My husband got arrested for driving with a suspended license. But the thing is his license isnt even suspended. They told him to call Our insurance , that it was a financial ordeal. We did and they said everything was clear. Now the car is taken away and we dont have a way to commute to and from work. When i called to ask for information about my husband, they answered rudely and made me feel like i was an idiot for asking anything at all.... And when i asked if he was either gonna make bail or not, the officer over the phone said. "Come get him. That'll be 200 dollars." And then hung up on me.... He came home a few hours later because he had been released and posted bail, but now we dont have a car, and even though we've found what impound its in, theyre asking us to pay a $200 fee. We're going to be suffering GREATLY financially because my husbamd was arrested WRONGFULLY.
The officer I spoke to was quite rude. I was involved in a minor car accident when somebody backed into the side of my car, causing multiple scratches. She kept focusing on semantics such as, "If she spoke with you, then it's not a hit-and-run". (Yeah, more like a "hit-and-talk-then-run".). Also, she told me to ask my insurance company to look for the driver who refused to show insurance information. Then, she corrected me on "their car is grey, not black." Officer Harris was her name. She continued to treat me as if I was not worth talking to, even though I was the victim reporting a crime. Absolute garbage police station.
I come to Chicago frequently! And just like many other cities I've realized that police are worthless! Well most of them not all. I've learned a long time ago that never call them even when you need to. It only makes things worse. Not too long ago someone crashed my car in a parking lot and speed away. I simply just told my insurance I hit a deer and paid the deductible. Calling the police would have been a waste of time. Police are only good for getting revenue for the city. I'd rather avoid them at all cost. Many of you should too! Just by reading these reviews. Lots of corruption as well.
I agree it was my fault. I left my garage door open and my lawn mower was stolen. Because I had a police light right above my garage, I asked this detective to review the camera. Immediately, the blue light on the camera stopped flickering and the detective never even gave me a call to let me know if he saw anyone. Every time I call, he's on furlough. Now I was told he will not be on duty until Friday. I can tell that he does not care. I will not deal with the police, unless it necessary. I will not report any thefts, burglary or anything. They dont give a damn about me or this city.
I went here to file a report of battery after being thrown to the ground by a contracted (off duty police) security guard in Boystown during pride. All of the deputies at the desk and the sergeant on duty were condescending. They jeered when I implored the officer speaking to me for a bit of compassion. I don't know if it was homophobia, as I am a visibly queer person, or just sheer hatefulness that caused them to treat me this way. But, alas I was able to make a report. Though the sergeant remarked "It's not going to go anywhere," I'm still getting a lawyer.
YOU CAN'T GET A POLICE REPORT IF THE OFFICER ISN'T THERE, I GET THAT! BUT THIS OFFICER HASN'T BEEN AT THE STATION FOR TWO WEEKS?! AND EVERY TIME I CALL THEY TELL ME HE WILL BE IN TOMORROW, SUNDAY OR NEXT WEEK! THEY CHANGE UP THEIR STORIES ALL THE TIME! WHAT IS GOING ON .. I was in a car accident 2 weeks ago and yet I still haven't gotten my report. This officer works at 9th district, but still hasn't finished the report. ITS BEEN TWO WEEKS! I need this report for my insurance, but do they care...
Going through an accident is obviously not a good experience. The process of going to a police station is not easy and that is a fact. But when I went to this police station for police report I had a good and seamless experience. Officer Miller was very kind and helpful through all the process and with creating a report of the accident scene. I really appreciate her time and efforts. Thank you officer Miller! Thank you for your service.
I GIVE ZERO STARS...This afternoon I experienced the most unprofessional help from a white shirt and a few officers that was on shift today, then the white shirt was very sarcastic with me...they left me on hold while standing in the police station...just bc I was there for a car collision it wasn’t important enough...I would not TRUST or depend on them very saddened
I just discovered my car was stolen, so I phoned this district office. It's like trying to call Macy's toy dept at Christmas; is there no one on duty to handle incoming calls? It's obviously not of importance to them; not even the courtesy of a recorded message. It rings interminably then switches to a busy signal.
They are really rude here they don’t do their jobs unles it’s almost time for their quarterly reports are around the corner police officer opened my car door with out my permission telling me to get out for a traffic stop I will be filing a complaint on the whole station plus the Sargent
Called the desk to ask to be connected to CAPS officer. Desk answered immediately and though the officer I was looking for was not available they found out where he was and put me thru. Caps officer was very responsive to my problem. It felt like a whole new police department.
Called to ask about a hit and run case with dash cam footage and the woman on the phone sounded so uneducated and unpleasant. She hung up after we asked for clarification. If you hate your job, just say so. Don't try to make everyone else miserable.
I called to ask a few simple questions. The officer I spoke with was rude and barely gave me a response. You all need to retrain all departments! We’re all going through hard times some compassion would be nice!
Estoy agradecida con Los Oficiales de este departamento... Especialmente le agradezco su tiempo y ayuda a Él Sargento Echeverría.... Dios Los Bendiga Siempre... Gracias …
They were very gentle when they handcuffed me, And their patrol vehicle are incredibly roomy. Overall, very professional. Will get arrested by them, again for sure.
