A good stop for a photo and a little experience. The flame is a wonderful thing to see, but you do not spend a lot of time there. Usually a line to take a photo and with a lot of tourists. Many of the other things to do in the area this is a nice stop.

Such a great thing to see as you walk to the museum to remind of the need for no more Hiroshima events. The park that surrounds it so peaceful to walk an reflect as you go to the different historical sites near it. もっと見る

This flame will be switched off once the last Atomic bomb will be dismantled, pretty iconic place to visit on the way to the museum of peace of Hiroshima.

2023 8/23 絶えず火が灯っていました。「核兵器が地球上から姿を消す日まで燃やし続けよう」という反核悲願の象徴となっています。また、水を求めてやまなかった犠牲者を慰め、核兵器廃絶と世界恒久平和を希求するために建立されたそうです。

被爆地に地球上から核廃絶がされるまで消されず灯され続けるという炎。1964年（昭和39年）8月1日建立。建立者は平和の灯建設委員会、設計は丹下健三氏。両手を手首で合わせて手のひらを広げた形状のデザイン。建設以来今日まで消えることなく灯され続けている。設立の理念通り、一日でも早く消えることを願ってやまない。 もっと見る
