Didn't have high expectations of the place before hand. Although the doctor on duty was polite and gave full attention to my sick pet cat but sadly his diagnosis and his lack of experience caused my poor cat his life. Allah SWT has given every soul an alloted time and no body can do anything when that time expires, this is our belief as Muslims. But it's sad to see our government facilities in such shambles.... What can I say for an animal hospital when poor people, humans don't get proper health Care. We as a nation have a lot to learn, be truthful to any task that we take up and then be responsible enough to finish it with a same zeal we started it with. I wish I have had a pleasant experience of the place but sadly it's not the case. It's not anyone's fault, his time was up but we need to make our public institutions reliable enough that people visit them by choice not because of the unavailability of other options.....

The one and only veterinary hospital in Lahore. Staff take good care of animals here. Just try to contact the REAL staff instead of internees. Internees are also good but I had a bad influence. If your pet is sick, yoi can bring your pets here for better treatment without any regret. Hospital has all equipments for treating all kind of diseases of animals. All veterinary medicines are available in hospital. The only problem is the timing issue. Though the hospital is 24 hours, but it's pharmacy closes at 11 p.m. and reopens at 6 a.m. The staff works here in three shifts. So if . You want to visit any specific doctor, you have to visit on prescribed shift. The only major issue is the time during shift changing. Nobody will attend you during THAT 2 hours. So you have to avoid visiting shift changing timings.

There is no doubt that it is a good opportunity for cats and dogs, but there is no doctor for birds and poor animals. I met a Doctor who was discouraging me baout a kite (cheel). He said there is no hope for that bird to heal if i denied to treat or i find something difficult to treat. in fact, the kite has a broken wing (arm: bone) . Someone (bastard) shoot her arm that caused her arm to break. in a nutshell, I felt the doctor was extraordinarily arrogant and he knew that he could not treat this bird. He said me to take my bird to a orthopedic, as there is no hope for your bird at my place. He also said this is the pakistan's best hospital. And really I didnt find anything that proves he was saying truth.

I visited the university for some personal work. Got impressed with the educational environment, cleanliness and buildings. Apparently, the buildings and atmosphere looked much different from typical outdated, shabby and dilapidated govt institutions. but obviously its a layman's observation looking things from a distance. cant comment on inside state of affairs. Good thing abt UVAS is that its maintaining its own Dairy and Beef centres claiming to provide pure and uncontaminated food items. inquired a bit and found that yes some quality control is there under the nose of UVAS for Beef and especially milk and hence milk is not easily obtained. Demand outweighs supply.

I had taken my kitten for vaccination. The checkup is free of cost. Doctors will not charge for examination and for most of the other jobs. But one has to purchase the medicine. Moreover, Rs. 50 will be charged for the slip at each vist. Cat's Vaccination Charges: First time, it gets two shots with a 2-week gap. You will get the medicine for vaccination in Rs. 1800 each time. So, I had spent a total of Rs. 3600 (plus slip fee) for my kitten's vaccination. One private Vet in Johar Town asked me Rs. 5000 for all this 2-week procedure. From now-on, I will have to take my kitten for boosters once a year. That will cost about Rs. 2000 at each visit.

UVAS pet center is one of the oldest pet clinics and veterinary hospitals in Lahore. It is open 24/7. They treat all kinds of pets here including dogs, cats, birds and even the occasional hares. They charge a meager amount for checkup and consultation. The vets are frank, helpful and experts in what they do. Alongwith the pet care services in the vicinity of this veterinary hospital, they also provide care and treatment for cattle and all other animals. They have their own pathology labs and provide full clinical services for animals. Based on my experience as a pet owner, I would rank this place full 5 stars.

Nice and clean place for your pets. Staff is very cooperative. You can visit without any hesitation for getting every type of treatment for your lovely and all kinds of pets. Usually some trainee examine your pets. They do not have a good experience. Our Bella was very healthy and playful. They did not prescribe well. We think they prescribed excessive amount of injections in saline water. We had been visiting UVAS pet center for a full week but in vain. Bella died by the ignorance of these so called doctors. We suggest, either you should reach out any qualified doctor or should go to some well known clinic.

University of veterinary and animal sciences Lahore is situated in the walled city and you can approach the university from bund road ring road towards walled city and if coming from within in Lahore canal r Ferozpur road Multan road you can reach from GC university towards civil courts and dc office. Timings are from 8 to 4pm but 24 hour service included sat sun is also included. Morning drs are very fine but evening r weekends drs are also not bad though. You can take your animals for check r you can also bring your pet animals for Dr consultation and operations r surgeries.

You can say that it is the pioneer of the vet & pet world. The only facility available to treat cases 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. There is another thing. They are super expanding the building to give even more services in a more effective way that would include boarding of animals. Both sick and healthy. It will be functional in a couple of months so be sure to alteast check it out. There are a few downfalls. Like management and medications etc But i assume it is all temporary and will soon be resolved.

Very bad. A kite bird with dislocated shoulder had been sitting in front of my house for 2 days. I caught it, fed it and took UVAS. Emergency referred to SPCA who refused to take the bird saying " aaj chuti hai, Monday ko ayen. Doctor duty per nahin hai". Had to argue with them, threatened with a complaint and alot of harsh exchanges, they filled a form, took a copy of my CNIC and took in the bird. I was expecting they would happily take the bird, thank me and I would leave happily. Bus alas! ☹️

I have mixed reviews about this place. Seniors doctors will save your time and money, while junior doctors (no comments). My request to everyone is dont take your healthy pets there along with the sick ones, as there is 90% chance that your pets will catch some new virus from there. My cat caught a virus from there and when we came back home it spread out to the healthy ones also. Now all there of my cats are dead.

Doctors are good but there is need to improve management and administration functioning. I had rescued a kitten from this hospital he had bacterial infections on his body but staff is totally negligent among caring of animals and he died at my home no one agreed to treat the poor domestic kitten. There are many domestic needy and weak cats but no one cares about them to provide food. UVAS is less caring hospital.

We went on a Saturday when it was officially closed. Our goat had an ingrowing horn which needed to be removed and the wound treated. So we went to the outdoor clinic They did it there and then, without any fuss. They were very quick and efficient, and very helpful. Our Goat was treated gently. The cost of the treatment was very reasonable. I was very happy with the service and will definitely go again.

It is the oldest Teaching Hospital in Asia established in 1882 as Horse and Dog Hospital now upgraded to Pet Centre. The Hospital was then upgraded to University in 2002. The hospital has been providing indoor & outdoor treatment facilities to the horses, cows, dogs and cats, hens and other animals. Currently treatment and advisory facilities have been extended to all Pet & Wild animals and birds.

Usually some trainee will be attending your pet. He wouldn't have a good experience. My kitten was vary healthy and playful. I vaccinated him for UVAS and he got the same virus the medication supposed to prevent. He died from FLP. What I think is he injected excessive amount and my kitten died. Either you should reach out any qualified doc there or should go to some well known clinic.

They took good care of your pet. The only problem they have right now is that don't have any internal heating system. Building inside was very cold. I had to cover my dog with my jacket to keep him warm. Otherwise they are very professional in terms of taking care and diagnosing problem in your beloved pets. Its a govt hospital and you can get good quality medicine in cheap rates.

First of all this place can be more organized and professional. It's expensive and for an ordinary citizen; it's difficult. My pet is most important to me and I am sure that's the case with everyone. Please make it affordable for everyone. If one cannot then my opinion is that they should have a charity or something like that for the Aid of those who cannot afford it.

Well its a Govt Veterinary Hospital and University But tbh I dont recommend you to take your pets there in the evening time as there is no proper Veterinarian available at that time the pets can only suffer there. Even if you are getting treatment of your pet from there don't put them on shelves it only my personal recommendation coz the shelves are not clean enough.

There are better options for pet care in Lahore, but they are private and a bit costly. UVAS pet center is good for routine checkups. If you are not satisfied with an attending vet, you can ask to see the senior on duty. I have taken my bunnies, cats and tortoise there, and always received good care, however for more serious matters ,I prefer private health care.

A visited this center personnly with a stry kitten, severely dehydrated and unable to walk even. Excellent facility if you live near Iqbal Town for getting every sorts of treatment and minor surgeries for your lovely pets.

Had to take my GSD for the treatment. Visited the place for one week continuously. Was very happy for the professional approach of the staff. The only thing which stops me from giving 5 stars is the hygiene aspect. The doctors are very good and helpful. The staff in general is also good and helpful.

Irresponsible staff, the doctor didn't pay attention whatever i was telling her about my kitten. She was just doing her routine checkup. Doctor was much more interested in her mobile more then her job. Staff sounds so greedy, pharmacy person had an out of world attitude. Very very bad experience

Best place for your pet care. Doctors over there are providing their best services under low budget. If you have budget constraints then its the cheapest place to go for your pet care. I have good experience over there with Dr. Rashid and Dr. Asim for my pet surgery and regular treatment.

I went there after many years and it was good to that the old buildings were very well maintained. The environment was very clean in contrast to the chaos and the mess outside on the roads. Dr. Asim and Dr Zia treated my dog and I found them to be very professional.

My Current experience was so bad at UVAS. As my pet is the family member of mine and she was brutally injured but the off timing was 1930 (0730pm) and the available Dr. Faheem was not able to do emergency surgery or provide 1st aid medical assistance. To bad .

They are vets but they are often reluctant to touch our pets...they are not performing their duties honestly...at least they should examine each pet with full attention and guide the owner properly and try to satisfy him about the condition of their pets..

I purchased pure butter at 600 rupees kilo (Handsome quantity) from pet center pharmacy. Butter sounds good for preparing ghee. My experience related to pet care is not good. Pet treatment is satisfactory.

All the staff had good moral, many people came with their pets, I observed shortage of doctors though, had there been a senior doctor available my problem would have been solved in a single day.

One of the few 24/7 pet centres in Lahore. However, the pharmacy is not 24/7 which is a major inconvenience. There are pharmacies right outside the university but they close by 12:30 am too!

The place is huge and i find almost all tyle of pets from goat to rabbit to horse to cat to dog etc. Lacking cleaning of the pet checkup room for cats and dogs. No hygenic thought there.
