Zucchini Kill is the best bakery on earth and in ATX. I never skip it when I visit Austin and I never leave back home without going one last time. The cupcakes, donuts, cakes, and literally everything on the menu is so good! I finally got to go to their new location next to Tweedy's bar and it was awesome. You can't go wrong with either location. Everything is so amazingly good it's a literal blessing to my taste buds. The staff is always so friendly and always make great conversation. So if you need a sugar fix you don't even need to think about going anywhere else except Zucchini when you're in Austin. I've been vegan for a while now and I have tried almost every vegan dessert place in ATX. I always go back to Zucchini Kill b/c literally nothing compares in my opinion. Plus you can live out your goth girl dreams because their theme is so freakin cute and you can browse through merch, vinyl, stickers, and pins. Who doesn't love that?! Love you Zucchini K please never change or leave us.

Zucchini kill is awesome! We ordered several different flavors of cupcakes for my husband's 40th birthday, and everyone loved them. A few people at the party were gluten free or vegan, so it was great that these gluten free, vegan, soy free, cupcakes were loved by all! An added bonus is the size, they're not mini, and they're not huge, so there's no guilt in trying at least two... because it's impossible to pick just one flavor

Instead of trying to get dessert from a place that makes good dessert and also has options for people with dietary restrictions, just come here. People that are used to eating gluten, eggs, etc. won't even know the difference.

We ordered a large strawberry cake from Zucchini Kill for our wedding. Everyone was blown away with how delicious it was! Strawberry is my favorite cake flavor, and I've made it myself a couple of times. It's amazing, though no surprise, that Zucchini Kill uses real strawberry puree in their cake recipe. This is a lot more difficult and much rarer than using artificial strawberry flavoring, and the flavor from the real strawberries is beautiful. The strawberry frosting was so pretty, matched perfectly, and the decorating was adorable! Pickup was super easy, and the cake was packaged very carefully, complete with a card with storage instructions. Everything was delicious and I'm so happy, thank you <3

I ordered a custom cake back in July for a celebration my partner and I had planned for yesterday and we were so excited and happy to finally pick it up. We were anticipating seeing the final product and getting to eat it for months and we were not disappointed! The custom order process was easy and every employee we interacted with was really kind and accommodating to our very specific requests. When we picked it up from the store my partner was so happy they were giddy. The cake turned out beautiful and was so yummy. Sometimes it can be hard to find Vegan, LGBTQ+ friendly businesses and I feel so lucky we have one nearby. Thank you so much for helping make this day so special and fun!!

Everything this place puts out is delicious. But I had to write this review specifically about the pumpkin pie. It made Thanksgiving really spectacular for me! I went dairy-free years ago, and I've been missing this holiday treat. I'm so happy to have it back on the table. It's delicious and has a phenomenal texture. The spices are warm and fragrant, and the crust is perfection. 10/10, will order again next year for sure.

Fun local bakery with a cool vibe. Really appreciate the focus on vegan and gluten free baked goods. Cupcakes are a lot of fun - cute designs and great flavors. I don’t recommend the boxed cakes. The one I got was 90% frosting, there was only a thin layer of dry, chewy cake. The taste of the frosting was good but waaay too sweet considering the whole thing was frosting. Stick with the cupcakes where the proportions are much more balanced.

I was looking for a vegan bakery to buy one of my best friends something for her birthday. I looked at a few places online, but this was the only one that was all vegan and clearly stated on their website. They had a good selection of delicious looking pastries. It was a bit of a drive for me, living in South Austin, but worth it. I bought some S'mores and Triple Chocolate Cupcakes. My friend loved them, especially the Triple Chocolate. I wish she would've let me have a bite I would attach a picture, but she ate them too fast,

I love Zucchini Kill. I really started out with custom ordering birthday cakes early 2019. When I dropped gluten, for good, 2 yrs ago I was so disappointed that I had to stop using my former, local bakery, but my health required it. A year later we discovered 4 additioonal allergens to avoid and it's been a brutal. But Zucchini Kill continues to be one of the few places that I can trust. Peanuts are used in some items, but I add a note and they help me out!

Ordered vegan gluten free pies and cupcakes for Thanksgiving. We had three gluten free guests, one dairy allergy, and one vegan guest. These were a hit with everyone… even those without dietary restrictions. Amazing bakery. Period. Highly recommend.

Been dying to go to this place since i moved to ATX and I finally did tonight and I am VERY happy that I did. I am obsessed with cupcakes and this place has an amazing variety of vegan cupcakes. I bought 6, but only ate two so far and I have to say the Cookies N Cream was like kissing Jesus! Next one I shall eat is the Banana Chocolate Chip. I definitely will be going back and I encourage anyone who is vegan and loves desserts to check this place out!!

Love Zuchini Kill, Love supporting local businesses. Was so excited when we saw they are offering Sightseer coffee another Woman owned business here in Austin. The zucchini bread is an obvious must but they have so many great options. Katie was great helping us today and chatting along the way. Thank you Zuchini Kill thank you for your delicious vegan, gluten free, dairy free delectables. Try the Cream Coffins!

THE BEST VEGAN BAKERY I'VE EVER TRIED!! I was on a work trip in Austin and tried this bakery after dinner. The selection is amazing and oh my goodness everything I tried was divine! I got the lemon cupcake, blueberry muffin, their take on a Swiss roll (rebel swirrrl), and the zucchini bread. The flavors were fantastic! No strange grainy after taste that I usually experience at vegan bakeries.

So I ordered a Lemy Berry cake for my girlfriends birthday and it was AMAZING. We shared it with various friends, some of which I would consider foodies, and everyone absolutely loved the cake. We’ve also had cupcakes from here, also delicious! The service was top notch, ordering process was simple, and they were very responsive via email. I would highly recommend checking out Zucchini Kill!

Stopped by yesterday for the first time. What a great bakery. The woman working there overheard me mention to my wife that I don't like zucchini bread--she suggested I might like this one. She was absolutely right, it was fantastic--with just the right blend of spices and a perfect texture. I'll absolutely be back to try some other stuff. Might even buy a t-shirt, the designs are fantastic.

Husband found this place while searching for a gluten free dinner option and thought why not desert. So from the pic you can see we only "bought a few". We have eaten the chocolate raspberry cupcake and "rebel swrrri" chocolate swiss roll and both are DELICIOUS! Wish we lived in Austin. The cake was so moist and icing was melt in your mouth, you would never know it was GF.

Love this shop! I’ve been gluten free for almost 10 years, and I’m very picky about baked goods-as in, most are not good. I had a birthday cake made for my daughter and it was SO delicious. Perfectly moist and very flavorful even for the normally boring vanilla on vanilla that my daughter chose. They were so kind and friendly to work with. Highly recommend!

Zucchini Kill was on my list of donuts to try in Austin. And the fact that the pastries are vegan, I was curious to sample some items. I got a blueberry cupcake and the donut sampler. The chocolate was my favorite. The donut was a little dry and gritty in my opinion but that’s expected when not using flour, from my experience. It has a very Austin vibe.

  • Elizabeth Johnston

What an amazing find today! Everything we tried (rebel roll, chocolate donuts, and peanut butter cupcakes) was out of this world tasty!! And it’s all daily free, gluten free, and soy free!!! Best gluten-free bakery I’ve ever tried. I can’t wait to try out their cookie and brownie mix!

Best pumpkin pie ever!! After tasting the pumpkin pie from Zucchini Kill Bakery, no one wanted any of the other Thanksgiving desserts from other sources. The pie was phenomenal! The GF crust was so flaky and delicious. We can't wait to order one for Christmas! Yum! You have to try it! Thank you Cece and crew! :-)

  • Amber McGarrahan

I’m not vegan I just so happened to try their chocolate cupcake when I had a craving at Book People. they sell their products at their coffee bar. I’ve gone back to Book People 4 diff times just to grab a cupcake and inhale it. They are so damn good I can’t even believe it’s Vegan

  • Reohh Om

I love this bakery, but it's very expensive. Sweets shouldn't be that pricey. I don't come here as often as I would like because of that. The rolls are delicious and I can eat that daily if sweets didn't make you fat. These are some talented people.

  • Anna S

Amazing sweets! I really love the s’mores cupcake and the coffee cake. I typically get them through Buzzmill since they carry zucchini kill pastries and are closer to me. definitely recommend! i also love how they are women led and lgbtq friendly

  • Madison Blaydes

Great cupcakes and a nice location! There’s outdoor seating shared with a vegan food truck and magick store. We really enjoyed their lemon, strawberry, and s’mores cupcakes. The icing is very light and flavorful and the cakes are nice and moist.

  • Blake Calfin

Had a lovely vegan cupcake on a beautiful Austin afternoon. What more can you ask for. If you are searching for vegan food and haven't tried this place, you are missing out. Always happy to see a local business doing it right. 10/10 #chefsdeal

We served several flavors of cupcakes at my husband's 40th birthday, and they were a huge hit! The carrot cake, triple chocolate, golden girl, and s'mores were especially good! We special ordered some lime cupcakes and those were awesome too!

  • Fiona Gilmore-Khan

One of my favorite places in Austin! Everything I've ever had here is fantastic. So many great flavors, from classic deserts to interesting and unique combos. We even got a custom cake from Zucchini Kill for our wedding, and it was a huge

This review is long overdue, but an unexpected and long illness delayed this much deserved glowing review for an incredible business that truly went above and beyond to make a little boy's birthday special. When Door Dash dropped the ball

  • Alessandra

Great find! It’s kind of tucked away, but it’s in the building next to the food truck. Great selection of vegan and gluten-free cupcakes and cookies, with friendly service. We loved the rosemary chocolate chip cookie.

  • Caitlyn B.

Really disappointed to see that this place now includes ‘natural flavors’ in the ingredients. These are an addicting food additive / neurotoxin that are anything but natural and completely unnecessary.

Zucchini Kill has one of the biggest selections of vegan, gluten-free, allergen-free baked goods. Everything I’ve ever tried has been absolutely delicious. the cupcakes are light and rich. I don’t even miss gluten!

  • Kevin S. Smith

Got a birthday cake for my daughter’s best friend, who happens to be Vegan. The peanut butter cake that Zucchini Kill made for us was one of the best cakes I’ve ever had, Vegan or otherwise. Highly recommended!!

  • V Mai

The Vanilla Cream Coffin is surprisingly delicious! I do not like twinkies, and these do not taste anything like those nasty processed snack. Thank you Zucchini Kill! I can't wait to dig into the cupcakes!

  • Alain Ortiz

Amazing vegan and gluten free pastries with an incredible variety of treats. You'll walk in wanting to buy one of everything! The cupcake and donut bundles are great to taste test a little of everything.

Delicious cupcakes. None of us could tell they were vegan or gluten free. They worked well for me (vegan) and my friends (gluten free). I would definitely order from this place again.

The name is on point! I don't know how many things we got but it was more than 1 and less than 100. And! It's all awesome! Pretty sure I'm a fatter and happier vegan today.

  • Luciana Cunha

The food is good, sizes are smaller compared to other GF places. Zero contact delivery is safe but also cold. Not even an eye contact during your order pickup.

  • Ross Sewage

Amazing sweets. Forget the “vegan” label, it doesn’t matter if yer vegan or not; these baked goods will rock your sweet tooth right out your mouth.

  • Rachel Stephens

Phew…so so good! The cupcakes are amazing—my gluten and dairy eating husband couldn’t even tell they weren’t “normal.” They’re better than normal!

  • Genevieve Cloquet

I purchased three cupcakes this morning! The Love Bomb cupcake stood out from the rest. I recommend this bakery. I liked the vibe of the place.

  • Sunita Lal

Great tasting GF and Vegan cupcakes. Loved them. Wish there was a version without processed sugar as well it would .make it even more perfect.

  • Travis Young

We ordered the S’more Cake for a birthday and it was Fabulous. The small cake fed 8 people and we will absolutely be ordering in the future !

  • Esther Bailey

Important note: don’t drive past it! You have to walk up the driveway to get to this place so make sure you venture up to the courtyard.

  • Rebecca Wojton

Gluten free + vegan never tasted so good! Small shop with lots of options. Nice little outdoor seating area.

I purchased a Yule log for the holidays and I'm so happy that my whole family loved it! Thank you!
