My visit to Kinkaku-ji, also known as the Golden Pavilion, was a truly unforgettable experience. The temple is simply breathtaking, with its golden exterior reflecting perfectly in the Mirror Lake. It's hard to believe that this stunning structure has been around for over 500 years. . I highly recommend visiting Kinkaku-ji to anyone visiting Kyoto. It is one of the most iconic temples in Japan, and it is truly a sight to behold. I would recommend going here on weekdays and early in the morning as it can get quite busy The temple itself is simply stunning. The gold leaf exterior is absolutely breathtaking, and it reflects perfectly in the Mirror Lake. The grounds of the temple are also very beautiful. There is a walking path that circles the lake, Overall, I had a wonderful time visiting Kinkaku-ji. It is a must-see for anyone visiting Kyoto.

正式名称は「北山鹿苑禅寺（ほくざんろくおんぜんじ）ですが、建物の内外に金箔が貼られていることから金閣寺（きんかくじ）と呼ばれています。 京都を代表、しかり、日本を代表する建物で観光資源で秋も重なってか外国人観光客も大勢見かけました。 1994年（平成6年）にはユネスコの世界遺産（文化遺産）「古都京都の文化財」の構成資産に登録されましたが、火事で消失して復元(レプリカ)したものが世界遺産になるんですね。世界遺産のノートルダム大聖堂も火災で燃えましたが、復元したらやはり世界遺産なんでしょうね？ 私は勝手に、マルコ・ポーロの東方見聞録にある黄金の国ジパングは、金閣寺を見てそう思ったのかと思ったら、マルコ・ポーロの没年が1324年で金閣寺ができたのが1397年なので、年代が全くあってませんでした、、、 金閣寺を開祖した、室町幕府第3代将軍足利義満しかり、 黄金の茶室を造った豊臣秀吉しかり、 金屏風や絵巻が織田信長、豊臣秀吉、徳川将軍にも重用されるなど、時の権力者は、黄金が好きなんですね！因みに私も好きですが、、、 素晴らしい建物で私も好きですが、見方によっては、見栄の塊みたいで、日本的感性の「わび」「さび」とはだいぶかけ離れた気がします。 「わび」「さび」を感じられる、銀閣寺とはだいぶ違いますね。 金閣寺自体の写真撮影はOKですが、三脚を使用しての撮影はNGです。風のない日には水面鏡にらなり味わいのある写真が撮れます。 因みに中学校、高校と修学旅行のグループが、どちらも銀閣寺コースで金閣寺には大人になってからの参拝でした。 京都駅からは、離れていますが京都に行った際には是非、駐車場もそれなりに沢山ありますが、混みます。

The iconic Buddhist temple famous for its gold pavilion is a precisely and perfectly layered in gold leaf pavilion that looks stunning in the light and reflected in the water. From across the pond in front, if you look closely enough or with a zoom lens, you will see a large Buddha statue set amongst other religious items facing the pond - quite a fitting setting in the tranquil and zen atmosphere. The other surroundings really fit with the pavilion - trees, ponds, and water features that complement the pavilion. We arrived before opening time, and as the doors were opening, the line was huge with both tour groups and private tourists waiting to go through. Once in, the crowds move through quite fast, although there is a constant steady stream.

Nice temple to visit in Kyoto! A unique temple nonetheless with it’s golden plating. You’ll have to pay to see the temple and you’re not allowed to go inside the temple itself. It’s definitely crowded and it’ll be a hassle to get a picture of you and the temple without having someone else inside the frame. After the temple you’ll be able to go on a mini hiking trip. The route itself doesn’t really have a lot of things to see but it has a nice green scenery all around. If you’re not the biggest fan of temples then you might want to skip this place just because of how crowded it is and a mini-hiking trip. But, it’s still an iconic place in Kyoto and worth the visit if you do decide to come!

This temple is unlike any others. It's gold. But it's also popular with tourists and school groups. Madness! A stream of people. A hot mess of selfies! And yet, the design of the path is remarkable making it possible to see (and photograph) a building on a lake that seems serene. With the appearance that virtually nobody is there. Sure, go see it, but expect queues and crowds. Go slowly and let the sea of people pour by. Look left and right for other sights and a few little oases within the grounds. Then go to a temple or shrine on the edge of the city or somewhere else in Kansai region (or elsewhere in Japan). Enjoy tranquillity. Be by yourself!

Must see when in Kyoto. Try and go during a sunny day in order to capture the reflection off the water as well as the brightness of the gold. Not a stroller friendly site as the ground is all pebble and there are stairs to navigate upon exiting. Entirely a “one-way” walking route so make sure you take all the pictures you can at specific areas before moving forward. Very crowded with a lot of tourists but you can still manage to capture lasting memories as long as you’re patient. Plenty of souvenirs and soft serve ice cream places in and around the temple.

The grounds are a lot smaller than I thought, but honestly it was just enough of a hike. There are certain areas where you can stop and take pictures of the golden pavilion of course and a few other spots like wishing areas etc. In general, just a very beautiful scenic area. There are a number of stores to buy souvenirs. There are also vendors selling food. It's quite populated at times because it's a very popular site so be prepared for that. People are pretty nice so you'll get your picture ops without any problem.

Like many other temples in Kyoto, this place used to he a retirement home for the emperor Ashikaga Yoshimitsu and later converted to a temple. The pavilion has 3 stories, with each story taken on a design from a different period. If the fusuma screen of the bottom floor is open, you can see a Kannon statue held within the pavilion. It takes around 30 - 45 mins to walk around the pavilion. Kinkakuji is open at 9 am (one hour after Ryoanji, so you could visit Ryoanji first then Kinkakuji afterwards.

間も無く紅葉シーズンですね ここでは入場券としてお札をいただけます。 小さなクリアファイルを持っていくと折れずに保存できます。(一般的な御朱印帳に挟むとはみ出るので折れてしまう可能性があります) 御朱印は出口直前でいただけます。 御朱印所では2列に並び、手前がお守りや書き置き御朱印がいただける列、奥が直書きしてもらえる列です。あらかじめ御朱印帳を出した上でお並びください。 年中参拝客で賑わう鹿苑寺ですが、紅葉シーズンは最も混雑します。 午後は団体客、また修学旅行生は15時〜16時頃にピークを迎えます。午前中の参拝がお勧めです。 京都駅へ行かれる方へ 鹿苑寺付近のバス停は大混雑します。加えて、最寄りの電車の駅も嵐電の北野白梅町、JR嵯峨野線の円町駅(徒歩40分ほど)です。これらは嵐山に直結しているので、大混雑不可避です。 体力と時間に余裕のある方は地下鉄二条城前まで行くことをお勧めします。 道中、北野天満宮、平野神社、二条城、神泉苑など有名な観光スポットも通れるのもおすすめポイントです。 結構な坂道がありますので、足腰の悪い方は誰か支えてもらえる方と一緒に行くことをお勧めします。 ユネスコ世界文化遺産『古都京都の文化財』を構成する最も有名な寺院の1つです。 ぜひご参拝ください！！

Really beautiful and worth a visit. Lots of photo opportunities for the insta influencers and the true photographers alike. Well worth a a visit and very easy to get to. I overheard a couple of Americans asking a the service staff at a restaurant to arrange a taxi to the temple, which would have cost a few thousand yen, while the bus, which runs from down the road from the restaurant cost all of JPY230. And you’re never far from the bus stops that run that way

So beautiful! It's definitely the top spot for every tourist to visit, and surely will be on everyone's list when coming to Kyoto. Of course there are a lot of shrines and temples all over the place, but this is special and you want to catch it during the early morning when it opens, so you can watch it as the Sun makes that gold pop! Honestly, the pictures do not do this place justice. Seeing it in person is something else. It's worth it.

Please go early for gate opening at 9am since best time to get pictures without too many people in front which happens quickly! It is ¥500 to enter for adults and ¥300 for 6 to 15 years. You don’t actually enter the temple however you see it the gardens and we spent an extra ¥500 to enter tea room and air with tatami mats and look at view. What a wonderful way to spend some time at this Unesco heritage site. The place is beautiful.

This is a must see in Kyoto no doubt! It's true that is very crowded all the time but it is worth visiting. The golden pavilion is just beautiful and all the gardens around it gives you that tranquility and peace feeling. The location is a bit far from central Kyoto but you can take a bus that will leave you literally by the entrance or if you like you can walk there through some beautiful streets.

This famous Zen Buddhist temple, also known as the golden pavilion, has a striking feature, covered in gold leaf, which shimmer against the surrounding landscape. It's a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Kyoto's most iconic and visually stunning landmarks. We arrived half an hour before closing time and it was packed with people, so we waited until closing time to fully enjoy and take photos.

Temple is open from 9am to 5pm so I reached about 325pm. Paid admission fee of 600 yen for adult and 300 yen for children (6 to 15 years old) to enter the temple. Gets quite crowded and alot of people will stand near the fence to take photos. Most people are considerate enough to take photos quickly. Quite a small place and can cover it in about 45mins. The golden building looks really nice with the red autumn leaves.

I can’t describe how beautiful this place is. It is just amazing. The earlier you go the less crowded it will be. There is enough available restrooms, there are taxis at the entrance of the site. At the entrance of the last shop, there is an older lady selling matcha rice cakes filled with bean paste and they are very tasty, she offered a sample of the matcha tea and it was nice and refreshing. I would recommend this place to every visitor to Kyoto.

This temple has withstood a lot of attacks, wars, bad weather, until a monk (it is not known whether due to drunkenness or mental problems) set it on fire in the 1950s. It was rebuilt in 1955 and the original gold color was kept. It is a very interesting story, the temple is beautiful (also in a gray day) and so is the park around it. There are very nice souvenir shops. I recommend the visit.

Great place that require little time to be done. Can be a bit complex to get there but if you organise your trip well it is a good place for photos and just enjoy been "away" from the center and still be in Kyoto. Do not come with pushchairs or if you have difficulty to walk. It is not long but you need to use stairs and climb a bit. A pleasant spiritual place with a tourist twist.

A very beautiful pavilion wrapped in gold leaf. Somehow to me it felt like the lavishness and ornate decorations of the temple were our of sync with the teachings of letting go of material things. Unfortunately it was extremely crowded and full of noisy people, which detracted from the peacefulness of the experience. Despite the crowds, the building is still undeniably beautiful.

Gorgeous temple and a must see on your list. Go early and get in line before they open, it will get extremely busy. Take lots of pictures because you can’t go backward, then steer you one direction for walking. Lots of shops and restrooms available. Try to go on a sunny day and get the reflections off of the gold leaf. ❤️ Costs 500 yen per adult. 300 yen for a child.

This is definitely one of the most iconic place to visit if you go first time in Kyoto region. Beautiful architecture and golden color. You can just shoot picture from far away as it is sitting on a pond area with no tourist access. You will need to walk a bit to get there so it is quite hot during summer. There is a spot where you can drop coins for luck and ring the bell used originally to summon people for prayer time.

天気によって評価は分かれると思う。 是非晴天の日を狙って行ってもらいたい。 最初に感心したのは入場券（替わり？）のお札。単なるチケットよりよほど気が利いてました。（写真撮り忘れ） 参道は一方通行で基本バック禁止。また集合写真の撮影、一脚三脚の使用は禁止と、止まる要素を極力無くして渋滞を防ぐ感じ。 土曜日で人いっぱいだけどまだスムーズに進めました。人数規制をしなかったら紅葉シーズンには多分動けないくらいの人が入ると思われる。 余談ですが200円で鐘を1回撞けます（記念ハガキあり）。誰憚る事なく鐘をつく機会ってなかなかないと思いますので興味があったらぜひ。 訪問者はほぼ9割は外国人。今日限りの評価ですがマナーは皆良かったです。 もしかしたら中学の修学旅行で行ってたかもしれないけど感覚的にはほぼ初回の金閣寺、行って満足でした。

There’s a ¥500 entrance fee to go through the shrine, and there’s a bit of a one-way walk through the entirety of the shrine complex. There is a couple of shops on the way for mementos and souvenirs so make sure to bring enough money. At the end of the path, you can find a shrine where you can light up an incense or a candle for your personal wishes. A must-see.

500yen for each adult ticket. Ticket attendant at the entrance requires each person to have their own ticket. You cant just pass 5 tickets with your family present. Temple looks great. We just walk one round and left. The path is a one way. You have to continue all the way to the exit where there will be shops selling souvenirs/amulets and rest room.

I first saw this spectacular temple more than 20 years ago, and it's just as impressive now as it was back then. Yes, it is a bit of a hike just to look at a gold building and some gardens and then leave. But when did you last see a gold temple!? We got there at about 9.20am and it was packed with quite a few school groups. Plenty of places you can wait to get an unobstructed photo

Absolutely stunning and a definite must see. However, as with most other main attractions, absolutely avoid going on weekends or holidays if at all possible. Also try to beat the crowd by being early. The view is stunning, but your experience will heavily depend on how crowded it is. I went when it wasn't really crowded and it was spectacular

言わずと知れた金閣寺。京都駅前から午前中ステップバス（2階バス）に乗車し、市内街並みを目にしながら奥まって走る。金閣寺アナウンス下車地から五分程で入口到着。ここで注意することは、トイレ！下車地から全くトイレが無い。店舗は二軒程営業しているが、トイレ貸しは皆無。たとえ子供さんでも我慢しかない。金閣寺に入ってもすぐに無い為、特に注意したほうがよい。お目当ての金閣寺は目に鮮やかな金色を夏空に輝かせ人混みとは裏腹に心は鎮まる。手入れが施され順路通りに歩行できるが、混雑を避ける為、山道も含まれており高齢者は少々きついと思うので違反のない程度にバイパス歩行もあり。（かな？）入山料と引き換えにパンフレットとお札を戴くが、チケットではないから持ち帰るか、納めるか、をおすすめしたい。 滞在時間は約1時間強。足元の小石の音さえありがたく感じてしまうのは金閣寺の美しさだと思う。

You need to come see this at least once. The gold leaf palace is spectacular. The walking path took us about 45 minutes. 4 stars since there were so many people. We came at 9am on a Thursday and there was a huge line to get in. The walking path was crowded from start to finish. Glad I got to see it in person, but probably won’t go back.

久々に訪れたが、金色に輝く姿は、なかなかに神々しい。久々に訪れたが、圧巻である。 多数の見学者がいて、一つ気がついたのは、境内がバリアフリーでないことはもっと記載してよいのでは、ということ。これは仕方ないことではあるが、外国からの車椅子の見学者を、大変そうに連れ合いの方が石段を上げていたが、その後どうしただろうと思うと、気になって仕方ない。 鹿苑寺側ももう少し優しい案内を心がけても良いのではないだろうか。 土産物や自販機は多いが、表示も少ないし、多数の見学者に対してあまり配慮がないように思う。檀家信徒と見学者とを比して、見学者を下に見ているような風潮ないか。いま一度問いかけてほしい。それこそ京都らしいのかもしれないが、慈悲の心がまあまり感じられないのは残念。

This is a very popular site, not just with tourists but also student groups when I visited. The golden pavilion is amazing under the sun, which glows shinely. The whole place can be covered around 30 mins, which is quite enjoyable walking through. Right at the exit, you can have your fortune tell for 100 yen. It is a must to visit!

An absolutely gorgeous grounds with an interesting part in history. It is, of course, immensely popular with domestic and international tourists, so--as with most sites in Kyoto--plan to go as early as possible. Even so, be prepared for heavy crowds. 10月9日に京都の金閣寺に行ってきました。 残念ながら紅葉までは少し早い季節でした。 金閣寺は、室町時代に足利義満が建てた禅寺で、国宝に指定されています。 金色に輝く三層の建物は、池の水面に映る姿がとても美しくて、見とれてしまいました。 屋根の上に鎮座する鳳凰は凛として光り輝いていました。 もうすぐすれば金閣寺の周りには、紅葉や松などの植物が植えられていて、四季折々の風情を楽しめます。 特に、秋の紅葉は見事で、金色と赤色のコントラストが鮮やかです。 金閣寺の回遊路は、約20分で一周できますが、その間にも色々な見どころがあります。 例えば、鳳凰堂や白鳥池などです。 金閣寺は、日本の歴史や文化を感じられる素晴らしい場所だと思いました。 写真では伝えきれないその美しさを、ぜひ皆さんも体験してみてください。

The temple is very nice and a must see. But there are just too many tourists. You will need to queue for one of those iconic pictures and the rest of the route you will be stuck in masses of people going in the same direction. Come for sunset to get the nice reflection on the golden surface of the temple.

Going out on a limb here with a 4 star. Yes, it's splendid and eye catching, and maybe summer doesn't get the full glory. But found the garden and grounds not so inspiring, nice tea house though. It's a one shot wonder, so given my restrictions on giving 5 stars for Kyoto, because so many places could be, it's a 4.

A lovely temple indeed. The ground were beautiful and serene despite being right in the city. This temple has a unique history and I enjoyed seeing it. There's a touristy feel about it though. Many shops along the way to get a piece of your pocket. Kind of steals from the spiritual aspect.

The grounds here are breath taking! There will always be tons of people here, especially school field trips, but everybody is generous. You can still get some awesome pictures of the place. The shrines, zen gardens, and history is spectacular. This is a must see stop if you are in Kyoto!

臨済宗相国寺派 鹿苑寺 舎利殿 金閣 が正式名称と教わってきましたが、今や『金閣寺』は通称でもなく、相国寺のWEBサイトですら金閣寺と書かれています。 金ぴかというとても分かり易い特徴があり、海外からの観光客で賑わっていました。 建物単体ではなく、鏡湖池と併せて景観を楽しむ建物に思います。 風がなく鏡湖池の水面が穏やかだと、金閣のリフレクションが美しいです。 ただ、あまり近づいて観るものでもないような･･･。 ご存じの通り金は非常に腐食に強い金属なので劣化しません。それが特徴でもあるのですが、逆に侘び寂びの寂びが殆ど感じられません。 近づくと玩具っぽく感じると思います。

Famous temple in Kyoto. Saw it many times but I would say that this is a MUST visit place. So beautiful. Nice view with red leaves and blue sky. You must have seen this with your own eyes. I went there by bus using Kansai Thru Pass from Bamboo forest, Arashiyama. It's so convenient.

A very beautiful area with an exquisite gold covered temple. I'm not sure if there is another one like this in Japan. There are really a lot of visitors, but you don't have to wait in lines. At the exit from the temple, there are places where you can buy icecream with gold also sake with gold and other interesting things.

It's a beautiful temple, the gold is very exceptional and you won't see this anywhere else. However it is a small place to visit (you will be in and out within 20-30 minutes if you take it slow), it is only 500Yen so pretty doable. Very busy during the day though.

修学旅行ぶりに訪れました。やはり観光客が多いですね。特に外国人には人気の場所のようです。入場券売り場は並んでいましたが受付の方がスムーズにさばいていて、すんなり入れました。 実際の金閣寺を見たのは十数年ぶりでした。相変わらず煌びやかで異質な存在感があるのですが、一方で周囲の自然に馴染んでいるようにも感じます。不思議な感覚。 雨どいにも金箔が貼られていたのに気づいた時はちょっと笑ってしまいました。 出入り口には大きなお土産ショップが建てられており、想像以上に観光地化していてびっくり。銀閣寺はもう少しこじんまりしていた気がするので、やはり金のインパクトがすごいんでしょうね。

Absolutely breathtaking taking. It’s something to see once in your lifetime at the very least. It is so peaceful and beautiful especially when a golden light it’s the Golden Pavilion It closes at 5pm (we went on a monday, not sure about the hours for other days)

The golden palace!!! Beautiful feast for the eyes. An awe inspiring piece of architecture that is testimony to the human spirit. Our only limitation is our imagination. An especially special sight for me on this premises was the 600 year old bonsai tree which was transplanted into the garden. Nature is wonderful!!

I was very fortunate to visit Kinkaku-ji during the autumn and got to enjoy the beautiful gardens in their glorious autumn colours. The temple itself is jaw dropping and there are many fantastic viewpoints to enjoy it from as you walk through the gardens.

A beautiful temple with picturesque surrounding gardens. It will be very busy upon opening, but with patience, everybody is guaranteed a nice photograph of the scenery. After traversing the circuit, there are tasty food stalls which sell cheap snacks. Highly recommend!

2023年9月 40年ぶりに金閣寺に訪問。 Roku Kyoto LXRから徒歩20分程で散歩がてらに歩いて訪問。 お昼ごろに訪問したが既に沢山の修学旅行生や海外からのツーリストでかなりにぎわっていた。 ゆっくり歩いて回ると1時間程度必要です。 事前に金閣寺について予備知識を入れていくともっと楽しめると思います。たまに修学旅行生の近くで一緒にガイドの話を盗み聞き？をするとへ～と思うことが沢山あり非常に面白かった。 やはりゆっくり見るには朝一で行かないとだめだな。紅葉の時期は激混みになるのは間違いなしなので開門と同時に行くのがベストです。

京都を代表するお寺の一つだと思います。10年ぶりくらいに訪れました。 前回は晴れた紅葉が綺麗な季節だったので金閣寺がとても煌びやかに見えましたが、今回は残念ながら雲っていたので写真映りはいまいちですかね。 それでも鏡湖池と撮る金箔に覆われた優雅な金閣寺は素晴らしいです。 金閣寺を建てたのは、室町時代に最も力を持った将軍の足利義満で、各地の守護大名を従えているだけではなく、貴族に対しても大きな力を持っていたそうです。金閣寺はまさにその力の象徴です。3階建ての建物で、2階と3階部分は金箔で見事に覆われています。1階部分が金箔でないのはどうしてかなとか、1階も金箔だとどんな感じなのかなと考えてしまいました。

2023.9訪問 9月末日の休日利用で訪問、前週西国三十三ヶ所札所を満願達成した為、今回京都定番のこちら訪問。 週末だった為、外国人観光客も多数！ さすがの世界遺産、建造物や庭園は息を飲む素晴らしさ、圧巻です。参拝順路も示され分かりやすいですが、観光名所化になりすぎて、本来の参拝の方向性からずれて来ているのはやや残念(清水寺等もそうですが)です。 しかしながら見事でした。 御朱印も頂きました。朱印所は出口付近の不動堂近くで頂けます。後拝観券代わりにお札が頂けます。

久々の訪問。特に待ち時間はなかったが、かなり混んでいた。やはり外国籍の方が多く、どこの国の人にもわかりやすい、特に外国の方にとっては京都のシンボリックな寺院のひとつなんだろうなと改めて思った。 あまりにも金ピカピカなので、正直あまり趣は感じないが、先日たまたまバンコクで久しぶりにワットポーやその他寺院を見学してきたところ、金箔の貼り方が非常に雑で、やはりそれに比べると金閣寺は同じ金ピカでも丁寧な仕事をしているなと感じた。 ただ、やはりここは外国の友人を連れて行く時などには良いが、あとは雪景色の中で見る好機にでも恵まれない限りは、またしばらくの間いいかなと思ってしまった（笑）

Beautiful scenery Had a good walk for sure! Love to visit these historical palace, learned so much of the history & culture they are bringing today. They don’t provide stamp here but they do have ¥500 Goshuin. (you may refer from the photos i attached)

コロナが5類になった事もあってか、平日に訪れたが大変な人数の外国人観光客と遠足の児童でごったがえしてた。金閣寺が美しく見える撮影スポットは特に人だらけで、順番待ちをして写真撮影したらすぐ退散という具合で喧騒としており、落ち着いて雅やかな気持ちで参拝とは程遠いものだった。 しかしそんな気持ちも金閣寺の美しさ、神々しさ前には吹き飛んでしまった。さすがは世界遺産である。

金閣寺！とても綺麗だった〜〜♡ ほとんど外国の人が多かった印象です。 御朱印帳貰う時、御朱印書いてくれる人の 声が小さ過ぎて何言ってるかわからなかったかな！ 2歩くらい下がって待たないとダメってことを伝えたかったんだと思います！ 並んでもいたし、疲れるのはわかるんですが もう少し声をはっていただければ… ただ御朱印の綺麗さはさすがですね

ほんとに綺麗でした！金閣寺も立派で素晴らしかったです。もし、行ってみたい方は是非、十分な時間をとって行くことをおすすめします。金閣だけでなく、ほかの神社や地蔵なども鹿苑寺の中に一緒になって入っているので、1時間、少なくとも45分はかかると思います。しかし、ほんとに行ってみて時間がかかっても後悔しないので、是非、京都に来た方は行ってみてください！

京都旅行2日目宿を出て龍安寺の次に行きました。土曜日の昼前でしたが駐車場はまだ空きがありました。さすが世界文化遺産だけあって外国の方々が多かったですね！なかなか写真が撮れなかったです。出るまでずっと人の列でした。自分は小学校の修学旅行以来の訪問でした！塗り替えただけあって金ピカの輝きで感動しました✨絶対に訪れるべき場所ですね！

土曜日、朝イチで並びましたが、修学旅行生も多くいましたし、観光客も沢山いました。 少し後から来るとすごい並ぶので、朝イチで来る事をお勧めします。 入り口付近の鐘(有料)を鳴らしましたが、音が大きくて驚きました笑 金閣寺の前はすごい人集りなので、反対側に回って写真を撮るといいかもしれません。 やはり行って損は無いですね。とても綺麗です。 パワーを感じられるスポットでした。

金閣寺は本日紅葉きれいでした！曇りだったためやや残念でしたが来週までには紅葉が終りそうな感じでした。 金閣寺の駐車場はたくさんあります。入り口入ってすぐトイレがありますが便座つめたいです(笑)あと海外の方が増えてきてるのでトイレがやや汚くなってます。トイレットペーパーを流さないゴミ箱に捨てて行くせいも不潔に感じられます。

世界遺産金閣寺は京都の鉄板観光地。 京都の鉄板観光地ではあるが、鉄道駅からは離れていて京都市営バスが主力アクセスになります。 バスは他方面に行くけど、バス車内も道路も混んでます。 地下鉄で北大路駅まで行き、北大路バスターミナルからバスに乗るのがおすすめ。 入場料は５００円。 御朱印は出口付近で３００円で頂けます。

2023年の夏に訪問。 お盆の最終日に五山の送り火を見るまでにまだ時間があったので、夕方に行ってきました。 専用駐車場にもそんなに待つことなく入れました。 駐車場が17:10に閉まってしまうということだったので、車を降りて急いで参拝に行きました。 料金は駐車場が確か800円くらい。 金閣寺への入場料は大人1人500円でした。 極楽浄土をこの世にあらわしたと言われる金閣寺。 久々に見ましたがやっぱり優雅でとても綺麗でした。

Must visit at least once. The gardens are gorgeous and the temple is stunning. Truly a place to fall in love with. Sadly you can't sit and enjoy the gardens but the temple is still well worth the visit.

紅葉の始まりがけでしたが、ちょっとした紅葉と金閣寺の組み合わせは感無量でした。 市街からは少し離れていますが、1時間ほどでサクッと回れて、他の寺院とも見た目からして異なる魅力があり、外国人の妻も喜んでいました。 カップの飲み物やソフトクリームは中に持ち込めないので注意してください。
