I came in for the school holiday special with my 4 youngest children. We had the most amazing time, the kids loved the bowling and arcade, and the family food pack was delicious. The service was excellent. As we were leaving I headed up to the desk and I booked 2 lanes for the following week for 10 people at 2pm. We had so much fun that I thought it would be a perfect activity to do with a group of us. I arrived the next week with my kids and some of their friends for a fun bowling session... only to find out that the person who booked us in did not book us in for 2pm. And there was not enough space for us. After driving over an hour to get there, half of our group couldn't bowl and had to leave. It was really upsetting and I don't understand how this even happened. The man serving was very apologetic and I understood there was nothing that could be done. The food was good but the service from a young lady left much to be desired. She clearly hated being there that day. After telling us there was no way we could get our drink take away (because it took her 25 minutes to even consider starting it and by then we had finished our game) the young man there came over and said yes, he will put it in a takeaway cup and bring it to us at the arcade seating. After our fantastic visit the week before, the second visit wasn't great. Maybe next time.

The kids love this place. We ordered the chips and they were yummy. The online ordering system is really easy to use and very helpful. One of the staff was super helpful and helped us out on a few occasions & I am really happy with her service. (Sorry can’t remember her name) On the negative side, 1. On arrival as we didn’t pre book the lady at the counter said that a lane will free up in five minutes and that she will come get us when it’s ready. So we sat at a table almost next to the counter and waited for roughly 20min but no one called us. (Also the lady was missing as well) so I ended up speaking to another staff who immediately set us up. 2. I noticed that the bowling balls don’t get sanitised as they were super greasy and cross contamination can easily occur specially when you are sharing the same balls with the opposite lane and every one is eating and bowling. I guess we as customers need to do our part in being safe. Or maybe have sanitiser stations at every booth.

I've been over charged on the 5th may. Then the manager tried to refund me the over paid amount and she deducted it from my bank. I rang zone bowling weeks ago with a complaint and I'm still yet to get my refund or have contact with the store we visited with my sick child's go fund me money that the public of Australia paid to her to go bowling! And zone bowling have never responded to me in regards to fixing this nor after numerous phone calls do I have any resolution. Never again shall we use this service while visiting hobart, and of course, my child got extremely sick afterwards with Mrsa, so how often are the balls and equipment being cleaned at the moonah Centre? After having a disaster of a birthday party here we thought we'd give it another go on a casual visit, well what a mistake. Severely understaffed, food took almost an hour, 40 minutes for coffees to arrive, and told the QR code ordering doesn't work at the same pace as counter orders so those who ordered on the code were still waiting for their food after everyone else had finished. Food that did arrive late was barely lukewarm. Staff members condescending when following up on missing items. Surrounded by many other unhappy people regarding time taken to be served and lanes freezing. Zone bowling please review your business practices, this place has so much potential if adequately staffed, with the presence of mature adults who don't call you 'darling' constantly.

Great atmosphere, great air conditioning. Staff on arrival where helpful. We did three rounds of bowling and ordered food through the app on the first round. After waiting for about 20 minutes I went up to grab the drinks as it had been some time, the young lady was making drinks as I arrived but didn’t acknowledge me. I asked about the drinks as it had been 20 minutes for the soft drinks, she said she’s been busy but she would make the drinks while I was up there. I asked if the food had much more of a wait and she said there was a large order in front of us and the food “would take a couple to 15 minutes longer”. We had almost finished all three rounds of bowling and waited for the fries which took 45 minutes to arrive ‍♀️

Lanes are way to oily. Doesn't give a chance for the balls to curve. Balls are way to oily from the lanes and left oil all over my hands. So much oil that you can see it on your hands. Ball was slipping out of my hands as I was holding it. Took 30 minutes to get our drinks and still didn't get our food. Milk drinks didn't even have any flavour. Also stuffed up one of our drinks. Worker that eventually gave us our drinks didn't look like he enjoyed being there and just dumped them down without saying anything. Everything is overpriced as well. Do not recommend at all. Never coming back. Can officially say the worst bowling alley I've ever been to

We love bowling and were excited to have a kids party here. Unfortunately our experience wasnt an overly positive one. Very disorganised, clash of parties saw us asked to leave the party room early. Food we ordered and paid for didnt arrive. Host was a sweet girl but didnt really host or engage with the group other than to tell the kids to hurry up. Given the price very disappointing experience. Girl behind the front desk was great and would have been much more comfy in the hosting role. So much potential so hopefully it was just an off day. ****As a MINIMUM i would like a refund for the food i paid for but did not receive on the day*****

Not a bad experience for the kids they enjoy themselves. The issue is we go there as a family quite a bit and we always get the same lane which ain't much of a problem except we had to put our multiple orders of chips on our seats cause there is nowhere to put your food on the last lane. Also lane bumper rail kept getting blocked up and the kids were getting gutter balls then the bumper rail would activate. Another thing sometimes like yesterday I had to bowl my turn 3 times cause it wasn't registering, so that last lane on the right hand side is really faulty, and with the price you pay just service them a bit.

People can play bowling here if they want, as advertised. Accessible parking and access to all relevant areas via ramps as well as stairs. The flashy lights and music might be a bit overwhelming for people with sensory processing disorders, but Zone Bowling seem to have times where it is less overwhelming. There aren't really healthy food options available at their Kiosk, but there are other places to buy food within walking distance. The food that they do have for sale is able to be ordered via QR code (with Smartphone) and delivered to the seating area of your lane, which is convenient.

Very bad experience. We are from Sydney and were 7and went there for holiday. It is so weird about the rule this bowling club has even though its a branch of AMF which we have it in Sydney too. The rule here is number of people who enter compulsory have to play the game buying the separate game for each individual. They are not even allowed to view. We said we would like to buy the double game for 4, but the lady refused and said we need to buy 7 for each individual even though rest of our group members wouldn’t like to play. So unfortunately we need to leave the place without playing.

I haven't been here for at least ten years. Our group booked three lanes on a Friday winter night. Wowsers, this place was hella busy at 1830, school holidays? There's a good selection of pre-mixed drinks, beer and wine to select from. I also recommend their nachos I stupidly only chose one game which is like ten rounds. So much fun. I'm already asking friends if they'll come back with me as I'm not waiting another decade to return! Oh BTW, the multiple hours drinks special is for corporate bookings. They did have a four certain cans for $42 special though.

Heaps of bowing ball sizes and colours to choose from, plenty of lanes available. Heaps of food and drink options including milkshakes or alcohol for the adults. Food and drink were a bit overpriced and the extra cost paid for the upgraded package was not worth it if you don’t have children as it did not let you play all arcade games only the ones you could win tickets on and you needed to pay extra to upgrade to keep the tickets won. Overall if you’re going just to bowl and not to eat or play arcade games then I can’t really fault it.

I am terrible at bowling... but that's beyond the point. The facilty is alright, no obvious problems. Food is overpriced, and honestly, so is the experience. They also have a new token thing for the little games that you win tickets on, which was confusing. As far as bowling goes; I feel the experience could use some updating to make it more valuable. Better customer service, including checking in on customers would probably be a good idea. Some newbies will appreciate some "pro tips" as bowling isn't all that simple to do well.

Had lots of fun bowling and will go back but the food is pretty bad. We ordered Mexican loaded fries which were just chips with avo, mayo and bucket of jalapenos. The chicken burger was burnt and the zone burger was given to the wrong person so we ordered another and then it had at least half of a red onion on it. Food and drinks are also very over priced. Also, I didnt see any sanitiser for the balls or where you sit and play. So everyone is eating and drinking and using the balls with no sanitiser. The toilets were gross to.

In need of serious improvement in every single aspect. Standards have fallen by a long way in recent years and have continued to fall. Lacks the charm and welcoming atmosphere it once had. Appears shabby and uncared for. Company more interested in jamming the venue with flashing lights and gimmick games rather than spending money on proper maintenance of the bowling lanes and machines to keep them up to proper standards. More interested in glowbowling and kids parties than the weekly league and tournament bowlers. Poor.

Customer service was great, but, the lane we were in (15) didn't operate properly. The skittles were not cleared after my friend had her turns and the customer service officer cleared it, but, it did not move to my name, messed us up badly. It was disappointing when it was the first time on a long time bowling. Costing $20 each, we were told that the technician would take a look, no compensation for next time was offered. Very disappointing for both of us, the final scores were incorrect because of so many glitches.

First time I had been here for 20 odd years, and it's much the same as remembered, but updated. Was very busy for a Saturday night, was a surprise people still bowled ?? You can order food from the lanes using your mobile phone and it will be delivered to you in a short time, their hotdogs and fries were tasty and reasonably priced, alcohol also available. Staff were all friendly, helpful and nice. A arcade with a few games to play - was also popular with people exchanging tickets for prizes.

First time ever going bowling for me and my gf, so we weren't the best but we enjoyed our time. We got the Super Fun Pass. The scoring system for the lane we got on wasn't working properly and since we didn't know how the scoring worked, we thought it was fine until we asked about it and then we realised there was a problem. So the staff moved us to another lane working well and gave us a retry of our two games! The staff was very knowledgeable on things and helpful. Definitely check it out.

I’m applauded at the service “johnsey” provided to our group of 10, A lady had pushed inline after we had been waiting 5 or so minutes to be served, my wife notified that she had pushed in but ol mate still continued to serve her first not a big deal but then found out the lady actually worked at the bowling alley and they was having a good ol’ time while we waited. We’ll return again but walk straight back out if either of those are working.

Had an awesome 10th Birthday Party for the grandson here @ Zone Bowling Moonah. Elvine was our party host & she did a fantastic job of handling 14 10year old kidsFood & drinks were great & generous portions. Venue nice & clean, pleasant staff. All kids & parents had a fab time & no clean up for us So a win win all round. Recommended for any group function

We were quite happy our little party of four, until during a bloody pandemic they start putting different groups of 5+ people all together on one bowling set. Excuse me for thinking that during a pandemic (even if current cases are low) that the 1.5 still applies. We came here thinking it could be safe and fun. Apparently covid-19 never happened in this bowling facility.

The place and service in general is good, however in terms of food we paid for nachos with guacamole, they were extremely overpriced. We didn’t get guacamole and they looked just like fries with some sauce on the top. I asked the staff, they just said sorry we run out of guacamole. I was charged for the whole price and they didn’t even care serving the nachos that way.

Had an absolute blast! What an amazing place. Honestly the best place in the world. Can’t rate it highly enough. Absolute Euphoria every time I enter the Centre. The standards are so high, higher than anything I’ve ever experienced before. Air conditioning must be the best in the state. Ambient perfection temperature. The service as quick as a Victor two stroke.

I love going here. One of the best places to go have fun with friends & family. The staff members are kind and is ready to help with any issues like a crane game isn't working or you need them to put the bumpers up on the lane. The food there is a bit on pricier side but it is sometimes worth it. I do recommend booking in advance as it can get busy

Great place for all ages and abilities to have a game of bowls and it us affordable. Food and drinks are also available. No need to bring anything and plenty of parking. Very popular, you will need to book. Good entertainment for the kids and great place to hold a kids birthday party. Wheelchair accessible but the ramp up is very steep.

Great packages on offer, well maintained bowling alley with cafe and arcade games onsite. We played after 7pm and purchased the $30pp package which was excellent value, we played multiple bowling games, had 2 X $10 vouchers to use at the bar / cafe and had unlimited access to certain arcade games for 20 mins. Lots of fun!

Overpriced garbage! Bowl league twice a week just to have lane conditions be utterly atrocious. Mention how bad the condition is to staff and they think there’s nothing wrong with them. Staff are so incompetent at their jobs and are clueless when it comes to bowling which is the sport they are meant to be promoting

For $32.9, you get 2 rounds of bowling games, 20mins of arcade (although not many options, it gives you 22 entries of games instead of limiting playing time), $10 food voucher to purchase any food/drink, plus 250 tickets to redeem fun little stuff. Limited time offer, so get in hurry xD

Place is okay but not very sanitary, balls are old and sharp, most lanes are broken with scores messing up or not reseting and people there do not put balls back so no one knows what's being used. Food is also overpriced and not very nice. A staff member Noah though was very helpful when we went there tonight.

My daughter went to her friend's birthday party, that was done at the Zone Bowling club, she was loving every moment, I could see it in her face and at the end she didn't want to go home, that was how great the place was, great customer service, good food all round cool place to take your whole family …

I tried to keep the gaming card because there still $1,20 left in the card, but the young lady who work there just keep the card and insisted there is no balance left in the card and make fun of us to her friend in the cashier and laughing at me, my wife and my kids. Unfortunately i didn’t get her name.

Great fun for the kids of all ages(4-14). Was extremely busy and loud when we attended. Ok parking. Great customer service. Arcade is small and the best machines were unavailable unfortunately. Not a fan of the card you use to play them, seemed a little rigged! Would rather win actual tickets.

Really loved zone bowling even though I am terrible at bowling staff are really friendly the only issue I have is the arcade the cards just nonstop pay for 1 game if it is in your pocket and then you have wasted whatever you put on it but sad about that but besides that was a good time …

The venue was loud and busy which is to be expected. I found the shoes that were hired out to my partner and I had a sweaty odour in them. The bowling balls were very waxy, it felt like they left some kind of residue on your fingers. Overall a fun way to spend a rainy day indoors.

I took my Daughter and Son who are 5 and 7 and we had an absolute ball (pardon pun) we only played the one game but now wish we had of played 2. Great facilities. Much more modern than my last visit there yrs ago. Very friendly staff. Had a great time and will certainly go again

Called in on a Saturday night, there was a few bowlers but not packed, staff member was friendly and helpful, the only problem was that our lanes machine was dodgy, we had to keep resetting every time as the skittles would never set properly, a pain in the arse but still had fun

Worst service I've ever had in my life. Had to wait for someone to get to the counter, then No size 10 men's shoes left. Waited 35 minutes for food, only to get the wrong order. and it wasn't busy, 30-40 people maximum WILL NEVER RETURN, would give zero if an option

Nothing special or interesting about the place, but it's clean, the shoes are clean, and the balls aren't too bad. The lanes are quite nice. They even refunded us a game when we realised we didn't have time to finish! So yeah, it's bowling and it's good.

Was great fun as always ,but considering for a good 15-20 minutes there was not a single employee In site was disappointing as we waited the customer line just grew longer and longer , someone finally came from out the back and started serving.

Great for kids. The British lady was really nice and helpful behind the counter. Great selection of arcade games to accompany the bowling. And the food was pretty decent aswell. There isn't many places for kids in Hobart. So this is great.

This is a really fun place to go to I really enjoy bowling on a Friday night or with my family it is heaps of fun; The staff that work here are really pleasant and the people that I bowl with on a Friday night are really pleasant.

Pretty good, I enjoyed my time. They should have some talcom powder available for patrons. My hands kept slipping when trying to bowl, i understand that this would probably be messy but trying to bowl with slippery hands is hard.

Looking for fun with the kids, this place is for you, a little bit pricey, with the aid of on-off rails and ball slide for kids, they won me with huge gap. Will be coming back for more challenges in the future

What you see is what you get. The customer service is overall appalling, from what once was a welcoming and fun environment, it's sad to say that the love and passion this place once had is no longer there.

Was a great experience my 3 year old boy loved it despite sticking his finger (where he shouldn't) in the ball return and nearly breaking it! A staff member was quick to come over and provide an ice pack

Good vibes, pretty clean and not just clean for a bowling alley. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Only losing a star over someone destroyed one of the male cubicles to biblical proportions. Wow.

Good fun. Staff were very professional and friendly. There were one or two technical hitches, but everything was resolved promptly. Plenty of parking, disabled access, enjoyable for the whole family.

Finally Had fun since we left Sydney. It is bit pricey than Mainland but at least we have a place to have fun though. Will go again. Time slot is limited and needed to book prior to get the spot.

There are many lanes & the place is very clean. There’s also an arcade, and table service is available at your lanes. The car park is massive and you never have to worry about not finding a spot

Unfortunately childhood memories of $5.50 buying you 2 games, shoe hire, hot dog, fries and a coke are no longer realistic. Still, a bit of fun. And they serve beer - I never got that as a kid.

Took one of my boys there for a birthday experience. Not the first time we have been there but it was as usual a great place to visit. Spent a good time bowling and on the arcade machines.

Great fun for the family. Only reason I give it a 3 is they don't do family tickets in the school holidays? You have to buy single tickets per person, which would put a lot of people off.

Disappointing, food was bad, service was bad. Not very accommodating to the group, no serviettes or utensils offered. Won't be in a hurry to return. Shame as it's our only bowling choice.

Food is expensive compared to the amount that you get. The food is weighed before it gets to the table. The drinks are not very hot even though you ask for extra hot.
