huge box of the cupcakes for him to try too. I had a picture of what I wanted the cake to look like and she was genuinely excited to make it. When I saw it at the reception I was in awe. It was perfect. She added all the elements of “ whimsical” I was looking for. I’m so happy with her great services and quality of the cake! And we have a layer left to freeze for our one year :)

When we went for our tasting, we had several flavours to choose from, which was difficult, because they were all so delicious! We ended up doing a three tiered cake with three different flavours (vanilla, chocolate, and carrot). Wow! I searched for best rated cupcakes and Yvonne’s popped up. And I am not disappointed. The cake is perfect and moist and the buttercream is fantastic! Creamy and not too sweet. My husband got me this Valentine’s Day treat box and not only was it beautiful, everything in it was delicious. I find often times these will look better than they taste but totally not true for this. The chocolate heart was cake on the inside which was a pleasant surprise, meringue was amazing, just everything was so good! I also had macarons which I didn’t take a picture of, but they were also fantastic, I had raspberry chocolate and rose (which I had no idea was a flavor, very cool!) Can’t wait to try more treats!

Love love love everything at Yvonne’s! We’ve only just moved to the Calgary area this past June but we have come to Yvonne’s for all of our family birthday cakes and any time we need a treat. The cupcakes, mini treats and their custom cakes are unreal. She made the two cakes in the photos for my husband and son and they were both delicious and so so beautiful. I’m a wedding planner by trade and as a result I’m very picky with treats but Yvonne’s has blown me away!

I pass this bakery everyday. I finally went inside to check it out. I was just in cloud 9! It has a seating area, so fancily decorated. The cake samples on the wall equally looked delicious. Then the products on sale.... My eyes drawn unto the tiny cake, I've included the pic. It's $10 and it's worth it. Super worth it. I chose a salted caramel flavour. There's popcorn on top. I love the cake itself it's soft and very moist. Definitely support local!

We used Yvonne's Delightful for our Wedding cake, it was a 3 tier masterpiece so much planning and time was devoted to us during the entire process that in itself was reason enough for the 5 stars but the consult and the staff were amazing and they all went above and beyond, they truly understood what we wanted and believe me when I say it was an intricate piece on display during our reception. Wow. Picked up 6 of the cupcakes today, coconut, earl grey and lemon. Absolutely delicious. The guests thoroughly enjoyed them, the icing (frosting?) was the perfect mix of sweet and creamy. Incredible flavours throughout, the earl grey especially. Will be back for anything cake or sweet treat related that they carry. Also, the customer service was very pleasant and I could tell they were happy to provide me with their incredible treats.

Yvonne's Delightful Cakes made ordering for my friend's birthday such a great experience. It was last minute and an international order, but they were very responsive and everything came out better than expected. While I didn't get to taste them, my friend said they were SO good. Went in there on a limb looking for a wedding cake and while there I bought the cupcakes and cheesecakes and they were hands down the best I’ve had - down to the flavours and Icing being 10/10. The lady was so nice, patient and answered all our questions, but unfortunately due to the dates we couldn’t get the wedding cake done there, but for sure it would have been amazing.

Ivonne's made cupcakes for our wedding this summer and they were a huge hit. Gorgeous and most importantly, delicious. This is a much more affordable alternative to getting a huge intricate cake. All the cupcakes were gone, my only regret is not ordering more. We got several flavors and the carrot cake was the crowd favorite!

Went here for the first time on Mother's Day, and was blown away by the bakery! The cupcakes were light, flavourful and delicious!! Highly recommended this cute little place.
