Brought my daughter's bike in to get a flat fixed. Rich not only took care of it quickly and at a reasonable price, but gave the bike a once over and mentioned that some spokes were missing from the front tire. He searched around for a new rim and said he'd get it in a few days. Brought the bike back and he had it done in 20 minutes! Did a few extra things to make sure the bike was fixed at no extra charge too. Rich is passionate about his hobby-turned-neighbourhood business. He is trustworthy and not out to gouge his clients, but rather to make sure people get their bikes fixed quickly and within budget so that they can get out and ride as soon as possible. All businesses should run this way, but they don't. So it's good practice to call out the ones that go above and beyond, and Rich certainly does that. I won't go anywhere else to get my bikes serviced.

Made an appointment online today and I showed up at the shop a few hours later. Rich was outside with a customer leaving and took my son's bike right away and fixed his flat tire on the spot, and checked the bike over for safety issues. He decided to do a quick tune up on the brakes and chain so my son would ride safely to school. My son was very happy when he tried his bike when I got back home, especially with the tighter brakes. Extremely reasonable price and high quality attention to details. Rich definitely has a passion for his work. Highly recommended for any of your bicycle needs. I had a flat tire (rear, of course) on my "mature" ten-speed Miyata.. I bought this '80's bike about ten years ago. It had not been out of someone's basement and I love it. Where to turn? Google pointed me to Rich's Bike Repairs. It is now like new - 2 new tires, a tube, a new brake cable, a tune up, shiny rims and a even a clean chain! Rich knows his stuff! Brought my hybrid bike to Rich, it suffered quite a bit of damage from a bumpy road. After taking a look, he gave honest feedback that it wasn't worth buying hundreds in parts for how much the bike is worth. He didn't charge me anything despite consulting with me for a significant amount of time. I'll be keeping my bike for parts, but will definitely bring my next bike to him for a tune-up. When you walk into his home garage, you can instantly tell he's got a lot of experience with bikes. Very friendly and fair service.

I brought my back wheel to Rich thinking that I would have to replace the whole wheel but instead he fixed it quickly for a fraction of the price of a replacement. He was very responsive and I had it done with 2 days from my first contact, I was expecting to get it back in the spring, a few months from now. Brought 2 bikes over to Rich last week for a tune up. He was responsive, knowledgeable, and kind! Answered all my questions and tuned my bikes with a very quick turnaround. He had other bikes to work on as well and when I went to pick my bike, another customer arrived to get their bike fixed. He's a busy guy, but still responds really fast. Honest, fair and VERY knowledgeable, I’m sure we will continue to be repeat customers. We priced out vs Giant last year where they told us it couldn’t repaired without all new parts and were so happy we found him as he was able to get bike back on the road without having to order a whole new wheel. And we just brought in our Thule chariot to be repaired and I’m so happy to have a working stroller again for the spring.

I’ve been to Rich’s shop several times, once to tune up a 30 year old “mountain bike” (new chain, brake pads and 15 new spokes plus the wheel trueing) and once for new pads on my carbon fibre bike. Given COVID some parts took awhile, but he has a spoke making machine so the wheel was ready the day I dropped it off. Prices are very reasonable and his “I can get it done” attitude was really appreciated. Thanks Rich.
