Where should I start. We were visiting family in Bulgaria. I usually rent a car from different car rental company but I heard some positive things about Top Rent A Car and decided to give it a try. First their vehicles are very small and not very comfortable to travel long distances. Also the entire car is with Top Rent A Car stickers which I guess the company uses as free advertising, but for the customers is a trouble magnet for everyone to know that you are out of town and give you trouble. When we landed in Sofia we spoke with a representative of Top Rent A Car that told us that a shuttle bus will pick us up and take us to their main office also pick up garage/ office as they describe it (to me it looked like 2 bungalows in the middle of nowhere). We had to go through mud in order to catch their so call shuttle bus which they described that will be waiting in front of the terminal. The shuttle never stopped in front of the terminal and I had to go and look for the shuttle while getting soaked from the rain. When we rented the car we were told to return the vehicle at the same place we picked it up. When we returned the car we were met by a employee with attitude, demands and load of sarcasm. The so called employee told us that we had to give them a call before we returned the vehicle. Then he gave us trouble that we left the vehicle in front of their bungalow office while checking out. No one told us that we had to park the vehicle. After that this same employee told us that the office that we were returning the vehicle to is the wrong one even though his coworker that rented us the car told us to return it to the same place. The top of the iceberg was when he charged us 25 Euro for returning the vehicle early. I been in the customer service industry for a decade and if this guy represent my brand with the same attitude that he serves the clientele of Top Rent A Car I would fire him before he even started. I would never rent a car again from Top Rent A Car, furthermore I would strongly recommend everyone else who read this review to stay away. If you want to have people with attitude give you crapy service Top Rent A Car is the place.

Невероятно негативен опит с въпросната компания! Преди два дни се обадих,за да направя резервация за днешния ден, с молба да ми препоръчат голяма и стабилна кола поради лошите метереологични условия, с която мога да пътувам комфортно на дълъг път (вече се бях спряла на Пежо 2008, разглеждайки в сайта, но изчаках да видя и тените предложения). След като ме попита за моите изисквания служителят, с когото разговарях по телефона като първа опция ми предложи въпросното Пежо 2008 и веднага помолих да ми изчисли крайната цена включвайки Premium Protection и такса за получане преди работно време. Тъй като цената ме устройваше поисках да запазя колата и служителят ме прехвърли към друга колежка, която да приключи резервацията. Днес, когато отидох да взема колата, след като подписах договора (спокойна, че вече сме уточнили всичко по телефона), с огромна изненада получих ключовете на Пежо 208!!! - малка, изключително неудобна според мен за дълъг път кола, която не отговаряше нито на моите изисквания, нито на предварително уговорената цена!!! След моето оплакване, служителите на компанията ме уведомиха, че са прослушали телефонния разговор и ме обвиниха, че аз сама съм подвърдила въпросното Пежо 208 два пъти! Най-вероятно и сама съм избрала да платя по-високата цена, за по-нисък клас кола!!! Освен това резервоарът не беше пълен до горе, както го върнах аз като коректен клиент!Безумно!!! Ето така се губят клиенти и то не един и два тъй като работя с чужденци, които ежемесечно използват услугите на компании за коли под наем! Желая ви късмет и по-малко разочаровани клиенти!

I recently rented a Peugeot 208 GT for a few days. I didn't have any problems with it until the last day of the rental when, while driving on the motorway at 120kph, I started to hear a knocking noise. After checking it, it turned out that something was hanging off the left side of the chassis so I called their helpline reporting the problem, sending a photo and asking what to do next. The agent said that it looked like some plastic part of the chassis had come loose but that I should nevertheless continue driving the car and if the part came off, I should pick it up off the highway and put it in the car (which is ridiculous!). The guy also stated that the insurance they had taken out offered a replacement car only if the car was immobilised. On the basis of his confirmation, I therefore drove on. After about an hour and a half, I stopped at a petrol station to check how the plastic part was holding up. It turned out that it had also come loose on the right side through further driving. At this point I was informed that I was being charged a deposit penalty for faults that were not caused by me but escalated by continuing to drive! I was not involved in any accident, collision or hitting anything with the car that could have led to the faults. I returned the car in the same condition in which I received it. When handing over the cars, the staff at the dealership do not inspect the cars thoroughly, only externally. The fault could just as well have been caused by one of the previous customers, but as I showed honesty and reported it, they are taking advantage to get extra money. My advice is to be careful and check the cars well!

I rented a car to travel to Turkey. I provided all necessary documentation, paid for green card and premium insurance. However, Turkish Customs did not accept the insurance provided. They stated that the written power of attorney provided was not enough. They provided a document stating the reason the car was unable to enter Turkey. I had no choice but to return the car. At the office, the Top Rent-A-Car manager did not believe what happened. I provided the Turkish Customs document stating the reason for the vehicle’s denial of entry. Top Rent-A-Car manager did not care and said there was nothing he could do to help. Very unprofessional. An employee, Tiffani, at the drop off office was very helpful. She apologized and issued a return of deposit and tried to refund the 90$ we paid for the extra documents required for legally drive the vehicle in Turkey. However, it’s inconclusive if any money will be refunded since the customer service ha ve not contacted us yet.

Overall, great! Employees super kind and the car great. Also had zero problems with extra charges. For more details, this is what happened: We arrived at the airport counter where there was only one person who was super slow. After waiting for more than half an hour, he told us that we would pick up our car from another place and a shuttle bus would take us there. That happened, we went there and picked up our car. It was super clean, great smelling and looked new and shiny. The employee noted down every single damage it had, no matter how minor it was! After five days, we returned it, with full tank (just like we received it). Admittedly it was not as clean on the outside, but after a quick inspection of the employee, they made sure everything was as it should and they returned our deposit *right away*.

Almost everything was excellent. We received a new car, of the type I ordered, clean and fueled! Drivers who delivered and physically received back the vehicle provided exceptional service! Disappointing service representative who was at the counter and provided service, was impatient, due to lack of knowledge of the language, underestimated and experimented, allowed to fill a lot of slots that others with identical orders did not fill, I felt humiliated and unresponsive, left a bad taste. What made the feeling sweeter are the drivers who are in the parking lot on the 4th floor of Terminal 2, simply angels, with giving, patience and willingness to help.

There's was a courtesy bus from their office at the airport to get my car, but it was a five minute drive, and the driver was friendly, so not a problem at all. The car (a Clio) was fine, albeit the SatNav needed an update, and it had clearly been well used, but did the job. Dropping it off was painless, and again, the courtesy bus dropped me back at the airport. The car needed refuelling before drop off, and there's not many petrol stations nearby, plus the traffic at peak-times can be bad, so plan your journeys accordingly.

Service was quick, car was sitting there, ready, tank full. The location is a bit bad though, the street if you can call it that is a moonscape and they tell you to not drive off road... How do I get out then. Anyway. The car itself was as advertised and clean. It had a couple of issues, tyres have to be rebalanced, wipers were stiff and didn't do a good job, fan made an annoying whiny noise at high setting, pointed that out when returning, the guy took note. Overall I'm happy and will use them again.

Rental car reviews can be scary, especially in an unfamiliar country. After a lot of research I chose Too Rent Car. The desk in terminal 2 called shuttle - it arrived in less then 10 minutes. 5 minute ride to rental location for paperwork…. Maybe another 20 minutes for that. I declined, but not that expensive. Car was almost new, clean and a few steps from rental office. Check back in was an equally smooth process. Good experience, would definitely rent again

We were very happy with everything! friendly staff! Deposit refunded on the spot without any problems! Good cars! Pay attention to the opening times, I think only until 9 pm .. Don't be surprised, there is only the counter at the airport, but a shuttle will be ordered straight away to take you to the main office where your rental car is parked... the same also applies when returning it... We rented a car for 3 days from Top Rent A Car near the Sofia Airport. Everything went smoothly and we received a almost new Opel Astra. The transaction was relatively fast and straightforward and the company agents were friendly and professional. On top of the good service, the rental rate was ridiculously cheap for such a nice car. I would not hesitate to rent from Top Rent A Car in the future.

The car (Renault Clio V) was in a perfect condition, i had no problems at all. Returning the car was so fast and easy. I got my deposit back right away. The only thing I didn’t like when i was renting the car is that it took me an hour to finalize all the documents. There were a lot of people waiting at that moment. This can be a good thing of course - interest in renting a car from toprentacar.

On our return, they also took us to the terminal as soon as we left the car. Very fast and comfortable the whole process of both pick up and return of the vehicle. Great company, I have rented different cars from different places in Bulgaria, very good prices, great staff, very helpful and explain everything properly. The road to the headquarters is not the best and maybe in late evening will be afraid to walk but I understand that a lot of space is needed to keep all cars. Well English speaking staff felt very welcome and great service.

Rented a Peugeot 208 GT from them a few days ago. I had a really good experience right from the shuttle pickup at Terminal 2 all through the drop off. The car was in new like condition (less than 7k kms when I picked it up). Handover + drop off was very smooth and everything was explained properly. Would gladly use their service again in Bulgaria and recommend to others.

Yet another time with them, no problem at all, even though it was a last minute request - they were even able to accommodate to the specific brand and model I requested. Super friendly staff, pick-up and drop-off are simple and take 10-15 min each. The car itself again was basically new with 12K on the clock and 07/23 registration. Would recommend the service.

За първи път наех автомобил и реших да им се доверя. Взехме си Опел Мока 2023, автомобила беше все едно го взимаш от магазина. Бързо бях обслужен и въведен в автомобила който получихме с пълен резервоар. Депозита беше освободен в същият ден в който върнахме колата. Много сме доволни, благодарим ви и скоро пак ще дойдем.

Service was very slow at desk when renting car, also deeply disappointed car was rented from 12 to 12 but didn't get processed until 1.30pm. when returned at 12.50pm next day charged extra 13 euro for delayed return... apart from that car ok. not exceptional. A little flexibility goes a long way...

A great car rental experience, it totally upgraded our Bulgarian trip. A new car, super friendly and expedient customer service with useful advice on places to visit. At an incredible price, too. Will definitely use them again when we return and meanwhile will keep recommending them.

Excellent. Prompt shuttle buses to and the airport. Very helpful staff at check in and car return. The Citroen C3 was immaculate with low mileage. It ran beautifully and economically. Discounted fuel at a good range of petrol stations. All very well done. I would use them again
