I was accompanying my sister to this liquor store today. She comes her once to twice a week and spends anywhere from 50-75 dollars. When it came time to pay I was standing next to her and an incredibly rude, sorry excuse for a man, who made it clear to tell us he was the "owner" began to yell and talk down to us. He was upset that I didn't have my ID, although I wasn't purchasing. So instead he made me leave which I would have gladly done in the first place had he told me nicely. After I left my sister tried to diffuse the situation with this "owner" because he still had a very aggressive and disrespectful demeanor with her. Instead this power trippin "owner" decided he wanted to lose not one customer but two. I rather commute in the future Instead of being yelled at as if we're weren't paying customers.

A guy I met working as manager of a hojo on 82nd and sandy....this guy is amazing. I stayed at the hojo outta town for almost 3 months. We are talking a pull a gun on you anywhere on the block type place. I seen this guy difuse violent situations. And resolve management responsibilities with depth and wisdom. Many times. Cause in that neighborhood? That's all you get. The guy? I wish I could remember his name. But this guy? He remembered me from the hotel. Two years ago. This guy is a top shelf guy. Should be running something. He is working here. A man of strength, integrity, and resolve. May God bless this liquor store while he is there. When he wasn't at the hojo no mo? It went all to hell. That guy? Created profit. Cause I won't stay there anymore But I stayed while he was manager there.

Once again disappointed with this business. The "owner" wasn't present this time around, but the staff is just as rude and unhelpful. My advice is to save your money and go to Hawthorne Liquor, there you'll be respected as a human and treated like a valued customer The "owner" is probably the single rudest service industry person I have ever met. These folks are NOT friendly to cyclists, not do they care to recognize that people come to a liquor store to spend money... Often good amounts of it too. I was literally run out the door upon entering because I was wearing 'clicky' cycling shoes; which is fine because I'm happy to buy my alcohol from somewhere far more helpful and friendly.

I love this location . Very easy to get in and out of the larger parking lot. The Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the products.. they take the time to answer my questions and will even ask for opinions of other coworkers if they are not sure. Staff will call for extra cashier if needed when the get busy. They are very efficient!! Store is always well organized and clean , which says a lot for the management!! I really like the fact they take the extra precaution of asking for ID when I use my Bank Card, this is for my safety and it is very appreciated! So , to the Staff and Management, thank you for the outstanding Customer Service!!!

Refused to allow me to use my wife's debit card as my name is not on it (had to order replacement card yesterday for mine) because the lady said "my wife could be underage." And refused to sell me anything. I am 37 yrs old and my wife 38, I am not a child rapist not do I enjoy being addressed as one. When I said I would get cash from atm they all of a sudden were fine with the sale. So I guess it's ok to sell to people you afyer being accused of supplying to underage kids as long as you have cash here. I felt like I was being called a child molester by these workers.

Hands down favorite liquor store in Portland! Super convenient, friendly staff every time. Portland vodka is a favorite! Lots of good deals. Always well stocked. Easy to park. Alwsys well staffed so never a line. They even have San pellegrino Cold! Come here and you'll never go anywhere else. Can I have a 6th star Please! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Friendly employees and a great selection not dirty inside and the urban campers are keep down the road so not interfering with you shopping. Only reason this is not five stars is because they don't have a good inventory list and so can't tell you what they have in stock even though the OLCC website knows there inventory better.

Favorite place to buy liquor. The staff are AMAZING!!!!! And the owner really knows his stuff. They have a wide range of product as well as price. I like that not everything is behind a big counter, I can actual walk around and tale my time with out feeling like I'm wasting anyone's time.

I sent my adult daughter in with my debit card....her ID..of course didn't match and they turned her away. So I went in....THANK YOU! for checking....even tho a slight inconvenience it was still ok...since you wanted to be sure... I appreciate the fact that you looked and questioned!!!

Went in twice this week after the new mask rules and the cashier was completely mask-less both times. we even called and talked to the owner and was assured staff would be wearing masks. I will be reporting this to the OLCC and not shopping here even though it's just down the street

I was looking for a specialty bottle of Angel's Envy Cask aged bourbon... This was the only store in Portland that had it... The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable they had it on hold for me and when I got there they had me in and out the door in less than 5 minutes.

If I could give a negative I would. I tried to pick up tequila for my disabled 52 year old roommate, and the old lady at the counter would not allow me to use her card as I've done many times before. Won't be coming back as long as she works here!

Only place I found cherry juice not Rosa brand ...they ladies here are great and treat you like one of them ..for a non drinker i felt at home here buying stuff for soda and non achoal drinks...they took time out and chatted ..this my kinda place

Selection is a bit better than I remember! They have a sizeable selection of cheap liquor now (mostly local no name brands I think) and some spendy stuff I'd never touch. Appreciate them arranging the shelves in order of price.

Nice store. They have good prices and a large variety. They would have gotten 5 stars from me, except the lady was kind of brusque when I tried to pay exactly because I had included 5 pennies...they don't take pennies, FYI.

So I was told that they don't take cigarette coupons, when I was there this week. They would not tell me why just that they don't take them. Other than that it's a nice place. Most of the employees are very friendly.

Not really their fault, the location is too small to have a decent selection. It's fine if you want some of the more common brands. Prices are okay, but their saving grace is the staff: friendly and knowledgeable.

Come here every other day and it's so fast and quick. In and out. I absolutely love it. Very rarely ever any lines, and when there is they go by real quick. Plus the woman that work there are pretty chill.

Helpful people, a nice selection of local micro distillery options if you want. Cheap cigs. Mixers, liqueurs, you know, a liquor store. Open later than most others. And Sunday-funday! Boom.

Clerk said the store is going to discontinue offering bags. ( as if they can't afford them ). When I said there are other stores to go to, she agreed. A bag versus 30.00 sale ? Hummmm.

Business is usually fine when you go there in person but they never actually have a phone that you can call so you can check on prices and that’s something that is really annoying.

It’s a liquor store just like all the other liquor stores around. Competitive prices. Nice cashiers. Usually a line to get in during the weekend due to social distancing.

Small but good liquor store. I have found some of my favorite rare bourbons here. It must be overlooked because of its size. Definitely worth checking out!
