This is a wonderful park for a short walk through or a long visit, especially with children. It is a block away from either Yu Yuan or the Bund. It's a great spot for a short break in the middle of the downtown bustle with lots of shade and peaceful scenery. In late September/early October it is Osmanthus season and this park is full of the beautiful smelling trees. In my experience it has the most and densest number of them close to central/ Bund area of Shanghai. I've tried describing the unique scent but words fall short - sweet nectarine/peaches doesn't capture half of it, the best description I've heard is: If dreams of paradise have a scent, this is it. The land comprising the park has an interesting recent history and there are several nooks and areas that make exploring the park worthwhile. Our young children like coming here to walk in the bamboo area (a mini bamboo forest), run on the mini-path and climb the rocks on the south-east edge, run in the open area, and clamber about everywhere in between. If you have a stroller you may need to wander around to find the ramped areas unless it is light enough to lift 4-5 steps at a time, and some paths you will have to leave it behind.

A lot of bamboo. It is hard to call it a park. It is isolated part of city with bamboo growth and some alleys. It seems that it is there by accident but it is ok. Something is wrong but something is ok. Some people try to relax here. That is challenging because outside is full of high-rise and concrete.

古城公园在上海外灘上,在外灘上海繁华的生活圈中難得的寧靜之地。印象與东方明珠的灯光和黃埔江上七彩夢幻的灯光下，反而感覺這邊有一種特別的靜謐之美，在外滩与陆家嘴之间看看步行街後可到這裡散散步，附近吃飯及購物真是不錯的選擇，古城公園內是逸靜及充滿綠意盎然的園地

여기 '예원'옆 공원임. 넓고 꽤 이쁘다. This is the park next to Yewon. It's wide and pretty. ここ"イエウォン"のとなりの公園である。広くてかなりきれいだ。
