Omg Dr. Tripp & his team are amazing!! I had a terrible toothache that radiated the pain from my left temple to the left side of my neck (the tooth was on the left that was giving me pain). I scheduled an appointment, came in early at around 3:20pm & my appointment was for 4pm (‘cause I knew I had to fill out papers) & there were 2 other people that were ahead of me & the wait time was NOT LONG at all! I was seen in I’d say 30 mins & Dr. Tripp was very thorough & everything he explained was clear. His staff is also amazing; every single one of them. They make you feel so comfortable. So anyways, Dr. Tripp made his diagnosis & I chose to get my tooth removed. At first I was really scared ‘cause I was in A LOT of pain but he explained to me exactly what he was doing during the whole process & of course gave me anesthesia. I asked if I’d feel any pain & he said no but I’ll feel pressure & that’s exactly what I felt. No pain, just pressure. My tooth was extracted in what seemed like 10 minutes. I was so shook! It felt so brief & I was kind of sad ‘cause I thought it would be a long process but I’m also glad it was short LOL! He is very professional, quick & precise. I recommend Dr. Tripp to EVERYONE! He will take care of you I promise.

Called to update my insurance information and they were supposed to call me back to go over a treatment plan and they never did. They told me I needed to get one of my wisdom teeth removed but should probably also get the others removed too. The front desk lady was very pushy and didn’t give me much time to think over before handing me a treatment plan including the invasive procedures of getting all four of my wisdom teeth removed and scaling / root planing. It seemed like they were very quick to try rack my bill up without fully explaining why I needed to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled when they weren’t bothering me. Also scaling / root planing is an expensive procedure. I felt something wasn’t right and decided to get another exam at Louisiana Dental and they tell me I don’t need to get any of my teeth extracted because they are growing in fine. Also I don’t need a root plane at all and just need a general scaling. So my treatment ended up costing a fraction of 7 o’clock dental was trying to bill me. Stay away from this place. I get the feeling that these people are scammers. Also they were supposed to send me my x rays after I emailed them a record release form and never got back to me.

I had been given a referral to 7 o’clock Dental from my military dentist. He was completely booked out due to COVID and I needed a cavity to be fixed pretty quick. The COVID protocols at 7 o’clock are very reasonable. You call when you’ve parked, they let you in and there are three socially-distant chairs in the waiting room. There was a pretty big hang-up with my insurance so I ended up waiting almost an hour to be seen. While I was there, every time I spoke to someone working there or I overheard them speaking to a different patient, their customer service was incredible. The greeting that they have to say EACH time they answer the phone is lengthy at best, but seriously every person in there was kind and upbeat. When I finally got to the exam room, multiple x-rays were taken by two different hygienists. Again, their customer service and “bedside” manner was amazing. Dr. Tripp came in to look at the x-rays and saw NO cavity. So after spending the better part of my morning there and thus finding out I needed no work, I left feeling dumbfounded at my original dentist but so happy to experience top-notch customer service with 7 o’clock Dental.

This is, by far, my favorite dentist I have ever been to. Dr. Tripp and his staff are incredibly kind and compassionate. I am so grateful for their help with some recent, very stressful dental issues—I know that, had I gone elsewhere, I would not have felt as cared for and as satisfied with my procedures. Dr. Tripp and his assistant, Shalena, have been so receptive to all of my concerns and feedback, and I always feel that I’m receiving the best care possible. They explain all of my treatment options clearly, and respect the decisions that I feel are right for me. They consistently make sure that I feel relaxed during procedures and that I’m happy with how my teeth look and feel afterward. Every patient deserves a caring dentist like Dr. Tripp. New Orleans is lucky to have him. This is a small, private practice, but the atmosphere is far more relaxing/calm and professional than any of the larger, corporate dental offices I’ve been to, or any other private practice I’ve visited. This office is owned and run by local members of the Black community, and 7’Oclock Dental is absolutely deserving of our support.

I loved my experience here! It's really clean and sanitized. What really caught my eye was how my dental assistant changed her gloves each time she got up to do something before working on me. That showed me how they pay attention to detail and care about patients health! My daughter and I went in and they cleared up a lot about what we suspected with my daughters old dentist. She had xrays that showed her last dentist shaved in between her teeth and she noticed the drill during a cleaning but she didn't question it. Food kept getting caught and it was painful- after her Xrays ar 7oclock showed the split between teeth I explained it to Dr Tripp and he quoted a fair price to have her work done. The price for my work is also fair price. They are very professional and passionate about what they do and it shows. Also, I forgot my ID in office and Dr Tripp ran out to parking lot to gove it to me! So happy I found a dentist I can trust! I am calling to make appointment for my husband today!

Horrible office to deal with. Dentist was not informative. I had an appointment to have a cracked tooth looked at and cleaning done. Drove 3 hours from out of town to the appointment. They were fully aware I lived out of town.They didn't clean my teeth and just wanted to pull the tooth, charge me for a bone transplant with out looking at my entire mouth to see if I was even a candidate for an implant.. Waited for days to hear from their office for insurance approval and never heard back from them. I am responding to you reply and that is not true at ALL! The receptionist offered for me to come in the day before Thanksgiving but I couldn't get a cleaning also. It was ALWAYS scheduled a week later to have EVERYTHING done! Not to mention I waited in the office for over a hour just to sign a release after getting a second opinion. The " billing" lady was extremely rude and difficult to deal with. She intentionally handled business avoiding me for once again over a hour!!!

Would not recommend this dentist. When I first came in for my appointment I was given a treatment plan and told that medicaid would cover the cost of two cavities and scheduled a follow up for me to have them done. However, after I was done with my follow up appointment they told me that medicaid would only cover one, unlike the two I was originally told, and they had actually only filled one cavity, not the two I was originally told would be filled. They also told me after my follow up appointment that I had an additional cavity that I wasn't told about prior. When I asked for the original treatment plan which listed all of the cavities I had, I was told that the original had been deleted because the cavity had been filled, which is illegal under RS 40:1165.1 as you are required to keep medical records for 6 years in Louisiana. Dr. Tripp also told me that he prefers patients who pay out of pocket and would prefer not to take Medicaid patients like me.

So disappointed in this dental office to say it’s black owned. That’s why I chose it. The first appointment w/the female dentist was great. Of course they have to make a good impression. After that that everything went down hill dealing with them.They pushed me back a month while I’m in the process of getting my mouth fix. Dr. Tripp messed up on my fillings and it wasn’t my first time getting fillings done. It was annoying getting that fix.The communication is SO horrible. My insurance didn’t approve me for my surgery. I had to call them to get that info. I guess since I was denied they figured they didn’t have to call and tell me when I first told his assistant if my insurance is denied I don’t mind paying out of pocket. I just want my mouth fix.Referred my cousin Jessica to them and her experience was horrible too the second time. Happily taking my coins to another surgeon.

I've only had one visit with 7 O'clock Dental so far, but I have future visits coming up. My personal experience for the first time was pretty good! The staff was pleasant, friendly and easy to talk to. Dr.John Tripp was very knowledgeable, humble, and he also listened to my concerns. I've had some really bad experiences in the past with other dentist, and I was very reluctant about going to another dentist but I knew that I had to go. The office is up to date with all of the latest technology, and I was very comfortable. If there is anyone out there that has the Jitters about going to the dentist, I would recommend giving 7 O'Clock Dental a try. I gave four stars because I've only been there once and I have future appointments coming up. There's no doubt in my mind that the Stars will be five next time.

Dr. Tripp and his team made my dental experience seamless and really enjoyable. From start to finish I was thoroughly impressed. I was able to text his office to make an appointment and his front desk staff Kelcie responded back right away and worked with me to find an appointment time that fit my busy schedule. The day of my appointment I was seen on time and although I was nervous, Dr.Tripp took the extra time to listen to all of my concerns and made me feel at ease by explaining every step of the process in a way that was easy for me to understand. He fixed work that another dentist messed up and I am able to smile with confidence again. I would recommend him to all of my friends and family!! If you are in New Orleans this is the guy to go to!

They can handle minor stuff just fine. However, came here to get my teeth straightened using their clear aligners. After 1 year and having two of my teeth permanently shaved down to make room, my teeth looked no different. Never saw the Tripp the whole time, and at the end he goes "yea that doesn't look how its supposed to." Then they said I needed 10 more months of treatment and more teeth shaved down to make more room for the straightening. Went to an orthodontist and made more progress in one month with braces then 1 year of those aligners, and it cost less, also didn't need my teeth shaved down. Wasted a ton of time and money on those aligners and part of my teeth are now permanently lost. Should have went to an orthodontist from the start.

Before I chosed this dentist office, I researched everything (which you should anyways). I liked the website (so much information), and made the appointment. Due to Covid-19, you have to call one arriving to let them you're there (not a bad thing/idea). No problem, it lets me know that health is #1 priority. Once inside the pictures(online), matched what was inside❤❤❤❤. Everyone is very friendly and 100% felt comfortable. Dentist Sky(I believe that's right), OMG, she listened to my concerns and answered every question. The location is perfect, no matter what direction you're coming from. Most people would be turned off because of the location...DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS LOCATION!!! Can't wait for my next appointment

I was in town for an event that just so happened to require me being on a stage in front of hundreds of people and my front tooth chipped. I did a quick google search to see who would take my insurance. Dr. Tripp did and had great reviews. I booked the appointment and they were able to get me in immediately to fix my tooth. He did an excellent job and his work still remains on my tooth. Though he had to rush to make it happen for me, he did not rush the quality of work. I had no reason to get it checked when I returned home by my local dentist. He and his staff were extremely courteous and helped me laugh and find humor in my issue! I highly recommend this practice, their quality of dentistry as well as overall care for their clients.

I had a very good first visit with 7 o’clock Dental, receiving a check-up exam, x-rays and a cleaning. The front desk staff were very professional, courteous and responsive. Dr. Tripp and the dental assistant were very attentive to my requests, questions and concerns. Both took great care in ensuring that my teeth were thoroughly cleaned, yet with a gentle touch. I appreciated having the option of using the massager on the dental chair and I especially like that they offer a fluoride-free polish option. 7 o’clock Dental also took time to help me identify areas where I need to give more attention and better care. And they were also flexible and understanding of my request to wait on certain treatments.

I hate the dentist. I have had to have work on multiple teeth over the years because of an accident and have sat under the drill in a lot of dirty walled, stained carpet dentists offices only to have the big man behind the mask shame me for my terrible teeth. I know they're terrible -- that's why I'm at the dentist. 7 O'Clock Dental was the exact opposite. It was clear from the start that Dr. Tripp and his staff go out of their way to make their practice nice, clean, and comforting as possible. You can tell that the office approaches dentistry with empathy and kindness rather than a luxury for the straight-toothed few. I am so happy I found 7 O'Clock Dental, I only wish I had found them earlier.

My Aunt went there a few months ago to have multiple teeth removed to get implants and has had an unpleasant taste in her mouth that takes her appetite away. She was asked to come in again a month later to have more removed. She lost 28 lbs. Her health has since declined and she had no previous health problems before the procedures. She has been hospitalized for blood clots in lungs, pneumonia and now she’s having seizures. Her sister called to discuss these issues and was told by assistant answering to call her medical doctor without reporting it to the dental professional doctors. NO HELP OR CONCERN. She was perfectly fine before going to this facility, her MEDICAL DOCTOR made sure of that.

Dr Tripp made my trip to the dentist worth my time and I really didnt feel like leaving. I could never have put comfort and dentist in the same sentence till I met him. I had a tooth growing under my gum and had no idea about it but always had this massive pain, it got really bad on a night out with some of my friends while in New Orleans and a quick google search led me to 7 O Clock dental. It all happened in the blink of an eye, like it was the best dental service I received ever. I had the tooth pulled out and my smile was restored without the extra pain. The level of professionalism was superb and I was happy when leaving there. I would highly recommend them over and over again.

I was very pleased with the service from beginning to end, especially during this Covid - 19 pandemic. As a new patient, I was sent all of the forms to be completed and submitted electronically a week in advance of my appointment date. In addition to being reminded of appointment, I was able to confirm electronically. Upon arrival I telephoned to be checked in. A returned call instructed me to walk to the office door and I was greeted by Dr. Skye Smith. Office was clean, staff was friendly and in full PPE gear. I was informed of everything from examination to future treatment plan. Received teeth cleaning and was on my way. Very grateful 7 O'clock Dental was open and available.

Hello my name is Angela Epps I visit 7 O’Clock Dental a year ago , which was recommended by one of my employees I had a teeth that was hurting me a work I said the tooth had to come out right then cause I was in so much pain, she told me to call them I did went that same day and they pull the tooth I was very satisfied so I knew I was returning for whole mouth to be done I returned a year later and have started my procedure had 5 teeth pull i was very comfortable, it was clean and very relaxing in the room , pleasant workers nice an attentive you felt welcome. I would recommend 7 o’clock Dental to everyone that need dental work done Thank You

U don't get that friendly feeling when u walk in there was no receptionist at the desk when I walked in I stood there for 20 minutes before I called to let them know that I was standing in their lobby the only person that gave me a humble feeling was the dental assistant even the dentist himself was straight to the point no smiles no it's going to be okay no nothing the dental assistant gave me more reassurance than anybody she was very nice she was the best one there and I wish I know her name but I don't but for that reason I will give this place three stars and the dental assistant

When I first visited 7o’clock Dental, I had been putting off going to the dentist for a long time due to other past experiences. Dr. Tripp and his staff have been taking great care of my teeth for about a year now. I so enjoy my visits that I drive from Mississippi to New Orleans for my visits and it’s well worth it!!! The office staff is very friendly and caring and go out of their way to make you comfortable. I recommend 7 o’clock Dental to everyone!!! From cleanings to crowns and implants, I’m very happy with the services I have received!

The staff is great as helpful but the doctor Tripp not so much. He was very dismissive of my concerns post wisdom teeth removal. I was never given the syringe to remove debris/food from my holes. So food kept getting trapped and causing more pain. He told me over the phone there was no food. Till he finally saw me and removed food but still lied to me and said there was no food. I even had to get a second opinion where i was told it was a botched job. Took way longer than usual healing time. Would not recommend.

I visited 7 O'Clock dental based on the excellent reviews and was not disappointed. Dr. Tripp is a great dentist. While any visit to the dentist can come with apprehension, the professionalism of Dr. Tripp and his staff is comforting. The office has state of the art equipment and most importantly they address your every question and concern before, during and after any work done. The hours are accommodating for busy professionals. I had a dental emergency. They saw me the NEXT DAY. Unprecedented experience for me on that alone. The care to prevent Covid is above and beyond any doctor's office I have been in lately. The people are kind and calming (I'm terrified of dental work). Dr Tripp not only found the problem, I was treated for it ON THE SPOT. Unheard of anywhere else. When I suspected the next day I may have some infection ongoing from the problem, antibiotics were called in within the hour. I am beyond impressed with this office.

I called the clinic early Monday morning because I was having some unbearable jaw pain. How Abington been here only once before, I thought they would schedule an appointment for days or weeks out. They were able to see me the same day. I really appreciate the same day appointment and willingness to help me on short notice. I was in pretty bad shape. (I ended up having a root canal done). I love that this clinic opens so early and closes late in the evening. The entire staff are pleasant and patient.

I have been extremely pleased with Dr John Tripp and the treatment I have received from the 7 O’Clock Dental. From start to finish, I felt very pleased with the professionalism and advice that I have received which answered all my doubts about my suitability for an implant. My first time here. A bit hard to find. It’s tucked in the back of a strip mall. They accepted my insurance. Okay, so here is the 5 star report. I had an emergency and they got me in the same day as a new patient. The staff was very warm, welcoming and professional. Dr. Tripp was very prompt and thorough. He knew exactly what I was worried about without me saying it. It was like he read my mind. He took very good care of me. And the office is very clean.

I've faithfully gone to 7 O'Clock Dental for about 4 years now. The staff is great they feel like an extension of family. Dr. Tripp provides exceptional dental care and advice. He's also always looking for ways to stay current in the field. Initially he didn't offer dental implants, but he took the time to refine his craft and now offers the service. I love going to this place and have no intention of ever going elsewhere. This is my spot!!!

The dental Assistant was nice. She did my cleaning which was weird to me being that it's usually a hygienist that's suppose to do your cleanings. Dr.Tripp came in to see me for literally 10 seconds. He showed no concern in my dental care which is causing me to have more work done. I honestly believe it was due to me having Medicaid and not private insurance. I would not recommend this place if it was the last dental office on earth!!!

I was truly afraid of getting my wisdom tooth pulled but after cracking it I had no choice! One of my sisters convinced me to go to Dr. Tripps because she had an amazing experience. I must say the staff and Dr. Tripps helped me ease my fear and I not only got 1 wisdom tooth pulled but 2!!! After the procedure, I never felt any pain, amazingly! The days after was slight healing aches but I was back to normal activity immediately after!

I got all 4 wisdom teeth pulled Thursday, and I must say the staff and Dentist were extremely gentle and helpful. I’m healing wonderfully, I woke up the next day with a mouthful to say lol. Great hospitality, they have a Godly spirit that makes you want to keep coming back and that’s rare in this industry. Thank you so much for you guys assistance, I suggest anyone reading this to change dental services and go to 7 O’ clock dental.

I went here for a cleaning and fillings. The fillings were extremely painful, more than any other filling i had anywhere else. Also, since then (a year ago) one tooth has been painful with food getting caught in very deeply. Just visited a new dentist who was amazing and showed me x rays and images of the fillings done here. There were uneven spots where it looked like a crack in the side because the fillings weren't done properly.

The experience was very, very pleasant from the moment I stepped through the front door. The reception was friendly, polite and professional. The young ladies working the back area was also even nicer very professional, polite and respectful. Whenever she did something always made me aware of what she was going to do prior to doing it. The doctor was polite as well. 5 all the way across. I was a 1st time visitor and I will return

This Dentist visit was every bit of AMAZING!!!!! I needed one part of my bridge removed and the tooth decided it wanted to crack and brake during the process. Meanwhile the tooth had a screw in it and had been repaired in the past. The tooth was horrible. The Doctor pulled my stubborn wisdome tooth in less than 20min. No pain No water in my face and No blood everywhere!!! Awesome and Amazing experience thanks Doc

Easily, the best dentistry that I’ve been too. Dr. Tripp is very gentle, comforting, and did a great job on my extraction. I was super nervous about it, and all the assistants and staff are very calming and helpful. They made it feel like it was easy as pie - which was the exact opposite experience of my last extraction at a different dentistry, so I’m very grateful to find Dr. Tripp to do my whole implant process.

The experience was first class all the way, especially during this time of this crazy pandemic. From my appointment being set, to my secured entrance, to the polite and professional dental assistant to Ms. Dianne who delivers your bill with the most kind and compassionate way! And of course, my Xavierite brother, Dr. Tripp III, your staff and your facility is awesome! I'll be back next week for my appointment!

7 O'clock Dental is very professional, timely, and knowledgeable regarding the newest procedures/treatments. My family and I have been loyal clients of Dr. Tripp for many years. I've referred co-workers because of compliments on my smile and they've all been pleased and remained as clients. I plan on having my teeth for a lifetime, if this is your plan also then Dr. Tripp should be your choice!

I went to Dr. Tripp to get all four of my impacted wisdom teeth removed and it couldn’t have gone better. My procedure was completed in less than an hour and I felt no pain or distress thanks to the anesthesia and laughing gas. The office itself is very clean and welcoming and the staff is extremely nice. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and would also go back for future dental needs.

Oh my God! I am so afraid of the dentist but today I went to Dr. Tripp for an extraction of an erupted tooth with bone removal and I swear I didn’t feel a thing. This is a first because I always feel pain. This angel really impressed me. He showed patience and he was very professional. I am still in awe after this procedure and I will recommend this young man. His staff was good too.

My daughter got a crown from Dr. Tripp less than 5 years ago. She needs another now. Crowns are supposed to last 10-15 years. She still is experiencing jaw pain from the root canal, and crown he gave her. Then he calls my cell on a non business phone, 10/09/2023 in the morning with a attitude about my review. He's very unprofessional, I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

My experiences & visits with 7 O’Clock Dental have truly been my best dental experiences that I have ever encountered without any doubt! The ladies that work there are very courteous, and they were great at meeting my scheduling needs. Dr Tripp is the best dentist I have ever had and I will continue to come back.

A very good dentistry clinic. The staff is very friendly and the environment is shaped so that you can ease your anxiety while waiting for the operation. The doctor is gentle and exhibits empathy while also accurately and firmly working to fulfill your needs. I definitely recommend this clinic. Also, the prices are decent.

Everyone is very nice and welcoming from front office on back to clinical. I never had to wonder what was going on they explained every detail as they went on. The office was clean and neat. They have private rooms for patients. Its been a Great experience and i would definitely recommend this office to everyone.

Dr. Trip and his hygienist were such lovely people! They took my insurance no problem and cleaned me right up and gave me a cup full of goodies at the end! I’d recommend 7 o’clock dental to everyone! Didn't have the best first impression and had to come back. BUT I will say my 2nd visit with Dr. Tripp was much more pleasant. His voice and his presence was so calming. For someone who normally has a panic attack before a dentist visit, I was so relaxed and felt so calm. I will be going back for sure.

Visited the office to have a tooth extraction & bone graft today. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My procedure lasted all but 35 minutes and I was done before I was able to get comfortable. Definitely my visit was pleasurable and for sure I will return for future dental services.

The reason why I chose this doctor is because of him being black and the location.They are trying to do their best. They are not like my previous family dentist Dr. Noble Cooper Jr. from Columbia, South Carolina. But they are trying very hard the staff is very friendly and professional.
