My friends and I stayed for 4 nights in two double rooms. The concept of Cabana missed with Scotland and Punk was all a bit hit and miss but it didn't stop the place being comfortable. The reception staff were exceptional. Spain and the vibe of the hotel is very relaxed. But the team were great about everything - checking, out, queries, just saying hello. Could not recommend them enough. Rooms were large but basic. Clean but not spotless. No charger sockets in the wall - that would be a small detail to add at least. Only Spanish television in the rooms - not even English subtitles available. Loads of wardrobe space and quite a few hangers. No robes and cheap slippers. No refreshments in the room. There were tea and coffee points by the elevator on each floor shared by all guests on each floor. Aircon was very powerful in the rooms which would be perfect for the heat of summer. In the hallways of the hotel it was actually freezing cold. But a little further into summer it would be a dream. Showers were roomy and the rainfall showers were great. Nowhere really comfortable in your room to do any work. The console table was tiny with just a pouffe to sit on. But the beds were huge and comfortable. Chilling in the room was great. If you are a light sleeper this hotel will be a nightmare without earplugs. I personally didn't mind it but my sister was driven crazy by the busy Barcelona streets outside. Bars and restaurants are open late and I like hearing the buzz. The view from all the windows of the room were of the buildings opposite which could be just 4 metres or so away. All the balconies were covered in pigeon poop and the pigeons were having a chat all day and night. Windows had heavy netting and curtains for privacy. Stepping out of the hotel you are right in Borne. It's really touristy but from there the Picasso Museum is just a block away which was one of the highlights of our trip. We didn't get to visit the MOCA right next door but that looked great too. It is also about 20 mins walk to Barcelonetta. In the little streets surrounding the hotel there are loads of great shopping options. Handmade jewelry, high fashion, street wear etc. There are also a lot of restaurants, cafes and ice-cream places on the doorstep. Many of which offered gluten free options. We were really surprised at how versatile menus were. However in the hotel, the breakfast options were only cheese, ham, yoghurt and eggs. The gluten free bread were hot sweaty buns that look like they had been microwaved in bags. It was a really comforting hotel and all three of us would definitely stay again.

The surrounding streets of the hotel had a great selection of places to eat. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs. But in so far as refreshments in the room, there aren't any. All tea and coffee points were in a shared space on each floor by the elevator where guests could help themselves.

We recently stayed in Habana Hoose Hotel for 4 nights. The Hotel is very quirky in it’s design and decor. The location is great for exploring and there are lots on restaurants, cafés, and shops within easy walking distance. If exploring, you will be in the heart of the Gothic district within 5 minutes’ walk so location was perfect for us. Check-in was swift and the person on the reception gave us all the relevant information needed. We were booked into Room 203 which is on a side street away from the main street at the front of the hotel. There is still a lot of noise through the night, which you can expect in a city like Barcelona, so we were okay with that. The room was very comfortable, and the shower and bathroom were great. There are facilities on each floor for Tea/Coffee which is included with the booking. The hotels décor is very different that other hotels we stayed in which is a nice touch. Just a heads up on the breakfast! The breakfast is provided by Restaurant Carmina, not sure if it is part of the hotel or just attached to it. We did not book the breakfast option, preferring to try it first which you can do and just pay after. We were looking for Gluten Free (Sin Gluten) food options for one of us, and this is why we don’t book the breakfast with the room booking. Breakfast time is listed as 7am to 11am, we arrived to 9.45am. The selection of food available when we arrived was very poor, the only “Hot Food” left was cold scrambled eggs and very little at that. The bacon was already gone and as in many hotels we have been to before, we expected it to be replenished but it was not. The cheese and clod meat looked all dried up at the edges and not inviting and the bread for toast was all gone although I did see it been replenished but after 3 guests got there before me there was very little left. On the Gluten Free option, this was in the form of 2 bread rolls that needed to be heated in the microwave, these rolls are rubbish as the go too hard once heated so there was not really a Gluten Free option. It was not good valve at €10 each, you would expect, with over an hour left to go for breakfast when we arrived better service. Again, not sure what the attachment is between the Restaurant and hotel with regards to the food arrangements. When I raised this at checkout, all they said was we will talk to the restaurant and let them know. If we had been there at 7am it might have been a different experience, but I just wanted to highlight what we found. We would be happy to return to Habana Hoose Hotel in future when back in Barcelona.

Realistisch wären meiner Meinung knapp unter 4,5 von 5 möglichen Sternen.

Mi experiencia con este hotel ha sido pésima. A grandes rasgos, durante mi estadía dejé una bolsa con ropa dentro del cuarto, la cual desapareció durante el transcurso del día. Al yo pensar que se trataba de alguna confusión, y que la persona del servicio la había tomado pensando que habría de ir a la lavandería o algo así, me comunique con recepción para comentarles el problema, a lo que me respondieron que revisarían, tiempo después volví a preguntar el estado del caso, y me di cuenta de que ni siquiera habían tomado cartas en el asunto la primera vez que hice mención de la situación. Desafortunadamente, desconozco si por la falta de seguimiento o algo por el estilo, la bolsa nunca apareció. Evidentemente mi estancia de hospedaje terminó, y dando seguimiento al tema no he obtenido respuestas siquiera. Realmente el disgusto no nace en la pérdida de las prendas que estaban dentro de la bolsa, sino en el pésimo servicio y seguimiento que el personal del hotel dio a mi caso. Si consideras hospedarte en este hotel, ten el doble de cuidado con las pertenencias que dejas en el cuarto.

L'hotel ha una buona atmosfera in stile sudamericano; le camere sono spaziose e il bagno molto confortevole. Il personale gentile e disponibile. C'è un bar all'entrata che sembra essere in linea con l'atmosfera dell'Hotel. Ogni piano ha una piccola stazione con caffè, acqua e alcuni dolcetti gratis. La centralità e comodità rispetto ai mezzi pubblici e i vari punti turistici della città sono innegabili. Ha qualche piccola pecca riguardo al servizio: non sempre le stazioni sono fornite con caffè, anzi spesso e volentieri manca. La porta della nostra camera aveva lo spiacevole difetto di chiudersi con notevole ritardo, il che vuol dire che dopo averla chiusa bisognava aspettare fuori qualche minuto prima che la serratura si bloccasse. Sembrano piccole macchie (e lo sono) ma per il prezzo proposto, decisamente non economico, sarebbe meglio prendersene cura. Comunque nulla di così grave da togliere una stella, l'esperienza è stata comunque piacevole senza alcun grave incidente di percorso.

This hotel was fantastic! The price was great for the amazing room we had. Location is in the heart of gothic quarter, walking distance to some amazing tapas bars (highly recommend tapeo, 2 min walk). 5 mins away from the cathedral and 10 mins from the docs. Bed was comfortable, pillows were the best hotel pillows I've slept on. Shower was lovely, housekeeping came and left fresh towels daily. We were able to leave our bags after checkout so we could explore too. There was filtered water and coffee stations on each floor which was a lovely touch. It's €10 per person per day and the variety was good and the coffee was a great way to start the day, we did this 2 days out of 3. We stayed as part of our honeymoon break and thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back again very very soon. Thanks for an amazing stay.

Fuimos la familia y tomamos dos habitaciones a principios de Agosto. Mi hija dejó en nuestra habitación una bolsa con la ropa usada el día anterior y desapareció. Al decir que no se había ido a la lavandería con las toallas por error, ahora podemos decir que nos robaron y no se han molestado por contactarnos y pagarnos por lo sustraído que ni siquiera es mucho porque es ropa, pero mucho cuidado porque de igual forma se pueden robar cualquier cosa y no van a esconder por nada. Pésimo, ellos saben quienes tienen acceso al cuarto y pudieron hacerles devolver lo robado y no. Simplemente lo dejaron pasar. No lo recomiendo, no estarán seguras sus pertenencias. Lástima ya que esta bien ubicado y está lindo, pero esto no sirve de nada si no hay seguridad.

This hotel is cute but the rooms are dark and smelly. Walls are not sound proof and all the noise on the street and in the lobby can be heard from the rooms, at least rooms that are located on the 1st floor. We paid for breakfast on our room but the breakfast was disappointing. There were literally only eggs and hams and some fruits. Breakfast was a lot better in other hotels we stayed in the same area. There was also no coffee machine that we could use so each time we wanted coffee we had ask the staff. On our first day, the staff who was working at the bar area during the breakfast time was very rude. We asked for a coffee and she gave us attitude and asked us to wait for a few minutes. We never got a coffee at the end.

We were delightfully surprised when we arrived. We knew from the website that it had a funky vibe. We did not realize how friendly and helpful the desk staff would be. Axle's honest recommendations and directions helped us immensely. The hotel super clean and reasonably quiet. We particularly appreciated filtered water and hot tea and coffee available all day and night. The breakfast was more than worth the money. Ermina's choice of breakfast music was delightful. The variety in the afternoon was less to our liking, but we can't have everything perfect!

An Unseren ersten Tag hatte das Hotel leider keinen Strom… das Restaurant mit Reservierung konnte nicht öffnen. Am schlimmsten war jedoch, das wir zu dritt im Aufzug stecken geblieben sind und niemand auf den Alarm reagiert hat. Es ist alles sehr hellhörig. Man kann jedes Wort vom Nachbarn hören. Draußen ist eine Baustelle und bis 01.00 immer sehr laut. Um hier zu wohnen muss man jung sein oder jung geblieben sein. Unsere Dusche und das Waschbecken waren von den Haaren der Vorbewohner total verstopft. Service ist aber auch das richtige reinigen und die Wartung der Zimmer. Beim duschen denken Sie besser nicht daran, was ihnen so um die Füße schwimmt. Frühstück ist für den Preis, fair.

lovely front desk staff but you do get what you pay for, there a big gaps under the doors in the rooms which means you can hear everybody that walks past. The location of the hotel is perfect it’s very central to lots of bars and restaurants however the walls are paper thin and you do hear a lot of noise from outside. We were on the top floor and we could still hear everything from the alleyways below us. The tea and coffee station on the floor was a nice touch though! I would definitely stay again just be aware if you want a good nights sleep you might not get it.

Absolut lovely place in the middle of Barri Gothic in best reachability to the beach and to the city centre. Nice rooms and service at Carmina Restaurant. Coffee and Water available for free, we fully recommend this place and will come back soon!

The cutest place ever! Perfect location to the metro, and to talk to popular attractions. Safe location. Adult recommend. The staff was AMAZING! All 3 hotel reception employees we met and the Anthony the bartender were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel gives you a cute tote bag (that you will use) to walk around town. Each floor is different but so unique. Will definitely be back!

We are just home from a fabulous stay in Habana Hoose. The staff are a credit to the place and were so helpful and friendly throughout our stay. They made sure the room was extra special for our anniversary which we really appreciated. The location is amazing and the coffee stations on each floor were very welcome and well utilised. It was always really well stocked. The rooms were spotless with strong showers, lovely toiletries and comfy beds. We would definitely return. Thank you to all in Habana Hoose for a great stay!

Må si dette er en av de bedre opplevelsene jeg har hatt noen sinne. Man forventer ikke så mye på et trestjerners hotell, men staben her og kvaliteten på rom, størrelse på bad og tilgjengeligheten på friskt vann i alle etasjer gjør dette hotellet absolutt til en favoritt. Jeg kommer garantert til å bo her neste gang jeg reiser til Barcelona. De var uten strøm et døgn da vi var der, pga arbeid i gaten. Det kunne ikke de belastes for.

I was pickpocketed 50 feet from chic&basic Habana Hoose my first night there. Tourist don’t realize this type of crime is tolerated since the money stays in Barcelona and the tourists go home. Don’t stay anywhere that doesn’t have a strong police presence. If the hotel doesn't care you should tell everyone about the danger and look to stay somewhere else.

Great little hotel in the heart of the Gothic quarter. Smart and funky design throughout the property and a very nice connected restaurant next door (which is where the breakfast is served). Excellent service from the receptionist Axel and plenty to do/see directly outside the front door!
