After having a bad experience with other companies, I called up “ Shift Man and Van”. I first spoke with Adrian to book - he was attentive, professional and really took the time to understand the details ( and concerns) of what I needed for my move. I was subsequently contacted by Paul, the logistic manager, who informed me immediately about the realistic time slots for the day. I was super impressed by Paul’s professionalism. He had a great attitude and grateful for his initiative ( for letting me know immediately when he knew the time I originally booked wouldn’t work and rearrange to ensure things go to plan). Paul showed impeccable customer service and was able to quickly establish rapport and understanding with my concerns and what was needed for the move. The two guys that were sent to assist with my move were brilliant! Very impressed. They were highly professional, calm, friendly and well co-ordinated. They quickly assessed the situation with what was needed and got to work- no time wasting. I confirmed my booking the night before my move and was told by the driver that his large van had broken down but he would use his smaller van and make as many trips as needed to move me. He was due at 9am latest and by 10.30am he had not arrived and had not contacted us. We looked on the booking but his contact details were no longer available. There was no telephone number to call Shift only an email address which I used. They text back to say they had to Canx to booking and would sent a full refund. In the meantime we rang around on a Saturday morning trying to find a van and could only get a small transit. It took 5 round trips in the van and my car and we didn’t finish u til after 9pm that night. Luckily my neighbour drive the van and rented it for me as I had used my money on the Shift booking. I have contacted them for a refund of the rented transit and fuel costs as compensation for the bad service and stressful day and they refused and have not contacted me again even though I asked for the managers details. The tenants moving in we’re also delayed as a knock on effect. I am now looking to take this to the small claims court as they did not fulfil their contract with me.

Such a pleasant surprise! I was really nervous to be using a man and van service as I haven’t had to before. I liked that there was a Professional website and I could look at what I wanted first. All my further questions were answered by an extremely knowledgeable male staff member and my removal carried out by two fantastic guys. Since then my mum, auntie and an older uncle have happily used them and the storage costs were so reasonable. Thanks guys.

Adrian and the team are very efficient, the whole collection and delivery process goes smoothly. I had to store all the stuffs for nearly half months, most companies would charge for a month storage fee, but this company provide a reasonable fee for storage, also the competitive price for moving. The final stuff list I add few more boxes, but they didn't ask for the additional charge, also there were no hidden fee. Really recommend.

This company is one of the best! We’ve never seen such strong mans. We booked a Luton Van + 2 helpers. The two guys paid a lots of attention to our furniture. An impeccable, fast, safe service, the staff very friendly, and we contacted them at the last minute because another company did not comply with us, however, even being January 1, we obtained an excellent service very quickly. They will definitely be our first choice next time.

It was a disaster, I do mot recommend it very stressful. They have alike of communication, worst customer service and the driver just accepted the service without knowing the time and they.

Be careful with these guys. All removal men self employed with little or no experience. If they damage your furniture they take no responsibility for it.
