I would have definitely given this place a 5 star but unfortunately one of the girls that was seating customers this morning around 10 am completely ruined my visit there today. We walked in and there were 2 other couples waiting. We were standing at the front to put our names in and this horribly crazy girl with the worst attitude ever screams at all of us and says “okay seriously who was here first “ then she shakes her head and storms off to the kitchen… She didn’t even seat anyone at this point. Myself and the other customers were all looking at each other in shock and disgust. I can’t believe someone like that works in customer service. This girl should be fired…. Unbelievable…. We ended up getting seated by a girl named Grace. She is very sweet and our server was fantastic as well. It’s too bad the cranky girl who screamed at us ruined my rating for everyone else. Fire this idiot before you lose more customers…..

I don't get the nagitive reviews people say about this place. Yesterday was my first time coming here with my dad. Me and my dad came here for dinner. When we walked inside I couldn't believe how the inside of the restaurant looked it was absolutely mind blowing. We only had to wait 30 seconds to be seated. And our food came really fast.Our waitress was so kind and really friendly to the both of us. I got the ringer burger without tomatoes or mayo with French fries and a doctor pepper. Normally when I order French fries I find them way to salty but the fries and the burger was absolutely amazing. My dad got the goat cheese sandwich with curly fries. Me and my dad will definitely come here again thanks Zak's diner for this wonderful experience

I occasionally come here when I'm back in the area and going out with friends or family who aren't vegetarian/vegan since they have good options here. Love that they have vegan options. I always get the chicken wrap made with beyond chicken (and add the vegan Just Egg), so good! And the vegan shakes are pretty tasty too.

Decided to have an early dinner here, ordered a chocolate milkshake and the mac and cheese burger and fries. The milkshake was good , but was it worth $7.99 + tax, maybe not and a little over priced . The Mac and cheese burger was really good. The only thing I didn't appreciate was the un ripe tomatoes they served. If you can not buy tomatoes that are ripe and red, then you shouldn't be serving them. To me they are just garbage and not good to eat. Especially on a burger your charging $18.49 for. I also didn't enjoy the fries they served and I found them on the cheap side. Would I go here again, most likely not, you defiantly don't get good value for the money you pay. The atmosphere is nice, as well as the staff, the food over priced

Went to Zak's Kanata for the firs time yesterday. A friend introduced me to this place after our blood donation appt. Food was amazing, delicious. Many options to choose from but I decided to go with quasadilas Sofia this time. Yum! Forgot to take picture. Service was great too with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, clean, spacious. I highly recommend. I will definitely go back with husband and kids. I'm sure they will love it too.

This is very cozy place to come with family or friends for food. Breakfast is amazing here and coffee is always fresh! Tried egg banadict with salmon and it was amazing! Service was amazing! Definitely recommend coming here!

tried zaks for the first time this weekend. Portions are HUGE! and the food was amazingggggg. we couldn’t even finish our meals. we dined in around noon and i like the all day breakfast option because i was craving it. A little more expensive then our typical breakfast place but we’ll worth the price. Our server sabrina was really polite and friendly. the atmosphere was also really great. i like the vibe of the restaurant a lot. will be back to try the milkshakes for sure!

As you walk in, you can't help but admire the amazing decor. This is only the start however! Devon, the manager and the rest of the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and a valued guest. Zaks was super yummy and the prices weren’t too bad for what you received. I got one of their wraps with BBQ sauce and it was amazing. The only reason for four stars is because the waitress did not seem interested in being there, a lot of the staff were on their phones (Their personal phones, not the small ones they use for orders) , visibly drinking water in the kitchen around food and seemed not all there when you asked a question or talked to them. If we would of had a more enthusiastic waitress it would’ve sealed the deal for a five star rating.

Food is good and consistent in all locations but ridiculously priced for breakfast. Service is usually stellar at the market location but not at this Kanata one. Server appeared bored and borderline annoyed by any request. We got up to get our own side plate from the station at one point. If I’m paying $60 for breakfast the service and food had better be stellar. Don’t be back to this location.

The milkshakes here are amazing! I highly recommended the strawberry milkshake I recommend this place for breakfast or if you’re craving breakfast for dinner like I was! The potatoes were well seasoned, the eggs were cooked nicely (though my egg popped but they offered to make me another one) and overall a good classic breakfast. The boneless chicken wings on the other hand tasted off and we’re not as enjoyable

Went to Zac's for dinner and was super impressed with all of their vegetation options, minus the additional fees for substitutes, a little too pricey! Solid greasy spoon type dinner, went for breakfast and it was super fast. Breakfast sausages are a must and I love the tater tots. Pacifica could have used more smoked salmon as I felt a little cheated there. I also would have seared the tomatoes so as to add a little flavor to the raw unripe flavor. All in all a good meal and nice atmosphere.

A very good place to have a breakfast or brunch. All their breakfast options are delicious, particularly omelettes and egg bennies. My kids love their pancakes. Service is fast and waiters are friendly. The coffee they serve is a bit weak to my taste. The place gets really busy around 10:30am on the weekends.

Had a wonderful experience at this location. Staff was great and the portions are insane, amazi g value for the price. The waiter even offered to cut up a gummy worm for my son's ice cream, above and beyond. One of my favourite Zak's. Update 07/06: Had breakfast, equally awesome. Classic cold brew is wonderful and the Zaks omelet is packed with veggies. Delicious food and amazing service as usual.

Zak's diner was exactly what I had expected in a diner. Quick breakfast, and hot coffee... And went you're woken up before dawn by your kids, that's what you want! Service was excellent. Server came by often to top up coffee and check on us. Food was good. We got the kids chocolate chip pancakes, which came with 4 pancakes. An order of home fries. And a traditional egg breakfast. We'd come back

Love this place. Good and tasty breakfasts. My kids love their pancakes. Note, sometimes when the restaurant is full, the delivery of the order may be delayed. In any case, the portions are delicious, large and satisfying. Having breakfast in this place, you can safely walk until the evening without feeling hungry.

Went to Zaks a number of times, in the mornings and in the evenings. The food was good,but the service could improve a bit. Ordered smoke meat platter and breakfast club platter. Great spot to grab a quick meal. They serve all day breakfast which is hard to find in Kanata. Amazing staff!
