Tip from a fellow Spooky gal, this is not the Oddities shop you're looking for. That is not to say this isn't a beautiful store. There are insect specimens and art pieces that definitely signify an oddity store, however this is much more...austere? It is reminiscent of a Restoration Hardware + oddities adjacent gift shop. If you're looking for taxidermy, there's a good spot in De Pijp. To see skeletal and medical specimens, check out Museum Vrolik. If you're looking to pick up cute housewares or a framed insect, this is the spot!

This is a really unique shop and worth your time to stop just to see the amazing preserved insects and butterflies from all over the world. Inside it's like a colorful museum full of amazingly beautiful butterflies. The shop also contains all manner of unique and handmade gifts for sale. The owner discussed with us how the people who preserve the insects do so in an environmentally sound manner and help preserve land while bringing knowledge and beauty to the public forefront.

What an amazing hidden gem!! If u are into interesting butterfly's, insects and uneque gifts this is a MUST. During my visit to Amsterdam I just happened to stumble upon this shop and thought it was AMAZING!! I found their range of goods to be fabulous and I fell in love with their huge veriaty of beautiful vibrant butterfly's and insects. Their was so much I would have loved to have brought!!!!! Amazingly displays!! Stunning shop!!

Loved this place. We didn't end up buying anything as we were worried it'd be destroyed on our flight home, however just a very cool and funky store. Lots of different beetle and butterfly specimens, and they are all beautifully arranged. They have other items as well like old apothecary equipment and glassware. If you're in Jordaan (perhaps headed to or from Anne Frank Museum) walk the extra few blocks and check this store out!

Fabulous shop, a gift for a friend or a treat for yourself, Steven was exceptionally kind and patient while I made my choice which was not easy as there are so many beautiful and interesting items. Very safely packaged for my long trip home also. Today’s purchase , tomorrow’s heirlooms. Thankyou

Eclectic, artful, intelligent selection; THIS is the kind of store that makes a city unique. As I wandered the store, I saw curios and objects which spoke to the good judgment and taste of the owners. There is a vision here and it's worth your time. A not-miss store in Amsterdam.

This is a nice funky little place to get someone a present that is out of the ordinary. I was able to find plenty of gifts that I could get friends here. Either that is a joke gift or a serious gift. The place tends to have more macab setting but the staff is friendly and nice!

Cooky and quirky shop filled with all kinds of oddities. Real good fun if you're looking for a store to entertain as well as tempt. If you're into taxidermy and framed smaller animals like butterflies and bugs there is an extensive collection to be found here.

Great and curious store with a lot of very interesting and beautiful pieces. It has everything from entomology boxes, to soaps, to art. It's a small store, with big prices but for the people with this type of interest, it's a shop worth a visit.

What a find! Some very beautiful products presented like a tiny steam punk museum of curios. A great place to find an unusual if slightly macabre gift. The owner was friendly and happy to have a chat.

Really excellent gothic/romantic horror stuff in a nice space. Great selection of beetles and butterflies mounted very nicely for hanging. A bit pricey but some really fun and beautiful items.

I love this shop. First time I found it whilst in Amsterdam I just opened my mouth and did not know where to look. My Morpho aurora was purchased 8 years ago and it still is looking beautiful.

Pretty cool little shop! I wish there were a few more unique items, as many of the items for sale look mass-produced. But their selection is great for gifts or oddities for around the house.

Incredibly cool shop for browsing, but not much at the lower end of the price range and impractical for travellers who will need to get things through quarantine on their return journey.

This is the very best gift shop in Amsterdam. The framed insects and other ephemera are truly wonderful and not something you see anywhere else. Make sure to stop when you are visiting.

Beautiful hand made glass blown Christmas ornaments in all shapes and sizes. Be prepared to splurge for these tempting shiny trinkets, because it’s all rather pricy.
