Hi, I have rented car in Marrakesh from Europcar and it was the worst experience I ever had with renting cars abroad (I have been to almost 80 countries and in many of those I was renting cars also from Europcar company). From the very beginning. I had booking for 9.11 for 10am. Came to the office 10.05 and was informed that I have to wait for the car a little bit (that was OK for me - I do not expect that everything will be ready in the exact time). Then I remind the guy serving me, that I have rented also two child seats (I have 3 kids, for the infant I have infant seat with me, for two orders (2 and 4 years) I always rent a child sets together with the car. He said of course, he has child seats and went somewhere to brought them - he brought me two child seats with broken (or without) seat belts (I attached pictures of what he offered me). I told them that those child seats are not safe at all and useless for me and ask him to bring me one with the properly working seatbelts. Then he said he will not bring others and it is not his problem. I asked him to call his boss or supervisor, he told he is out of office and nobody will come to talk to me. I can take those child seats or leave. Then I said I do not need the car without child seats and I am going to withdraw from the contract and make a complaint. He went out of the office and was looking for a child seat in other offices (brought one, but for the older kid and I refused to take it). Then I wrote complaint and asked him to confirm receipt of it - he refused, I took a photo proving that I am placing complaint at his desk - he said it is forbidden and he will call the police. Then I said OK let's call the police, and he said that he is at work and I am not allowed to talk what he has to do... Finally I left the office. The car was pre paid. So far no-one returned me money. Within next half an hour I have rented same car (same type) at the lower price with properly child seats from the local agency.

Europcar am Flughafen Marrakesch: Desinteressiertes, unfreundliches Personal und Übergabe eines wirklich sehr schmutzigen und im Innenraum sowie technisch äußerst ungepflegten Fahrzeugs. Das Motoröl eine tiefschwarze, dickflüssige Brühe; die Reifen gefährlich im „Unterdruckmodus“ und Steuer sowie Schalthebel erst nach mehrfacher Reinigung klebefrei bedienbar. Das Beste dann zum Schluss: Es wurde zu Unrecht ein hoher Teil unserer Kaution einbehalten – für einen Lackschaden, der nachts ohne unser Zutun auf einem (bewachten) Parkplatz entstand und ordentlich gemeldet sowie per Unfallbericht mit Angabe der Kontaktdaten der Parkplatzbediensteten dokumentiert wurde. Der werte Europcar-„Agent“ am Marrakesch Airport beteuerte bei Abreise noch, dass derlei natürlich die Versicherung übernehme … Fazit: Unseriös – Finger weg von dieser Autovermietung! PS: Europcar Deutschland zieht sich nach Schilderung des Vorfalls und endlosem E-Mail-Hin-und-Her komplett aus der Affäre – mit der Begründung, sie seien „nur Vermittler“ und man solle sich doch direkt an die Marokkaner wenden. Eine Schlussrechnung, die versucht, die Abzocke auf Papier zu rechtfertigen, konnten sie allerdings trotz ihres passiven Vermittlerstatus umgehend präsentieren … Bravo Europcar … danke und auf Nimmerwiedersehen!

We organised this rental online from Australia. We were arriving a day after we booked and called up to let them know and we were told it would be fine and the car would be ready when we got there. We arrived the next day as discussed and we waited for around 15 minutes for the Lady to actually talk to us. The first thing she does is tell me off because she is meant to go to lunch. Then I can only establish that they didn't have a car for our rental. They then had us sitting there for an hour while they discussed what to do. Eventually we received our car and we were told we had received an upgrade. I had booked a little 208 peugeot and instead got the car in the photos. It looked like someone lent it to them from a workshops or something. I complained and all they could say is "that's it". After a while I was offered a Dacia (in the photos) which was an absolute mess as well. I paid over $450 Aus for 3 days hire and was told it was only a little money so didn't warrant a nice car. I used Europcar for the brand and wanted something solid, clean and comfortable. This was an absolute joke and Europcar should be embarrassed to lend their name to this place!!

We booked a large car and when we arrived they gave us a tiny one. They said the car we have paid for was not available, so they were giving us another of lower price (charging us for the expensive car!) They dis their best to trick us with that. I insisted badly, made a scene, told them we were not leaving with the car being offered. At the end, they called the office in the airport and gave us the car we have initially paid for. We waited an hour, overall. The car they gave us was broken, the gas meter was not working and it had less gas than they told us. We only realized of this the day before, when we were kilometers away from Marrakech and could do nothing. I would expect this behaviour from medium to small size car rentals, but not from Europcar.

Door horror verhalen over autoverhuur bedrijven in Marokko gingen we erheen met lage verwachtingen. Tegen de verwachting in ging alles soepel en met vriendelijke hulp. Bij het afhalen werd duidelijk vermeld dat de auto schoon ingeleverd moest worden en de enige extra kosten waren voor extra chauffeur (stond ook op de voucher). Voor terugkeer hebben we de auto voor 30dh laten schoonmaken (3 euro). Uiteindelijk was dit niet eens nodig en geen enkel probleem bij inleveren. Ik kan auto rijden in Marokko aan iedereen aanraden. Indien angstig, boek bij een reputabele partij, neem volledige verzekering en film de auto voor vertrek op schade zodat je met een gerust hart op reis kunt.

Véhicule loué pour 10 jours avec deux sièges bébé. Au fur et à mesure du voyage je me suis aperçue de la vétusté des sièges bébé, les sangles de sécurité ne tenaient pas, Il a fallu faire des nœuds, la housse du siège ne faisait que tomber...Nous avons donc fait une réclamation auprès d'Europcar, ils nous ont présenté leurs excuses et ont reconnu qu'ils n'auraient pas dû nous louer des sièges dans cet état (non homologués), ils ont accepté de nous dédommager, cela fait des mois qu'on les relance et toujours rien !!! C'est malhonnête de leur part !! On attend toujours réparation

Europcar in der Innenstadt Marrakesch: Freundliches Personal sowohl bei der Abholung als auch bei der Rückgabe beim Herrn Abdelazziz. Tipp: 1. Fahrzeugabholung und -Rückgabe um 17:00 Uhr war optimal und ohne Wartezeiten 2. ich empfehle bei der Buchung mit einer Vollkasko ohne Selbstbeteiligung abzuschließen, was ich auch selbst über Check24 gemacht habe. In Marrakesch gibt es sehr viele Motoradfahrer, die sich für schaue halten und die sich nicht an die Verkehrsregeln halten. 3. Location von Europcar ist direkt an einer Tankstelle. Perfekt zum Nachtanken bei Rückgabe.

Abholstation geschlossen, mussten Telefonnummer anrufen, wurden abgeholt und zu anderer Station gefahren - während der Mietzeit, die wir bezahlt haben. Sehr ärgerlich. Tank nur 75% gefüllt, obwohl voll-voll gebucht. Bei der Anmeldung des 2. Fahrers (vorab gebucht und gezahlt) wollte Mitarbeiter extra kassieren. Am letzten Tag Anruf bekommen, dass wir das Auto an einer anderen als der gebuchten Rückgabestation abgeben sollen, dann unzureichende Adresse / Wegbeschreibung bekommen. Und 800 € für einen Dacia Duster für 9 Tage !!!!Nie wieder!

J’avais lu plusieurs mauvais commentaires sur Europcar à Marrakech surtout concernant les assurances qu’ils tentent de vous vendre. Je me suis dit que j’allais tout de même tenter le coup puisqu’on voulait absolument louer une voiture. Voici ce qu’il se passe lorsque vous voulez louer une voiture en ligne. Europcar tente de vous charger leur assurance complète en double. Je me suis tourner vers une autre compagnie de location et vous devriez tous faire la meme choses et les éviter...

Very nice people, we had a booking from HAG and those people sent us to this place (we even had an arabic speaking driver, so no language barrier to blame) - there is a HAG office around the corner, so we believed they cooperate somehow (they do not)... . The Europecar employee (fluent in english) even called our agency and helped us big time. Sadly we already booked and payed - otherwise we would've switched to Europecar, instead of driving back to the airport... Thanks again!

Worst experience ever. We rented a car and should have been ready at 11am. After almost 25 minutes waiting for it, they told us that we needed a ridiculously big amount of money in our credit card as a deposit. We tried to give them our deposit in cash but they didn't let us. So after almost 40 minutes waiting in their office we had to cancel the car reservation. Fortunately there was another car rent place in front of this one that let us rent it without any deposit.

Heruntergekommenes Büro mit kaputter Beleuchtung und Möbeln, stumme Mitarbeiter die davon ausgehen, dass man ohne Erklärung Zusatzversicherungen bucht. Unser Dacia Duster war bei Übernahme zwar sauber, aber in einem schlechten Zustand und es lagen noch Sachen vom vorherigen Mieter im Kofferraum. Handbuch nur auf französisch. Pluspunkt von Europcar ist, dass das Büro auf dem Gelände einer Tankstelle ist, so dass man bei Rückgabe dort vollmachen kann.

Ältester Mietwagen in 40 Jahren meiner Erfahrung mit solchen Anbietern auch in diversen afrikanischen Ländern: Dacia mit 97.000 km Laufleistung, Schürze lose klappert zum Gotterbarmen und nach einer Woche Klimaanlage defekt. Reparaturkosten von knapp 40 EUR werden nicht übernommen, weil nicht über Europcar in der Wüste (Erg Chebbi) organisiert. Aber Gemecker, weil der Wagen bei der Rückgabe staubig war.

Je confirme les mauvais avis. Voiture livrée avec 45min de retard, sale et sans le plein. Sièges auto juste bons à la déchèterie, aucune sécurité et ignoblement sales. Prix de la location plus cher que celui de la resa, à prendre ou à laisser. Au retour, on essaie de me facturer le plein d essence, classique semble t il. A fuir, personnels malhonnêtes et aimables tant que cela va dans leur sens.

Haben über billiger Mietwagen zusammen mit Sunny Cars einen Wagen für eine Woche gemietet. Es hat alles reibungslos geklappt und die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Der Wagen war in einem sehr guten Zustand (Dacia Logan). Man sollte den Wagen gewaschen und gereinigt zurück geben. Ist in Marrakesch für ca. 40DH leicht zu bekommen.

Europcar casablanca flughafen: abzocke durch intransparente versicherungs“angebote“, arrogante Mitarbeiter, beleuchtungsdefektes Auto, 1. Ersatzauto völlig überdimensioniert, 2. Ersatzauto klappriger Dacia, Rückgabe am Flughafen Marrakesch unfreundlich, Zufahrt nicht auffindbar. Nie wieder.

Everything was fine except we had to be very careful with the price we paid. Because we came 20 min early they wanted to charge another full day… instead of explaining/making us wait. We refused and we were given the car anyways (as it did not make sense of course)… but be very careful.

The Europcar stand was across the carpark inside the airport (short walk from arrivals) Not the one pinned as a location on here. Staff were friendly, no additional charges (booked through Check 24). Car was checked on arrival and deposit funds released within a day.

We rented a Dacia Duster but got upgraded to a Fiat Tipo for two weeks, worked like a charm. Takes a while to get all the paperwork done (think >1hour) but all in all a positive experience

Just rented a car for 2 weeks there, already for the second time. Booked online from home. No problems whatsoever, got a pretty new car on both occasions.
