The facility is not secure at, one of the gates is left unlocked at all times. When we first moved in, I found a piece of a shaved key that someone had broken in my lock. I contacted management several times asking if they could watch the security cameras to find out who had done it. They refused to help me. I then asked them if we could move to a new unit and one of the managers told me to just rent a new unit. The other manager Shane then refused to let me rent another unit when we needed it. He accused us of trying to work the system and use the free month to get free months. Along with all of that, the only bathroom's are portable facilities,which would be fine if they had an acceptable hand washing station. The hand wash station consists of a faucet in between two of the buildings and a bar of soap that is set on the wall. They dont even provide hand sanitizer anywhere on the property. Especially during the pandemic its important for businesses to have the safety of their customers in mind. Here they completely disregard any caution businesses are required to follow in order to keep everyone safe. Also TONS of spiders cockroaches and ants. I have to spray our unit frequently to keep our belongings safe. I've talked to other tenants and they've had the same issues.

I had a storage here for over a year. This place is totally awesome. They are laid back enough to not be all up in your business like some storage places Ive had, yet at the same time they have the place well taken care of. The maintenance guy there is amazing. Doesn't talk much, but he is super nice and helpful. He keeps the grounds very clean and maintained very well. Can't say I ever saw a trash can that was full on the property. Most storage places don't even provide a trash can because they don't want stuff left behind. The gate hours are reasonable. I know I've lost track of time and been in there after hours.. yes they will charge you. But at least we can all be sure our stuff is safe there. That is what matters.. The guys in the office are awesome!! I went through some major ups and downs this last year and they were never pushy or threatening when I was late on a payment ...that meant so much to me. I don't like it when a storage place calls to threaten to sell your stuff 24 hours after being late on a payment. Over all this place was awesome. I highly recommend them. Their rates are very very reasonable compared to some other ones in the area.

Unfortunately I bought several storage units here and placed a $200 deposit for the clean up. On the last unit I was told they were not worried about the clean out time. However, I received a ban from the auction company and a ban from bidding on AARDVARK auctions. I told the guy when he asked what my time frame was, I told him if he wanted it done Same day, he could either keep my deposit and I would remove the lock or I would have it done within another day. I also rented my own storage unit but I won't be returning. Too many people basically living in the units and doing heroine. Other people with their pets hanging out all day as well as people plugging in lamps and laying on matresses in their units. I also saw the mexican guy who drives the cart literally getting dressed in the first storage unit one morning. Had his shirt off and was buttoning his pants. Seriously unprofessional.

THIS IS ANOTHER COMPANY MANAGED BY PLATINUM STORAGE GROUP , Force them to make change . i Have 2 units at Daytona storage after being there a total of 5 months i was approached by a very rude property manager , I felt it was more about my race how she was acting , in December i reported it to her supervisor who work under, SKIP ELEFANTE, JOHNNA GRANT and GENEVIEVE SIGMUND, i told her i was being harassed and discriminated against by her employee , She said it would be handled . After that i was singled out again , Per her orders . i e mailed her again , Here reply was i am on a month to month and they are terminating my lease i have to move out by 1/31, or they will evict me. because i stood up to a racist person , do not support this company or any company managed by platinum storage company

I've been renting this storage for over 4 years. Of course, the price of storage units went up since then, but I think the price is reasonable. All the staff are very kind and professional. I really like the fact this whole storage area is very clean and well maintained. Also, they have lights with timer (it's good to have timer so they can save the cost of electricity) so it's easier to clean and/or organize your unit. I highly recommend this A Aardvark Self Storage to anyone who needs to rent a storage unit. :)

For the price, it was fair. I chose the cheapest locker and it cost me $70/month. The caveat for that price is that you're on the top floor and the heat is unbearable, even during the cool months. Some of our plastic bins warped due to the heat. Again, the price was attractive and its proximity to our residence made us bear with the heat issue. Everything is wooden and pretty stinky and I was quite happy to be out of there. All in all, if I needed a new storage locker in the future, I'd find a different location.

I’ve had a storage unit here for around 15 years and have had no problems with them. I am trying to downsize so I don’t have to pay so much but their prices are reasonable and they come with insurance. You have a passcode that you use to enter and then you use your key to enter your storage unit. You can pay your bill several ways which is convenient. I pay by mail. That works best for me. I’m considering paying online when I downsize to a smaller unit. The staff is friendly and efficient.

This place is excellent with friendly and helpful staff. They have some of the fairest prices for storage in San Diego, different size options. There are port a potties here but they're extremely clean. The only downside is that it's not climate controlled so the top floors can be a little hot sometimes. There is an elevator for moving items but it's not accessible for people. There are only 3 stories so it isn't terribly inconvenient.

Aardvark storage is right off of the I-15 and aero drive on Murray canyon road. Very convenient to Central San Diego and you won't find a place in San Diego where you can get a better deal for the square footage you get for your unit. Then here. It's a little rundown and not as nice as other storage units, but the staff is friendly. The place is clean and it has a locked gate with security cameras.

I vacated my storage unit today. I am very unhappy with their service and the excessive fees I have been charged. The main reason I chose to go through the hassle of switching units is because I was charged a RIDICULOUS amount of late fees and when I asked them to reduce the charges they flat out refused. I feel I was taken aadvantage of and over-charged.

This place is awesome! They do not have openings very often so when they do, jump on it. The facility is clean and secure. The rent here is almost half what I was paying at the storage facility down the road from here. The office guys were polite and the gate hours are generous. Highly recommended. ♡

We needed a space to store things for a few months as we looked for a new home. The security at A Aardvark was convenient. If I need storage in the future I will certainly return to this place.

Best prices for storage units in the city. Units cost higher the lower to the ground floor. You are cuz there's no central air. So it can get really hot in the summer
