Highly Recommend. Travis and team are top notch. I cant say enough about the overall experience. As with the start of any major reno, we were nervous. We were transforming a house from the 1990s (tons of oak) to a fresh modern look of white and expresso. This isnt the job for a regular painting team. A Burst of Colour is experienced in staining and painting, and they transformed our house. The finishing were exceptional 1) extremely professional - You will not find a team like this elsewhere in Calgary 2) courteous - He had 4-5 team members in the house at all times. All were friendly and ensure our place looked clean at all times. 3) very fair priced - we had a number of painters give us quote. Not only were they fair priced, but Travis was the only contractor that came by and showed us the confidence in completing the job. 4) invoiced professionally with every single job set as a line item - I was impressed with the level of detail in the invoice. 5) very timely- gave us a concrete time line and stuck to it. If required they pulled long hours to get the job done 6) detail oriented - They would pick out the flaws before we even pointed them out. 7) all about customer satisfaction - ensure that we were satisfied rather than waiting to get paid I highly recommend them. My wife and I were absolutely blown away with the professional results that was achieved on our kitchen cabinets. We were very nervous and truly hesitant to "paint" over our outdated maple cabinets but both Travis and Ashley understood our nervousness by providing us both guidance and support in making this huge decision. We paused and even cancelled and what impressed me then was there was no pressure on their part to gain our business, only appreciation for our time with them. That alone told me this was the right company for us as they put our needs front and center. When we did decide go ahead, the actual project went extremely smooth and our main site expert Brent took this project on like it was his own home. At the end of the day when all the work was completed, Brent left with his wee vacuum in hand. He turned around at the door and left us with a huge smile, caring nod and sincere thanks for our business. We absolutely love our new cabinets and would highly recommend Travis and Ashley. I did not want to forget to mention that with this project came some very valuable and free interior designer advice. Dee helped us to decide on colour and was instrumental in providing the antique look we were wanting. Awesome results there too. The overall price was very, very reasonable but when you add in their caring service, expertise and professionalism, I felt we underpaid....

We would highly recommend Travis and A Burst of Colour! We had Travis and his crew come out to paint the main floor interior of our bungalow before we moved in a year ago. They also painted the dark wood around our fireplace and mantle a nice light colour. Beautiful durable results! We were so impressed with the quality of the work that we had them come back this summer to paint all our kitchen cabinets, and the stair railing to the basement. They showed exceptional attention to detail during the prep phase, with great respect for our home and belongings. Since we are NOT interior decorators we really appreciated having them send one out to help us pick exactly the right colours for our projects both times. During the work we were out of town for a few days and returned home to find out that Travis had called in a plumber for an emergency fix when our fridge water line broke. From my first contact with Travis regarding a quote for my kitchen, bathrooms, ceilings, walls, and furniture, I realized that Travis has a passion for paint (yes, this is a thing!). My wife and I would heartily recommend A Burst of Colour. They have just completed the interior painting of our two level home in Sundance. Travis and his team were absolutely wonderful. They were professional, courteous, and thorough through all stages of their work in our kitchen. Absolutely amazing job guys! Completely transformed our house. Once we accepted the quote, Travis sent in a designer (free hour with her for every 5k spent) she helped us pick the paint colours and gave us tips on how to stage our house once the work was done! Furniture, lighting, walls, etc. were all protected with poly and taping. The work site was kept organized and clean throughout, especially in the evenings and at the end. I hired A Burst of Colour to paint my basement ceiling. It is an exposed ceiling so I needed to touch base a couple of times with Travis, the owner, to get ideas on options. We had a fireplace mantle painted to match window frames and kitchen cabinets. From the beginning of the project Travis was always professional and prompt in responding to our requests. The whole crew are polite and courteous. Travis never made us feel like a "small job" wasn't important. They spent many hours getting it just right. We contacted this company. It took a number of tries until they committed to coming in for an estimate two weeks out. We made arrangements to be home during that day. Travis never showed up. I contracted them to find out why no show. No answer. If they treat a prospect with this “respect”, I can’t even thing how they treat a customer.
